Questions That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread

QTDDTOT? Can't see one in the catalogue so here goes.

Does anyone have Fast RMX on Switch? I'm wondering what camera options are available, since the floaty camera seems like it might give me motion sickness. Is there a first person or more fixed camera angle available? I miss Miiverse already. :(

where do you think we are

Not /vp/

Reccomend me third person shooters for the PS2. I need something to pirate and play.

Psy-Ops is pretty good. There's a Shadowman game on PS2 as well, though I can't remember if it's a remaster or a sequel to the N64 game.

is this the dubs thread

Ok-ay, i'm downloading that Psy-ops game right now. Thanks, just got FreeMcboot on my PS2 and i want to give it some use beyond an NES emulator.

There has to be a hack to get this thing. There's no way a reasonable human being is supposed to be able to get this thing.

Resident Evil 4
Bad Boys 2
The Suffering

no

Anyone know if this game's any good? It apparently saw an English PAL release, but as it was never brought to North America, I have never really seen it brought up in discussion much.

There's a left 4 dead achievement like it.

Why has reddit and spacing been word-filtered?

Is The Dwarves any good?

Because you're a fag and need to lurk more.

What is the Harvest Moon game with the best/most in-depth dating mechanics? The one with the best girls?

So retarded text formatting has become accepted now?

DUBS DISAGREE

Because of dumb niggers like you.

More friends of Mineral Town has the best boys

What happened to the card for Yoko Taro? I missed the end of the thread.

the answer is still no

Whichever one has the most porn made for it.

So what the fuck are you supposed to call retarded spacing now?

FUCK

Is there somewhere with a list of what Vita games work on PSTV?

I get this is the stupid questions thread but fuck three words in google and there are tons of resources to answer this question.

is Holla Forums acting a bit strange for anyone else?

my dick is acting strange when looking at these images

I was hoping more for a repost image or a dedicated website.

Wikipedia is fine, but it doesn't give me enough info (does the game have optional touch pad options, is it Japanese only, is it still in stock or second-hand only).

Been playing the Wario Land games. Fully finished 1, Virtual Boy, 2, 3, and working my way through 4 now.
Is Wario World worth playing through, or should I jump directly to Shake It after 4?

I played it, pretty good.

Enemies are basically re-skinned between levels, and pummeling could get boring fast as there is no bonus to doing it (other than plowing through a crowd spinning an enemy or pile-driving it from a high place). However, the bosses are cool and finding each golden wario statue piece and getting the hidden pixie-thing cages can be fun.

Of note- the Japanese version is slightly different, as the boss has a second phase. In all other versions, the first phase just carries on for longer, and it's not as good IMO.

If you get bored, it won't get better- so don't be afraid to drop it mid-way through.

* the final boss I meant.

What are some worthwhile games for the 360? I picked up one for free a while back and so far have:
- Dark Souls
- Red Dead Redemption
- Binary Domain
All got for under 10 Trudeau Cuckbucks each. I'm looking for Bayonetta but haven't gotten it yet. I also got a 250gb hdd from China for like $15 so digital download is also tenable but all the store prices are absurdly high.

pic unrelated

red dead, yes

Dead Rising
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
Vanquish
Condemned 1 & 2

Thanks, I'll give it a shot when I finish 4.

Why own something with paid online?

It has good music, but it's admittedly one of Treasure's worse games.

It's fun to mess around with a bit, but you won't miss out on much by skipping it

Everything that has been mentioned, and Crackdown.

What about threads that don't deserve their own questions?

Tell that to the PS4 threads

None of them go beyond "give gift every day and throw a feather at her". Magical Melody probably had the best cast of characters with a decent amount of variety along with some of the funner mechanics though.

Nier is decent and was super cheap though the price might have shot up after Automata.

Where do I buy a nice pair of sunglasses?
Should I emulate the Gamecube version or N64 version? There's no rumble using gamecube controller on N64 emulators so that's why I'm a bit torn.

Emulate Majora's Mask, leave it to me to screw that up.

Any good strategy or management games where you aren't a ghost in the sky, but actually play as a character within the world? Kinda like the stage battles in Brutal Legend, but not necessarily involving combat.

Any good games for the 3ds this year?

I of The Dragon.
Battle Mages: Sign of Darkness

being a virgin isn't exclusive to that board

Total Annihilation, sort of.

It's supposed to be unobtainable.

Operation Darkness was… playable, if you see it on the cheap and you like SRPGs. What's weird about it is that it wasn't great, but it got bad reviews all out of proportion to its averageness.

How about the Tropico series, or Jagged Alliance 2?

Why is this board so filled with weebs?

Wario World is a Treasure game
Shake it is a different team too.

Take a closer Look at Wario Land 4's Sound design and it's minigames. It's all Wario Ware and Rhythm heaven after this.

gamecube version runs at a better framerate if I'm not mistaken.

...

Is it better to die playing video games or try to do some self improvement?

I'm furious. Yes, I've been here since exodus but it seems like weebs and stormfags are the only people left.

Even having an asian girlfriend would had been too much of a social interaction to me recently. Not like i can even talk to anybody. Funny.

Also
Does not compute. If you trying to repopulate and hate racemixing between asians and whites, you would be a stormfag yourself. Or else there's no point for you to point that out.

It was unrelated you fuck
This is why everyone hates us.

fuck off jewpig

I would prefer non-japanese video games only if western industry was slightly better, but so far only slavic and japanese gaming industries present some writing and gameplay quality and europe with america cannot compete with those.

The "east" is far more intelligent than the "west".

its great but its over before you know it. kinda like 4.

fuck off with that shit you dont play them for the story, you just want to fap to it. Being elitist about the quality doesn't make it good.

thats easy. both of these parties can subside on shitty memes and circlejerking like a cockroach, whereas good honest Holla Forums anons would prefer to play instead of posting the same tired things over and over. and once a topic has been exhausted, then it tends to be put on hold for a while.

You faggots still never explain why racemixing is bad, when in fact that it has health benefits and makes you taller.

I'm not not proud, I'm just not afraid of coloreds like you fags are are.

if youre in to cartoony stuff:
metal arms
ratchet and clank
if mech customization tickles your fancy then grab armored core, although its really a TPS second

Looks interesting.
Heh.

If I'm not mistaken, those games play like traditional strategy games - eg. you don't play as the commander, you just have the commander available as a unit. On the other hand, in Factorio for example, you actually play as the guy. Your camera is locked to your character and you have to physically travel within the world. That's what I want.

sacrifice

To be honest, I think Sacrifice is viewed with way too much nostalgia. The constant tug of war when hunting for souls can be extremely boring at times.

What does Peach's butt smell like? Peaches?

good luck finding bone marrow for your mongrel children user

Am I or have I ever been a faggot Holla Forums?

That's some nice propaganda pal

Gee, I wonder

Thanks user I needed the reassurance.

Divinity: Dragon Commander. The devs tried to make an RPG and an RTS at the same time. The RTS side is mediocre at best, and the RPG is entertaining although not really good. Notable parts include the giant soul-eating demon that lives inside your flagship and the skeleton princess you can choose to give a human, robot or frankenstein body (pic related, although I don't recognize the leftmost body).

Self improvement is vital to playing more vidya. You don't have to be a genius or get ripped, but at least aim to be not obese so you don't die of a heart attack and try to read some books every once in a while. Even shit like history books can give you a better appreciation for games set in ancient history. Or you can get mad at the lack of authenticity. Either way, it lets you see things from a different perspective

I am retarded, meant to reply to

You sound like a feminist.

Daily reminder we have Holla Forums's photos, and it turns out they're the most stereotypical tumblrinas you can imagine. Literally landwhales and numales checking their pronouns.

It wasn't hard, as they're very active on Reddit and Tumblr.

Awesome, thanks for the recommendations

Could someome help me with senran kagura?
My x360 usb controller is connected and everything but it's not being recognized by the game.

Really specific question here for anyone who plays Arcanum:

I've had this bug show up that seems tied to the level one elemental enchantments. Even when I have none active, it still shows one being active on the top of the screen, in a little box on the right side (rather than the left, where it belongs). When I cast the first one, it goes up on the left side of the top bar. Upon casting the second one, I get this really weird glitch where the "scheme" menu from the Character Menu pops up. Upon hitting "C" and bringing the editor up, and then closing it, it goes away for a few seconds, but then just comes back.

When I disable one of the enchantments, there is a pause, and then the enchantment on the right screen pops up in the box where the disabled one was. Except it doesn't confer any of the stat boosts. Once I disable it again, and then disable the other one, the "scheme" menu stops showing up.

Anybody have any idea what the fuck is going on?

Why does everyone hate me?

Holla Forums might be full of mystery meat and spergs but they're still far more personable than any Holla Forums type I've ever seen.

You try too hard.

Thanks guys, will be on the lookout for them

What's are some must-play PC-98 games? I know Falcom's entire catalog ranges from good to excellent, but what are some other publishers to keep an eye out for?

What two weapons should I focus on in Toukiden 2? Rifle, Naginata, Gauntlets or Sword & Shield?

Bad taste sighted.

Evil Genius? You can go around your base killing henchmen and the like.
There's also Battlezone, where you build a base on the ground but can pilot a tank to combat threats on the map.
Battlefront 2 has a mode where you conquer maps on the galaxy then take part in the battle on the ground.

If the rifle is anything like it was in No.1, then that's what I used for most of the time. Dodge-roll, hit giant glowing parts, reload, dodge-roll. Never got the hang of melee weapons.

It's basically the same but with a few small tweaks, like there is now a way to reload completely of one time of ammo that takes the same time it takes to reload a single shot normally.

There isn't anything I care about on the ps4.

Why isn't there any porn with her in it? Let alone art, at that.
WHY IS THE ENDING TO THIS GAME SO HORRID, WHY WOULD THEY DO THIS TO US

What's wrong with FF? Apart from the fact that it won't ever be finished because the qt mangaka died from aggressive cancer

Where can I get reasonable PSP batteries? Most of the ones I find on Amazon look like cheap and shady chink bootlegs.

Can someone recommend tutorials on how to hack PSPs?

wololo.net for hacking, don't know about the batteries. Could try a local game store for brick & mortar.

Speaking of "questions that don't deserve their own thread" am I the only person that found the RTS part totally impenetrable? Or am I maybe missing an overlay or something without realizing it? I've learned GSG games and complex shit like that, but when a fight starts in D:DC I just get into "what the fuck" mode and I can never get out of it.

Could it maybe be interacting with a passive or something from your gear? Although that said Arcanum was pretty damn glitchy.

But it definitely is the source thread.

Why has there never been a game that looks like its box-art? I mean good god, there's some real kick-ass box-arts out there, but none of them look like the actual game.

What makes Stalker better than FO4?

mods?
At least for the first stalker, haven't played the others

What about answers that don't deserve their own questions?

That's because no one plays those games anymore, user. No one develop them either.

I've barely played any console exclusive games, what are the best ones? I've already played the following:
The games need to be good at everything they set out to do (if something is focused on story then it needs to have a good story but if it isn't then who cares).

And I don't have time to play a shit ton of games so only recommend the absolute best of the best, like top 20 at most. This also means short and sweet is preferred.

They're completely different beasts, Stalker has actually difficult and enigmatic elements that can wreck your shit without you understanding, the enemies are nasty fucks and the inventory system is painful when you're trying to make money runs. It's also old and ugly.

FO4 is a spectacle, it has many 'Oooh' moments and some flashy places but they're shallow, it's easy and the interplay between characters is bad, the story is wonky and you're entirely justified in killing Shawn on sight (as I did) which rather undercuts one of the main thrusts of the plot, the DLC isn't up to much either. It's still something you can sink 100s of hours into though if you're obsessive enough.

Having non-shit gameplay

Thanks for the info. I can look past the bad plot but I don't want a casual gameplay experience. What I'm interested in is the random enemy encounters which I think both games have.

The Warriors. The best.

Which Monster Hunter had the shitty localization that added stuff like weak spot info?

Why don't anons make punished Holla Forums pics anymore?

Atmosphere, immersion, and an emphasis on exploration wheras fallout 4 is settlement building and poorly voiced quests.

Is there a game as simulationist as Dwarf Fortress but commercial and finished? I'm particularly interested in simulated persons and the emergent gameplay that is driven by their interactions with one another and the gameworld.

First, nice dubs
Second, I'm calling bullshit. Everything in this game can be unlocked with enough hacking, and I refuse to believe this is the one time where that isn't true.

smells like ass

Is there a version of Abuse that isn't locked at 15 FPS? It would be a perfect game if it didn't give me a headache.

Are you projecting? Why do liberals always think this?

You did post 2B though.

Didn't the Gamecube version have a gamebreaking bug though?
Which emulator did you use? I think I got it to work once, probably on 1964.

The Sims

Any good MUDs with an active community?

I used Retroarch with Mupen Core. I used vjoy to install the drivers. Zadig think that's what it'scalled installs it but it only works on Dolphin.
Tried Project 64 but it told me I wouldn't get rumble I'd get notificiations. I even got a plugin for the controller forget what it's called now.

...

I didn't even consider that, thanks.

Not so much a question but I think it's telling that the number one post on reddit right now is a giveaway of a single xbone that has 48k upvoats and 87k comments. Talk about social media markerting, god damn

Since you clearly like action games you should play the Xbox Ninja Gaiden games. It also looks like you own a Wii U but managed to avoid playing The Wonderful 101, play that.

And I think it's more disgusting that it's about impossible to even find a comment asking why this is the top thing on reddit, you literally cannot find a reply other than "ME" "MEEE!"

Meh, back then it was fine if that was all you had and it did have the most content until the Wii port came along.

Will people ever stop comparing the Yakuza games to GTA?

no

Which subbed version of Fate Stay Night VN is the best one?

All of the games after MHFU

I suppose it's because gamergate kind of died down.

Image unrelated.

current Hardware is starting to get old
so should I spend $200 and upgrade to the GTX 970
or should I go all out and upgrade the CPU as well which would be:
would cost me approximately $530 total plus I would have the labor to replace the CPU which is a pain in the ass. If I want better then FX-8350 then I need to get a new motherboard.

I am thinking that the latter option would be smarter, but I also think I might put off upgrading for another year just because I am really in no rush to play the latest games (and I could always play it on my PS4 if I am desperate)

For anyone that knows MAME and the Vampire series, I need help:

I don't know where you got that from but I really doubt it. Bottlenecks vary from game to game so saying that a specific chip absolutely won't bottleneck a specific card is a work of fiction.

I've seen 8xxx series chips on sale for like $130 or less pretty frequently since Ryzen dropped but I don't think it's worth upgrading at this point. Grab a 6GB 1060 instead of a 970, the 970's got some architectural weirdness that Nvidia will happily stop putting effort into supporting as soon as they can get away with it.

Alright, I want to play this. What kind of mindset should I go into it with?

I guess what should I know about it in general? I tried it out once awhile back and didn't have fun so I'm going to give it another shot, see if I just was missing something. Also sage for double post

How does Arcanum compare to Black Isle and Bioware isometric RPGs? I could not get into those for some reason, most likely due to bad, unsatisfying combat and ugly animations. Is Arcanum better when it comes to that? It kind of looks like it based on the videos, but it's not enough to convince me.

Game is almost a horde mode shooter. You will be killing a lot of things and there will be little time to slow down and take a breath during actual missions. You don't have that many option at the start, but the further you go the more room for experimenting there is. I recommend starting with heavy armor and a mini-gun.

Well the simplest way to get into eye is just guns guns guns, and a med kit
early game the shotgun/minigun plus a side arm can get you through anything, though later on when you start seeing things with heavy armor, such as gun ships or hostile jains, your going to need something with armor piercing, such as the heavy sniper rifle or the bear killer if you can manage to unlock it.
What ammo your enemies drop is weighted to what you are carrying so try not to bod yourself down completely with ammo boxes when you can be sure to get some off of of the next five guys you kill
Don't worry too much about the starting stats, unless you are want to min-maxx it. As long as your primary stat ( accuracy if going guns) is in the green you are probably going to be fine.
I would also suggest not worrying too much about the story on your first play through. the translation isn't the greatest and a lot of the lore is in huge text dumps in the library.
Basically what I am saying is go in shoot everything that tries to kill you and hack everything that doesn't.

Combat in Arcanum is kind of a hot mess. It has both turn based and real time with pause modes, the real time mode balance is terrible but there's not really a lot of reason to actually use turn based most of the time.

In spite of the poor execution, you might still say that Arcanum's combat is a lot more engaging than fallout, it's nearest neighbor. The character system gives you a lot more build room for interesting in-combat options (ie different spells and tools), whereas Fallout's character builds pretty much just determine your chance to hit and damage, while every build still shoots or melees in pretty much the same way.

yes I know, same is true of multi core CPU's but if the game doesn't need the horsepower then I am not really getting the most out of the graphics card and I thought I could save some money going with the GTX 970 (seems I was wrong looking at the prices on newegg and amazon). But now that I think about it you are right. I should just go with the 1060 and if I start to run into bottle necking latter on then I could upgrade to the FX-8350. a upgrade leapfrog strategy that will save me money in the interim.
yeah I know, its the GTX 1060 6GB that cost around $250-$300 but I tent to round up when estimating cost and I was basing the number on the 1070 which is ~$400

thanks for the feedback.

The real time combat can barely even be called that. It's just turn based combat without the turns.

And with attack speeds being based off of animation times instead of actual speed stats, and everything happening at the same time. It's terrible, but it's fast and if you aren't fighting anything that can actually kill you there's no reason to waste time in turn based.

not until sega stops sucking dick

are there any games where I can own a brewery?

Does anyone know if you can download game patches on Nintendo Switch if you don't have an eshop account?

Partners in Time or Superstar Saga ?

I know I played both, but I can't remember which one I liked better. Please help, which one was better ?

Okami for PS2 or Wii? I think the brush strokes became wagglan, which, if not completely shit, could be novel. I'm only playing one, though.

Wii, definitely.

Thread saving bump.
I got Onechanbara Z2: Chaos for PC, bit it won't detect my controller's d-pad.
Every other button works, but the D-pad.

Fug, forgot to put my question.
Does anyone know how to fix this?*

Also, X360ce doesn't do anything.

This is a question I have about making gameplay videos. I plan on making videos consisting of about 30-45 minutes of just general gameplay, and I was wondering if the videos would need any introduction saying who I am, what game it is, and if there's anything extra to note in the video.

I'm already trying to record an introduction like this (Having done a few prior), but my inexpensive audio equipement and software is detecting the white noise and an apparent lisp (It sounds like I'm hissing words ending with an"s") far too much.

For the lisp thing, you could play it off as you being part snake for the hell of it, might get some laughs from it. People would point out the lisp and white noise thing eventually so you can cut them off before they make the comment.

I personally prefer all the information about the game/video in question to be in the description. Which might be your best bet due to the white noise and lisp.

Since it doesn't seem like you are going for a commentary heavy format, getting the information you think is necessary through text is probably the safest bet until/if you get better equipment and software.

Post an example. But like said, there's no need to use an intro if you're just posting otherwise uncommentated gameplay. (which we could use more of)

Alright then. Thanks for advise. I'll see about doing that.

Cortex Command is a very light 2D RTS in which you can play any of the NPCs, even the drop ships. Heavily physics based.
