Overall I'd say it's a definite improvement, although it keeps some of the flaws of the earlier installments. The trench warfare mindset is still pretty ingrained in most of the playerbase, but the map design is much bigger and allows for more maneuvering. On anything larger than the smallest maps, helo transports and logistics are almost a necessity. Alot of opponents also fail to recognize the fact that many APC's can cross rivers, which can open up your options.

The downsides are that the naval combat is pretty weak, anti-ship aircraft are largely useless, and the game has continued to get more out of scale as far as units go. Still, overall it's the strongest of the series.

It's easier to tell someone what to do with a cast iron object than explain what a surfactant, polarity in solutions and corrosive ions are. Just make the item twice as thick and half the cost with shitty metal.

Why the fuck does he sound like Dracula?

Well it was not by his own hand that he was once again given flesh user. He was bough here by humans who wish to pay him tribute.

All right, I am going to go through everything this motherfucker did.

At first you see him on the runway. Obviously, as you can hear, the engines are already running, his targeting pod (TGP) is offline and his masterarm switches are off, as is his laser arm switch. This is a standard "hot" start mode.
He then proceedes to switch his TGP on, which is perfectly normal to do, since you want it to be ready when you reach your destination. He also activates his Gun arm switch, which may look weird, considering that his normal weapons aren't armed yet, but hey, nothing can go wrong, ground weapons safety should still be engaged.
And then he does that ONE mistake.
He pulls the right engine fire leaver. This completely shuts down the right engine. Not only will his plane receive asymetrical thrust now, since only the left engine can run, but also does this mean that he can accelerate half as fast, which means he needs twice the runway to take off. At this point the MASTER CAUTION sound starts playing and the master caution light starts blinking, as this is a serious matter and would usually require immediate pilot attention.
Next scene you can see his status panel not even mentioning anything wrong with the right engine. Something is fishy here. He must have recorded this scene before shutting down his right engine.
He flips on the Display, Jammer and Missile warning system on his countermeasures console, while keeping his entire countermeasure system dial off (white/grey radial switch to the right). This is stupidx10, since nothing at all will happen unless he turns on his actual countermeasures.
He also extends his boarding ladder (red button), which can only be folded in by the ground crew.
Next scene: You can see the plane rolling for some reason, and the canopy opening. He must have done two things: throttle up and flip the canopy switch to the up position (switch above the red button from the last scene). He also mouses over the Right engine fan speed, and APU screens, which indicate that the right engine is indeed off.
He panicks and hits the ladder button once more, which does nothing.
Then he enters a bunch of numbers into the scratch pad, which does nothing at all. To save the situation, he would need to throttle down and restart the right engine, as well as ask the ground crew to stow the boarding ladder back into it's compartement.

He hits the MID button right below the master caution button. All he would have to do would be hitting the blinking button itself, and the beeping would stop. He also appears to have steered off the runway. He enters the button F into the scratchpad, an absolutely useless action.
Next scene you can see what he entered into the scratch pad. 96522423652898888855DIHAH, a useless waste of valuable time in which he could have throttled down and saved his aircraft.
He also pulls the APU fire handle, which shuts down the APU, which already isn't running. If he had wanted to eject he would have to press LCtrl+E three times in a row.

His pane flips due to asymetrical thrust and uneven ground. he literally caused this entire fuckup only by throttleing up and not steering the plane down the runway properly, which would have been entirely possible.

Let me see if I can record myself taking off with only one engine. Should be easy enough.

A shit joke. You literally can't get the A10c to burst into flames just sitting on the runway.
However, this is entirely possible using the Su-25t, which can catch fire if the engines are turned on, then shut down and turned on again.
This causes multiple things to happen:
A) fuel is being pumped into the engine, the fuel doesn't ignite yet because the engine isn't fully turned on yet.
B) When the engine is turned off, the fuel remains in the engine until is lowly leaks out.
C) When the engine is turned on before the fuel has leaked out, more fuel will be pumped into the engine and suddenly ignite when the engine reaches a certain temperature. Too much fuel in the engine causes the temperature to rise uncontrollably and the pilot would usually be forced to shut down the engine and let it cool off properly.
D) When the pilot doesn't shut down the engine, the temperature will rise very fast, and eventually cause hydraulics and fuel lines to melt/burn, which causes even more leaks into the engine and even more fire to spread. Eventually the plane is consumed by fire, unless the pilot engages the fire suppression system.

And by the way: the Su-25t comes free with DCS, while the A10c is a buyable package. If you want to have a joke about the complexity and newcomer unfriendly nature of DCS use an actual scenario a newcomer could experience.
