I've been in these threads since 2014. Gilda was originally mocked for the most part, then these comics started surfacing and people took a bit of a liking to her. At least some did. I saw very little "hate" for her at this point on for a long while.

Then, a few months ago, an user seemed to be get really obsessed with Gilda and kept posting her everywhere. But then it oddly became several anons. And then an equally inexplicable group of anons soley focused on defeating this "gildafag" or how every many imitators he had showed up. Could some of this been legitimate autism? Of course. But I don't think it was just that. Too many of the posters who eventually indulged in that behavior only did that and that kind of topic dilution is a shill tactic. You can't pretend it's not. So I don't think this is a real OC war so much as something that blew up in part due to some legitimate tism and also people capitalizing on that.

Regardless, the solution is an easy one: just fucking ignore it. Gilda is Gilda. There are going to be some anons that like her (I kind of do, at least as part of a larger cast, even though I primarily prefer Danielle), those that dislike her and those that don't give a shit at all.
