What kinds of products would not be produced under communism? I know a Ferrari is out of the question, but what about consumer goods?

Let's put it this way, under communism, would something like an onahole exist? What about all the other weaboo shit?

Consumer goods are a huge reason for the failure of the USSR/etc. In democratic socialism/communism the needs of the people should be the guiding force of the state. So yes.

Sounds weird to think about. There will be a comittee for providing sex toys and anime.

One of the key tenants of capitalism is demand=supply, i believe, somewhat, that would be applicable in a communist society. Why waste a workers effort making niche products when there is a need for bread.

There's a limit to how much bread you need comrade, have you heard of mechanised agriculture? It's this great new invention.

Hey sounds like a fun job. You could simplify these things a lot, see how many people put in a request for onaholes and start making them, then you can match supply with demand directly.

people will create those things themselves. All training material will be free, all physical material for "creative" work should be accessible, too.

Being a bureaucrat just got a hell of a lot more fun.

Why do you do this to me I already know I don't want to google this.

And it's…..yeah.

Why is this shit always the first thing that comes to mind whenever you guys think of utopia, but hey whatever floats your boat and whatever tickles your pickles, so I'll answer that with an affirmative.

spoiler that shit, this is sfw board

Marx isn't SFW.

Because heaven without weeb shit isn't heaven at all.

Because communism isn't going to cure my crippling social anxiety and I wouldn't want the revolution to lower my quality of masturbation.

nicely played. I don't have reaction pic good enough, have this instead.

Because people will still want to have fun after the revolution?

Filthy bourgeois sexual deviancy will be purged from society after the revolution.

wouldn't be creating those things yourself more fun?

In my ideal society, provision of all essential goods (housing, electricity, food, clothing) is mandatory for everyone, and should not take longer than 2-3 hours a day (cause automation and shit). Production of luxury goods can be done in one's spare time.

wtf i hate research and development now
wtf im anarcho-primitive now

No? Why would I want to go through all the work and effort of personally making things I could easily receive from a machine without any effort at all? Primitivists seriously need to get the fuck out.

There's no need to create everything yourself in modern society, that's why it's a specialised economy. I will never be able to build a graphics card on my own, I could probably make onaholes pretty good if it was a hobby my whole life but I don't just want to do one thing. It would make more sense to train to do one thing really good and then make those, while other people make things that they're good at making, and then… hey, now we're back at central planning!

Once we develop cloning a bit more, we won't need real sex anyway.

...

I'm betting on virtual reality.

...

50 types of aftershave…
600 brands of chips…
competing PC hardwers…

That would be disgusting. You don't do that to people. And if you make your clones less than human, all you would be engaging in, is sophisticated bestiality. Rather you get plugged into the VR.

I think this is overreaction. Stuff which is not helping society and can be easily created shouldn't be packed as consumer good. This is just capitalists over consumption. You'll have much more free so useless stuff like this should not be big problem to create.

much more free time

Apple products and xbox and sonygger shit. There's no way those things will be produced when Nintendo's Mario is clearly a red revolutionary.

But there is no reason to. We have machines to do this for us. They'll only get more efficient and more automated in the future. Why create anything ourselves except as a hobby?

If your idea of paradise is automatons eternally creating, count me out. I only wish to consume.

highly automatized production doesn't mean we shouldn't start use resources much more wisely.

didn't want to sage

This

It'll cause the workers to not work and that's unacceptable.

Looks like we'll need a second revolution right after the first one to establish true liberty.

Imagine all the cash that had ever gone into rich people driving around in sports cars had been used on public transport instead

I don't get why you expect people to make their own fleshlights, that makes no sense. If they have access to some machine that can just make them to your design with no skill needed then fine you can do that with anything but those don't exist. Factory production is efficient if we put aside the inefficiencies of the market.

not really though? Sure, it would be more of a hobby thing but those supercar manufacturers came out of racecars being mostly a hobby thing and then them wanting racecars to drive around at home too.
if the revolution takes away my shitbox sportscars then it is unjust tbh

This would be extremely inefficient, though. Making "luxury goods," often require so many different forms of labor and craftsmanship that no person could reasonably be expected to make them by themselves (ie mining ore and bringing that all the way through production to electronics).

A Ferrari or exotic sports car still would. The planned obsolescence in it wouldn't.

Also Ferraris would be even more beautiful since they wouldn't be limited to appealing to the tastes of porky

consumption is mostly a substitute for community in capitalist society. people form fashionable cliques in order to belong, and they purchase the fashions and media associated with that clique. this is where fandoms and subcultures emerge from. under communism, there would be no intellectual property and no pressure to consume. if people want to consume such media, they will produce and share it among themselves using their leisure hours. in some respects this habit is already emerging: look at open source software projects, independent musicians, developers and so on. more widespread communal feeling might also limit the extent to which people become involved in fandoms and subcultures, further lowering the need for consumer goods. an object like a ferrari is valued because of the status it confers. possession of a ferrari becomes meaningless under communism. people would be more likely to devote themselves to intellectual inquiry, creativity or cultivating themselves physically if they wish to gain the respect of others.

Tabletop wargamming should be banned under any leftist regime. Nothing wrong with it but like half the community is Wehraboos or just outright Neo-Nazis.

Under communism everyone will drive a ferrari

What if you're a Wehraboo and a communist

Nigger if you ban tabletop gaming just because the community has an abundance of Neo-Nazis/Wehraboos I will literally start a second revolution

The guys at the forefront of shit like sex bots are always weirdoes living in the mountains of West Virginia or Utah. Communism will give them more time to work on their niche nonsense and help them build your robot waifu sooner.

We need more socialist/communist games in general. I want to lead a fucking revolution goddammit.

literally kill yourself

DVDs/CDs.
Torrents and reusable flash drives are a far better way to transfer data. The only reason optical disks are popular is because they're a good way of packaging data for sale in shops.

Also we wouldn't see anywhere near as many disposable products or ones designed to fail as soon as the warranty runs out. Things would be designed to last decades.

Oh look, it's one of those polyps that lies about Holla Forums to prevent conversions. They're everywhere and nothing of note, in past times you'd find them in youtube comments sections having deep debates about different colors.

Fuck sorry guys wrong thread.

Will chevys be banned under communism?

Well fuck now you've made me do it.

A friend of mine used to work in a fiberglass factory in the US that was still using machines from the DDR

Truly the greatest country in the history of the world. The DDR.
