To be fair, minecraft has longevity in theory.
It has received continual content updates even if the content itself and the direction the game has been going has been shit for a long time.
While there is an end to minecraft no two playthough are necessarily identical even with the same seed there are some differences based on RNG which if you look at the speedrunning community as an example of extreme replayability, does create replayability.

The only people that still play minecraft are playing either because mods keep updating, or because of those hypixel party game servers, you know, the only reason mojang implemented command blocks and keep adding shit the command blocks can do.
I think a lot of modders are giving up on the latest versions of minecraft, and I can't blame them. Last I tried it, I got less than 30fps on average, had to restart the game every so often, and entities would lag so hard they would all freeze while I attacked nothing and then I would die instantly when they updated.

He could have taken the soul and gone out to the surface, but even children can kill every single monster in the underground and he would have been blown off the face of the Earth like Asriel. He couldn't tell his people nothing because telling your people they're fucked and never going to get out of prison would drive everyone mad, especially after the humans killed half of the royal family. He had nothing else to do but wait for humans to fall into the underground and take their souls. He had no other choice.
Alphys had a choice, she could have fessed up and dealt with the consequences, or she could have lied about everything, even to the fucking king just to save her ass. Guess what she chose to do?
And when things don't work out for her, she kills herself. You don't even get the chance to do it for her. Her suffering is minimal, she isn't forced into anything by anyone else other than herself, and the repercussions for her actions are what? Fired from the job she was never qualified to take in the first place.

Asgore would have been a physical god with the power of one human SOUL, just as Chara and Asriel were; it's just that Asriel stood there and refused to so much as lift a finger against the humans. Even Toriel called him out on it.

Asriel pretty much chose to do that on his own. He had the power to make himself a new body if he didn't set the human SOULs free after breaking the barrier. At least Burgerpants is still down there to keep him company (and maybe Chara's SOUL, I dunno).

But I agree Toby isn't that great a writer. A lot of the worldbuilding of Undertale was deliberately left full of holes. Some people find that mysterious and interesting (which it is, to some degree) but as a writer who attempted to fill some of those holes will find out, nothing really lines up. It's like an MC Escher painting looked at through a slice of swiss cheese. What you can see makes sense on its own, but the whole thing together is a convoluted illogical mess. It took me like a week to devise a system for the interaction between humans/monsters SOUL, essence, and body that actually makes fucking sense, and it still requires leaps of logic from the canon (particularly in the way the canon assumes a SOUL and essence are the same thing or otherwise always bound together, which can't possibly work).

Then again, that's partially the reason why there is so many fanworks. Same with FNAF, on a lesser scale. The shitter and more incomplete the writing, the more people will want to come up with their own stuff. Hardly anybody writes fanfiction of media with GOOD writing.

There isn't any way to exceed maximum human potential. It's just that most people never can access that potential, or even come close. Human naturally have limiters on how much of there muscles they can use at a time, for example, but in times of great need, they get a rush of adrenaline and can suddenly run as fast as an Olympic sprinter to escape harm, or lift up a car to free a trapped child. Such a change is caused by a subconscious process; being able to control it consciously would allow someone to temporarily greatly exceed their typical speed or strength (at the potential chance for serious injury), but it would never allow them to become stronger than a professional weightlifter.

Really, the more I reflect, the more I realize that I am not very smart. I don't come from a very smart family, and I probably have some level of autism. While a person with "high functioning" autism can take care of themselves, they're NEVER smarter than average people; they are just "high functioning" compared to those who are psychologically screaming infants. I can only attribute my only genius to simply being able to use my brain much more efficiently than the average person does. You barely have any friendly interaction with Mettaton. Except for Asgore (who is a special case) you have befriended all the characters you save. Mettaton would be much weirder in that position than Alphys, and there's no character that's not in there already with as much social interaction as Alphys.
And saving someone doesn't imply forgiving them. You save Asriel, but after that you can explicitly choose not to forgive him.
Doing the true pacifist route already implies that you think everyone is worth saving, whether you think everyone can be forgiven or not.

The point is that overworld sprites and battle sprites aren't properly scaled to each other, but they are to themselves, and Asriel's adult battle sprite isn't much bigger than that when he's a kid.

Asriel's the same size as Chara, who was described in narration as "a small child". Toriel and Asgore being huge is a misconception based upon the (likely incorrect) assumption that the monster in the opening storybook animation was Asgore and some autist crunching pixels assuming that Toriel's home is built to the same standard as modern human homes.

They would have to be literally a thousand years old, but they're younger than Gerson who only knows the Surface based upon the myths and legends and the Prophecy, so there's no way he was around back then (and since Gerson isn't a Boss Monster he would age normally, and normal monsters seem to have a lifespan similar to that of humans).
