6 months later and I can only recognize how desperately wrong I was, this fucking game has a meta that is changing by the fucking minute, hundreds of writeups each trying to claim the most accurate information on the current meta, calculators trying to maximize the numbers for grids, tier lists with extensive writeups on each character and why they are rated that way, this fucking game is a fulltime fucking job by itself

the hobo phase is the worst phase.

after you complete your first grid the rest will follow as you are able to reliably host and mvp your own raids, and eventually calling nips to your raid will take more time than just soloing it

Element doesn't seem to be in the equation when skill levelling. Just throw in your Rares before you hit your SRs. Also unless I'm remembering it wrong, keep your SR premium weapons for uncapping for a lot more materials from reducing them.

no. Gacha Rs and all SR weapons give skill levels. Nothing related to element or skill type. Here's the wiki on how skilling up works. Most notably, everything has a set value that adds to the need amount to skill up.

R weapon = 1
Fury Pebble = 2
SR weapon = 4
Fury stone = 4.8
SSR weapon = 40

There's some tricks to it too. An SSR weapon and 2 SR weapons = 48 points, but 2 SR weapons level an SSR from skill level 1 to 2. A level 2 SSR is worth double, so 80. Handy when leveling bahamut weapons

See if you can get a Zhuque seal so you can uncap the firememe katana, so the xp won't go to waste when you skill it up.

almost all 30 k pendants weapons are farily okay besides the gimmicky weapons unless you know what the fuck you are doing , nuggets are for the gold bar needed for gw cahracters and sr pendants is a chance for more sr cahracters and weapon stones

You shoudnt buy weapons that you get from free from collecting badges, the septian burner is a reward from collecting 100 fire battle badges. ROTB worthwhile items are the gold nuggets, 4 main weapons , the fire harp if you want to play fire Elysian or fire SS, enough seals for a statue or 2 if you want to join a train for a qilin/huanglong weapon, SR weapon tickets for stones, the pots/berries and the champion merits. the baihu fangstaff and and xuanwu shellfist require a specific setup to be worthwhile so they are less important than the other rotb stuff.

I'm happy to have gotten an SSR at all.

Before Magnafest, I was neglecting my earth grid, even though it was my most developed in terms of how uncapped it is.

Do you play earth off element? if you are on element you should replace that staff with the seraphic weapon, even the SR lv 75 uriel fist will be an upgrade over that magna staff.

Due to work restraints I farmed a lot less, managed to get the 800 crystals yesterday, still, got everything I wanted.
It's just gonna be seals and gold for the next ones so I can prepare to join a train sometime and get the weapon skills once my grids are up to par.

at best you can try extreme xeno ifrit with your water team if you struggle a lot might as well give up

They changed some stuff for Xeno Ifrit. The Vajras can now drop from raids just like with Xeno Vohu. If you're really not that confident, you can try farming Ifrit items from co-op so you can host raids constantly.

From memory the first tier of xeno ifrit was a bit easier than maniac ifrit, so you may be able to farm an axe.

I worked on my water grid this magnafest. I don't have a before shot, but I feel much more prepared for xeno ifrit now.

So the gacha weapons/character weapons are the ones I should be reducing and not be using as skill fodder correct? in that case should I even bother raising the skill of gacha SSR weapons as I may need to reduce them at a later date when I get a fully functional grid?

some gacha weapons are worth keeping and even using your chocobars on.
But any skill upgrade you do on them is wasted when they are reduced, yes.
Gacha weapons (and casino ones) are worth x10 when reduced compared to event and magna ones, same with summons.

You could use the SR gacha weapons now if you feel like it, but reducing them will be helping out future you when you end up needing those materials. As for the SSR gacha weapons, you can raise their skill levels if you intend to use them until you feel ready to replace them with magna equivalents. Remember you can also use SSRs for more convenient skill raising of bahamut weapons. Non gacha SSR's aren't common either way, so you might feel pressed to use them for that. Ultimately, the most optimal usage of them is to reduce them for highest material rewards and just hope you get enough non-gacha SSRs for skill fodder.

I only raise their levels to get some power from them. Once I get manga weapons, some will be reduced and others will be fed to Baha weapons.

Some of the fun stickers aren't set to be selectable by default. You can move around your sticker pool in the gameplay settings menu.

There's also promo stickers like the Valentine Djeeta & others that you have to buy with real money as part of a package.

Why are secondary back ups a thing? They just get in the way when you join a raid

Yes, under Settings > Gameplay Settings. Make sure to press save settings.
You can even do it in the raid if you forgot to turn off before hosting.

You can toggle so that they don't show up for you unless you press the request backup at the bottom of the screen and there's another option you can toggle so that other people can't ask for backup in your raids.

Thankfully after I finish running Angel Halo a couple more dozen times I won't have to run another one unless for some dumb reason I decide to make seven eternals.

Just unlocked the Drum Master Class.The guaranteed triple attack sounds nice, but it does less damage than if you got it randomly.

I also unlocked it, I think it's really more support since you use your charge bar to boost other party, and guaranteed triple base attack would make it too OP most probably.

I still have to level up the class.

It's main usefulness, right now, seem to be in water teams or during strike time. There's also some niche earth teams that can use it. The main rotation seems to be: full team ougi>50% charge thanks to passive>2nd and 3rd skill> Ougi within 5 turns.
Sadly, CY seems to have forgotten their statement that they would make Overchains do something. Getting 5+ougis does nothing for Fervor or the charge gain, even though one of the main SOIYA members has a 200% charge limit.
With ougi skip on the horizon, they might be trying to make ougis better overall.

Yeah, just upgrade it step by step and you'll be fine. Refer to the wiki when you're lost on where to farm whatever you need.

You also probably won't be able to rush it out before xeno ifrit, so just take your time.

It looks convoluted because it is, but basically it goes like this:
1. MLB and level up the weapon
2. Use a bunch of light stuff and champion merits
3. With the weapon at skill level 10, a relic made with a rusted weapon and some low level materials and 3 true animas, change the element of the weapon
4. Once in a lifetime get Sierokike some random shit, learn that Shiva makes Mithra less painful
5. THE REAL GRINDBLUE BEGINS HERE
6. SUFFER LIKE G DID
7. Do you regret it yet?

Lyria is more like a little sister anyways. The flirty dialogue they add for the extra characters leaves a lot for the player to imagine. I mean who knows what MC does in the after hours. That's why the anime is shit. It shits on Djeeta fans and waifu fags by trying to set things a certain way.

waifufags and djeeta fans should treat the anime as the same as they do with the manga/light novel, the anime shouldn't be taken as "canon" over the the source material the game. The anime removed the tidbit about orgin of colossus and how the astrals enslaved the draphs. And now we're having both Mary and Karva appear at the same time as well. Honestly the anime should be treated as it's own continually like the ongoing light novel.

Plenty of characters have the hots for MC, or get along so well that Lyria gets angry/pushy. They don't want to push it too hard since they want it to be obscure and unknown so that in effect the MC can be played off as interested in any or all of them without stepping on anybody.

I thought it was because they're baiting the otakus with self insert and a ship load of 2-D.
