I've just recently started getting into leftism after being a fascist/ Not Socialist for a while.
There are lots of new 'news' sites popping up that hold these kinds of views, mostly from the alt right, like Daily Stormer, The Right Stuff, Radix, etc.
Are there any good sites that talk about current events from a leftist perspective?

I don't really read any leftist news sources. Just take in everything from Fox, CNN, RT, Al Jazeera and TeleSUR and from there draw your own conclusions. Don't trust what they say generally.
Sometimes explicitly leftist websites can provide some quality analysis from an angle I didn't think about it from originally.
Once you understand DiaMat you don't really need to be spoonfed opinion pieces.
As a UK fag I also read The Independent, The Times and The Guardian a fair bit.

tbh the pool is very limited depending on what type of leftism you have found yourself getting into. I'd suggest reading the theory from the greats so you have your own take. Reporters and pundits, even the lefty ones, can be full of shit a lot of the time.
May I suggest Debt: The First 5000 Years by David Graeber.
This isn't a classic, but it will be in 10 years, it is focused on DEBT, the history of debt and money, so as a former Nazi I'm sure that will interest you as he basically explains the real real nature of 'Jewish money lending tricks'
The Guardian is straight cancer these days TBH haven't really done much notable since breaking the Snowden Leaks
Don't bother with "left-wing news" outside of Jacobin.
Most of them are autistically sectarian and are chock full of ridiculous outdated lingo.
Part of moving on from being a right-winger is digesting information that isn't pre-chewed for you. Maybe there is a left-wing equivalent of the Daily Stormer out there somewhere, but you shouldn't bother trying to find it.
I would occasionally watch leftist videos on youtube and started thinking a lot about the materialism/idealism debate. I realized that a lot of the arguments that people on my side used were based on things that couldn't be proven, whereas the leftists ideas were based on material reality.
I understand the basics of it now, but it's a pretty new concept to me, so I haven't had a lot of time to get a deep understanding of how to apply it
I usually go to Reuters, AP, Fox, CNN, etc. for my news but it would be nice to have leftist analysis to see how to apply theory better.
