If it was just all gunfights 100% of the game I'd let this slide, but if ME2 is a mediocre TPS, then ME1 is an abysmal imitation of a TPS using broken RPG mechanics. But the combat was never the draw anyway. ME1 has a better story, but ME2 still isn't bad. This is because it still had most of the original team still around. It wasn't until ME3 that you really started to see the bleed.

The gunfights are the closest thing it has to a good point. They took out the other stuff and it's not like the writing is any good. It's not a good RPG and it's not a good TPS.

There are student bars/restaurants for example. In my town some students rent a normal apartment and turn it into a restaurant. You can eat some good burgers, drink shit and have a talk with your friends or study. And honestly they make very good burgers. And sitting on a couch is imo very comfortable too.

Also here in Germany meat is very cheap. For only 8€ I can get enough meat do make hamburgers for the next 4-5 days.
