Wasn't this show straight up canceled at one point despite being huge, because LOL, and the story never got told to the end?

It was cancelled at the end of season 2 by Disney because it wasn't going the direction they wanted it to, but ABC brought it and immediately removed all the writers from seasons 1 and 2 with completely new ones for season 3, resulting in the show and it's plot changing quite a bit and the rating's tanked as a result.

It's a shame that Disney owns it. They'll never sell it and their licensing fees took a hike. There was a comic by Slave Labor Graphics that ignored the third season (Greg Weisman himself wrote it, so it's held as the actual canonical continuation over the 3rd season of the show) which was bretty gud. But Slave Labor Graphics couldn't afford to keep purchasing the license for the brand because Disney are kikes and so they had to drop it.
