Any meth addicts blizzdrones still playing this game?

Any meth addicts blizzdrones still playing this game?
I'm tempted to abandon hope of finding a 'good' guild, change characters to a main tank, and lead my own shitposting guild.

I bought legion. Instant regret. Game is trash. I have enough gold to resub for a month, which I might do when 7.2 comes out just so I can hate it anew.
There are no good guilds because the half decent guilds are just made by irl friends who don't need you. You, a friendless virgin, will be stuck with the shitty trade spammer guilds that are no better than pugs.
Reminder that blizzard is run by jews and the microtransactions will get worse and worse until it's no different from Rift/black desert.

I'm playing on Eysium and then on Crestfall. I plan to stop when the server reaches WotLK, so no.

You're absolutely right. For the meantime, I easily keep up my subscription through gold alone, and I don't have anything to lose otherwise. Surely I can't be the only one in the same situation.

I wish I had the drive to play private servers. I wasted so many of my teenage years on servers that eventually get shut down, I don't want to make the effort again.

The only way to succeed is to do everything yourself.

That was depressing. Are you telling me I shouldn't bother with the remnants of my guild, much less any guild around? Is the only real way to progress to do it alone?

The game is just there for Hearthstone card expansion pack ideas, and lots of degenerate LARPers and Middle-age people who can't find a hobby, really really fucking sad, the game is casualized, but forces people to be online forever to stay competitive farming e-peen legendaries.

I mean, there's always hardcore raiding, right?

no

What is there to do then, user?

OUT

You're better off joining Nihilist-kun here and driving me to endless despair and hopelessness.

realize that mmos will never be brought to their full potential until full-on sword art online-tier virtual reality happens
let it go. you'll be happier for it

pro tip: the only mmos that offer anything unique are the old ones. any newer or new ones are a couple of gimmicks sat on top of the same mechanics and gameplay they all have. delving into the weirder and older side of non-EQ-evolved mmos will reveal that the medium is heavily flawed. one of the main flaws being that you need the intense passion and creativity of small studios (which no longer exist in a proper form) with lots of money behind them (no longer possible) to make something unique
my favorite EQ-branch mmo is SWG. my favorite non-EQ-branch mmo was planetside.

what you're probably looking for is community. I suggest joining a gaming group that has some kind of vision behind it for some mil-sim game, like the black widow company

Forcing yourself to socialize to a bunch of old people larping as retards, it's gone bad, real bad.

WoW as an MMO is a fucking joke now, they killed the community by casualizing the game to get those subs by people who do not have the retention to do the same old shit every day, it's just a farmville game where you log in, try to get your chance at some orange colored jpeg, then log out.

What does meth feel like?

Hello OP
I still play this game. Toss me some sort of battlenet or in-game character so we can play together

play and find out

What realm, user? Or faction actually? I'll make a throwaway character for you to add there. My wish is that coincidentally a lot of Holla Forumsirgins play on my realm so I can start a heroic shitposting guild.

i'd play but i dont have any money and ive already made like 2 accounts previously through refer a friend and both tose people left me after like a week
im sad now

ruined my life 5 and 1/2 years ago 10/10

try FFXIV I've heard it's actually good

Alliance Alexstrasza, US realm.

Make a lvl one and go to a city and spam "WHERES THE user THAT PLAYS THIS GAME TOO?" or something and we can find each other

it's shit. I'm at level 50 and I can't believe people play this shit. You have to hop on the rolelr coaster story that goes super slow or you cannot level to level 60. You're FORCED to see the shitty story that takes itself so seriously or you can't play the game. I ditched it then. Black mage is just a boomkin with a proc for a dot.

Why do you play MMOs instead of ASSFAGGOTS?

okay

I'm starting a alexstrasza vs stormrage argument in stormwind, where you at?

anybody else hyped for the Hellground 2.4.3 relaunch this sunday?

I don't know what that is.

The thing that truly killed my enjoyment for the game was when I suddenly realized I could actually be improving myself rather than playing a dull game I was only really drawn into because other friends were.
Legion was like that final fling with your ex where you know it's basically over but fuck it, feed the need and forget about things for a bit. But the small grievances kept adding up, whether it be the RNG attached to literally everything (cooking recipes, legendary drops, your keystone, titan/warforging gear, even some artifact appearances), the retarded balance decisions on blizzard's part or just me finally maturing…it was fun for like the first month and half and then the month I came back for a final attempt at enjoyment in the game but it just is so…not fun anymore.
One of the biggest issues for me was that everything feels tied to just grinding now. Grind for artifact power, grind keystones for gear, grind world quests for caches, grind raids with retards. Like in my opening paragraph, I had a moment where I could put the literal hours to better use working on learning to draw or some other shit.

a fresh blizz like burning crusade private server with 2x XP gains. they apparently have good scripting for instances (this means the dungeons act as they should)

Might be cool, as I've stated before however I don't think I could ever do another private server unless it was WotLK with Holla Forums

oh shit im sorry

Im online now.

They're planning on tackling that issue in the big revamp in the next expansion pack.

The game forces you to be 24/7 and you know how Blizzard mastered the addictive lure of their games to make you go on a quest to find "Fun"

jesus legion was terrible. i quit right after BC came out and only came back right before cataclysm (which i actually liked), but after warlords i was genuinely disgusted. even MoP had some neat zones at least. i picked up legion since all the hype around it was "play wow like it used to be!!!!!11" and was absolutely flabbergasted at how fucking brutally bad it was
>retarded story that starts strong (holy fuck did the horde just sell out the alliance big style during a critical battle against ? could this possibly be the beginning of a slide back into cold war, then total war? oh wait lol no we had a good reason to sell you out we're good now right) and just ends up being the same old "an ancient evil threatens azeroth, team up to kill it" bullshit

it's weird, because they openly admit warlords sucked and that they wanted to get away from how shitty it was, but this expansion just wildly swung away from "nothing to do" to "nothing good to do"

If thats the case I might give it a try.

Check the FF14 general, you might want to either wait for the expansion pack or start progressing the story to catch up, they kinda gate things like that, and get the Stream version, it's less of a hassle to work on your sub, there's a free trial too, and ask in the thread about the Free Companies (Guilds)

maybe if that server didn't have arenas, flying mounts, post 2.1 badge rewards, MgT's upscaled loot, most of the gold from daily quests, welfare PvP epics, BoE nether vortexes/hearts of darkness/sun mote craftable items, stormherald's stun proc, cheat death, or cloak of shadows, or more importantly x2 xp, then Ii might be interested

i like the gear progression in vanilla better; in TBC you can I think just skip tier 4 entirely except gruul's lair(for the trinket) because theres so many other sources of epics, even in 2.1.0

at least in vanilla theres barely any epics you can get without raiding compared to TBC, and by the time you're in pre-raid BiS(given content that existed before BWL) you'll have maybe 3 epics on you at the very most, but usually none, compared to stuff like an epic dropping from the final boss in every heroic and rep rewards being epic and BoJ rewards and the level 70 BoE epics and crafted epics and PvP epics on top of those

...

The fucking got a massive fucking downgrade, instead of making classes unique they managed to make them all play them same by removing a shit ton of skills, glyphs, and talents. All of them are button classes. I actually fucking downloaded it and got one month with gold I had left over only to log in my DK and see presences removed and my bars emptier than a poorfags fridge, even after setting my shit up I still had room in my bars, they same story with my druid, mage and warrior. And the removal of glyphs killed any uniqueness a class had and reduced them to one glyph active at one time. Why in gods name do they introduce something in one expansion and remove it in another? They could have just left 3 minor glyphs active but now you can only have one active.

I haven't bothered to see what else they fucking did because that was more than enough for me to unistall, thank god I didn't buy legion.

I'm going through this right now. I let my sub time run out, but my friends are still playing. They're rerolling on a new server to try and find fun in a fresh start, but I already know how that's gonna turn out. I got my small moment of fun in a month before I hit the giant time limited grind wall. Classes aren't unique enough from each other to draw me in, and the community isn't fun to be part of. I don't mind hanging out online with friends, but it feels like a mindless haze. We could be going out to arcades or playing couch co-op games. Instead they're passing up free days to go do more world quests or work on alts.

Apparently I'm the casul scum for wanting to play fighting games and run and gun shooters with friends instead of grind endlessly for more crap.

They got me with WoD after skipping out after LK, fucking around on Catalyst for the redo of the world.

It reminds me more of maple story then anything else now, glorfied chat client that has a game attached to it. Great for your middle aged players who don't give a fuck about the finer details of the game.

At least they keep shapeshifting for druids, right?

...

there will never be enough gnome porn

Get gud and embrace the grind.

pandaria was the last half-decent wow expansion

That's a weird way to spell goblin or troll.

go away marche

So, anyone know how's subscribers situation on this, since Blizzard stopped publishing subs number? Every day I pray both WoW and Blizzard ends up killed, unlikely as it is.

Yeah, but for some reason they removed the bipedal cat form they added in wod. Feral is absolutely useless according to the people that still play. Specialization means shit now as you can now switch between specs anytime and it requires nothing.

Classes feel more gutted than before.

Sorry, what?

The WHAT now? What purpose did it serve and what did it look like, what was the point?

Feral talent that was used for pvp, able to cast non damaging spells without changing form

It was pretty gay to be honest. Also it was obvious they removed it so they didn't have to put more effort in with feral artifact.

At least we can all agree that the Horde was just a thinly veiled replacement for niggers.

And like clockwork, hardcore gamers immediately flocked to black cock.

i guess that would make blood elves sweden/germany

i stopped in wotlk, tried the game again in cata and it was garbage then tried it again in draenor it was still bad then in legion and it's surprisingly fun. there's so much shit you can do and several ways to grief players. i'm actually having fun and i didn't think wow could ever do that for me again. that said it's slowly starting to wear off but it kept me hooked for a few months and i don't feel like i've just gotten hooked to a kill, grind, repeat to achieve some goal formula. there was a bit of that but mostly it feels like i've just been doing the things i wanted to do.

This is a meme generally perpetuated by ferals assblasted that they don't top the meters. Feral AoE is pretty shit though.

I played at the end of Warlords, and I was surprised because everyone was telling me how happy they were because they finally had some real content and stuff, but when I was playing it, it seemed like it was just enough content for a first patch, minus the raids which i avoided due to the LFR cancer.

It's not nostalgia, Vanilla is and was; simply the best iteration of WoW to ever come about.

Because WoW is so starved for things to do that aren't raiding even 1 new grind is viewed as a miraculous, wonderful change.

agreed but fuck making another new toon on another new server that will die within a year as well. put so much time into my nost toons just to have 'em go "lol we wanna suck blizz cock so DELETED"

Yes.

The thing about Warlords was that, yes, it had lots of content- it's just that almost all of that content was stuff you'd only do once, and the rest was an even more tedious grind than usual.
Of course, that was the least of the problems Warlords had.

Personally, I'd prefer to have Legion, just with a more Vanilla-like approach to class design. Blizzard's made plenty of mechanical improvements over the years, it's just that the terrible decisions they've also made completely offset them.

...

I have to agree, as much as I liked Vanilla, there are a large amount of changes that I did actually like.

On Emerald Dream there's a guild called , a Horde white nationalist guild.

I came across a few people from that guild, it makes me want to level my monk on Emerald Dream just to join it. Just kidding, I'm not a meme lord.

...

We used to be called , but we got it namechanged 9 times, and I was suspended each time, last time was a month.

Everyday we go around in trade and LFG chat preaching truth while being good at the game.

You the guildmaster or something? I'm about to make similar guild on Alliance.

Yea, I am the guildmaster.

Wew, is your guild populated by normalfags?

HAHAHA no. It's populated by white nationalists.

Sounds neat user. I think I'm going to do the same, on alliance, on a different realm.

It's true. Wrath and even TBC are only "good" from the perspective of a player that hit max level in the prior expansions while they were live. Their expansions never really expanded the world, just stacked a bunch of increasingly contextless content at the end of the level curve.

Wouldn't it make more sense for white nationalists to play alliance?

I mean, the alliance are the good guys.

Has the Horde stopped being dindus yet?

.>>12074962
On the one hand, you're right, although Alliance are a little cucked. On the other, we get to savagely trigger people every day.

Nicely done user. If you're a true white nationalist you go alliance human, not fucking dindu nuffin horde

I just went looking to see if I wanted to play the new expansion for a bit before the games i want to play come out.

$49.99?!?!

I can get Ghost Recon Wildlands cheaper than that, and thats even before a one month sub!

What a bunch of idiots.

If you have an account login there is probably a token or whatever gay shit to download it free. That being said don't be a faggot

...

But you are playing it with every edgy retard who didnt played vanilla back in the day

t. I played vanilla back in the day, i will never play that shit again, if you didnt played the game in 2007, you must kill yourself.

Lets make a shitposters guild

Whatever happened to that meme?

There's faction cross talk in WoW now?

you can make both a horde and alliance character on the same server. that last guy made an alliance toon just to whisper me. first two screenshots happened in a pvp zone where you can flag yourself and essentially make it a you against the world scenario.

You never had this happen to you?

Yeah, just go alliance side tichondrius.

I remember not being able to make an alt on the other faction.

You remember better times, my friend.

I had this happen in TBC, let that sink in.

I think my favorite WoW player justification is that they had to make the game casual as shit to draw in new people, yet the only people who still play this game are 30+ year old neckbeards that have been playing for years because they lack self-control.

I played the first patch/raid. I primarily did questing and more raiding than anything else, but holy shit what a chore. The dungeons are uninteresting with recycled mechanics, raids are no more than
with hardly anymore skill involved into it.

Worst of all, questing, which was arguably my favorite part about WoW, is completely dead. The questing tries to narrate a story rather than each trying to be its own adventure and have some depth to it. Once again, its not much more than
And holy shit what a drag it is. Questing in Legion feels more like a chore than it is a fun time.

Game ain't fun anymore folks, hasn't been for a long time.

...

To be fair, that quest structure has been omnipresent since Cata, and even WotLK to a lesser extent. At least Blizz starting implementing side plots after Cata, rather than every quest in the zone being part of the same linear story. As far as the "quest lines telling zone-wide stories" thing goes, Blizzard has more or less figured out the formula, although I do really miss the old-style quests that were more mini-plots in themselves, a la Vanilla and TBC to a lesser extent.

And in terms of raiding, it feels like the type of skill required has shifted. Tanks went from primarily managing threat to primarily mitigating damage through good usage of defensive abilities. Healers are still worried about mana management and healing throughput, but no longer have to worry about stuff like using lower-ranked spells to save mana. DPS don't really have to worry about threat anymore, and focus fully on optimizing their damage through rotations that are generally more active than early WoW's, while, of course, not standing in X. And one can't forget that part of early WoW raiding was organizing group comps for optimal buff usage. As someone who mostly mained feral since vanilla, raiding feels much more intensive than it did back then.

Polite sage for probably ded thread.
