How about classical fallout thread? First one? Second one? Tactics? 1.5 Resurrection? Wasteland? Maybe FOnline?

How about classical fallout thread? First one? Second one? Tactics? 1.5 Resurrection? Wasteland? Maybe FOnline?

Or just CRPG thread general?

I think the entire genre is poisonous and caters exclusively to tabletop autists who can't play tabletop because they don't have friends.

Are there any other RPGs like the first two fallouts where killing large group of people is satisfying?
I fucking love planning and taking out every single slaver in the Den when I first arrive in it.
Played New Vegas hoping the revenge on Benny would be something similar but the Tops casino was a fucking joke with every enemy dying in two hits doing negligible damage even with Light armor and Benny doesn't even acknowledge the fact that you shot every single person in the casino. He fucking threatens you about his bodyguards which you shoot down right next to him.

If only you could destroy the environment in Tactics. Still enjoying what little I've played of it, though. The one partial battle I've done has taken forever on turn-based. Is the game really long?

True, who better than the type of fat faggot nerd that plays tabletop games to lecture people on being social?

2 is objectively better than 1

Infinity Engine games, Arcanum, DA:O and D:OS.

Tactics is fun as fuck until you hit St. Louis and then it goes from 8/10 to 2/10 really fucking fast.

Fallout 13 allowed? It's just as shit as the other FO games, but has SS13 autism to go along with it.

Infinity Engine games don't really have good or satisfying combat. They are just glorified waiting game and while I've already completed arcanum.

Depends on how you play them. Going solo as say, a mage, is both extremely difficult and satisfying.

I'm trying to play both F1 (unpure) and F2. Still early at both. Kill me. Still thinking to try out reloaded.

Feel free to, i guess.
I did wanted to play some F13, though i kept delaying it further and further. And by time i lost interest in SS13-related whatsoever.

Can I make a young cute pie and sell my body to get out of difficult situations in Fallout 2?

What?

There are a few times where you can do that, yes.

I unironically like tactics

Tell me this, /video games/. If Fallout 2 is so great, then why am I getting shat on by Geckos?
Do I really need points in Unarmed/Melee Combat just to get past this early part?

Have you tried using your spear?

I have 11% hit chance with melee weapons. Around 40% with unarmed.
I thought I would find a gun very fast. I did but its just a "shotgun"? It eats all my action points just to fire and I need to reload it after every shot.

If only the game gave you a minigun and power armour within the first 15 minutes like fallout 4.

You did get the melee and unarmed training in your village right?
What are your skills?

I don't mind the challenge.
It's just annoying how long combat takes.

Did you crank the combat speed up? Are you using the restoration patch?

Yes, but Geckos have a lot of health.
I went with Good Natured and my tag skills are Barter, Speech and Lockpick.

I didn't change any settings but I'm using the restoration patch.

Better than FO2 tbhafmmallamma.

Are you doing a pacifist run?

...

...

No, this is my first time playing Fallout 2 and I'm playing blind.
I would ignore those Geckos but I got a quest from the Wiskey guy and apparently I have to finish it before night otherwise it fails?
Thats the only problem really.

Then do, you can increase the combat speed.

Not picking any combat skill at the beggining isn't as big deal as it may seem, just grab Sulik in Klamath and he'll carry you through early game.

So you made a squishy non-combat oriented character and are wondering why you fail at a combat sidequest? Fo2 is an old game, as in, there are actually opportunities for you to fail at portions of it due to the choices you've made. But really, just steal anything in Klamath that isn't nailed down and buy out Sulik like suggested. Or maybe you can even diplomance to get him for free, been too long since I played to remember that for sure.

Here's a protip: get one combat skill to around 100, maybe a big higher than that. At level 12 pick Tag! park and tag that combat skill.

Either avoid the quest(let it fail), free sulik and let him do the damage or look for the alternate solution.

FUGG I didn't know that
Sounds pretty broken tbh

Grab a save game editor and max out all of your combat skills to 300% and your critical chance to 100%. If you hate being too good at combat, just tune your unarmored damage resistance to 95%

Fallout's combat is quite entertaining once you speed it up.

There was a time that I liked BG2 so much it became my favorite game.

I played BG2 right after getting bored from Dragon Age: Origins and was surprised at how good BG2 was. However, years later, I realized how wrong I was when I got to play Arcanum.

Arcanum and FO games were definitely the RPGs where your choice definitely mattered and should be really called RPGs. BG2 in comparisononly felt fresh the first time you play it.

BGs are made by teenagers for teenagers.

You guys have so much hate. I've played through FO 1+2, BG 1+2, IWD 1+2, ToEE and currently replying Wasteland 2. All of them are enjoyable, don't get h8erAids Holla Forums.

Btw, the only game so far that I have beat several times in the genre is BG1/2 and ToEE and don't have any desire to reply Fo1-2, when Wasteland is filling that feel.

Someone let ribbit again.

I'm waiting for the translation of Fallout of Nevada to be complete, as well as Brazil and the Frontier for NV to be released. It's good to be a FO fan these days with all the good mods coming out.
