Why are liberals so pathologically adversed to the idea of their own self-actualization?

You mean that buzzword that liberals use all the time?

Buzzword is a buzzword. :^)

Liberals only want to be self-actualized as far as capitalism extends. That's why.

...

...

Liberals don't say that.

Can you give me an example of what you're talking about?

I mean, they act like capitalism is eternally inevitable and that it somehow is compatible with the individualist ethic they claim to adhere to, despite placing them at the mercy of bosses and market mechanisms. When you point out the diversity and continuously shifting models of resource allocation and procurement throughout history, and the authoritarian, anti-individualist nature of the capitalist mode of production they usually deny it and continue to espouse idealist fantasies such as the barter myth. They're adversed to the idea that they have the potential to be anything but a servant to capital.

Liberals hate themselves. Self-actualization requires self-awareness. A fatal endeavor for Homo Sapiens Liberalus.
