ITT games with unexpected/obscurish and good multiplayer.

It didn't work, and required Cuckstar Social Club DRM. Fuck off.

It worked for me and my friends and the guns in Max Payne 3 were good, the only bad thing was leveling up to unlock shit with in-game money on top of that, regardless of the neglected DRM it was still fun as fuck.

Kane and Lynch would make a kickass movie or short TV series

I heard that the second one was a buggy piece of shit and the first was mediocre regular trash or maybe that was just the normalfags plebeian plebiscite tastes again. I remember playing the demo of the first game around a decade back though and it seemed quite cool, but I remember I would rather have had a new hitman game instead and being angry about that.

What was so good about the multi? Was it basically just payday but in third person?

Fucking trash
7th Gen kiddies need to be gassed.
Never played a good game in their fucking lives unless they're heavily marketed by Ubicucks of all companies.

Nothing, OP just likes garbage
S.T.AL.K.E.R and TLoU multi are fucking sewage.

My nigga.

user you can't play DRM :-DDDDD.

Kane & Lynch was average but the gameplay was alright and the characters & story were top-notch, multiplayer was doing heists but one member could be a traitor and get away with all the money so you had to be wary on who it was, it was good-ass shit.

Kane and Lynch was a mediocre third person shooter, but it was made around co-op, had a lot of variety in setting and was heavily inspired by crime movies (most notably Heat). I enjoyed it for the story even, although the gameplay wasn't perfect.

Multiplayer had mode in which you robbed a bank, but could turn on your team at any time, killing them and taking their cut. Killed teammates were respawned as cops and tried to take revenge. It was a clustefuck, but it was fun.

I just remembered pic related. Its multiplayer, both competitive and co-op, was leagues better than the single player and was supported for quite a while with both free weapons and modes. Genuinely enjoyed it quite a bit, though I recall Poseidon-aligned characters being overpowered as fuck.

A lot of it is based on other movies, so you could just watch those.
There were talks of a movie with Bruce Willis as Kane and Jamie Fox as Lynch, but even if it was made I wouldn't go see it. Hitman movie adaptations taught me a lesson.

You mean Brotherhood? 2 Didn't have multiplayer. It's just The Ship with parkour anyways, nothing too special.

The real problem in MP3, besides the fact that forcing DLC maps into the general playlist completely killed the multiplayer, was that you didn't even need anything but the dual starter pistols with to own everything. Because of the way the shooting mechanics worked using any 2 handed weapons besides the sniper rifles was like gimping yourself since your speed and maneuverability was slower. I would use a assault rifle or a shotgun and lose to duel wielders more often than not despite getting the first shot in many engagements. Fuck once I was in one match where a do had like 50kills on the second place guy doing nothing but running laps around the stage with the duel pistols. After that I stopped being a good goy, quit the ARs and got the duel pistols and I was owning dudes left and right, shit was unbalanced as fuck.

Maps could be voted on and the people who still play that game know their research so they usually ask if anyone doesn't have DLC so they pick base maps, but I agree pistols were fucking bullshit but I forgot about it but it wasn't as horrible as you make it out to be. If the game got refined and didn't have DRM it would've been on par with MGO 2, and speaking of MGO 2 is the PC fan remake still in development or did they scrap it.

This game is just MP3 multiplayer but better.

It's a shittier version of The Specialists.

While still being a better version of MP3's multiplayer.

...

I played it in 2014 pre-Steam and Steam version then a year later and nothing changed, there's also a lack of modes.

...

That shit was great, it was just a shame that it never caught on and that it would be laggy at times.

That actually sounds fun, it makes me wish more games were just straight up clusterfucks instead of trying to be balanced for esports shit that dies out in a week.

Playing the same thing over and over gets boring after a while, not everyone has ADHD but if you like it more power to you it's not a bad game just a subpar one.

Sega ported Bayonetta to PC, who knows what else they might port. Also what's your idea for a good multiplayer game, I'm not saying that you're not allowed to bitch if you don't have an idea but a lot of the games in this thread are about games that took creativity and they weren't very big because of it.

...

...

Correct me if I'm wrong and I don't care if I sound stupid but wouldn't someone with ADHD be distracted by a multitude of options hopping from each one of them or being overwhelmed which is why they prefer being limited in choices.

Wasn't it just a Power Stone rip-off?

Your original statement implied that Double Action was for people with ADHD. I dont know what you're trying to say now.

Someone with ADHD like Valve/Source games because of their lack of variety and shit-easy control which lets them focus more, ADHD doesn't impede concentration it impedes focus.

...

Not an argument.

I don't know if it was actually ever any good but I remember unexpectedly playing the shit out of Quantum of Solace MP for like 2 solid months.

Not sure, I've heard of Power Stone but don't know anything about it beyond the name.

You know, Ubisoft could easily pull off a standalone AssCreed multiplayer game and it would be much more successful than shit like For Honor.

It was basically the Dreamcast's Smash, it had the same camera angle and played pretty much exactly like it. Still it was pretty fun though, I remember playing the Beta version of it and it's not like many people played Power Stone anyways.

I dont know, I'm just sort of tired of games where people only play on shit like standard Team Deathmatch or games that try to appeal to esports. I guess something like Battlefield 2 or Titanfall 2 is more of my current fix in terms of fun gamemodes.

Are you fucking retarded or just a poser? It played nothing like Smash, it was in 3D and often took an isometric view of the playing field. I don't see how you could even conflate the two. Both Power Stone 1 and 2 were in 3D and didn't have anything close to the "same camera angle".

You just got exposed as a fraud who never actually played the games, so suck my ass nerd.

A multiplayer game I'd like to see is an RTS implemented in first-person where you have your combat troops who's purpose is to fight and capture points for resources, external support, and the big bomb to wipe out the enemy's base. Then there are the engineers who build structures such as vehicle factories, sonar, silos, etc. and the only weapon they get is an SMG or PDW. Lastly there is the commander who can go fight on the battlefield which deters suppression and ups accuracy but if you want things like you get in BF2142 you need to stay in HQ and order it from there.

Basically Renegade X but not dead and a depressing reminder of C&C.

My thoughts exactly.

How about local multiplayer?

Plebs, the lot of you.
