I have the first 3 floors committed to memory

Noice lad

Always really liked this game. Not the best in any way, but it has nice music, nice character moments and pretty alright game play. The beachfront setting felt like a fantasy interpretation of what mega man legends was doing.

Tail Concerto was also pretty fun, similar in the adventurous qualities.

I was never allowed much in the way of games growing up, but either the original PS1 Spyro Trilogy or Pokemon Emerald, which I did actually get to play.

I'm glad to now have plenty of great classics to still playthrough for the first time given the state of things these days, but if there's one unfortunate side effect (aside from fucking scalpers being all over particular games/systems), it's lack of demand for much discussion on them at this point.

You get to play an evil princess hell-bent on acquiring the magical macguffin to take over the world. When the male protagonist nobly takes a blow meant for you, you steal his wallet after he passes out from the damage.

Mint is one of the best protagonists in any game I have ever played. She's sneaky, underhanded, manipulative, childish, petty and an all-around complete twat while managing to be completely likable.

I'll flood the thread if I post them all.

Reminds me of what someone said a while back about Steambot Chronicles, where you can apparently charge the main girl money to get you to actually fight the final boss, and then if she doesn't cough up the funds, you can force an IOU on her.

I was that kid who played on PC.

come on man

...

the character moments are what makes it great. Mint's story line is hilarious and it's one of the few games with comedy in it that has ever made me laugh. I hope a second game gets made eventually.

Man why did the fan one have to die? They did pretty good with it.

They're still going strong, user.

ION CANNON BEACON DEPLOYED

I had what I could get back then, mate. 5.25" floppies, later CDs. All bootleg, of course. Glorious ex-soviet shithole.
I considered just listing the stuff I miss and struggle to remember the names of normally and might just replay in the nearest future, but it would be fuckhueg.

...

probably my favorite game from back in the day. It had its problems, but I always thought it was the best damn thing ever as a kid

Mint is an irreverent parody of jRPG tropes. You can bypass a bossfight against a handsome noble fighter type by pretending to be an innocent and naive girl and promising not to cause any more trouble, and then immediately afterwards skip a fetch quest by threatening to burn down someone's house if they don't hand over what you want.

also there's nowhere enough porn of her

fuck.
these people are old enough to vote.

...

I remember hassling my Dad to change my name to Duke Nukem after playing Zero Hour. That game had some of the funest splitscreen multiplayer (although Red Dead Revolver was close), the ice skating level was a favourite

...

for the better, mint shouldn't be in porn.

I thought that was someone else at first.

my fucking nigger

I loved Ace combat 5. Chopper is the only time I really felt bad about a character dying

Ez

I was a poorfag.

Worse, you were a slav.

Trips lie, Europoor though.

Then I got a little older and thought Spider-Man had the best graphics of all time.

Which country? All signs point to Slav or at the very least Eastern European.

Fine, I'll just list some games I've been reminded of after a very brief searching binge:
Abuse, Alien Carnage, Alien Trilogy, Another World, Black Thorne, Blues Brothers, Cannon Fodder, Desert Strike and Jungle Strike, DOOM, Double Dragons 3, Dyna Blaster, Electroman (for some reason remember it as "Electrobody"), Flashback, Golden Axe, Heretic, Hexen, Karateka, Mortal Kombats, Operation Wolf, Rise of the Triad, Scorched Earth, Shadow Knights, SW Dark Forces, Wolf3D, Worms, Xenon 2.

I've been considering playing Another World again for several years now, but I'm afraid I'll have to replace my keyboard due to spacebar getting wrecked by the end of it. Same reason Xenon 2 sits untouched on the game drive for about five years now.
Started Desert Strike recently tho. And DOOM, Hexen and Heretic directories will definitely outlive me. Source ports are a godsend.

Italy. Tzar is a Bulgarian game, but it was also popular here (as popular as a second-rate Eastern Bloc RTS could have been in the 2000s) and in Spain (we even got an expanded version). Serious Sam is Croatian, but Croatia is Italian clay after all. Solaris is hue I think, and I don't know about the others.

Hey, not everyone who played Drakan have died out yet. Shame it doesn't work even on the laptop with XP.. I should probably look into building some kind of PIII with a TNT2 for old-ish Windows games.

Remembering Supaplex yesterday made me also almost remember another game where a guy runs around solving puzzles of some kind. It involved floppies scattered around the level as well, which is how I half-remembered about it. There were also some kinds of explosives, moving enemies and that's pretty much it.
Crimsonland is criminally underappreciated.

Recently got the urge again and done the Harkonnen campaign about a year ago. Still can't figure out how the game was hard for me back when it was new.

Well howdily-doodly there, makaronar!

This?

Super mario bros 3, megaman 3, and rescue rangers. I wish I had castlevania back then, but oh well.

From early to mid childhood

anybody else play Terracide? Took me forever to find the name of it.

fun fact: in the dos era our pc's sound card didn't play music, so hearing the soundtracks now feels weird.

almost all of the kids in the class i teach play minecraft. it's insane how many kids play that shit

why did microsoft have to drop support for safedisk :(

...

I miss arcades so much.

The system is fucking 17 years old user. Kids born the same year it came out are driving.

...

These ones.

This was my very first game, I was three years old and loved dinosaurs, so my mom got this and installed it onto the computer. It took me years to beat, played it again a couple years back and I beat it in an afternoon. Which tells me I was a massive scrub.

I don't know why people hate RE3 that much. RE2 advertised itself as a game where you survive in a zombie filled city while it was only the case in RE3.

I still play some of these games to this day

To this day I still don't know if there was a certain tactic or trick you needed to employ to win at that game

mah niggas

Now you've made me want to go back and replay Emperor. Harkonnen had the best OST of all 3 factions.

When I was a kid I had the shareware version that I downloaded from AOL Games. I was too young to really be any good at it, but I think winning was just a matter of having a well balanced team. The gameplay itself wasn't really deep enough to allow for any specific tactics.

But how many soldiers did you need? What stats to get? It was these things that left me stumped.

You're forgiven for liking it as a child but still liking it now is fucking shameful.

That ace combat game came out in 2004, that was 13 years ago anons. I was 9 when that game came out I'm 21 now.

Spider-Man game's represent.

I remember when Chopper died. I couldn't believe it. I went to bed teary-eyed, thinking, "they've not just killed him, he'll come back in the third act, the Yukes'll have kept him in a POW camp or something."

But no. Motherfucker was dead as shit. Do not pass go, do not collect two hundred pounds.

Gauntlet Legends and Perfect Dark for n64

simant, battle chess, and some dos game called warpath

I used to clear out a room of bad guys with my brother in Double Dragon and then we would start fighting each other because we didn't have anything like Street Fighter II yet. Good times.

Pokemon Sapphire is the game I liked playing most in my childhood and I spent so many hours on it and restarted it over and over again to get the best tech machines again and again.

any snes disney game
