Hey, 'maricon! show me some good movie-based games, man. I'll start with my own, where the world really is mine, this time.

wanted - weapon of fate

The holy trinity

Batman.

adventures of batman and robin exists

yeah wanted was good.

That and Star Wars are the only movie franchises I can think of that churned out some truly great games.

god that game is great. top tier NES music too

Needs a bit more weapon variety, but other than that it's a perfectly good game. The HUD-less interface reminds me of Metro, only this game is a lot better.

It's based on the Spiderman movie, so it's okay

This was oddly fun. Guns were shit but melee you could throw enemies around with ragdoll physics (not as common at the time), smash em' through windows, fall from balconies. I remember having a blast with a ragdoll-button cheat on gamecube. Too bad it never got a pc release.

Might emulate.

Let's be honest, that's not even a real batman game. They just hired some japs to make random ass dark sci-fi action platformer and then jast slapped batman sprite on it.
It turned out the game is fucking amazing, no question, but the only batman thing in it is batman himself.

I dunno why people love that game, it was basically inferior contra clone with batman and robin skin on it. If anything Batman Returns is way better, and is actually a batman game through and through.

This game is great. I recomend anybody to get this game. Each section fo the game is different, and fighting as kong is balling.

khurazee firearms idea movie was made good game

...

King Kong was basically like the Jurassic Park game we never had.

If it's based on animu does it count?
Because this is the best boxing game I have ever personally played and I have played most of them. It does footwork, head movement, blocking, stamina, etc. etc. etc. better than any EA game could ever dream of. The gameplay is so unique and good that it's a damn shame that the series is just completely forgotten.

No shit. It's made by the same guy who created Rayman and BG&E.

We did have it though, although really unfinished. I wish someone would remake Trespasser, even unity is okay.

Rango. I played the ps3 version. The visual language communicated game elements clearly and precisely, and then went crazy for the last few levels.

you know what i mean. a jurassic park similar to king kong would be pristine.

I remember that one, great game and it was so well optimized that it ran extremely well on my shitty toaster back in the day.

LotR games were pretty nice. The Hobbit game was alright, but technically that was based on the book before the movie came out.

As a kid who hadn't read The Hobbit or LotR, I got confused and thought The Hobbit was a knock off of LotR.

Nigger, i didn't know that. All i know is that game was balling. Shit dog

Ubisoft montpellier is still a pretty sure bet.

...

I want to play this now.

the Evil dead games are ok 1st ones ehh but the res are great.

this honestly has my vote for best game of that year. fuck it was fun, and whoever was in charge of the vehicle part of the game really knew his shit

...

As fun as Scarface TWIY was it kinda shit all over the film's plot/themes in order to build the basis of a game.

The whole self-destructive tragedy of Montana is cast aside so he can act like a dick to everyone and take over Miami without consequence.

I guess there was no other way to do it, but god it made the story read like a bad fanfic.

What I liked best is that in the plot of the game the PC tried to prove his innocence after the precogs made it seem like he would commit murder, but it all goes through the window if you actually make him commit murder by chucking people off of buildings.

Star Trek had a few good games. Elite Squad I and II, Bridge Commander are pretty fun, and I remember enjoying Away Team.

Still find it funny the main menu has a DLC option but they never released any for it. Fun game, but they let it die because they fucked up and released it the day before MGSV

I legit love this game. A pretty good 3D platformer with ok combat and exploration, and fun puzzle elements. Toy Story 2 is a good spiritual sequel that plays very much the same, but the puzzle elements are sharply toned down, and I feel that makes it less fun overall. One of the best parts of A Bug's Life was knowing how to use your seeds to find new seeds and upgrades so you could get everything in the level.

Also, the music and graphics are super comfy. My favorite is probably that level with the giant tree stump in the middle and you have to unlock the cannon plant to get to the top. Starts at like 45 seconds in this video.

Only truly good game based on a film was the Batman that was on X-box 360 and was amazing, where you chased the girl through the sewers, etc.. I fucking hate the new Batman game with the bat mobile and the rest. Terrible.
What was the one where you had to make your way over the ice and avoid sharks to get to the fight with Penguin?
THAT was a fucking good game.

Punisher. I wouldn't say is FULLY a movie licensed game. But you play as the movie punisher , and the game came out almost at the same time as the movie.

Most 16 bit era disney games are really fun

And that may have divisive opinions. But i liked the Adams Family movie based games. They weren't GREAT but i liked the NES one the most.

Talking about 16bit era. Batman had it's share of great games.

NEs batman, and batman returns for SNES are great.

I will also add Jurassic Park: The lost world for Genesis. it's a pretty fun game, and it's 2 players coop. It plays like the SNES Jurassic Park but , it's coop and you have a password system. Making it a game you can complete in a bunch of days. Also it's fairly long, so the pass comes in handy.

This. I only heard marvels about this game. Could MGSv be the only reason it flopped? Didn't another game came out at the same time too?

Talking about Sunsoft. We can add Gremlins 2. Not as good as batman, but pretty fun.

That said. It's hard as balls.

I would add Journey to silius for at some point being a terminator licensed game. until some dumbshit decided Ocean was better for the job

The problem is that outside the driving and general atmosphere it plays too much like an Arkham game. By the point the game came out people were already a bit burned out on such gameplay.

I see your point. More than likely, if Montanna made it out of the mansion alive, he'd probably end up like Sam at the end of casino. That would be, only if Sosa just stopped after raiding his mansion, but being an average drug dealer wouldn't be very fun now, would it?

...

incredible.

Aren't you in Payday 2 these days? What happened to you man?

I don't know what you're talking about. Are you confusing me with someone?

He means Tony Montana was added as a playable character to Payday 2.

...

That's news to me. I can barley run that game, so I just stopped playing it.

SAY HELLO TO MY WIFE'S SON

...

I thought Al was apolitical. You might be thinking about De Niro.
