Like Yu-Gi-Oh, but shit. Still cannot fucking believe Brutalmoose played it, I was sure I was the only kid who knew it existed.

let's just get this pile of shit out of the way

The first video game I remember ever is this shit, which my parents played on their amstrad CPC.
I didn't play anything myself until super mario all stars though.

ET TOC, DES FRAISES

Are we going on this down this route?

lel

...

Tonka Space Station was fun as a kid. I wonder how it would hold up now as an adult.

I'm really fucking old.

Oh gosh, I forgot this even existed. I remember at my school some computers had that installed but someone went rogue and also installed piranha panic on some of the computers too. You'd get in trouble for playing it if you were caught but for some reason they never uninstalled it (I guess they didn't know how).

Adibou was the shit dude

LEGO Island is the GOAT

...

why

Blath Master

Anyone remember what it was like being kid, playing games having "no idea" what to do running around having fun and getting frustrated?

I wish games still had that sense of wonder and discovery.

GoldenEye
Perfect Dark
pls no bully

Ribbit, mon.

Perfect Dark is amazing though, great music too.

.

Nigger, man.

nu/v/ strikes again what's next? inb4 some fuck goes w00t thankies

Man it's hard to think perfect dark is 17 years old.

I did notice the lag when playing it recently though

archive.org/details/1964-60FPS-Edition

No lag here.
But yeah the lag on the N64 is quite harsh, back then I didn't even know what lag is, but now it's definitely uncomfortable.

my nostalgia exploded

Just a tip the latest version is from 2017/02/18, that archived version is from 2015.

Real niggas only. Who's down for some pizza fractions? We can grab some fried ice cream from the sugarcane fields after.

These weren't as great as i thought they were when i was a kid, but Croc is still second on my list of cutest vidya characters.

Viewing porn of your favorite obscure childhood game, no matter how weird or bad it is, indicates that someone else remembers the game and you're not alone.

Does anyone know a name of this particular game:
It was a 2d side scrolling adventure game i guess and you start off hanging from a tree your parachute stuck, and then you free a wild girl trapped on an altar of some kind and it turns out you are actually on an island with dinosaurs.
It's kinda like Another World for genesis.

You're making me want to go back and replay croc

What's stopping you? Afraid? Can't find a copy? Bad Memories of Daddy, Croc, and the Gobbos?

Come now, sit on my lap and tell me all about you and your memories with Croc, we all got them, but this is your story.

Pitfall Harry and the Mayan Adventures?

...

HAHAHAH

Any of this series.
Shit was so cash

I use to play museum madness in my elementary school computer lab as a kid. Never could save anything so I could never get far.

I liked that game as a kid. Neat non-linear game.

Oh shit, thanks!

What the fuck? Please tell me this isnt for real.

...

Shame they fucking destroyed this game. Couldn't even run the zombies over in the second one.

I put a winamp playlist of Croc's voice clips on random, with some HotD2 mixed in, on my computer as an alarm once. It sounded like my room was haunted.

If it matters user the original devs re-released it onto steam in it's proper blood and guts version I'm sure you could find a torrent of it easy, have fun on the missions

...

...

...

I played the shit out of this

I can't find shit on this game, but my primary school had it and everyone played it when we were miles past the learning in it just to play a board game at break.
It's called Numbers Up Volcano Panic and the jews who sell it are still ask for full price because it won some award years ago.
It's just a shit game where you answer questions at the end of your roll to get credits and you spend the credits for double dice for a turn or to mess your friends up and who ever at the end had the most credits got to see their shitty avatar fly off the island as it explodes.

My cousin had this back in the day. We would play this shit for what seemed like hours on end.

this also includes the shitload of demos that were packed alongside the game

Adventures of Willy Beamish point and click about a 90s edgymeister sort of like Bart Simpson. Hard as fuck tbh.

Does anyone else remember this? I think I got it from a school book fair.

I am disappoint.

Tomba 1 & 2 were good shit, along with the Humongous adventure games.

I remember this game being more fun in the first half compared to the second half. Still better than Jumpstart 5th Grade with that fucking crossword puzzle in the art gallery.

I have the game and the device, but I never played it. It requires a serial printer port to connect the spyglass.

"Oh gosh we have to shill an try really hard to sell it!" Gunpei
"Holy shit can we stop this crap from happening please now more, stop making this fucking game that's all the manchildren we sell to play and nothing else, fuck off" Iwata

aw shit son

...

gamejolt.com/games/the-illogical-journey-of-the-zambonis/37225

I used to be such a cool kid. Where did it all go wrong?

I remember getting excited whenever we got to play Thinkin' Things.

...

sauce?

Fuck me man, I thought that was one of the later ones.

I remember the first half was you doing detective work in a swamp shithole with exotic locations, and the second half was you literally just going through floors in an aztec ruin. Not nearly as good.

I remember that game use to scare the shit out of me because the phantom would pop out of nowhere, and I went around thinking he'd pop out of nowhere IRL

...

Also, Porno Kitchen is pretty wierd.

...

also the game that literally everyone has played at some point

You take that back right now

Holla Forums.

Fuck I've got a copy of this

...

I miss the 90s and the creativity you had to have with 3d models in order to make them fun.

Bumping

Tonka garage was my favorite.

You did play I.M. meen before the internetz?

Windows XP was the only good Windows

...

The Adventures of Hyperman. Anyone remember this shit? I think it involved catapulting cows at one point. It was preinstalled on old IBM Aptiva home computers.

The ruins were a lot shorter, too, from what I remember.

Did the Jumpstart series ever have a game where you become Egyptian demi-gods at the end? I didn't think so. Jumpstart 3rd Grade was pretty decent, though.

...

...

I wana fugg Volvo up her orang ars so bad

Tonka is no one you want to fuck with. It's awesome when kids are in to giant trucks and construction vehicles. Shows they already have attention going the right direction instead of being some queer concerned about progressivist non-issues.

Did the creators of Scooby Doo ever talk about creating velma and why she's so fucking hot while daphne is just the cliche disposable pretty girl?

WHAT EVER YOU ARE, JUST MAKE ME A PIZZA

I honestly think it was an accident. They were trying to make Velma the plain uninteresting one and in doing so they unintentionally hit a bunch of fetishes that made her way more interesting than Daphne.

It's all just a case of personal preference. Velma is the right preference, and Daphne is the wrong preference.

No, because normal people find Daphne hot, as she's slender and feminine, and unloved CHUDs with warped senses of beauty find the frumpy nerd girl more appealing because she's less likely to spit in your face.

To counterpoint, Eva girls. I think Asuka's a raging cunt and wouldn't touch her with a ten foot pole, but lots of faggots seem to gravitate to her, anyhow.

That's something Earthworm Jim did though multiple games could have done that.

Damn right Tonka was the shit.

As for Velma, I think it was just a case of them just filling the role. It's only now that nerdy girls got fetishistized like

were saying

ll the girls in Eva are mentally broken shit tier anyway.

...

I wish I could find a download for that, just for nostalgia

Some more by Ben Newman (ex Free Radical Design)

she thicc

Noice.

I played this when i was arround 7 years old

...

windows xp was the only good OS/console tan

Anybody played this? Reader Rabbit 1st grade I think was the name.

...

...

Ayo hol up

Yes

Rainbowanimations 2.0?

shit taste

Yup, it's shit.

The Backyard sports games were the shit and I wish I could find my discs for them.
I remember playing some educational point-and-click game about some man and woman (superheroes? I thought they were flying or morphing at some point) when I was in kindergarden or 1st grade. I think it was JumpStart since I played most of their other games, but I can't remember. None of the JumpStart game descriptions on Wikipedia seem to match what I'm thinking of.
I also played a KNEX game that was apparently published by FOX. I found my disc for this game but I'm not sure if I really want to bother playing it again.

...

My niggas.

I loved Tonka Construction when I was a kid.

...

oh i loved those old hunks of plastic
i at most i had 6 different ones

...

You laugh at it but people who were 9 in 2009 are 17 now, some time in the near future someone is going to make a post exactly like mine and be serious.

...

Skyrim won the "test of time" Steam award, something that was meant to go to an old classic

they were pretty surreal, I think I have them lying around somewhere

Sweater with a kneesocks-skirt combo is lewd as fuck, Daphne is too cheerleader-y to be interesting. There's plenty of "normal" guys who find insecure hotties to be a turn-on.
Furthermore, everyone knows that Rei is the hopeless degenerate choice and Asuka is the more well-adjusted and attractive of the two that appeals to "normal people" more, so I think you might have some wires flipped.

bump

Oh shit son it's PAJAMA SAM
don't play the fourth one, it's shit

My nigga.

It's like you guys were abused as children.

I played the shit out of this as a kid. Pablo is OP as fuck.

...

I remember playing a version about physics and mechanical science. It's pretty cool.

That's the one.

My nigga, the road building was the shit. Painting sucked hard sadly.

That's your problem, i don't think a single game got awarded that wasn't continually jacked off by the "community" since it was announced.

C'mon

I still have the cd somewhere. I can confirm that pablos is OP as fuck.

Monster Maker Math boyos

I also remember this Charlie Brown computer game I think I rented from the library a few times that I cannot for the life of me find any information on. I think it involved them going to Summer Camp? I remember some fishing minigame you could get to by clicking on Lucy who would sell you the bait, I distinctly remember her shouting about fish eggs.

files.fm/u/ytxr2hhu there's the bugdom soundtrack for you

also nanosaur was pretty cool

Which one's the fourth one? The one where he goes into his stomach and has to rescue a bunch of veggies?

I want to hug the niece

Forgot this

i wasn't a fan when they added the mlb players because the computer always drafts the mlb players with their op stats and leaves you with the weaker kids.

best B&B game ever made.

Thank you for reminding me of this

both of these actually got sequels.

OH SHIT I FOUND THE GAME, IT'S THE ONE WITH THE BIG GUY, MIDDLE GUY, AND SMALL GUY. THANK YOU ANONS

My school used to have this game installed on the computers, but they removed it from all of them because it was "too violent."

When I was in the 5th grade ('97 or '98) we played some kind of trucking simulator a couple times per week in the "computer lab". I have no idea what it was called, and I don't remember much of it. You had to plan routes in some kind of map mode, and then drive the truck from place to place, picking up loads of cargo and then dropping them off. I think you had to pay attention to gas, too.

I was extremely good at it compared to everyone else in the class (I basically never fucked up). At one point the teacher asked me to show some other kids how to properly use the map mode instead of just driving in circles and getting lost, but they didn't get it. I couldn't understand why they were so fucking stupid. Idiocy is as much a mystery to geniuses as genius is to idiots, apparently.

I used to bike down to the library with my brothers to play this and read Star Wars comic books.

That motherfucker scared the shit out of me more than once.

There was this one game that I still can't find dispite remembering a lot of the specifics. There was one part with a bear named Freddy Forgetful and you had to help him find shit he lost in his house. There was another part where you had to alphabetically sort VHS tapes and you got to watch them when you were done. I booted up the game just to watch them, so I still remember most of them:

Those were the shit.

I remember this.

mein neger

was it Cross Country Canada?

Or Cross Country USA

I think the Canada one came first, it's the one people talk about the most. I played it a few times back in elementary, but I was too retarded to know what I'm doing. So I just stuck to Munchers and Odell Down Under.

Most likely that one, yeah. I looked up some youtube videos of it, and it looks familiar. Plus, the number of similar games that actually existed before '98 is a very small list, and the others looked way too primitive.

...

I remember that one, never went very far though.

Some math game in school. I remember there being lots of games with different levels of each for different subjects.

The one that sticks out was a game where you had to throw magic beans or something and I think the character throwing the beans was a jester? It was a 2D game.

I still can't believe my babby self passed up AoE and Oregon Trail for pic related.

I used to love that game. I had that along with one where you are in a museum. I liked the theme park one more because I think that's the one that had the Scooby Doo opening on it.

Fuck yeah, this was the first thing that came to mind.

Bumping with I Spy. There were a few based off the books (which were fantastic of themselves) but the simple additions of a an interactive and animated element made them so much better. Shame they don't like working on modern computers and there's no Iso or anything for them. But that's probably 90% true for everything in this thread

This? Download the ISO, DosBox, mount CD and you're good to go.
archive.org/details/msdos_I_Spy_2001

...

Thanks user, though it seems to want to hang. Does it run on dosbox regularly or does it need to be ran through a windows 3.1 being emulated I had to do that for Tonka Construction?

I know you're joking but the first Modern Warfare is approaching 10 years old, so even if a 12 year old played it as their first game they'd be fine to post here. Unless you're being serious about posting Modern Warefare

Anyways Rampage. Made it to like level 100 with some kids before getting bored with it. There was also a PS2 game that nearly everyone doesn't know about.

No problem.

I have no idea, just looked up for the game on archive.org, noticed it was there. Someone uploaded a two hour video of the game on YouTube, claiming it could be run under DosBOX, and DosBOX running Windows 3.1

I told my mom I wanted a Gameboy and got this. I played the fuck out of it.

Oh shit I remember these guys doing a presentation at school, I was picked as volunteer kid to play on stage and I accidentally locked the game up just clicking on shit all around a map. They were so embarassed. I felt so bad about it, was sure I was gonna get in trouble.

These three games were my jam.

We only ever got to play with Turtle, that 'programming' language in my ghetto elementary school.

...

Nintendo can cuck us out of F Zero and Metroid but they will truly DIE without Smash. Fucking bunch of dumbasses.

Just play one of the newer ones. I remember I Spy Haunted Mansion when I was younger, that one is somewhat recent (Decade and a half ago - ish)

Help me remember a babby game I used to play, Holla Forums. It had something to do with green (grey?) aliens and I think it was a point and click. I remember almost nothing about it other than that.

Also it was not a flash game, it was something from either the late 90s or early 00s and the aliens were your typical martians with big heads, big black eyes etc

I have the CD for soccer. I've never played it, don't know if it even runs on my computer, and don't even know where exactly it came from. Just kinda showed up the other month. Actually, it may have been explained to me while I was spaced out, I don't know.

Also, vid related.

Loved Perfect Dark. The 360 remake was pretty alright, but one day M$ decided I had never purchased anything from the Arcade and forced all of my games into demo versions asking me to buy again.

And a bunch of other games that was pretty much the only reason why I kept my Xbox.

First pic was maybe the oldest platform I remember to play….maybe played other stuff early but can't recollect now
Second pic I still boot up my old ps1 and play itnew and tasty was a let down

i played this entire game and beat it without knowing about the magnet throwing mechanic that disables those robot guard fuckers

bump

what you're describing sounds like Math Blaster or maybe one of the spinoffs but I don't remember any of them being point and clicks.

Mathblasters and all those other learning games I forget.

GIVE ME FOO
GIVE ME FIAHA
GIVE ME SODA SADA DADA

I forgot about that game. The announcer was the best part Well the music was pretty good, and the car and track selection were great. Aww fuck it the game's damn near perfect for an early racing gameHave MERCY

...
