Some heists are 90% shooting and 10% grab a bag or something yes, but heists now are shit like stealing a museum, a casino, a plane midflight, nukes, etc.

It was never bank heists only, not even payday 1. Payday 1 had a mission in which you go into a hospital and steal a patients blood.

I think the biggest problem is that they go for realism. Realism over fun is always a bad thing to do. They slow down the game for no good reason. Money bags shouldn't slow you down and equipment should not, or less effect your visibility or whatever you call that shit.

I don't think realism is the word, in a game you can use claymores and miniguns to rob jewelry stores. Its more of a case of they catering to le streamer and youtuber audience, and nerfing shit on base of their opinions. Same shit Paradox does.

I'd say realism is the right word to use when you compare payday 1 to payday 2. Sure, generally speaking it's not a realistic game, but they tried to make payday 2 more realistic. Certain changes like bags slowing you down, or you not being able to wear full armor and do stealth missions are a result of them trying to make the game more realistic.

I think they need to slow down on that bullshit.

This shit always felt really bland, doesn't even have a good hook to it like fragile alliance in Kane & Lynch.

Payday 2 is near the end of its life, it will officially end support next year and they'll go full throttle on Payday 3 along with their other WIP games.
The devs are making the base game free, but it has a lot of DLC. You can't buy any of that DLC anymore, though. They're packing it all into one bundle along with the base game.
Basically, this is the F2P version. If you want the rest of the game, you're gonna have to pay.

The game currently has over 100k players, which means the majority of players are new.
I'm XV-100 and I keep fucking getting players who are fucking 0-60 join my OD lobbies with their shitty unmodded weapons and empty perk decks.
Don't even talk to me about Crime Spree. I'm rank 600 right now and I'm only getting rank 30 and below players.
You simple can't carry a team on CS with a rank that high. You need several other good players.

It's even worse than that because what they did was sell all the DLCs discounted while the base game was still at full price which meant you would have to pay around 48 bucks in order to get all the base game + all the DLCs. Coincidentally the ultimate edition which they are now planing on selling happen to be 45 bucks. So it doesn't matter what you do, you still have to pay over 40 bucks in order to get the full experience unless you got the base game for 5 bucks on sale.

I'm having a fairly good time with the base game but good fucking damn it all does it piss me off. Especially since at least 60% of the fucking heists are locked off and same with the weapons that I guarantee are far better than anything the base game has to offer. Does any one have the DLC unlocker? I refuse to support kikery of this magnitude.

It's basically prestige, it's called your Infamous level when you get to lvl 100 you can reset your lvl back to 0 and get an infamous perk point to put inside an infamous skilltree to unlock shit. Sadly like half the tree is "10% EXP bonus to all EXP earned" which is unimaginative as fuck and tedious.

It represents one's Infamy level, which basically works like Prestige in CoD and says how many times that player has reached level 100 only to burn tons of cash to start over at level 0, so it's a good measure of experience. Becoming infamous nets you an infamy point which you can spend in the infamy tree, but it mostly contains masks, reduced skill point requirements for certain skill trees, and minor XP boosts.

It's called Infamy.
When you get to level 100 and have $200,000,000 in offshore cash, you can gain an Infamy level.
It takes over 23,000,000 XP to gain 100 levels.
XV is max Infamy. I means I've gone Infamous 25 times, which is roughly 600,000,000 EXP and $5,000,000,000 offshore cash.

OVK got so buttmad that they patched the game to flag you as a cheater if you use DLC that you don't actually own, but it doesn't stop you from doing it anyway.

They can, they chose not to ban you for it. DLC unlockers are known since Borderlands 2, and in early days valve tried to patch it but at some point they just gave up.

Reminder that the ability to detect people as cheaters was sent to Overkill by the people that made the cheats because they felt bad.

I've managed to beat Panic Room on hard difficulty with bots and aside from not picking up any loot, taking initiative or using items such as ammo bags and medkits they were fairly competent. How bad were they before?

You're new, I'm guessing? You can solo Panic Room on hard without getting any damage pretty easily.
The bots were basically just buffed up cops that fought for you. They couldn't be customized, given skills, weapons or anything. They were just two randomly selected characters that would fight beside you. They were shockingly bad. They went down all the fucking time and constantly got staggered.

Well you can now give them op weapons making them better than a real player. I had bots solo bulldozers easily. The only bad thing about them is that they don't interact with shit and drop bags for no reason.

They really need to add options for how they hold bags.

They are a lot better, I'd say sometimes they are even better than real players. The only problem is they drop bags. I don't know why, is it because they get shot? It seems random to me.

But since they have unlimited ammo and reload very fast you can basically give them any weapon you want, they will dish out a ton of damage. You can even give them explosive rounds and shit so they are able to fuck with shields.

I haven't touched this steaming pile of garbage since the Crimefest Incident in 2015, that REALLY put me off, even after pumping over 400 hours into the game. Have they done ANYTHING to fix the issues the game had? Balance wise, desync, glitches, anything at all?

I stopped playing when they added the infamy updated and I must say it feels decent today. You can now have multiply profiles with different loadouts and skill trees. You can reset your skills for free. The game still crashes a lot, every time someone joins my game there is like a 25% chance of the game crashing. Biggest problem is the community is still retarded as fuck.

You get called a cheater for Using inspire. Using inspire through walls. Having a Deathwish Mask. Using HE rounds. Using a silencer on a Judge (He said it was a Bronco) Killing a doser with 2 shots (Thantos) Picking up ammo/using health kits. Carrying 2 deployables. Nine-lives. Pistol messiah. That bulletstorm after picking up ammo and so on.

Steamworks crack, you can play most steam games cracked online. What you do is you change your games ID to a free game and valve will let you launch Payday 2 thinking you play a free game. They allow you to play online with others who do the same trick.

So the basic idea is that I combine Anarchist + Fenzy, someone suggested this in the other thread and it works really well for me. As long as I keep shooting people my armor stays up. I had 3 points left so I put one in stable shot, that oppressor one and into that sprint dodge thing.

I am not yet sure which shotgun to use as secondary. Currently I am using the Steakout 12G (big magazine, almost instant reload) and the gsps 12g shotgun, but I also have a Street Sweeper lying around. The Street Sweeper shoots faster than the gsps, but also deals less damage.

dsps 12g deals 4176, the Steakout 1380, the Street Sweeper also deals 1380.

Loco is bestest secondary shotgun. Judge is pretty good too.

Yeah but the mag size is to small. I used it for a long time, was my favorite secondary shotgun for a long time. But when a huge wave rushes you, you need a bigger mag. It deals same damage (4176) but has 2 less bullets in mag. Only good thing about it is that it reloads faster and fires faster. But in my experience it's not enough bullets to finish a dozer.

Looks good so far, 10 bullets, fast fire rate, and 2544 is also decent damage.

I see no point in that. I think it's fun to make the best out of the game, if you turn on god mod it basically takes the fun out. That said, I did use some lua scripts to unlock all the weapon and weapon mods.

Actually, not only is it not hard but it's a fucking cakewalk compared to what it was two years ago as well. You know how fucking hard you had to grind to get to level 100? No, it didn't take a few hours like it now does. It took fucking ages even after Hoxout came along, and Firestarter (or was it Rats) was the most rewarding heist before that.

Which reminds me, they really need to throw this game away and work in Payday 3. I hate Killing Floor (the first one, I will not play the second one anytime soon) but even that game is better balanced. In KF you got classes for everything, shotgun class, fire class, healer and a explosion class. Wish they had something like this in Payday 2 too. Would have been nice if they had tree points for explosive damage and stuff like that. Because right now I see no point in ever using the grenade launcher or rocket launcher.

But this is what happens when you constantly add new content to your game, you fuck up the balance. And in this game the balance was already bad day 1.

As for me, there's basically nothing to do anymore except help friends and newbies level. The only other time I go on PD2 is when new DLC comes out (and gets unlocked, thanks to Pirate Perfection) and mess around with the new guns for a bit.

I pre ordered payday 2 back then in 2013 and played in the beta. Played it for like 2 months before I gave up, came back later when the infamy update got released but didn't stay long back then either. Cheating was unavoidable back then because some content was locked away. I don't know what it was, but I think it was the ictv armor. It was in game, but you could only use it with cheats because overkill was jewish.

Anyway, I tried the "everything unlocked" skill tree and I don't think it's fun to play that way.
