The first one sold quite well, and although TF|2 hasn't had the same gangbusters sales in the launch window, it's experienced growth month over month since it was released according to the community blog. EA may be viewing it more as a goodwill project than something meant to print money like Battlefield Kangz. They had a free trial a while back on PC, yeah, and they're open to more.

Theres a reason for Titanfall 1 doing gangbusters though, the hype for it was it through the roof since it was the only Xbone exclusive shooter at the time.

I honestly think more weapons like the smart pistol would be alright, instead of codkiddy weapons. I liked focusing on parkour and it would be good if they made the smart pistol less accurate on moving targets, and other weapons. If you have good parkour, you don't die, but campers get cleaned up.

Here's an example roster from me:
-Smart pistol (as described)
-Sprint Rifle (Sprint faster and get unbroken movement chains to get both ammo and damage for the weapon, fires very fast in a yuge spread. Accuracy increases with the chain, along with fire rate. Everything quickly dissipates when you break your chain.)
-Jumpgun (Shotgun that acts as a jump assist or an air-dodge)
-Taze Master (Deals lots of damage during rodeo, but non-lethal to living targets. Has a random chance to eject the other guy from his titan.

Smart pistol is a noob killer, and sprint rifle along with jumpgun are skill weapons. Smart pistol also serves to keep vets on their toes and to keep moving, else get wiped by autoaim, which a bunch of salty cod faggots whined about nonstop.
The other thing I like better is having really customizable titans instead of that assfaggots choose your hero crap.
Thirdly, I liked dealing actual damage in rodeos instead of AY FAM AY HOL UP AY YO IMA STEAL THIS BATTERY FAM AY SHIET.

Ever since they fixed the recharge rate for light chassis's using Turbo Engine, I can usually deke out of the archers way. As it stands, thrusters without(U+200B was here) the Viper module are nearly useless, so I'd be up for a rework of that too.

Vision blurring when tethered would make a lot of sense, especially since it is extremely easy to one-shot pop the trap and continue pursuit unhindered.

In the campaign it's established that Titans have personalities that develop, and each Titan chassis in the MP has unique dialogue and voices, so it stands to reason that they too have personalities. The fact that some of them can fit your preferred playstyle like a fucking glove, and that they talk to you and give advice as you play, to the point of giving very passionate warnings to eject when they are critically damaged makes it feel like they care about you succeeding and being safe.

Some of them even complinent you on your skills, and they greet you when you hop in the cockpit.

I miss monfu-titan that would say it missed you from the last game. It was also the only one to refer to itself as I instead of auto titan. Not being able to change voices irks the shit outta me. I also liked gps titan lady.

For Origin? Maybe. Either way, my advice stands: the game is best played on PC and the console versions are for shitters. Watching the developers play through levels with a controller was bad enough; I can't bring myself to imagine actually controlling the game like that.

R101/R201 has a good hipfire. Hell I'd say Flatline has horrible recoil, even more so mid air.

More people play on console so it's good in that regard. The game is slower but a lot of people on pc don't fully utilize the fast.

I seem to land more consistent hits with the Flatline, and it does more damage to boot. The recoil is mostly vertical, so I can compensate for it somewhat. The R-201/101 just goes everywhere for me.

Also I've never had a problem finding a game on PC since release. Lack of a playerbase isn't really an issue since the relatively frequent updates keep people invested.

Attrition on pc is definitely crowded, Pvp too I'd say as well. Other modes take some waiting is what I meant.

Only microtransaction stuff is Titan skins, Cosmetic skins, Call signs, and banners.
Everything else you either unlock by leveling or get a "loot crate" that will randomly give you a cosmetic unlockable (Titan skins, Cosmetic skins, Call signs, and banners) that isn't unlocked by leveling. These "loot crate" things are dropped by pretty much just playing and leveling the different faction characters or by doing 1v1 coliseum.

Most of the nonleveling unlockables aren't worth a bother as it's just literal camo of different variety, except for fish sticks- which is still kinda a camo. When you buy the game, you get the whole game.

Rented it on PS4, beat the campaign on Master (hardest difficulty) in a day.Boss fights were great, pilot stuff was good. Didn't touch multiplayer because fuck PS+. I'd say it's worth the $3 Redbox is charging.

I used a Horipad FPS plus which has a sniper mode (hold button to lower sensitivity) . That was useful for on-foot combat, but the Boss Titan fights are too intense for the precise aim. You'll be fine. If you get stuck give us a holler, my memories are fresh.

Monarch, like Northstar, is one of the titans that doesn't have a shield/defensive ability (barring the shield theft) so I'm not really worried. Overcore with the battery boost will be really strong on him though.
Started the campaign again to remember the feel of the XO rifle.

They said there will be big balance updates too, so maybe the G2 is finally getting nerfed. Northstar could use a bit of a rework too, she has like, 1 defensive option.

I have a feeling Northstar and Scorch are going to get buffed. I've incorporated reload canceling with his thermite launcher and it made me realize what a great buff would a faster reload or and additional round be to him.

Northstar is probably the weakest Titan next to Scorch just by being outclassed at the thing she's supposed to excel at. Sure her peekaboo mobility is nice and fully charged railgun crit shots hurt, but in the time it took to charge Ion snagged half your health with two pops of hitscan and is currently peppering you with her rifle. That and Ion's much better at gibbing pilots.

Forgot to mention that an Ion nerf is an alternative to buffing Northstar.

Yeah, trading hits with a good Ion is annoying. But I don't think Northstar is the weakest titan. She has obvious flaws that are annoying to compensate for since all you can effectively do is run/hover from it, but her kit compliments that so I don't find it difficult to do well as her.
Scorch is just awful on maps without close quarter combat.

Legion is probably one of the most easily bullied titans in the game. An Ion who is simply aware that they have a shield ability is gonna fuck over any Legion.

True, a decent Ronin you never see coming. If you're a mile away from a Legion and there's cover Northstar wins, but in any other situation it's definitely fatboy's victory. At that point I expend all my resources, take one fully charged shot and eject.

Unrelated but I do hope Ogres get one base dash along with the dash kit removed.

She's my most used titan, and I do think she's strong but comparing her to the others (especially Ion), she's one of the weaker ones. I really can't see myself fitting anyone below her other than Scorch if we're considering tiers. Forgive the tier list faggotry though.

Also, I can say Northstar is better than Tone at this point. Unless I run into a Tone who already has their ultimate, I generally win most exchanges since I can just dash behind cover if I risk getting locked on. And the cluster rocket will generally fuck up their shield very well or go behind it.

I'd say that really depends. Like with Legion, long range is definitely in favour of Northstar as most people seem to suck at hitting 40mm at long range but mid range I'd say Tone has the upper hand. She can build meter super fast and her shield can fuck your meter build to shit all the while dealing more consistent damage. And that shield is so tall goddammit. I still think Tone is one of the better titans, right under Ion. Most of her kits complement her really well.

I also noticed that BT has two base dashes in the campaign which makes me wonder if Monarch will as well. He is a vanguard class after all.

I think it was the whole marketing that turned me off. After seeing some videos of it later, it seems neat but I decided against it because of lolxbone and the fact that it suffered from the halo syndrome where there is more online bullshit than single player content. The campaign is solid and does some really creative things, but the meat of the game is definitely in the multiplayer. Honestly, both are really refreshing though, but I wouldn't spend money just to play the singleplayer.

It's on all the big platforms, so it's really worth checking out. You get the tutorial/ speedrunning gauntlet and a free mission for free, so you can see if it appeals to you.

I am upset that most games lack splitscreen modes these days, but even then it was generally deathmatch and such, not many games had a nice horde mode or anything that could be done fully offline with friends. They're adding wave defense to TF too, so that's gonna be fun with friends coop.

It's not bad at all, if you're used to gamepad controls. I say this as someone who beat Metal Gear Rising on M&K and a pad, buttons can do some nice quick inputs.

Monarch really only has potential to be a threat. The deal breaker is her upgrade core. If she can get two cores, and that final core is the upgraded chasis which supposedly fully heals her and extends her health bar even beyond the ogre class titan. That in lts is hands down broken, a single monarch could pop that and only loose if things go catastrophically bad.

She has no defensive but I think a better option would be the ability to cancel her vtol hover.

Slide hopping is this games pseudo bunny hop. The first few frames of the slide animation dont slow you down so chaining them together and throw in wall runs and you go pretty fast. Also yes, ion is easy mode titan. Legion is a better starting place, tone now is a little less effective but is easy to play, and scorch is your goal as he is the most difficult titan to play.

People may give you shit (myself included) but play what you like and want. Ion is the game's Ryu.

Slide hopping is kind of like bunny hopping. The basics are:

- slide for a speed boost
- when you've reached the peak speed, hop
- hold crouch and as soon as you hit the ground jump again
- holding forward while doing it fucks with you, so as soon as you start let go of forward and only hop and turning left and right
- connect hopping with wallrunning (the less time spent of the wall the faster you'll go)
- there's also that source/quake engine quirk of speeding up your character while turning with your camera
- slide hopping can definitely reach higher speed with grapple and stim but other kits aren't necessarily slow

Check out some guides on youtube. You'll probably get a better explanation than mine.

Cool yeah I'm gonna stick with Ion until I'm not complete garbage anymore. Kinda fucked with my head that it's got a hitscan gun. Those big dumb slow fireballs feel like they should be projectiles.
