Wait, what's the difference between the first two?
The other characters trade Health and Shields for more movespeed, but the second character loses both Health and Shields for no extra speed while the first character even has 2 passive abilities instead of just 1. What gives?
Okay, your OP was clearly a joke and some advanced form of autism sarcasm. But now you're posting changelogs? Now you're trolling yourself.
Regardless, the game doesn't seem like it'd appeal to Quakefags, they aren't willing to try anything new anyway or any of it's many remakes would be more successful than it actually is, and those are all much closer to Quake than Quake Champions seems to be.
The Abilities doesn't seem that much as Overwatch, but rather Adrenaline Combos and Species Statistics from Unreal Tournament.
It's still retarded either way, Overwatch gives you Ults based on how well you are doing, not just time, and UT gives you adrenaline based on kills, sprees and map control. If Quake Champions abilities are just placed on a long cooldown you can't do anything with, it's the most boring shit ever.
I've also noticed from that gameplay video that there doesn't seem to be that many weapons and that doesn't even matter when every match is reduced to Rocket Launcher and Railgun anyway. Were there even alternate fire-modes? Didn't saw any…
I also get the idea of characters, you want to give the choice of different playstyles so the players can tweak how they play better, picking faster but weaker characters if they think they can get away with it or stronger and slower characters if they just want to bully people.
This will not work.
You either make the differences very small to the point that this isn't a point you should base the gameplay around (again, Species Statistics for UT) or balancing becomes a nightmare to deal with, as some user has already said about recking some Light Armor team. This only works and makes sense in team-based shooters where a character can be sub-par in combat but still be playable since he can support his team in some way, but if your game is strictly deathmatch, than only heroes suited for that role will prevail and anything that deviates from the optimal stats is retarded.
You might as well play Overwatch and enjoy cute waifus and more variety in combat, try Paladins from Hi-Rez since it's free anyway or some other alternative.
As it stands, Quake Champions looks like the try-hard alternative, for people that want to pay for a game that they believe will make them look superior than everyone else because it has Quake in it's name.
