Theres another section in the desert where you have to use the triple jump to the over a huge wall to a secret area, or you have to take a long detour to get on ledge high enough to jump over

It's not hard but most peoples doesn't know you can do that, they just think "there's must be another way to get there". You can do that or you can save a lot of time and just do triple jump.

BUT, triple dash is essential though because there is no other way to jump over that huge gap in the coast area.

There are no precision landings in this game. That's what made the jumping pillars hard. If it was possible to orientate the character in a certain direction without physically moving the pillars would have been much less annoying to deal with.

Was having the same problem recently. As anons already suggested, putting two boxes (I use a couple of spare PS3 cases) under it will help but might not be end all solution. Sony's suggestion of turning the system off is also temporary. I googled it and found embed related which helped (apparently, if you send the system to Sony support, this is what they do).

I didn't even notice those machines fucking. This game has an amazing amount of tiny little details and hard to reach areas. Though the game itself is short just going through it again and noticing stuff you might have missed the first time or finding places you didn't know existed is worth multiple playthroughs.

Just started playing and I have to say that while the quests feel tiring at times especially in tandem with the sometimes empty world its still great on every other aspect

Protips: You have to run ahead of the parade and kill the machines before they reach it. The final stop gets a little harder when machine keep spawning

I beat it with two remaining. When is the quest available? I feel as if the attacking machines were higher level than the parade ones because i started later but i didnt pay attention to them so ime nit sure.

It's easy if you do it as 9S. Hacking stops time, so you can kill them all before they have a chance to get close to the parade.

Speaking of retarded quests, i literally spent 20 minutes running around that Goliath examination quest trying to figure out how to interact with it until i gave up and had to look up a guide.

Yeah. Unfortunately, the difficulty balance in this game is awful. I'm playing on Hard and most attacks kill me in one hit. Maybe this wouldn't be much of a problem if the game didn't spawn enemies 10-20 levels higher than you after some new event occurs.

That area has an insane gauntlet of enemies after you visit it some time later. I want to level up some more and see what stuff do I get from there.

Theres a big machine that looks like a typical enemy, but he can spawn the flying worm thing and other machine out of his butt. It's really dark and you dont notice it since he is way out in the back

i think you'll get one more shot to do some sidequests after you progress a bit, and even then in route B you'll get to hit a lot of your unfinished quests during that, and i was told that after completing later routes you get a chapter select mode to wrap up quests, but don't quote me on that, that's just what a friend told me who blitz'd the game

The checkpoints are really something else. The introduction stage is probably the worst, but there are still many other parts where you have to endure long runbacks.
Even worse is, if you die a second time without recovering your body (which in itself can be a pain in the dick because you're stuck in an animation that leaves you vulnerable), you permanently lose all the chips you had equipped.

These are very strange design choices in a beat 'em up/character action game.

Locked chests and doors can be opened in route B. The castle chests with the robot parts are for a side-quest.

It's really well done, I offered my save up after getting all the endings, it's oddly cathartic watching 80+ hours of game get deleted infront of you. It goes through all your map, quest, intel, weapon data etc and deletes it infront of you before showing all your saves being deleted.

The first one does something similar but honestly this one fits much better. I was really surprised they managed to one up the ending.
That being said you should still play the first one, it's very flawed but if you liked the world, characters and overall atmosphere of Automata you should like the first one as well.
Though you already got spoiled on the big twist by playing Automata.

When you sacrifice your data and let it be deleted from your hard drive, it exists in ending E online now, and will turn up when people accept help. If the player your data is helping lets your data get hit then it's gone for good after that. Can't help anyone else.

Thats really harsh, I probably got 5 players data destroyed during the end credit roll.

It's a lot more intense realising this as everyone's data is riding on your shoulders at the end basically.

What's with the Yorha Betrayal sub-quests? I've only found 2 of the androids near the Factory, and even then there were times where no one showed up in that location. Is this a bug?

I think its random, they show 3 area where "might" appear.. You only need to defeat them 2 times. They appear on your map, so if you don't see anybody, just come back later or check the other area.

Nier springs from infertile soil with little funding, and considering the "I want to be unique" aproach instead of "I want to be good", the series has a low substance ceiling.

Look at Hollow Knight. Other metroidvanias out there are better, but it follows that formula and tries it hardest to be good, by putting substance and the director clearing sweating and placing effort as much as possible. Thats why Hollow knight is excellent and worth playing.

I think that has its own problem though. I personally cant say Ive paid attention to squeenix specifically when it comes to this but in general we have seen what happens when publishers become to invested in their developers game's: they start worrying about profits and then try to make a checklist for what should be included in the game to attract a bigger audience and then the game loses what made it originally attractive to its user base. For Yoko Taro whose autistic creativity is his games major selling point this would be a huge disaster.

Cant say that this is the scenario that will happen if Taro is given more support from the execs but it isn't ruled out either. Also your post sounds like a fucking copy pasta but ill bite.

No. Most minimum specs on ports aren't really the minimum the game will run with and are instead whatever the lowest tier hardware they had on hand to test but don't expect stable 60 fps with minimums.

Only damage I can seem to do is hacking them but that's kind of boring, I don't seem to do much damage hacking them either.

It's on the map. Just move in the general direction of the marker and lead any nearby enemies away from it.

It's always under a bush and half clipping through the ground. Plus it looks the same as all the other bodies and you have to get it while being attacked by the enemies you're fighting.

I haven't encountered any clipping yet, but bushes shouldn't be too bad. Just snag the enemies with gravity or use a melee/ranged shield to cover yourself until you pick it up.

Is fighting and defeating Emil one of the side quests?

I bought rubber stick-on feet on amazon for like $3. 1/4" Size. Keeps the ps4 cool and reduces noise. Never had an issue and had the POS since launch.

I kill them with 2B, took about 10 minutes of continuous combo and constant stream of gatling gun and pod program. Literally hold the R1 for the entire fight. And no, theres no plug-in chip that can help you slice through solid gold. you only encounter them like 4 times and it really sad when they died

It might be a side quest you get in the bunker. The same thing was happening with me. Go to the bunker, hangar, then you get a quest to go in the factory.

You don't even have to attack it first, just hack it. Might have to be remote controlling another robot first though (that's how I did it).

I'd say the ending is pretty positive, relative to NieR and Drakengard's endings. YoRHa is destroyed, but it's data will inevitably be used to develop a new YoRHa. The machine network is trashed, but it can still probably salvage itself. The two are going to rebuild and continue their pointless war to defend their long-dead creators.

However, the protagonists are still alive, and they're now in a position to change things. They could eliminate the weakened machines and/or YoRHa. Or they could forge peace using the remaining Resistance and neutral machines. Or they could just end up killing each-other because 9S is still completely bonkers. It's not a perfect situation, but there is at least some hope, which is more than Yoko Taro's other endings have had.

The combination of hacking and the spear's hold attack make him more powerful than other characters in my opinion. It was definitely easier to beat Emil as him than as A2, that long range spear attack is just way too OP.

I haven't seen any direct connection between the aliens/robots and the Watchers, but there's some strong parallels between Adam and Eve and DoD3's One and One. Brother One started the Cult of the Watchers after his sister's death, and he ends up unknowingly becoming the source of the Red Eye disease in Midgard. The three-eyed twin symbol is a representation of One and One.

That place is pretty fun when you aren't severely underleveled. The suicide bots can fuck right off, though.
