Capitalism and communism are the same thing, the only true path is enlightened shitposting.

Hold on a second. I heard philosophy authors mentioned around this game several times, does it straight up go philosophy major on you ? Drakengard didn't have bullshit of the sort.

Im half way through path C, and so far, it does not

No, it's mentioned because Pascal is a faggot who reads philosophy books and one quest involves delivering a book to him.
There's also the fact that all of the Goliath class enemies are named after philosopher's though. You can punch Marx in the face.

Well Kierkegaard was probably named after the Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard.

All bosses in Nier were named after Philosopher's. He technically counts as one, kind of sorta.

I'm just here to spoil the game for myself. Don't mind me folks!

What?

still no money to buy game
still no crack to play game.
no job to make money

should probably just kill yourself

Sell your body fam, or become nigger and sell beer and cigs to minors.

I need to see the switch become wii u 2.0 first

You deserve everything you (don't) get.

I can buy the game, but I have an SSD and denuvo is a no go for me.

Denuvo doesn't do that, I had 3 separate sources confirm that, there's plenty of shit wrong with Denuvo but not SSD damage.

Well, it's still bloatware.

Wasn't LOTF itself shitting on SSDs rather than denuvo that came with it?

>All the sudden you accept help and you get all those people helping you and it plays that final version of Weight of the World.
That was executed absolutely beautifully. I'm actually stunned. Even better is the fact its something that really can only be done through video games. Huh.

You know a game is good when people talk more about the story than how much they want to bone the characters.

Pascal read Nichtze and mentioned a line from it but that's about it.

And it's still not as good as Nier or Drakengard.
Platinum gameplay is what made people suddenly care about Taro's insane writings. Automata is very secondary to his older games both story-wise and meta-wise.

Well you see the problem is even if the writing is worse, games still need to be games user. And Yoko sucks pretty bad at the gameplay part of it.

That's true.

The story was probably smaller on this because it was relatively low budget, and all the budget was spent on Platinum making the game fun. In the future, if Yoko gets more money thrown at him, we could have a much larger game with some nice gameplay. Maybe.

Well he said that he wants to open a goddamn teahouse, so I wouldn't expect it anytime soon.

how the fuck do I make Emil spawn in front of the resistance camp

If you used chapter select, then you gotta go down to his base and steal his mask, talk to him afterwards and start warping around until he spawns where you need him.

Not only.
It is first Yoko game to release on PC. For many people it is first game to play, including me.
And if this game is secondary in writing I will gladly buy PS3 for that moonman.

Well you fucking should, Nier is much better story and meta wise.
But expect mediocre beat-em up with mediocre shmup segments.
Drakengard's gameplay on the other hand is so terrible it's better be played on youtube, despite the fact you you can probably emulate it on a toaster with half of Automata's specs.

Well it sounds like I shit on Automata.
No, it's still great fucking story, being worse than Nier doesn't say much as it is simply brilliant.

There's one quest where you meet the fans of a certain robot named Jean-Peal who's name is Satre in the JP version, he also ties in to the back story for the Opera Singer Boss in Route B

His whole schtick is that he preaches existentialism and all the other robots think it's stupid other than his "fans", who were lady robots that wanted to fuck him, but since he's a pretentious asshole he rejects them, but at the same time it turns the lady robots on because they love his existentialism shit The Opera Singer boss tries to become beautiful for him to love her Sorta ties in to existentialism, but eh, not really, sorta just tragic story about a lovesick robot

Actually emulation of original Drakengard on PS1 worked like shit last time I tried.
Automata is already medicore. One thing I need to give is it is not unfair. With enough work you can beat anything without being hit. That said you will need to die ~10 times to figure it out, otherwise enjoy attack you have no idea how to dodge.

Nah you only sounded like a guy who played moonman games.

Also shilling for a guy that runs games on toasters. But in reality only worthy thing is this:
steamcommunity.com/app/524220/discussions/0/135512104777399045/
This lets you toy with lightning in game, making it possible to run this game in 60FPS on nearly anything. Include it in OP next time.

sell me your boipussi

Is it just me or is it possible to interpret this as major criticism of Existentialists?

Was that 15 years ago or something? Finished this turd with pcsx2 3 or so years ago, emulation was pretty much perfect, can't remember any graphical glitches.

I played through Drakengard 1 and 2 in anticipation for Nier Automata. Emulation worked fine besides some slow downs here and there.

Well I remember 15 FPS and no enemy models around 5-3 years ago.
But it is good. I have something to play after Automata.

Why would you suffer through that game.

but why?

I knew going in 2 didn't have a good reputation. I wanted to see what it was about and while it was nowhere near as good as the first it was nice seeing Ciam again. Plus Legna, Yaha, Hanch, and that Great Library thing the holy dragons guard were pretty cool.

On the other hand I hate what they did to Manah and don't get me started on Nowe.

It isn't connected to anything else though, it's an alternate and self-contained timeline that everyone wants to forget happened. Both 1 and 2 are terrible games but 1 is actually useful story wise.

Anyone else notice you can't sell the children's cores back to Pascal? I thought that was an interesting touch.

I didn't know that, does it open a dialogue or is it just greyed out?

Doesn't appear in the list at all if I remember right. I had to go to someone else to sell them.

Guess you just couldn't figure out how to config the emulator then.

Hay 1 had terrible gameplay but I wouldn't call it a terrible game because it gave us an amazing soundtrack.

Now 2 was a terrible game but even so I wouldn't want it to be erased from the series.

A2 is absolutely best girl.
Also, her English voice is like smooth edgy butter to my ears and I think it's really cute.

You would be right. Even through I remember I tried every option I had.

I just bought and kept them because I thought they might be significant in some way. And also because it was sad and I'd feel weird selling them.

I used chapter select and sold them back to the item shop clerk in the village for irony.

Also, couldn't he have used the cores to revive the kids? Is this like the ending to Romeo and Juliet where the their death was a red herring, but his grief was so great he couldn't see it?

I think the order of events was

Else maybe he didn't want to live as a communist faggot anymore :^)

the excavator arm and goliath machine from the first level are named Marx and Engels. They literally seized the means of production by taking over the factory to produce machines.
Jean-Paul and Simone are named after Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone Beauvior, famous existentialists who had an open relationship
Pascal is named after Mathematician and christian philosopher Blaise Pascal, who wrote the book you find for Pascal on his quest
The giant Kaiju who was abandoned in the ocean is named after Karl Theodore Ferdinand Grun, who ironically wrote that human beings are social creatures that need community to survive
the baby forest king was named after Immanuel Kant, who was a transcendental idealist
The old forest king is named after Ernst Bloch, who wrote about an ideal utopia
so-shi, boku-shi, ko-shi, and ro-shi are japanese versions of ancient chinese philosophers, including confucius and laozi
the big brother machine is named Auguste after Auguste Comte, who was also a utopian. The little one is harder to nail because his name is Friedrich, which is the name of like 5 philosphers
The priest machine that all the factory ones worship is named Kierkegaard, after Soren Kierkegaard, who was a massively depressed and deeply religious philosopher
The desert machine is named Hegel, but there doesn't seem to be any real connection to the actual Friedrich Hegel, another philosopher and inspiration to Marx, Engels, and Grun
The themes of the game are based around the basic questions of philosophy, like why are we here, what is consciousness, what is the purpose of life, and how to deal with the ultimate meaninglessness of existence

>Menu consists of despair and loss of everything you love

...

You know member it was all some grand plot to gain the childrens trust to bank on their cores, but he was definitely spouting leftist nonsense at one point.

That's rather contradictory when you consider weapons and items from the Weapons/Item Traders in Pascal's Village can only be bought with G, but what would the machines need to buy or sell anyways? The relationship they have with the Resistance Camp is more favor-based in nature anyways.

That response is exactly the one 9S has. Commenting on the shop being place after Pascal goes on this whole equality spiel.

Holla Forums would call this the ultimate expression of socialist sectarianism.

I've had two dreams about this game now. In the first one I was myself, equipped with a gun and fighting alongside 2B. In the second, I was a YoRHa unit in a wrecked city of junk and trash that resembled Midgar Sector 7, trying to avoid being seen by a huge army of hostile androids. I don't know why they were hostile. Maybe they'd been taken over by the machines, or maybe I knew too much and they had orders to kill me. But there were hundreds of them, and they were all marching in lockstep, like they were having a parade through the ruined city. What does it mean?

To be fair, 9S and 2B aren't members of the village, so they may not be subject to the "share everything equally" policy, especially since their first reaction to the idea of machines who don't want to fight them is a healthy amount of distrust.

Is there an actual full list of quests somewhere, possibly by chapter?
I've looked through the fextralife wiki list and I can't seem to see anything I haven't done even though chapter select tells me I am missing quests, so I assume that list is not complete.

It should have all side quests the only one it didn't have is Emil's determination. What chapter are you missing a quest user?

The only two that you might miss for them not showing up on the map are one on the bunker and Emil's. Everything else gets a nice big red circle on the map so there's no way you should be missing it.

You forget Engel's quests don't have a marker

Apparently one involves repairing the Engels, I totally missed it because it wasn't marked.
I'm guessing the other one is Emil

I could have sworn he was marked, at least for the first one, but maybe I'm just remembering that he gets a minimap icon for being an interactable NPC.

2B OR NOT 2B?

Once you start repairing him it shows up, but to actually get the trigger going, you have to sit on the broken building in front of him. When you do, 9S will be like "we can fix him" you fetch material, bring it back, and when you fix him a little you get the chance to fix him a second time for part 2. Where you get more supplies to fix him.

To be fair, 2 did have an amazing soundtrack as well. It's a shame that everything else except based uncle Caim was shit.

I'll buy it to you if you suck my dick

Anyone find out the connections with the watchers and the machines?

Keep in mind that Emil's Determination requires you to also have done Emil's Memories and max all weapons. Determination is picked up from the same spot Memories was. I don't think any particular chapter is necessary.

Tragic regardless. Had he swallowed his pain and tried to start over he would have found not all was lost. Though it would be hard to say if that truly would have been for the better.

Do you need the children cores for anything?

Nothing yet but maybe for the exploding robots DLC :^)

jackass is gonna be the main character of the squeal because she wants to hunt down the people who created yorha who are never shown in the game

I posted about this in the other thread, but OP is a colossal fag who can't check the fucking catalog, so my post was ignored as everyone jumped to this thread instead.

Why haven't we gotten some philosophags in here discuss the all the damned philosophical references yet? I'm not really an expert, but I've figured out some things.

Kierkegaard is the leader/pope of the religious robots. Soren Kierkegaard was a Christian philosopher, who created two different argumentative stances for the sake of discussion within his writings on the subject of death. The transcendentalist and the immanentalist. An extremely dumbed down version of the beliefs of these two groups is this. The transcendentalist focuses on life after death with the belief that when they die, they will become closer to God. The immanentalist lives in fear of death, focuses more the world of the living. The machine pope has spread some of the knowledge he's acquired on Soren Kierkegaard, and the machines wishing to glean further information from him are docile while he lives. Once he is dead, no further knowledge can be obtained, and so they take what they have learned and put it into practice. The catch is, the machine pope didn't teach them the part about hell and how if you commit suicide or some other sin such as murder, you will not reach salvation. Thus with the machine pope dead, the remaining machines take a massive misinterpretation of his teachings to extremes. The machines who wish to become as gods and to make others gods are the transcendentalists, and those who cowered in fear or who fought for their survival are the immanentalists. A question I like to raise is this. Would this wrong interpretation of transcendentalism still occur even had they known they should not commit suicide or murder? Being machines, they could theoretically live forever as long as they kept repairing themselves. To not do so would to be resigning oneself to suicide. Thus, save for accidental deaths, they would not be able to become as gods. I theorize that this would result in a splintering between the transcendentalist machines into two groups. The first would reject the idea that they could not commit suicide, and do so anyways. The second would sacrifice their salvation in order to bring it to others, killing anyone they can. I believe the possibility that this is what occurred is just as likely as the machine pope not teaching them that should not kill themselves or others.

There's a joke about how Marx and [Friedrich] Engels are found protecting the means of production. There may be more to it than that, but I don't know. What I'd like to know is why the boss of the God Box is Auguste, as in Auguste Comte. I don't know enough about him though. There's also the fact the Friedrich machines are copies the small pail of water carrying machine from the beginning of route B. Which Friedrich are they meant to represent? There's more than one philosopher with that name you know. Why do they believe Auguste is their brother? Is there some meaning to this?

The Fextralife wiki has this to say about the Dark Colossus Grun.
>Most likely named after Karl Theodor Ferdinand Grün, a radical political activist and theorist whose political philosophy was influenced by Hegel and Feuerbach. Grün was exiled to Belgium only to return during the Revolutions of 1848, after which he was once again exiled. He was also a colleague of Karl Marx.
So the parallels between the Dark Colossus' and the philosopher's exiles are obvious, but again, what relation to Marx does the machine have? Has Yoko been making fun of communism by making so many of the machines that cause massive destruction communist philosophers? Grun was influenced by Hegel, who is another boss, likely named after Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel. What did Hegel beileve? And what about the Chinese philosopher references using the Japanese interpretation of their names? So-Shi, Boku-Shi, Ko-Shi, and Ro-Shi? They're all extremely similar, so is Taro saying Chinese people all look the same? What does it mean that Ro-Shi and Ko-Shi are joined at the hip? Is there any reason these bosses look like part of Hegel?

The fextralife wiki has this in the trivia for the original king of the forest kingdom, Ernst.
What does it mean that Immanuel is essentially the child of Ernst, or that he never grows up?**

The Opera Boss and Jean Paul Sartre have already been discussed plenty as well as Pascal as evidenced by OP, the giant faggot he is, putting spoilers in the subject, so I will not mention them. I have so many questions, but I'm not a philosophag.

>Posting… (NaN%) twice thrice.
WHY CAN'T I FUCKING POST?

Marx doesn't have a face. You can punch him in his dirt scoops though.

Hint hint: Most of the pure existentialists tend to kill themselves.

NEVER EVER
Square will want another game.

If philosophisers are in the game are Plato, Socrates, Jung, and Hegel

Is English your first language?

...

...

one thing i've never been clear on is if A2 is naked, if solewd. her booty shorts and top look less like clothes and more like missing skin.

also 9S + Adam's glasses = Worlds Best Shota

...

They are skin. The only clothing she wears is that thin piece of cloth over her stomach. You can blow it off with berserker mode. A2 has the cutest lickable tummy in the world.

One of the resistance camp ding dongs explains that "G" is just a unit of value for scrap parts and the like. So you're bartering scrap picked up from the machines for other scrap or items of value.

Of course that doesn't explain why the bunker uses G instead of some sort of requisitioning system.

That's SSS-level classified information user. Don't ask or Taro himself will put a hit on you.

I finally got around to beating the first secret boss and now I've got 100% of the weapons, do I have to get them all fully upgraded for the last quest to show up or can I find the quest somewhere right now to get it in my log and then just complete it later for the fight when I eventually grind out all the large batteries and shit I need to finish upgrading?

You need to unlock all the weapon stories. Don't read the secret boss's weapon's story until you've gotten the final ending though. It has spoilers.

I finished all the story endings like two weeks ago, I was just putting off fighting the secret bosses since I didn't feel like grinding to a level where the fight wouldn't take half an hour.

There's an enemy you can kill that will level you to max within half an hour. I don't recommend going above the seventies though.

The fact that Auguste is one of the very first "modern and scientific" philosphers and heavy influence and a lot of people came after him is similar to him being an older brother to most other philosophers. In addition his sense of positivism and the fact he inspired Marx and shit could be him being a near parental figure to those under him. He was also one to promote the basis of "the religion of humanity" which, while in the "god box" could be consider humanity itself, or in this case, machine lifeforms. Friedrich is probably because there are a lot of Friedrichs :^)

Meant for

I don't know why you :^). What you're saying seems mostly spot on.

Because it's the last part that I feel is it a shitpost but might be semi accurate.

There's your problem.
Jokes aside, I played Drakengard on pcsx2 a week or so before automata released and it worked perfectly with no fiddling with the emulator required.

so the logic virus the androids got is the same ones the machines get later in the game? what was up with the zombie machines

Not all logic viruses are the same, 2B mentioned the logic virus vaccine in the prologue way before the events after ending B. So not all viruses are the same. As per the machine lifeforms, that may be a form of logic virus but for the part with Eve freaking out was his anger affecting other robots under the part of the network he managed.

Well there are a lot Friedrichs. There's a bunch of philosophers with that name, and if Auguste Comte influenced a ton of philosophers, that seems like an apt comparison to the gang of Friedrichs surrounding him.

im talking about the zombie machines in the amusement park that clearly been infected but dont attack

I had to fiddle a little. Got it to work perfectly until I got to the indoors segments that had only minor slowdowns. Game was so shit though that I just stopped on chapter five or something. Watched this instead. Contain all cutscenes, all in-game voiced dialogue, and doesn't skip time during the few boss fights if I remember correctly.

The zombies are the cannibals. They're cannibals for the purpose of resource collection.

I finally completed my quest log, fully upgraded everything and got every ending but E so I'm ready to send it all to digital kingdom come. My question is, can I do that and then redo for the save file delete option?

Also, I don't know what the fuck is going on, if I'm getting Moon Man'ed or whatever but all the treasure chests changed to gold and red and look like something out of a PS2 game.

Do you have Cypress Stick equipped?

With 9S, yeah. …..Oh!

I had it equipped but didn't make any changes. At Lv90, I still brutalize everything.
My next run, I'm going to avoid doing side quests and and a bunch of chips. It really killed most of the fun.

Yeah the Hero's Sigil ability changes chests and damage values as a reference to Dragon Quest I think? So that's why that happened.

I finished the entire thing, but I used a walkthrough and listened to some podcasts when you had to collect all the weapons in the game to get ending E.
I hate collecting shit and I especially hate collecting shit while having to fulfill some dumb requirement you can't figure out in order for the weapon to show up.

>I'm ready to send it all to digital kingdom come. My question is, can I do that and then redo for the save file delete option?
Did you just ask if can DELET everything, and then redo it to DELET everything again? Otherwise, I have no Idea what "send it all to digital kingdom come" is supposed to mean.

My question, Reverse Satan is if I can get ending E, say no to the pod's request and then replay the last battle to say yes and delete the file.

Someone in an earlier thread mentioned how the credits rolling down instead of up for C and D had some sort of meaning to it. Is it something like a film reel going backwards instead of forwards to the end of the reel, or to prep you for the bullet hell minigame you need to complete for E?

It's not prep it's what a standard bullet hell motion feels like. Your enemies should come from the top.

The answer is ye

I think when he said "prep" he was using the wrong word.

Yes, it's obviously a hint of what's to come. That's the main reason it's significant. But it's also significant because very few movies ever do this, and I can't think of a single game off the top of my head that does it.

Has it been cracked yet.

No

Robo Youmu is a cute.

Can you delete earned achievements from steam? I got pic related by accident in the desert part and now I feel like a degenerate.

Delete yourself from life

You're a liar and you need a grammar lesson.

wtf does that have to do with sjw's? pls go

But I'm not. I'm even zoomed out as far as possible with the in-game settings. I got the achievement without even getting a good look, which I planned to once I finished the game or got bored.

I know this is bullshit because
A) You need to look up her skirt more than once, not possible to get by accident
B) you need to hold the camera under her skirt each time for a few seconds for her to do an animation swiping the camera away

I know this isn't possible to get by accident because I TRIED to get it, and I didn't know I had to hold the camera under and wait for an animation. So if I couldn't get it by putting the camera under her every opportunity (but not holding it there like you have to), there's almost no way you can accidentally get it.

Okay, so I now understand most of the philosophical references. There are still some I don't get. I don't understand the use Immanuel, Hegel, or the four Shi machines.

It is literally the first achievement possible in the game and you planned to get it after you finished? I did it immediately after beating Marx.

My first achievement was killing 255 enemies using the flight unit because I started on hard and kept getting shit on. I spent a few hours wiping during the (((tutorial))) before I gave up and put it on normal.
But now normal feels too easy. There's something missing between normal and hard imo. Or maybe that's because I haven't gotten too far into the game yet.

That's pretty much everyone's assessment, normal's too easy and hard's barely different from very hard unless you do grinding in a couple places to push yourself out of the oneshot range for bossfights.

Shi machines are the Japanese name for all of the big Chinese philosopher's. Confucius, Laozi, and the like.i.e. it's all the same for inferior Chinese philosopher's :^) Hegel refers to Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel though don't ask me why in particular it was him for that boss. Immanuel was named after Immanuel Kant, who argued about Categorical Imperatives, the very simple way of phrasing it being "doing it certain things has intrinsic value not because of end results but of the spirit behind the motion." i.e. while the forest machine lifeforms protect a useless king the intrinsic goodness of what they are doing makes it a good thing to do in and of itself or something like that.

Either way you're full of shit. You have to pin 2B against the wall, maneuver the camera into place and hold it for 3 seconds 10 times, accident my ass. And most people say play on Normal until you grind enough levels in game that normal is boring and switch to hard.

No. I did get it by accident. Why is this unbelievable? I didn't even notice the animation until it was pointed out to me in this thread. Like I said, this happened to me in the desert part while sliding down and running up sand dunes.

Why?

It's not just a matter of difficulty and Hard being nearly equivalent to Very Hard. On all difficulties enemies have too little health, save for the golden machines. You can't put you're moves to the test when everything dies so quickly. Ramping up enemy damage to one shot you does not fix this problem. It's not straight up "too easy" or "too hard", it's unbalanced.

Literally impossible because she has to be standing still to get the animation ten times to get the achievement.

Well that explains Immanuel, but there has to be more to the Chinese philosophers than that, and Hegel is still a mystery.

where is the best place to get natural rubber? That's the last ingredient I need to upgrade my pod, and the wiki I found only says the best spot it outside the factory. I really don't want to save/load and grind to get 10 of these things.

You have two options, grind for it by saving at the factory gather, if not found, reload. Or you wait until after Ending B and buy it from the Attraction zombie vendor.

That and it's a quest reward so you could do that quest.

It took you less than 2 tries to get past the tutorial on Hard? On your first play through? Wow, you're gud!
If you die, you have to start all over. That's the annoying part. That's why it takes forever. Sure, it's like memesouls to the point where once you figure it out it's easy but unlike memesouls, there are no check points. After finding out you could switch difficulty after the tutorial, I gave up. It would have been way easier to play it on easy/normal first then clear it on hard. But what's the point?

I'm pretty sure it can be bought either very late game from the shop in the theme park, or from Emil on his third and fastest route. Can't remember which. The only item you ever need to farm for is pure water.

That was not my claim. My claim was that it shouldn't take more than two tries. I took exactly two. One to realize I can get my shit kicked in easily, which happened just before the factory lava, and one more to not take more than one hit without healing to full. The boss of the tutorial can't one shot you if you level up enough, so just kill everything along the way.

why are retards still spoilering this game
it's been out long enough

You are right about Natural Rubber being available at the vendor in attraction square late game, but, Pure Water isn't the only item that can't be bought in any shops and is a bitch to find. There's Simple Gadget, Elaborate Gadget, Complex Gadget are all a pain in the fucking ass for pod upgrades.

Those are all obtained in sufficient amounts from quests. To get the very last ones you'll need, you need to do that 95% unit data quest for 4S.

None of the gadgets are a reward for the 4S quests at any level.

sorry, only Elaborate

For simple gadget you need 20 total to upgrade all pods. You only get 8 from quests. You either have to find the hidden gathering points with scan, or rummage around in city ruins for the last 12 you need.

should i? or continue waiting for crack

Do we already have direct rips of the soundtrack? If not, I can upload mine to MEGA.

thanks guys, I've beaten all the endings so I can just chapter select to the vendor to buy my rubber, thanks again

Well the only thing I ever had to farm other than fish was pure water. I must have gotten somewhat lucky maybe. There's a possible exploit for simple gadgets though. Near the beginning you get the "sidequest" that unlocks the weapons shop. I think he needed simple gadgets, which if you don't already have them, four are forced to spawn in the marked area in the map. You can use chapter select to abuse this, since I don't think any individual upgrade requires more than 4 simple gadgets at once.

Wait on the crack for as long as you don't think you may die in the near future user.

This brings me some joy.

He needed the elaborate gadgets, it's a different drop. You can find 10 by scanning, you can find 8 by quest, so I guess in the end you only absolutely need to find 2 but there's no way to buy them and if you miss any of the scan points that's another 5 minutes of trying to find the drop which simple gadgets are rare drops.

No was saying the 4S quest only gives elaborate gadgets. In the post I responded to, he was complaining about simple gadgets not being sufficiently supplied by sidequests.
I suppose it would be relevant to note that I was always casually scanning everywhere i went in the game after I found the weapon placed in the first area you use the scanner.

I meant the guy at the camp, the quest at the camp to unlock the weapons store, that guy needs elaborate, or complex gadgets, not simple. I forget which. (I wish they weren't so similarly named)

(checked) You can't do this on /a/
Oh, well fuck. He better get to scanning then.

Jesus fuck this game. Is there no quest that doesn't end up in some sort of tiny little nightmare?

That wandering couple thing…holy fuck.

Oh god, some family members watched me play that part. They all thought it was pretty fucked up.

Better than the original Nier quest where you track down a son who ran away from home because he didn't want to go into his family business, you chase him across three different cities, and lecture him about family love. He goes back, turns out the entire family are bandits and he just wanted to live an honest life, they steal everything from town and leave.

If youre walking in the sewer i accidentally got the trophy because she rapidly batted the camera. Its a glitch but easy to replicate accidentally.

She has to stay still to do the animation though, why are you not moving in the sewer?

He didn't say that
I liked that quest. I think it was a good life lesson.

Works while walking. I was admiring her wet strut

I didn't know she could do it while walking because it's a bitch to get the angle right, but

Nigger the trophy is to be looking at her ass, if you were intentionally looking at her ass you didn't get it on accident.

fuck responded to the wrong person I need to go to bed

Oh pish posh that ultra dynamic, fighting android life was part of the story as much.

She had no skirt to look up tho. She batted the camera rapidly. Atleast 10 times in 5 seconds. Like an animation glitch. It was weird. But i can still do it.

does 2B like 9S or something? and I mean like like.

Obviously. Theyve been together alot longer than 9S knows. Same goes for 210

2B doesn't look like that

Holyshit. Tell me the art for this isn't garbage.

Way to point out the obvious.

...

Where there many ways to break each game? I solved each one immediately and felt weird. Was i lucky? Were there many ways to solve?

It took me like seven or eight tries to find the first one but got the second and third first try. I think it's just the one glitch for each.

You'll see

I felt like it should have been harder to solve. The problems werent obvious either.

It's the usual cartoony western tripe.

I dunno, the second two I remember breaking just in the natural process of me playing them.

You normally crash into the core? Or scrape walls?

Yeah I tend to get right up next to the cores to shoot at them, at least the ones that do single bullet streams since it makes it super easy to circle them and avoid wasting shots breaking orange bullets.

Here is a bad edit. Next time disable the HUD.

Unequipping the all the hud chips won't stop that as none of them have the purpose of creating the "saving possible" in the corner. It happens regardless unless you happen to be in certain scenes where the "hide the hud during certain scenes" chip is predetermined to hide it.

...

Oh, well I'm just retarded then. I could have sworn it still showed up when I was doing my no HUD very hard run.

Wait, are you sure this isn't just menu map icons? The "saving now" text only appears when you go from an area you cannot save to one you can, so standing in the camp idly wouldn't make it show up. I pretty sure that's how that ship worked.

That chip*
To clarify, I believe that chips only makes save icons appear on the menu map.

>Put save points chip on to hide "Saving is possible" message
u wot

I showed the chip and then removed it, genius.

No. The message is always on as long as you are in range (and have the chip). Just try it instead of being contrarian. How did you even get to the final chapter of the game without realizing such simple things?

I could have sworn it fades away after a few moments. I'll have to check when I get home later today.

On your way home find a nice place to jump from.

Wait a second, I recognize that butt shot!

addressing the Grun one specifically, Karl Grun taught that humans required unhindered, social community, and that things like religion, class, and money were things separating them.
this becomes tragically ironic considering the kaiju was exiled under the sea away from all the other machines due to his destructiveness

I think the point is quite obvious. There are plenty of well intentioned marxists who, being idealists, don't realize they're only going to fuck everyone's shit up.

No U :^)

I fucking hate this moeshit garbage game, it's 100% clickbait and muhdick porn game that only teases you and not gives you the full shit.

...

denuvo kills modding though, and don't give me that shit about Conan being moddable, its exclusive to one tool only and no third party mod/scripting will be allowed, fuck denuvo so hard.

if it doesn't, then this shouldn't exist

Hmm.

You’re an autistic faggot.

Are you bored or something? Just go masturbate instead.

Jason Schreier is that you?

I think he might have just been lusting for 9S…

YOKO TARO WAS WRONG
I'LL SAVE EVERYONE

So I decided to try and sync up the vocals of Song of the Ancients from Nier Gestalt and Nier Automata. The instrumental parts are a little weird at first but then it begins to sync up pretty well shortly after the lyrics start. Second half is a ton better because there's only one vocal track playing. Tell me what you think.

vocaroo.com/i/s1LZMZFo2UPq

I don't get what the Devola/Popola of the first game did wrong. Are they just assuming responsibility of Nier and co. screwing everything? Is it because nobody remembers Nier (Even though he survives in ending E)

I fucking lost it.

they assumed full responsibility for the failure of the gestalt project. When relapses and the black scrawl happened, they tried to unfuck things and they couldn't. They failed their duty in that regard.

Just a general failure to handle the situation, which might of been caused directly by the Shadowlord.

Specifically the Popola and Devola helping Nier to unlock grimoire Weisses hidden verses. Popola and Devola from Nier's enabled him and Weiss intentionally with the information and support they gave them finding all the verses. The plan was, when Weiss fully got all the verses, he can begin the end of Project Gestalt by fusing with Grimoire Noir causing all gestalts and replicants to forcibly merge. The Nier village Popola and Devola encouraged Nier and Weiss to power up so that they could end project Gestalt early. Because Black Scrawl and relapsed Gestalts were getting way out of control, they were pulling the plug short. After letting Weiss power up, the plan was kill/stop Nier, take Weiss end the project. However, Nier and Weiss got so fucking powerful that Popola and Devola got killed by them, and allowed Nier to kill the Shadowlord and literally everyone else. Because those particular Popola and Devola actively helped Nier and Weiss to power up they indirectly killed everyone.

Yoko games are fucking amazing.

not the entire human race, but without his body, is he truly human?
without his memories, does he even know?

Speaking of Emil, does all his split-off selves count as one Emil in spite of no connection between them or are they all truly individual beings?

But they needed Weiss to power up so they could end the project at all or risk Gestalts going full Remove Replicants.

Honestly the admins should've researched more old world stories and found out that you don't mess with imouto

But you're only one

Yes, it's true they needed Weiss powered up but they were supposed to have control of him not Nier. They also didn't power him up at the correct phase, again they were cutting it short due to black scrawl epidemic and relapse casing increasing drastically. Allowing Nier to do what he did they killed everyone.

Pretty neato

Finally found a copy of OG Nier, graphics and gameplay are way dated but holy shit that music is maximum comfy

ree

Here it is with vocals. It's not like the song that's got the actual duet. Just the two individuals' put into one Song of the Ancients.

vocaroo.com/i/s1zkRgrSHhWv

that's a weird dick

Now here's two versions of a certain Automata song meshed into one. The two songs are aligned to try and match up the vocals but eventually the beats desync…to something fucking amazing. A duet. The song itself could be tweaked so certain parts match up better and certain parts sound sloppy but right now I'm just having fun.

that ass cracks into itself into itself.

You sound like you'd recognize a gay blowjob aswell.

Some people are masterfully autistic enough to recognize all but the smallest details.

You have no idea about my obsession with perfection, user.
I once spent a week reencoding a webm so it hit 8MB perfectly

Colorize your waifus!

Does anyone else suspect that this game was a trick to get us filthy gaijins to play as a bishi protagonist, since Taro wasn't allowed to get away with it in the last game?

It wasn't that he wasn't allowed to get away with it, he was fine making both games and even excited that Japan got an exclusive version and the Americans get the grough protag they like. Square America overheads had actually tried to get him to do no bishi protag whatsoever and just have Papa Nier and THAT actually pissed him off.

If Nier gets a remake I want the option to play as papa Nier or Bishi Nier one I get to choose though.

I just got ending E and gave away my save data to help others beat the game I feel a sense of happiness, but also great despair.

...

I'll keep copying myself and sending the copies, as many it takes, until everyone is safe

Hello there, "Not Emil."

Oh, God. Taro saw the savescumming coming. You could do it in NieR too. To circumvent the way savescumming takes away from the final ending, he had the Emil sidequest be in the game to serve as an analogy for what you do when you savescum.

That wouldn't be true to the spirit of the game, and I don't think I'd feel the same kind of gut wrenching impact upon seeing the words upon the screen if I planned to just game the system.
Knowing that other people had sacrificed their saves to aid me, and then knowing that I would then have to repay that kindness by offering my own save to be sacrificed is a unique feeling

>not essential for giving respects to your loved ones.

That too. It can serve multiple purposes. Like Adam and Eve or Romeos and Juliets.

you did help that resistance member outside of the nursing area in the camp, right? The one sitting down?

Yes.

>tfw you realize that the Nier song Grandma got a boss remix because A2's personality is based off the original Kaine's

I really need a good subtitled video of that damn stageplay.

Good catch.

Yeah I just got the soundtrack downloaded and I remember another user bitching in a thread or two back about how out of place the song is as a boss music and then I remembered who A2 is implied to be.

I've got both soundtracks but didn't notice the songs were the same due to language barriers.

Wait what? Did I miss something?

It has to do with original Nier.

No, I mean where does it say that A2's personality is based on Kaine?

ッ Have you played both games? シ

The stage play that A2 is the main character is where it's mentioned she has her personality based off of a young girl who lived with her loving grandmother, they didn't mention Kaine specifically but with the grandma remix it is heavily implied. This may also be why everyone though 2B was a futa when the first trailers came too.

I can't help but notice that that gif is .06 KB OVER the 200 mark…

she has two hams for an ass

TWO
HAMS

FUCK

Bump. And no, the CPY thread is not a NieR: A thread.

Anyone figured out what 2deep4u shit Hegel and the four chink bosses represent?

Why does Kaine run like Naruto?

I feel like I've heard the opening of this song in another game before, anyone else getting that feeling?

MUH DARK PAST
MUH TYRANN
MUH GRANDMA
GAS THE SHADES, RACE WAR NOW
NIER DID NOTHING WRONG

By accident is the correct grammar yo

Not sure I'd agree with this in whole. Story wise Nier and Drakengard are the better games but Automata is the best showcase of Yoko Taro as a game director. The best example of what I'm talking about here is ending E. Much in the same way that DOD3's ending was a better implemented version of DOD1's, Automata was a better implemented version of Nier's ending, very much due to the way it fits so well into the setting and that it goes even further with doing something only a video game could do. We also got to play through the game from the perspective of other characters this time which is what route B of the first Nier seemed like it wanted to do. The whole of the story can only be found by seeing from the perspective of multiple characters and this is beneficial to both the gameplay and the story. Yoko Taro has either gotten better and better as a director or the talent he got working with him for Automata allowed his ideas to be fully realised this time. Whether the former or the latter is true, Automata is currently his best example as a director.

As it turns out, there is no rule on the usage, though "by accident" came first, it's usage has been in decline ever since the 1900s and usage of "on accident" spiked in the 90s.

Preach it.

...

Truly the only time 3D comes close to acceptable, only close though, is when it puts effort into making itself resemble 2D as much as possible.

First no evade key, now this?

I know. Why is this such a shit port, but Bayo was apparently good based on it's reception?

Having been online for this long I can bet you that this is a man on hormones.

Bayo is Sega, they have good PC ports.
Neir A is Squeenix, they have very bad PC ports.

I thought Plat's team handled both of those things.

Nice try Mr. (1), aka, tranny shill.

Platinum developed both games but producers port them to additional platforms off of the base one they were developed for. Sega ported Bayo, Squeenix ported Neir A.

Also, I'm not a tranny shill but if you've learned anything over the past decade is that if it looks female on an image board it's probably a tyranny.

yes before you ask I did spelling it that way intentionally the second time because I'm sick of transexuals on image boards

...

so
was the game cracked yet?

Check the CPY thread. They think it will be very soon.

anyone have the "PLEASE REMOVE YOUR OS CHIP IMAGE" drawn by an user from here

im looking for the wallpaper version which i remember saving but i cant find anymore

...

No.

Will there ever be another vidya character with an ass this perfect?

I'd give up on it for a game with good gameplay.
But to answer your question, no.

W E I G H T O F T H E W O R L D

nice

I seriously want to lick her sweaty musky pussy while she twirls her tongue around my pre-cum drippen uncut cock

>Tfw their atonement is giving themselves ridiculous hair
It must be suffering
>Reading youtube comments and tvtropes
I didn't really think it was so complex that the entire game just loops but everyone else seems to think "OMG guys, sequel hoooook"

Also does anyone have a sauce for pic 5? Looks like it's from a movie or something

Meant pic 2

FUCKING SECONDARIES MY SIDES

Really though I assume it just loops eternally with YoRHa being rebuilt, machine lifeforms we gather into terminal personality, and do it all over again. Maybe not with 2B and 9S along for the ride but it happens.

But the opening of them being rebuilt, plus 2B's full dialogue in the opening makes more sense in that light
She wants to kill the pods

Futa are gayer then traps.

>pods are the bag guys
>not the YoRHa andriods in charge of the operation.

If you had just said futas were gay that would make more sense
Although you'd still be wrong

I don't care how many extra holes it has you can clearly see its big throbbing cock.
Futa is gay and so are you.

Well we know it's gay but you're somehow making the argument that having a pussy makes it more gay than not having have a pussy

Also

I'm seriously starting to question your intelligence user.

But user, the YoRHa are also built by the pods

Futas are quite literally 100% bi

>the YoRHa are also built by the pods

While completely possible they were only overseers, much like how Popola and Devola were in Nier, they didn't set up the system they maintained it after it existed. Someone else had to make YoRHa and the pods. The pods could not have made themselves AND made YoRHa.

Actually quite simply the pods could not make themselves period.

Didn't Pod 042 talk about surviving the suicide attack
The pods may also have been spies for the machines/Red the whole time

>The pods may also have been spies for the machines/Red the whole time

...

It wasn't real communism.

It stopped being communism the instant children killed themselves.

You will never get what you deserve, you will only get what you negotiate.

also
>tfw can't fap to 2B since playing the game
>tfw can't read the thread because it's full of spoilers and I already got spoiled about the biggest death at the end of the game but I'm on PC so I'll probably make a save backup

I think it stopped being real communism when the robots became so hungry they started eating each other fam :^)

Wrong. The backdoor was built in by the founders of YoRHa to be opened when the next part of the project was to begin, that is, the finalization of the falsification of humanity's existence was to be achieved by destroying YoRHa who had links to the truth.
How did you derive this? Pascal's village was wrecked for resource collection for the ship, or the cannon if you believe A2. YoRHa was only fucked up because the backdoor opened due the right circumstances being met, and YoRHa could still be considered a threat. The resistance obviously couldn't do shit to the tower, since they didn't, and the resistance wasn't killed. The repetition of the war with respect to the actions of the Red Girl is an unintended side effect.
I never said it wasn't possible, only that there's nothing to back it up.

Why the fuck is this channel a thing? What is the fucking point?

Holy kek, the cannibalism might have been another jab at the commies. I hadn't even considered that.

Informing the tech illiterate on how to make their games perform better? At least, that's what I got from the intro, didn't watch more than that.

Watch until you see the cards they are using. It is retarded.

I also got it by accident by trying to spot the commander's cameltoe.

So wait a fucking second here….
They say humanity is long gone…and in fact humanity had been long gone when the aliens attacked!

So who the fuck did the aliens attack? Androids?
Were there just androids roaming the planet and the aliens + machines just drove them off?

why arent these template shill threads deleted?

Emil played a big part in the very beginning; however the game doesn't give too many details. I know one of the stories in Grimoire Nier has a story from his perspective fighting the ayys though.

Jesus fuck. Go away.

>>get memory reset

Can you tell me what part of this is a template, or copy pasted from somewhere else, o-glorious chosen (1)?

This has been bothering me for a while, once completeing the Lunar Tear quest for Emil, he takes about how he kept fighting even as his friends died. While project Gestalt and Replicant failed shortly after the end of the original Nier, did Emil fight the ayys with the last remaining remnants? Else why is Emil ranting about his friends getting killed at the same time as he fought off the ayy invasion?

Who says he couldn't be friends with the androids? Also, I believe the dates when the humans officially go extinct and when the aliens invade are both named, but I don't know about when the last replicants die. Also, another theory is that his "friends" could be referring to his copies.

Alright this is killing me
The fucking
apologetic machines and the doors they guard
How do
I've gotten every ending except for E, and completed all sidequests. Do I just need to level up to 99? Do I need to 100% archives and unit data? Or is it fishing? I have a sneaking suspicion that it is

some kind of ultimate fish challenge boss in a subterranean lake unlocked by conquering the fish from all areas.

Dude. Just turn on wireframe mode using the debug menu to see through walls and the ground and shit.

Yes, I've seen people saying they see nothing through wireframe. Test that same theory out on the elevators for
Emil's cave and Kaine's memorial
And you can't see anything there either because the rooms don't load until you're in the elevator.

If those do turn out to be DLC doors like shitaku lite sites suggest I will be furious, that is a fucking shit thing to do for faggots and it completely breaks the game world's atmosphere for there to be an obvious, jarring secret that says "want to get through this door? 10$".

People have glitched their way in. The elevators are functional and there's nothing there. Could've sworn you could see that Emil's elevator's went way down.

Hate to break it to you, man.

And now I want to boil the eleven jew.

...

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Remember that Drakengard 3 interview with the hand puppet how he complains that you can't make a 3 minute game and charge $60 for it.

Wait didn't that person just pay for it with in game currency? Or did the person buy DLC, go into the game, and the greedy jew even charged the in game character to use DLC?

DLC should not have a big door labeled "SECRET" that only opens if you give them more money. Adding a door when you buy the DLC is fine.
It looks like dogshit anyways, who wants a coliseum mode when you already have debug where you can create much more satisfying fights on your own, especially when the balance is still an issue to the point where in normal or hard mode play everything dies too quickly to really have fun with it.

It shouldn't have been in the base game even if it is free. All content should be available day one, releasing games unfinished and then patching in content is fucking lazy.

It's free?
Still though, does it even add anything new that wasn't accessible from debug? New bosses or enemies or anything? That would at least ease the requirement for the 95% unit data quest so you have to search for less retarded rare spawns.
