I've gotten into the server a couple of times but i get a crash / lock if I so much as turn my camera.
Played offline to see if maybe I was getting a memory leak with the community page add-ons but everything seemed to be in order. Server is eating my memory with this player model shit I think.

It has nothing to do with sweeping the software on a client's computer because that would be incredibly ineffectual.

The fact is that outfitter allows for much quicker switching out using of playermodels then forcing the admins to see what every person wants and constantly restart the serb to apply them.

there is no memory leak. you're just crashing because your game is trying to load every single outfitter model on the server at once. you can either turn it off or configure the addon to NOT download everything at once. outfitter doesnt even cause any significant lag that would be pac

I can't remember PlayX being set up in almost an entire week, and when it is, it's usually when the playercount is really low, or the server has been tired out because it's late.

it's technically a gmod gamemode, but it's basically its own game with structured matches, strategies, meta, and so on. It also heavily encourages teamwork which I think would turn out hilariously for us.

I've loved this gamemode for years, but all the big/active servers have their own custom cancer on them. A comfy Holla Forums server with dedicated players could really be fun.

Metro runs perfectly fine even with 80 npcs out and about. The only reason it would be lagging is if players are doing dumb shit like filling the map with unfrozen props and lamps. Marsh and Cordon both have a tendency to lag all on their own though. This happens on all the other non-STALKER maps as well.

The current server as of right now is a STALKER/Metro RP server with STALKER NPCs, most of the time we are ether building up a base to keep out the mutants, shops so people can start businesses or hunting NPCs
PlayX barely gets used with the exception of when there is 3 or 4 people still on the server around the time it's usually dead we will sometimes put one up to watch some shit, fucking sue us, it's also tied to a job and cost money to spawn now
There is, as of now, no anime models on the server and most likely will never be any on the server thanks to PAC and Outfitter, and before you say something stupid like "Then remove PAC and Outfitter!!11!!" all have have to say is how about no, some of the players use them for things not related to anime and instead of ruining their fun because some fags on a mongolian imageboard are triggered by chinese cartoon characters we'll keep it on so everyone can use whatever fucking playermodel they want to without having to add them to the server, If they trigger you so fucking much you have to sperg out in the threads about you can just turn them off
Currently there is a poll to change gamemods here it's kind of a shit poll right now since people keep asking for a dead gamemode framework that no longer works in gmod 13 nor is needed since gmod has it built in but I'm not admin so I'll leave that up to them to figure out

Hey lads, I'm working on a Trump RP map, set in 2024 in a bordertown where trump is running for a third term.

I'm using some simple modeling to make signs and random models to make the map look decent, like the 3D trump tower text, Mcdonald's sign, and the Gamergate pizza place's sign.

Basically, you spawn in mexico, and the only way in to the city part of the map is an immigration department. Mexico might have some shit shacks and an isis cave. Not sure what else to add other than some cactuses I could model down the line.

Any ideas as to what I should add?

The basement of comet pizza should have a creepy human trafficking/sex dungeon like feel to it.

At very least i could use this to make offensive crap to shitpost with.

An abandoned grocery store converted into a vaporwave sanctuary

add a long winding tunnel from the mexican side that abruptly ends against the unblemished pure white foundation of the wall.
make the police station the local ICE headquarters. Add a clothing store that sells exclusively trump merch (trump belt has lasted me longer than any of the other trash out there)

You should make the wall look as foreboding as possible on the Mexican side while looking pristine and nice on the American side. The Mexican side should be littered with trash and some American propaganda. Only make the main roads on the Mexican side paved, everywhere else should be dirt or grass. I've actually gone to a border town, Twice.

Do basically what this guy says as well. American side should have space and a upper-class feel while having the Mexico side be cramped.

Maybe add underground tunnels that run under the wall. You could make it into a maze and add traps at dead ends.
Also on the mexican side make drug dens all over the place.
