Don't bother, just buy and play Fallout 4 instead.

Actually fucking off yourself

Please Todd, that's enough

This is a graphics mods guide. If you're not interested in improving graphics just follow the guides until it gets to specific texture/mesh mods. Basically you want Morrowind Code Patch, the .exe opitimizer, the 4GB patch, and potentially MGEXE if you're looking for distant lands without fog if you're ONLY looking for a "vanilla" experience. The graphics mods in this guide are great though and you should seriously consider installing them as well. If you're not interested in installing all the patches and .exe mods then consider OpenMW as it's feature complete (basically) and runs great on modern systems. If you're more used to Oblivion/Shitrim I recommend the mod Run Like The Wind so you you can move faster than a slug. Other than that check out the Morrowind Mod History website and install whatever looks interesting to you.

Also Morrowind thread because fuck it?

We have a QTDDTOT thread up right now, you know…

Sweet a Morrowind thread.

You're both AAA cockgobbling fags.

...

...

Interesting, thanks for the drop. Is there any sort of giga nigga file I can use to just install all of this shit at once? I'm a lazy fuck.

So you're like all those libcucks last year that just assumed Hillary would win

If nobody votes for good games then good games won't get made.

Buy bad game, get more bad game. Buy good game, get more good game.

Don't get politics involved with this. That'll just derail the thread and you'll get ad hominem'd to death.

Play something actually good, like Wizardries or M&Ms, not this garbage.

to add on to , you'll want the Morrowind Patch Project, and, if you're installing the expansions (you should), delayedDBattack and Solstheim Rumours Fix.

Better Bodies, Better Heads, Better Clothes
New Argonian/Khajiit Bodies if you want to play them and keep in line with the other races' Better Bodies.
You might want Graphic Herbalism, it changes picking ingredients to being just a click rather than opening plants like a chest.
There's Morrowind Overhaul and Morrowind Graphics Extender. I think Overhaul is better, but I don't really use either, so maybe another user can give their opinion.
Tamriel Rebuilt adds large portions of the mainland to the game. Some areas are more complete and polished than others.
There's some other ones that update textures like Darknut's various mods for armour and weapons.
You should also consider using OpenMW.

This too.

They're the garbage. World design is so generic. Morrowind has better lore, exploration, and game breaking character customization.

Better Bodies, Better Heads and Better Beasts, Unofficial Patches, and Children of Morrowind. That'll be a solid start. You'll probably want a Dark Brotherhood encounter delayer, a magicka regen mod, and something to change the levelling system, but you should probably try playing the game so you understand why those bits are jank and how you want them fixed for you.

If you're not using your specialist weapon or watching your stamina levels, don't bitch about MISS.

Do Thieves Guild quests early, since it's possible to steal something, pawn it off, and then get a quest to steal it, and that can be inconvenient.

Download the Draenei race mod, then the futanari mod, then the sex mod on loverslab, then the mod for the succubbus futa slave.

Easy to spot a faggot who has no idea what he's talking about.
Enjoy your FF7 of the west.

don't do it user, it's not good for your health

Oh, and ignore everyone who recommends Better Heads. It sucks. Mackom's mods are much more faithful to the original heads.

It's far more open ended than FF7.

Can you do this?

Any better bodies mod that doesn't clip through the clothes.

?

That shit is fantastic, but it's really fucking unintuitive in a lot of places.

Point

Your head

Both were made by dying companies, both are overrated garbage, both are "babby's first" of their genre.
I can fly all the fucking time.
Can you nuke entire towns and maps, including dragons and other shit?

I hope you're ready for

because RNG should obviously rape you in a first-person rpg.

I don't think so, you need to get clothes mods that fix it.

With a weapon skill around 30-40 and a reasonable amount of fatigue you won't miss.

Morrowind stripped everything good from Daggerfall and gave us Lyin Todd

Oh yeah, we got hardcore RPG gamer here, I bet he got laid a lot.

If you can tinker around with spellmaking, sure. There are magnitude, duration, and area.

RNG is far more forgiving in real time games tbh. Still better than how Fallout does it.

What kind of normalfag-tier retort is this?

Daggerfall wasn't that good mang. Sure it's a huge game, but I don't like the level scaling. Morrowind is far more lax about your character's leveling, and more open ended in general.

False
False
True
Subjective
"muh graphics"
As opposed to what? Morrowind's garbage system?
"I hate quests"
Unless the RNG dungeon builder fucks you you absolutely can.

Your entire post is "I've never played Daggerfall".

Let me guess, a Gothic fan.

You have to be seriously fucking braindead to not realize he was joking.

Consider running OpenMW. You won't be able to use fan patched graphics extenders (and OpenMW doesn't have things like distant land implemented natively yet, unless you count just increasing the amount of the game world that can be loaded at once), but, conversely, you won't have to jump through hoops getting fan patches for things like engine bug fixes and FOV adjustment working.

No need to use your sick ribbit-fu just because you're assblasted that your garbo "rpg" doesn't get the recognition you think it deserves.
And yeah, there were much better rpgs before and after morrowalk, this isn't a secret.
Tbh you're retarded. In Fallout even if you miss a 95% shot you see your character miss. In morrowalk even if you swing and see your weapon connect the game can still decide "naw, that was a miss". Such a great game design.

Gothic is one of many rpgs with open world that are better than morrowind so guilty I guess.

I thought there wasn't anything that would legitimately anger me today. But no, that post alone was enough. You are worse than a jew.

Board is filled with people whose first "rpg experience" was morrowind and bladder's gate 2.
These are dark times.

True for human enemies.

The probability of item discovery is tied to your level.

We're comparing this to morrowind. Also, forgettable NPC's.

Alright, that's subjective.

At least you can use WASD to aim your attacks instead of flailing your mouse around like a retard.

Random quest isn't exactly a bad thing, especially in a huge game like Daggerfall. I can accept it but there are people who can't.

It's the unforgiving layout of the dungeon and same looking walls that get you lost all the time. The map also has limited view range, making it difficult to go back once you're too far away from the entrance. It's even harder than Arena, which is simpler due to it's 2 dimensional layout. The verticality of Daggerfall's dungeons is insane.

I love morrowind mainly for the world design and open endedness, not the RPG mechanics. I've played other RPG's such as Ultima 7 and Wizardry 8, and they don't really deliver. In fact, I'm not an RPG fan, but Morrowind has a lot more qualities than just being an RPG game.

And there's nothing you can do about it when you see them fail, you need to wait for the next turn. I'm not talking about visuals, but immediate mitigation.

Is this some kind of sperg rage?

Maybe that'd mean something (besides 'muh lore') if it was a good rpg playing game.

It's objectively a good RPG alright, even if the combat aspect isn't particularly well made. However I appreciate it for it's immersion and treatment of open endedness more than the RPG aspect. And lore does matter in an open ended game, I love how Morrowind's lore is expressed into an image. The architecture of the buildings, city layouts, landscape, the various races, Morrowind is one of those games that deliver incredible and vivid imagery.

Okay "I'm not an RPG fan" :)

that sure worked out for the industry, didn't it?

nude mods

Literally a retard

Nigger, we are the few with good taste. We are the rich white men who could only vote if we had land. Now the average nigger has an equal vote. You're basically implying that you're a fucking retard who buys shit games.

Oh, okay, you're a different guy.
I'll use the same amount of arguments you used for
It's objectively a shit rpg.

Your opinion is wrong and you disproved nothing

Why is nobody checking any of these digits?

All that is going to do is fund Bethesda latest cancer.

Your face is wrong and you're a double liberal.

Well, why?

Because you can become a jack of all trades almost instantly, can train almost any magic school to 100 in a fucking bedroom by making a shit custom spell, combat tries to put the player in first person but the rolls fuck it up, the amount of choices that actually have some consequences can be counted on one mutilated hand.

hmmm, interdasting

4 characters vs one, fuccboi

If you're creative, that's how.

Being able to customize spells that far makes it good.

So it's an RPG.

What is this "choices and consequences" meme? RPG is about abstraction, which is reducing events into ideas, not making choices.

You kill two gods as part of the storyline in the game and DLC, but making yourself even more powerful is just ridiculous somehow.
You've still proven exactly nothing faggot.

No, you don't have to be creative at all. You can just look this shit up.
Missing the point on purpose, are we? Becoming a master of magic schools in a bedroom is how you play a role of a powerful magician I guess?
Rolls being there doesn't make it an rpg.
Oh, I see. What a waste of time.

You mean on the internet? That's like cheating. Your loss.

Well, it's magic.

You're right, but you have to depend yourself on stats rather than your own motoric skills in making accurate attacks, therefore an abstraction of an event.

Alright then. Shoo, go away.

I win

...

I really liked this watercolor mod and, if I remember right, Morrowind Rebirth. OP might want to check those out, though they are not compatible with mods that change meshes.

Also grab that Sotha Sil mod.

My Morrowind is mostly vanilla, i think it has the unofficial patch though. The graphics mods are shit thought, the vanilla style looks better to me.

Make sure to get Tamriel rebuilt

Trainwiz
Trainwiz
Trainwiz

Why is there no Blacklight in TR? I thought the town was older than TES3s setting?

Because he is an autist trying to derail a thread, nice dubs by the way.

You don't need any mods besides the unofficial bug fix patches and MGE.

...

Those are the only truly essential mods. Enjoy.

aquire skill

The DB aren't hard, but they give you early money too easily.

"Vote with your wallet" is just a figure of you speech, you colossal fucking retards.

You're a retard. The point of the mod is to avoid giving the player an incredibly useful set of armor, because they'll use/sell it to get too rich or powerful too early.

Or a good light armor set.
That's fair, most people I see recommending the mod say it's because you can't beat the db assassin at a low level.

Get the fuck out, you clearly don't like RPGs.

OpenMW and nothing else. Casuals think the fatigue hitting shit is bad, but just carry some fatigue potions with you and use movement sparingly in combat. It's actually really fun; the world is a bit punishing at first, but you'll rise up and become strong enough to stand to things on your own with enough time. I seriously doubt the people who complain about the speed and RNG have played on a save for more than 6 hours.

Seriously though bro; get OpenMW and play vanilla with the expacs. It's the best way, I feel.

But there is if I remember right. But it's not blacklight, but something in dunmeri

Mandul?
tamrielrebuilt.uesp.net/trmap/

Well they might be annoying if you're injured and they show up.

He only appear after you've slept, so you should be fully healed for the attack.
He's not a pushover, but if you know what you're doing, it shouldn't be too hard to defend yourself.

*appears
Kill me.

...

...

So is everyone who plays this shitty game a Holla Forums tumblr-tier nostalgia nigger?

Yes. Guess you've got no choice but to leave the thread now.

Good to know nothing has changed. Enjoy your spoiled milk.

...

And access to Mournhold at level 1, where you can get the Fortify Skill spell effect and then break the game.

I would pay money to take money away from Bethesda.

Why didn't Vivec build a standard wall instead of a Ghostfence that requires his full concentration to maintain?

When has a standard wall ever stopped a ghost

I'll be honest, I personally use a mod to increase the game's overall speed.
fucking MWRB nerfed it and made the game slower, even with the BoBS, I'm barely approaching vanilla speed 100

I know you bathedadrones are retarded but come the fuck on, Daggerfall would be the proper prequel to Sky rim both from release order and mechanics.

please post more Morrowind OC/meme's
I enjoy havin a giggle.

did he died

Probably shopped.

Learn to recognize bait.

OK.

...

...

...

...

That's wrong. If you're injured and you sleep,if an assassin shows up you won't be healed when you wake.

It's been a long time since I got attacked by the DB, famalam. I thought they only showed up after your sleepytime was over.

That guide's too fuckin long, wouldn't it be better to simply use Ornitocopter's Morrowind Overhaul and call it a day?

A lot of people don't like MGSO. Many of the textures it uses are relatively old and there're better ones out there, and some of the textures it adds look too different from the vanilla ones. The pastebin guide results in, in my opinion, the best looking Morrowind. However, there's nothing stopping a new player from using MGSO if they like the look of the screenshots, it's a matter of personal taste. Granted, MGSO is much easier to install.

...

Morrowind Code Patch is the only thing you really need. Well, even that is mandatory but it does have some functions that really makes the game more enjoyable.

If you fags are ever pirating GOTY morrowind, make sure the stuff you're downloading doesn't have the steamworks protection (comes with a 'cracked' .exe or someshit), steamworks causes the morrowind code patch to get fucked up and you won't be able to play the game because of a 5:0000065434 error which is related to steam.

To each their own, I figured out MGSO was far easier than the shitton of mods the 2016 guide suggest. I did get a few mods from that one though (and some of the more functional mods like code patch & such which are outdated if you install them through MGSO)
Also MGSO's has several errors that have been corrected but don't appear neither on the nexus or ornitocopter's page:
forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1476401-relz-morrowind-overhaul-sounds-graphics-30-thread-4/

If anyone's using it, make sure to install the fixes as well in order to avoid the dreaded yellow triangles of [!]

Just pirate the GOG version of the GOTY edition.

That's what I'm doing right now.

Well even the Trump Wall ghostfence did jack shit, since all Dagoth Ur had to do was dig a tunnel from Red Mountain to Kogoruhn.

Why was this thread censored? What the fuck is happening?

What are you talking about? I haven't seen any censorship.

A while back I was playing heavily modded Morrowind and came across this.

My first reaction would normally be to shit on something like this, but I'd rather try to actually think about it. Was Dunmeri society on Vvardenfell explicitly patriarchal? Between Almalexia and Barenziah, they definitely had females in positions of power.

God women are fucking cancer.

Its the "are you the new serving girl" generic dialogue right before the patriarchy rant that really makes it work.

This is a Telvanni Master as well, of which there are two females. In the original game her character just hated men outright, which is fine, but I guess some modder tried to turn her into some kind of feminist. I also love how the first thing she asks is if I'm the new serving girl, while at this point I'm the Archmagister.

better bodies

Spears, Mysticism, and Alteration are amazing.
You can literally break the game with Alchemy.
You can literally do anything else you want.

The racist Dunmer have the coolest house though…

That's in base Morrowind, she also explicitly bans males from living in her city. There's a quest given by the Mage's guild to kill all the Telvanni councilors, and she's one of them. Enjoy ridding Vvardenfell of the lesbian matriarch legally.

While she was indeed a misandrist in the base game, this particular bit of shitty feminist inspired dialogue is added by the LGNPC Tel Mora mod.

Either way, slay and filet.

Is that new? I don't recall reading such feminazi bullshit from Dratha, other than her usual vanilla ramblings.

Using 1.30 of the mod and I made this install at least a year or two ago. Did you have a female character? Her dialogue is much shorter and ruder for men, I think.

It was a sand nigger named "PersianPaladin", he was the only one who worked on Tel Mora.
lgnpc.org/members

Their credit list is shit on that site so it might not be him that wrote this in particular though:
lgnpc.org/mod-tel-mora

Either way, this is why I don't do TES mods. The community is full of faggots.

No mods, no expansions.

Nah, I haven't played the game in ages, maybe it was there back then, I simply can't recall.

More like John "The Dickless" Faggett

Gothic.

To be honest Dratha was senile and autistic.
This is more of a mock on the 'stronk wímin".

This reads like a mockery that only the Holla Forums autists on Holla Forums could miss

Baan Malur

My issue was more that it kinda ruins verisimilitude to turn her into a generic modern feminist ideologue, especially considering the Telvanni philosophy. It's just bad writing.

I looked up this word and don't see how it applies in this context (apparent truth?), would you care to elaborate?

The way I'm using it basically means believability within the confines of the universe as set by the authors. In this case, if I see a character in Morrowind saying things from the perspective of a modern person, it breaks my ability to suspend my disbelief and takes me out of the setting.

I'd normally call that "internal consistency," is there a reason why you'd use verisimilitude instead?

Because I know the word, it describes what I want to say, and I don't know the phrase "internal consistency".

If you're thinking of calling him a big boy for using big complicated words, you can, but I wouldn't advise it. Verisimlitude has started popping up on the internet after a certain youtuber userd it in a vid explaining why Morrowind is GOAT and Oblivion SHIT. That was something like 3 years ago and now I find the word used regularly everywhere, not only for TES and in vidya. I can't prove it started with him, though.

Well, I can tell you I didn't pick it up from any Youtuber, don't watch any. I learned it in university a couple of years before Morrowind was released. Does it really seem that pretentious to you to use such a word?

Ok, i belive you. But if im understand the situation, this wasn't in the game, but putted by some faggot as an improvement. I hope you blame this on that faggot…

Follow along, son. I'm not angry, just amused and I already said:

No, it's okay. I'm just saying when I noticed it being used. Anyway, my point is that it's back in the everyday vocabulary by now. At least online. I wouldn't know irl, I don't live in the anglosphere.

Fair enough, I have never heard that word before but I've heard internal consistency a lot. What it means is when everything that happens in a world is consistent with its established rules then it has internal consistency. There can be magic and dragons and shit that isn't "realistic" but having magic might be part of a setting's rules, what isn't a part of its rules is something like why a character born in a totally different society would embody values from our society like the example we were talking about. Morrowind can have all the magic and CHIM that it wants but even CHIM doesn't break internal consistency, the only things that do that are the things that make us realize that it is a video game and not an actual setting.

Is that a natural formed cove?

I guess it's as natural as the giant mushrooms and haricot in the vanilla Morrowind…
Which mean, the dunmers could have fucked it up with magic…

From a geological standpoint, no. But it's a game set in another universe, so anything's possible like said.

Poe's Law, user

None, you pleb.

the main issue is that my mouse won't show up, so I can't click 'yes' or 'no'.

This is at the very beginning of the game, right after the cutscene. I have MGSO installed, but nothing else. Anyway for this to be fixed? Like is there a mouse hardware option or something so that the mouse is always enabled?

forgot image

Seems like a problem with MGE XE, rerun distant land EVERY TIME you install a new mod. Also make sure all those utilities (MGE, Code patch and forgot what else) are up to date since MGSO is a bit outdate by itself. Also make sure you've got this>>12021071

World Mesh is currently building, but the first suggestion didn't work. (As in, I immediately went through the spiel of distant land gen and tested the game. Same exact issue.)
However, I updated several components, and now I am, as previously stated, building the mesh again.

Use the code patch for fixing engine bugs that corrupt saves/cause constant CTDs and then use MGE XE to run the game at a gud resolution. That's all you need if you don't want to be a FUCKING GOD DAMN N'WAH WHO SHOULD FUCKING DIE on round one.

It worked.
Saved for future posterity.
What I did, was updated MGEXEgui, and code patch. I also added a daedric armor fix and the animated containers patch.
Finally, I also got the mgso patch listed at

pic related

Oh, one additional suggestion. Use the 4gig .exe patch if you have a remotely currently rig before you apply the code patch.

Bethesda has never made a good game.

smh but please kys

...

How shit is the mod Mountainous Red Mountain?

It's not shit, it's all but necessary to make Red Mountain remotely believable. The problems start when you realize that in order to do that, you have to create so many mod conflicts that it will be the only thing remotely believable in your modded install unless you do heavy mod merging and make patches out the ass. I'm hoping that as the mod ages, it will become more supported/similar ideas will be implemented into compilations that are generally used enough that it will be less of a headache.

Yeah, I just noticed that. That's the reason I asked, it's a nice idea with a shitty implementation.
Even with the compatibility patch for Darknut's Greater Dwemer Ruins I'm getting misplaced entrances and such; I think I'm gonna ditch that one for just GDR and its insta-kill traps.

How about that Julan Ashlander Companion mod, is it any good? I don't see it recommended anywhere.

fucking hell, here too?

It looks okay, never played it before.

How shit is Morrowind Rebirth?

With those graphics?

To be honest morrowind has a lot of stupid autistic rants. Ask a peasant about who he is and he will rant abot peasant shit.
