don't trust him

But im doing it for free

And why would I want them?

Well it's not like it's surprising or anything. The Persona and Yakuza series have always been console exclusives. If you wanted to play the games you should've bought a PS4.

Futaba SFM porn?

...

He's not very good at his job to be frank.

They can keep their games. I'll keep my money.

I'm surprised he's still working at the company, he's terrible at his job and makes the company look like a bunch of cunts when I know someone who also works for SEGA and even admitted to me that my friend posts here and that NeoGAF is a fucking joke.

Not for long

:^)

...

I ain't trusting jack shit from that cunt. However an actual reason might actually be music licensing.
Persona from 3 onwards has music that is copyrighted by Sony. Same goes for newer Yakuza titles.

Well yes, this is an actual reason. Sony's been better with allowing PC ports, however the fact remains that it's up to both Sony and SEGA if they want to put those games on PC. I personally don't see it happening, but who knows?

but yeah, never trust John Hardin, he's a huge cunt.

Considering Valkyria Chronicles of all things got a port, anything is possible.

Was it Sony or Sega who has the copyrighted music for the Yakuza series? I thought it was Sega because the only reason that Sega of America adds their own music to the localization is because it's a cheap alternative to paying the licensing fees for the original music.

for sure, I'm willing to bet that this is just John Hardin being a cunt again. I think there's a good amount of demand for these games to come on PC, it's just a matter of time.

Would this face lie to you?

Would these users lie to you?

Some backstory is needed. I find myself surprisingly not knowing this name or face.

I get it not launching on the Switch because its an old game, but it'd still be nice if it got a PC release like Binary Domain or Valkyria Chronicles.

But with Yakuza 3 onwards it seems that music for the intros in particular got removed, at least for western releases.

By Gork, meeb knew da community ad goes ter ploppaz but datz jus' despicabul. Uumies praisin' da fact dat da PS4 gets ter keep anodda exclusiv. Rillee does feel loike GAF moved in.

Fing iz Valkyria Chroniclz eben sold well enough dat Sega was damned surpriseded by ow well it did. Dat shud be an indicator ter port more gamz ober.

No shit, their presence was already a thing, with no resistance they spread like a cancer.

Persona 5 is guaranteed shit anyway, no idea about yakuza since i'm not a fan though but since it's on ps4 it's probably going to get the god of war treatment

Why the fuck not? All games "journalism" is cancer.

Didn't SEGA say they would have more information about PC ports after New Year?

Also sorry i forgot to sage the shell thread.

I think it has more to do with how bad the Yakuza ports sold in Japan on the Wii U.

Oh yeah, they removed the TOS notice

Yeah, so they can tell us that there will be more info about it later this year

Instant report

...

Hi, I've been watching a lot of items from Anita Sarkeesian on Youtube (her series is "Feminist Frequency"). I think it's safe to call her a go-to authority on feminist analysis of video games. She does a lot of talks on the subject outside of youtube as well. I don't play video games nearly as often as I used to (I certainly don't call myself a 'gamer') but I've been trying to analyze some games on my own in the way that she's been doing it and I'm not sure if I'm doing it right.
One of Sarkeesian's primary points, made repeatedly in her series, is that video games objectify women and one particularly objectionable cliche is the archetype of the damsel in distress. One example she sometimes cites is Princess Peach being rescued by Mario, but there are many other examples. Women getting rescued is a recurring theme in a lot of games and Sarkeesian argues that this is damaging because of the portrayal of passivity, weakness, lack of agency, etc.
So I applied her thinking to a series of classic mid-1980 arcade games that were critical to the development of popular first-person shooter-style games and I tried to think about what lessons we can apply to society from this. In these games (Operation Wolf, Operation Thunderbolt, their knock-offs, etc) there was a gun mounted in front and you had to shoot thousands of enemy soldiers. I remember that painted on the side of one of these game machines, it showed the main character (played by you), with his gun ablaze and a woman in civilian clothing draped over his shoulder, as if he symbolically owned her or something. This seemed like a good game to analyze because of the obvious damsel in distress imagery.
In the game, there were extraordinarily few female characters but on the rare occasions in which they did appear, they were hostages or civilians; you weren't supposed to shoot them because you'd lose points and they'd yell 'NO!' You got points for rescuing them. So if rescuing women is BAD because of the portrayal of weakness and passivity and so on… would it be better to shoot the women instead? See, Sarkessian doesn't really get very bothered by games where you need to shoot gigantic numbers of men and she's never done a video on that topic to my knowledge, so I assume it's not harmful or unacceptable. What really gets under her skin is rescuing damsels in distress, so it seems that it's a better idea to shoot them. If you shoot no one in the games I was analyzing, you'd be killed in 10 seconds and no one would spend their quarter on it. So the only conclusion you can reach is that it's better to shoot women and not harm them with objectifying, sexist rescue.
I'd always been indoctrinated into thinking that rescuing someone was good and shooting someone was bad, but a lot of my patriarchal assumptions are being challenged by feminist ideas in new and unexpected ways.
And if rescuing women is such a problem in video games, should real life police and military shoot female hostages? If rescuing Princess Peach does damage by objectifying women, then rescuing a REAL woman would probably do the most damage of all?
Or maybe it's possible to compensate by making video games where the player rescues men and shoots only women? Would that subvert the sexist paradigm? Or should we kill every hostage equally, regardless of their sex? That sounds like a more anti-sexist game. This is all pretty confusing, really. I guess I lack experience in analyzing video games with a feminist lens. Can someone help? I'm not doing it wrong, am I? Thanks.
