Earthbound sucked and I can agree it's heavily nostalgia-wank as far as most peoples' attachment to it, though there was nothing like it at the time as far as story and presentation. Mother 3 though you shut your whore mouth, that one's the best of the whole series.

Minecraft was shittily programmed but it's almost too easy to port it to every console on the market so we're gonna be seeing these ports for at least a few more years.
Even the console versions allow for mods though, right? I honestly don't know but I can't imagine there's still a market willing to pay for Minecraft Vanilla.
