How often have you heard it mentioned in those 13 years? The only time I saw people even mention it was when it popped up on Netflix and when the new season was announced. Until then it was like that Star Wars miniseries, fondly remembered by the kids that watched it but not sitting actively as something they're perpetually excited about and certainly not something to shit out garbage threads over.

Isaac Asimov's Foundation series would be PERFECT for an MMORPG. You have miniaturized nuclear technology, all kinds of super advanced space stuff, and a whole universe of crazy to build upon.

Also, Larry Niven's Ringworld series is just BEGGING to be made into a mature themed action rpg mmo with high scifi elements.
Think of it:
-pick from the various sentient species native to the ringworld…machine builders, corpse eaters, grass giants, the red people, vampires, ringworld kzinti, etc as well as the various other species fighting over the ringworld's resources, kzin, human, maybe puppeteers, and customize your own character with a pre-built origin.
-massive fights over various sections of the ringworld
-building a trade empire
-epic quests with all the weird hazards of the ringworld in your way.

OR, could go in the direction of a human who has recently become a protector, fighting with other protectors to keep the ringworld safe from an outside threat and from each other.

Samurai Jack already has two games.

Samurai Jack is one of the most boring cartoons ever, I thought that when it first aired 32 years ago, I think that now.

I guess you haven't seen the Left Behind games or the DDR and Guitar Hero knock-offs. Very few media actually take the Bible seriously and instead try to pass it off as a Disney styled fairy tales for Sunday School with the only edgy story being the crucifixion of Christ. I need to get back into reading the book myself, but Genesis alone has content that would make for a strong story. And, if they decided to adapt the rest of the Bible and play it straight, they'd easily have a competitor to the storytelling and content of things like Game of Thrones. And, you wouldn't have to change a damn thing.

Aye. Been wanting a dinosaur-ish survival horror game that wasn't dinocrisis. Sure have some dinos in it but throw in some other horrifying and weird ass creatures.

How about Parasite Eve?

It was pretty cool, really nice on the horrifying foe aspect, but it wound up being too much of an RPG. A creepy RPG, but still an RPG.

I think part of the problem is that making a survival horror where the foes are a threat but not cheesey or irritating is incredibly difficult.

Samurai Jack was really kind of lame , mainly because it was like watered down anime with Gendy Tartivoskys signature art style. I mean it looked nice, but it felt like a bunch of American animators watched some anime, some bruce lee movies, a Kurosawa film, and Blade Runner, and just threw it in a blender. I mean if you were watching Rurouni Kenshin which CN aired at the same time or maybe something like Ninja Scroll before that, Jack just felt tame and redundant by comparison. Didn't help that it wanted to be edgy but had to meet standards and practices applied to CNs own shows, hence why every fucking enemy Jack kills is a fucking robot that bled fucking oil. As a kid I even thought it was dumb considering Toonami was showing characters bleeding in DBZ and Adult Swim started showing anime more or less uncut at the same time.
