thinly veiled excuse to ask if anyone has the one jazz ost from a game that appears similar to ace attorney but instead is often shown in black and white with a character that looks like DMC4 Dante but a little older and sad
People who say jazz is for niggers can fuck off. Blacks played a role, no doubt, but they used foundations from European musical composition. And later, metal musicians took influences from jazz and made the second whitest genre of music that exists, second only to classical. If you can't appreciate good jazz, then too bad. Listen to this track and tell me you can't appreciate it, if you can.
I love this first one, it sounds like something out of 90's anime.
What games make you feel as if you were playing a 90's anime? The only one I can think of is ActRaiser, and that doesn't even have characters and achieves that by it's style alone

Also, let's admit, Jazz, Swing and Electro Swing are the three best music genres

Try Odallus : the Dark Call
Camden Edwards
Electro Swing is neither good electro nor good swing, It's a poorly done mishmash at best.

At least you're self-aware. Seriously though, It's not even new as a concept, many jazz musicians were already experimenting with electronic sounds during the advent of analogue synthesizers.
Due to how the Halo games have dynamic music systems, each track is actually 3 parts of seperate dyanmic tracks that are just packaged together, the actual jazz segment as a result doesn't actually start till 3:05 or so here, though the first 2-3 minutes are still super good
no problem user
Isaiah Long
As with that track, the jazz "mini track' doesn't start till around 5 minutes in here

ODST was extremely underrated. I was gonna say it was the definition of underrated, but there are better games lower rated. It's fair to say though that ODST is underrated by HALO fans.
Benjamin Richardson
It's not really underrated, people are just either Halo 3 babies and think everything after 3 is shit or people are mad that it was overpriced. Anybody who i've spoken to who has actually played it and whenasked to just judge it on it's own merits has loved it.

Thats pretty funny, halo babies talking trash of slightly younger Halo babies. Halo was incredibly overrated since the very first game, it's definitely the most overrated FPS ever.
Tyler Ramirez
user, if somebody was 12 when Halo CE came out, they'd be 26 now.
Anyways I don't wanna start an arguement and shit up the thread past that since this is for posting music
This is just a pretty jazzy soundtrack all around.

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, since I don't know of any in the style of Sun Ra or Pharaoh Sanders, but I do know a majority of Mario Kart 8's tracks are upbeat jazz (more like big band tbh) and incorporate electric guitars in a lot of their tracks.

You and everyone else in this thread are henceforth my niggas.
