Played the original movie trilogy, Ultimate, Web of Shadows, Shattered Dimensions, Maximum Carnage, & Separation Anxiety. I know there's a couple more good ones, but haven't gotten there in my backlog yet

Is it just me or is the amount of dialogue (such quality lines as "I know" twice within ten seconds) seem too much? I thought the character was meant to be more of a reserved man of action rather than words.

Because either you have something modern and shit or "old" and good as most modern devs don't have the passion, willingness to learn much about their system or create their own perfering to mash third party stuff togother in the hope of something being even remotely playable.

Outside of the super scripted chase scene, there wasn't any. In the area with the enemies he didn't swing at all outside of scripted QTEs, webs only moved him like a batman-esque grappling hook straight to a target.

It looks like they will overuse them though. The whole chase scene was QTE shit, and they were sprinkled throughout the building. Have a few QTEs, like that one where you shoot as many webs as you can to stop the heli falling, but don't make it so the whole game is QTEs and cutscenes.

QTEs are action packed which is why I think they chose to show so many of them. It's unlikely the entire game will be like that, not only because that'd be stupid but also because it'd probably cost too much

It isn't a stretch to assume that every chase scene will be a QTE fest with similar animation to other chase scenes.

I don't know much about videogame development but it seems as though making a full QTE wannabe cutscene event would be more expensive that just splicing a few copy and paste enemies for you to take care of. Also I doubt too much of the game will be chase scenes.

It's probably a good idea to point out now that people who get the corruption shit from Mister Negative end up with a photo negative appearance. If the devs follow standard photo negative methods then corrupted Peter will look somewhat like this. Now we have a possible idea why the spider on Peter's suit was white.

I won't mind if Miles is a sidekick to Peter with the option of playing as him, but I don't want to be forced to play as Miles. Likewise, it would be nice if they gave us an option to play as any of the symbiotes or other characters from Spiderman. Carnage sidequests could be fun.

He's diversity quota spider-man. He started out as a black kid who received his powers from the "spider-totem", let Ultimate Peter Parker die, then felt guilty and became spider-man. It was all Mary Sue from there as he continued to one up everyone who stepped in his way including the original Peter Parker, as well as Doom and Hydra at the same time because they made him mad.

Marvel has been trying to push him as the main spider-man more and more recently but nobodies biting aside from journalists because he's probably the most boring character in the Marvel Universe.

I really enjoyed Shattered Dimensions and Web of Shadows. SD was a fun romp with lots of fanservice but barely any space to web swing. And it had good web swinging if I remember correctly. Web of Shadows had incredibly satisfying air combat and swinging with not much else. The pirated version I had was also bugged to shit and I couldn't finish it.

Spider-Man 2000 is still the best Spidey game though.
