I dunno, I stopped watching the series, but i know that 10 was cringey sjw, childrens show shit, and the episodes of 11 i saw were alot like the old series (4th doctor, specifically), but with some effective horror to balance the camp.

I would definitely recommend asking twenty or so different protesters (obviously not ones part of the same group) to see what they are protesting against. It was pretty average as a movie, but in the original robocop though, he was 90% robot, 10% human in terms of how he acted. In the reboot, he was still very much human. Kind of seems like they missed the point in some regard.
