Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines

Discuss any and everything related to this masterpiece.

On a personal note, here's what I think of all the female NPCs in V:tMB.

Goddess-tier:

Hot-tier

Low-tier

Imalia-tier

Shit lost.

STOP

*list, even

Impressive. Almost junkbot is back impressive, really.

OP's list is bait, but I think I should reinstall this.

user, stop this. Yukie is objectively best girl. Its why I make her a ghoul every time.

Her face does nothing for me.

Anyone who uninstalls it, for any reason other than updating or wanting to start fresh, should be sterilized.

I've never been able to finish it. I get random telephone poles and Egyptian hieroglyph stone tablets in places they shouldn't be. It's like the saves corrupt.

Then put a paper bag over it.

Steam edition or pirated?

Pirated and GOG. Same issue both times.

Installed the developer/community patch to fix it too?

Yeah, it extended my play time for a good six hours, but it eventually did the same thing.

I've no idea, maybe its your video card? Or O/S.

I dropped this game because I couldn't get mods that add new content to work such as the mod mentioned.
But I guess since it's [CURRENT YEAR] + 2 I should pick up up again.

Thinking back, it could've been my HD. That thing burned up about 2 months later, and I'd had weirder shit happen daily.

I'll give it another go. Thanks for the troubleshooting user.

Sorry I couldnt be any help. Hopefully you're right about the HDD, it's a really good game.

I installed the community patch and the game used to work fine, but I started a new save and I cant use any of my blood powers. I've tried binding the key to several things but no help. Any idea what's wrong?

What's the appeal of this game?

Autistic modding, twilight fags, exploding niggers by making their blood boil and cirklejerk memes.

So the appeal is memes, and this is a meme game?

And you focus on the memes?

That could very likely be a meme in and of itself.

Just don't open it

I've played the tabletop with mates, so I might as well ply the game.

What are the essential mods to fix bugs and whatnot? I don't really care about porn unless it's good porn.

Download all the unofficial patches. It will fix tons of shit that was broken.

Download the unofficial patch by Scrolls, that's all you need. Don't install the content mods that come with it, they are worthless.

The appeal is a highly atmospheric, true to the genre RPG. Also vampire tits.

The problem is an engine issue. Due to this being on a early version of source, the longer you play the more likely this will happen where objects will get randomly placed where they shouldn't be. The solution is actually very simple. If you quit the game, as in close the game down completely, then start it back up, this will fix the problem no matter if you saved before or after the issue appeared.

All one of them.

...

...

...

Take that back
REEEEEEEEEEE

they couldn't even connect the hands to the cart, pretty shitty work there.

You think this is hotness?

I love this game, finished it dozens of times but the engine it runs on is completely shit. I wish someone ported it to a newer engine

Cut them a little slack, they went broke before they could even properly finish the game.

Not only that, Activision wouldn't even give the devs any tech support for the engine. It was crushed by Activision in favor of another game. Fans of Bloodlines saw the potential greatness of the game and mods patched it themselves. The original release had a game ending bug that had to be patched at the end of the Society of Leopold level. I still have the original CDs.

Same here. It was years before I was able to actually beat the game once I got regualr access to the net because it would always crash when I fought the Gargoyle and the Tzimisce

3 years in development, no end in sight, over budget. Frankly they should have learned to manage a project.

Did you even try?

I've done it every way allowable.

Already finished the game a bunch of times.
Barring doing a Malk run (never did one because fuck Malks) what mods are there?
I'd settle for anything that adds extra content to the base game, but if there's new stories/scenarios I'd play those instead.

Also: best Clan is Gangrel, by far. Rip and Tear all day erry day. You can also summon the bats to keep your blood topped off WHILE ripping and tearing. And if that wasn't already too OP, you can summon that spirit wolf to immobilize an enemy while you Rip and Tear.
Want to Rip and Tear faster/harder? Claws. Even harder? Beast Form.
Remember that you can pump yourself with Blood Buff, Claws and Beast Form to kill anything in 2-3 hits WHILE still using the wolf and the bats to keep enemies pinned down and your blood at maximum.

Tremere are kinda cool too. It always feels a bit of a waste to use Bloodboil, but damnit, when you see a whole division plastered with blood everywhere, it's worth it.

They weren't given shit though. They had no experience with the Source engine, in fact back then the Source version they had to work with was still in a beta phase. And the budget was fucking tight.
Activision should learn how to manage projects.

Malks are fun. I just can't stand their fucking font. It makes shit unnecessarily difficult to read.

The Malk one is the most entertaining.

I don't apreciate slapstick madness.
It's funny for a couple minutes, then starts grating me.
True madness walks a fine line between "everything seems normal" and "something feels off" before taking a nosedive into "I NEED YOUR FUCKING BONES TO SUMMON THE MOON CAT, SCREAM DADDY GIRL."

I've read some stories in-universe written by third parties. I'd advise against it since Sturgeon's law applies fully well here (90% of a given medium is always shit) but I managed to read a good Malk story a few years ago were the main character appeared to be Brujah, Ventrue and Tremere until shit hit the fan and turns out it was a Malk acting all sane because he was that much insane (and tricked everyone by mistake, tricking himself aswell).
That shit was a pdf posted in /tg/ back in 4chan. Maybe ask'em for stories, one of them is bound to have kept them.

How fucking dare you?

as far as I've been able to determine. it's twilight-tier shit as pointed out

I'd very much like to know what kind of mental gymnastics are going here that allows someone to refer to World of Darkenss, especially the old one, as "twilight-tier".
Even for shitposters and baiters, this is a new low in terms of effort.

Well, there's the Antitribu mod but that's kinda stalled after the mod leadership started fighting. You played as Sabbat type vampires. It was very buggy in my playthrough and there's one vamp type that you need to go back to your haven every so often and rest in the coffin. But when you're walking around Santa Monica often, it gets annoying having to go back.

There's Bloodlines Extreme, which just seems the values turned up.

There's The Final Nights and I'm not sure what that changes. Not a lot judging by the reviews.

There's the Camarilla mod which is probably one of the best and it mostly changes how the games play, disiplines are different, so are characters histories at the beginning. There's blood drain and less passive healing but blood heal is made stronger. That sorta thing.

And there's the one I recommend which is the Clans Mod. Every clan now gets their own quest that will pop up sometime during the story, some are better than others.
The Tremere one for instance has you trying to coax secrets out of Jeanette but you get dementated instead and meet a figmet who's your former Sire.
Has the system changes that Camarilla mod brings like the blood loss, implements a bit of the Companion mod as well in that you can recruit Heather and Yuki And eventually make one your childe. Companions are a double edged blade though, you can tell the to move from a door but they often fall behind. When you enter the next area they usually catch up. Still in the dark nights, it's good to bring someone along.
Also has something called the Arsonel mod but don't install it. The guns you get are absolute rubbish. Like a grenade launcher that OHKOs you with aggravated damage.
Has some other content as well, like VV finally giving you that private show. Also pretty stable since it uses the unoffical patch as well. So yeah, a culmination of a few mods but it is pretty good.

other teams have done much more in far more extreme situations. Troika had a history of poor project launches, planning issues and going over budget.

They fucked up on their own, games industry isn't a magical commie land, learn to work in dead lines or die yourself.

Bugs don't scare me. I played Stalker unpatched and unmodded. I ain't afraid of no bug.
WELP, that's a good enough reason to play again.
I just noticed I never tried Toreador either since they didn't seem that diferent from Ventrue, but fuck it, time to be an artsy faggot that runs faster than bullets.

So I read your post and got curious.
Turns out Troika only ever released 3 games, Arcanum which was pretty good, Temple of Elemental Evil which was neat and Bloodlines.
Which project of theirs had "poor project launches" or "planning issues", mate?

Do consider that the publisher for Arcanum was Sierra and for TEE was Atari and those games did not had the same problems with being rushed, like Activision had.

nearly 4 years on a single project that you spent a lot of money on is inexcusable. Troika fucked up.

Troika may have spent a lot of money on a game they received little tech support with a new game engine but it didn't come from Activision. Hence Troika's closure a couple of years later.

That's the best you've got? Pathetic. I expected you to at least mention how TEE was given 2 extra months by Atari for a change in the ruleset from 3.0 to 3.5 and they still missed the deadline by 19 days because they needed more time.

What's "a lot of money" anyway and what scale are you comparing this too? Why is 4 years too much, when many biggers games get only 1 and they suffer for that?(Asscreed franchise)

Then again, they couldn't release the game before Half Life 2 and yet Activision demanded the game be finished 3 months prior to that date.

If you can't argue, can't post and can't even shitpost, why not stop posting all together?

They released on the same day as Half Life 2, and because they were using the same engine, they were severely limited in the amount and type of marketing they were allowed to release. So they were working with a new engine, competing against one of the biggest game releases of all time and were near forbidden from marketing their product. What game has released under more extreme circumstances and been successful?

yep, clear cut failure on troika's part. Manage projects better, have a clear development plan early on, work on building workable assets and get to work putting that plan to action. Western studios often have a problem managing projects.

Assassins Creed games have different teams working on them and have a two to three year turn around time. They also suffer from severe management issues very often, with major problems on staff end such as director and game composition coordination across teams.

Why are you so dedicated on excusing a studio from fucking up? There was plenty in their control they botched. The few things out of their control (activision being clearly fed up with their incompetence and failure to deliver) and Valve's source contract have very little to do with how the studio fucked up their planning and the game ended up unfinished to a pathetic level.

rpgsā€¦don't compete with first person shooters. Don't be stupid.

No he's denying that the only reason people enjoy the game is memes

Such as? Unless you have some insider info you'd like to share, I'll call you faggot because the only thing we know is that implementing a tabletop RPG into a videogame takes a lot of effort due to the scope of it.

Because it was a genuine good videogame that had fun mechanics and did it's storytelling the best a game can possibly make, on par with Planescape and Legacy of Kain.
It's memorable as fuck for very good reasons and nobody denies the bugs, we just don't let them prevent us from enjoying the rest of the game.

I'll ask you the same question, though.
Why are you so dedicated to talk shit about Troika games when both Arcanum and Bloodlines are some of the best actual roleplaying games we have on PC?
Why are you colluding the idea that accepting and tolerating the problems the game has in order to enjoy the bigger picture means believing they did nothing wrong?
Why are you pushing this very binary idea that you either love everything they did or you must hate everything they did?

So you didn't played the game then.

Yes, people who play RPGs never play any other games. Only RPGs. There's never any overlap between the audiences. They exist in entirely different universes. You're telling me not to be stupid?

(checked)
first mistake, also it's pretty easy, especially the way VTMB attempted it, most abstraction was kept in tact and this really simplifies development because there's so little involved in creating effective real time solutions.
lol
that's nice, I don't think bugs are a show stopper but I think it's worth pointing out obvious fuck ups that could be fixed in seconds like having accurate tracking of actor movement and props.

do you interpret any criticism as talking shit?
these games should be above criticism, I agree, this way when future attempts at similar games are made, they repeat the same mistakes.
what

I know, it's not like PC gamers are really known for buying games, but don't pretend there's a comparable audience to an adaptation of a tabletop game and a AAA shooter.

You're going to ignore the fact that Valve hindered the game's development by not providing Troika any support with the Source engine, because they didn't want some other company to put out a well polished game using their engine before they released Half-life 2, and call it a failure on Troika's part?
Or are you saying it's Troika's fault for trusting Valve in the first place?

You fucking retard.
HL2 launches with a massive advertisement campaign while Vampire doesn't.
Folks head off to a store or Steam. What do you think they're gonna get?
And during the next two months, what do you think they're gonna be playing, since HL2 had multiplayer?
If you wanted to buy both on launch day, that would involve shelling out 120$ at once. How many people do you know cough up that ammount of dough at once on two games?
HL2 killed Vampire on launch day.
HL2 multiplayer killed during the next month.
No marketing killed after that.

they provided as much as they could and received regular beta builds according to all post-mortems.
considering how the documentation for goldsrc and source are nearly identical barring a few changes in lighting entities, displacements, and a few other things like npc node building (much cleaner system) - that excuse doesn't work.
they were contractually obligated to not have the game released before HL2. I also want you to think about how absolutely stupid your statement sounds. Think a little hard, but imagine you're putting a product on the market. Why would you ever want others using it to make it look like shit?

Think hard.

m8 nobody was using steam at hl2's launch, nobody could šŸ˜‚

I see, you're either relatively new to gaming, or you know nothing of gamers outside of imageboard shitposting. You see, once upon a time, not every shooter was Call of Duty. The audiences overlapped far more back then. Furthermore people aren't as die hard dedicated to single genres as imageboard shitposting would suggest and the entirety of the PC audience don't pirate every single game release. Honestly I'd say they pirated less back then, before digital distribution.

Either you've addressed the wrong user or you've horribly misread my post, because that was basically the exact point I've been making.

Columbus egg. It looks easy now that it's done, took them development to come up with how they wanted to do it and there are several more aproaches to it they could and probably tried.
For comparison, Redemption is an entirely different game.

What does this even mean? Are you just spewing buzzwords now, expecting them to become arguments?

Your criticism so far has been how they have spent "too much money", despite not specifying an amount or comparing it with any other project or ignoring that it was their money, not Activision, missing deadlines, ignoring the reasons for that, and assuming you know better how a game is developed.
You're talking shit, that's why I interpreted it as that.

You can try to put words in my mouth all you want, you'll always come out the bigger faggot.
The game is notorious for the bugs it has and how broken it is, every thread people always mention how the end feels rushed and too combat focused because they had to meet deadlines. Nobody excuses the bugs at all.
All that's said about the game is that DESPITE the bugs and problems it had, the story and characters was still one of the best we ever had and the mechanics were fun enough to play around with (Celerity and Blood Magic were best disciplines)

-t Valve employee

And yet Activision demanded the game be ready 3 months before it could even be released. 3 months that could have been used to iron out the last part of the game and bugtest it.

Loaded question. You're assuming Valve already knew the game would be shit.

I got the wrong user, sorry.
Last Vampire thread some retard kept sperging that "launching at the same date as HL2 had nothing to do with it failling". I assumed he was the same guy. Probably is.

lmao

poor management, they didn't plan out a workable solution early on. Other studios that have this problem see a quick turn around. Either the solution was easily implemented due to its simplicity (it was) or it's secretly hyper complex and has a lot more sub-surface calculations and nuance involved (it doesn't, it's fucking tabletop.)

it's tabletop.

troika: hey we have a contract we can't violate can we have more money to work on the game
acti: you guys are over budget, the milestones aren't being delivered, the project is a mess. No, get it ready for shipping, we have given you enough money
troika: ogm you're killing pc gaming :'''(

please think about it for a second
I don't think you understand the very basis of the statement. I'm curious, are you ESL?

They were working on TEE at the same time and "planning out a solution" takes time and is included in the 4 years of development.
You're the only faggot that thinks a studio needs the project to be 100% planned out before they commit a single hour to it.
Such as?

So it's a genre of game known for having a scope as large as the human imagination and a ruleset to allow for an incredibly vast amount of actions and events. And you think this is easy to implement into a piece of software.
So not only didn't you played the game, you didn't even played the tabletop either or any tabletop for that matter.
It's good to know you're willing to talk so much about things you have no experience with.

It was always their money in the beginning, they requested money at that stage from Activision and got shafter. You're already wrong here.
But just to make you look even dumber, they kept working on it for those 3 months for free just because they cared about their game that much.
Do think about it for a second yourself.

I dunno. Maybe she looks better from the neck down. She may not be good in the face, but dat voice is a 10/10.

team andromeda comes to mind
clearly not very much if they couldn't get basic synchronized tracking right, something even goldsrc supports.

The company that only survived after being merged with Sega? I guess Arkane comes to mind too after being bought by Zenimaxā€¦

You can throw all the buzzwords you want, that's just moving the goalposts. And since their focus never was multiplayer, why would that be a problem?

I see you dropped the "it's simple to implement tabletop", "it was Activision's money" and "they didn't had a plan" point.
I guess we are done here.

Andromeda was always a part of sega, you don't know what you're talking about. They merged with other internal teams after their last game, a team with 0 failures but numerous problems they overcame incredibly quickly and produced the most impressive games on the system they worked on.

That's actually been my point since my first post in the thread:

I don't think you know what the phrase "moving the goalposts" means. They couldn't use a simple tool that's been in their engines' tool set since the 90s. Incompetence at the purest level.

...

Can we stop pedantically harping on the flaws in the game's development and actually discuss the greater content of the game itself? Sheesh.

Hunter: The Reckoning vs. VtM: Bloodlines. Nuff said. When I ran World of Darkness tabletop with friends, it was always great - unlike whatever was happening in VtM:B. It was more or less cartoony garbage, as far as I could tell.

Gladly.

What is that guy in the dinner that you later end up fighting? That guy that you meet in the diner when you're doing the Lily quest, that you can try to talk with but he doesn't say anything.
Are there any dialog options if you have high charisma or similar?

Is he just a very powerfull Gangrel using his Warform or is he a werewolf in Garou form? I don't think that's every mentioned in the game.

Also, what happened to that project that was about redoing the game in a new engine? Last I heard, it had a C&D from Whitewolfā€¦

Pretty sure he's not a garou, there'd be a fight if he were.

If he was a Werewolf, your ass would be grass and ash.

And yes if you have a reasonable amount of CHA you'll be able to convince him to stop his shenanigans.

And about that project I believe they "stopped" working and pretty much replaced all of the names and surface stuff so they wouldn't get C&D'd again.

Textbook using sage as a downvote.

What? Why? I though werewolves were kinda spirit warriors that stalk the night to hunt demons and other nasty shit. Why would he immidatly attack a vampire, especially if he had no pack or formal werewolf education lmao, implying they are educated at all

Project Vaulderie was the name they went with but it hasn't updated anywhere at all for a year at least. They even had multiplayer working.
Do you know what name they go by now?

No, not really. You'd be closer to Twilight if you mentioned the werewolves instead of the hunters and you'd be closer to any point at all if you didn't said "pen&paper vs videogame"

You're also invoking the "it's fun with friends" argument, for tabletop on top of it.
Twilight is shit but it's far from cartoony.

The juries have raised their panels and it's an 7, 8, 7 and a 6 for that double brain somersault. Try again next year.

go read some more minds, SJW cumguzzler

No clue on what name they got going now, sorry m8.

VTM:B runs on the old World of Darnkess lore, where werewolves see vampires as agents of the Wyrm. Anything that's even perceived to be Wyrm-related has a kill on sight order, no exceptions.
I'm not sure what the NWoD take on werewolves is since I don't follow White Wolf shit anymore.

proof you can't argue with fanboys: the post. You enjoy your own flavor of mental gymnastics, faggot

Oh, that explains it. I never read the core book for oWoD for werewolves.
I probably should since they have the better lore, despite nWoD having better rules.

not an argument, moving the goalpost, Argumentum ad lapidem, etc, etc

is there a mega for this game or something? i always hear you niggers say you shouldnt buy this game, ever

Sorry newfag, no matter what you say using sage as a downvote like you are is pathetic.

This whole game was SJW cancer from beginning to end. All it gave was an outlet for 30-something, tri-colored, ham beast to live out the edgy life that their too fat and ugly to experience. Kneck-breads that play this shit are just as worse. It's always some 500 pound hacker glued to his shit covered, semen speckled, gaming chair that faps over larping to this BS.

guess I'm still using it wrong, huh? when will I ever be as savvy as user-kun and learn how to post properlyā€¦.

In its defense, the game was made during the Bush Administration. That fact neither excuses the narrative's grossly favoring the Anarchs nor its wholly unfair treatment of the Sabbat, but still, the game's inimitably gritty atmosphere and its replayability deservedly earn the game prestige as a cult classic.

can't read, willful misinterpretations, sucking massive cocks, etc. etc.

She's a qt - you should get new glasses, user.

I don't know what to say, user.

Ssssshhhh - there's no need to be upset.

I know being a virgin neet lowers your standards, but please, once you hit bottom you don't keep digging.

The atmosphere in the game was terrible. It felt like what a suburban edge lord thought California or New York night life would be like from reading too many shitty vampire books

Most mods are buggy pieces of shit and the Antitribu mod is pure 100% nothin personnel kid edge.

We get it, you're too young to grasp Vampire as a 90s franchise. It's okay.

Take the "fey blood" background to zip around longer.

Does he look like a werewolf to you? Compare him to that webm:

Learn torrenting. Problem solved.

ITT bad baiters and retards falling for it

What was the best area in the game and why was it Downtown?

Clans was actually pretty stable for me. Didn't have any major problems with it.

Think you mean Hollywood.

She may have dat voice, but physically, Pixyteri's hotter than her, and THAT'S saying something.

Shame on you

This was very, very low effort.

Don't your Elders teach you anything these nights, neophyte? The Anarchs do recruit into their ranks and don't perform acts of charity, just like the Camarilla. Their methods are substantially better and it's understandable that lesser creatures would find them far more atractive but at the end of the night, it's still the very same thing with a rebellious coat of paint.

Nines did not saved you from the Sabbat just because he has a bleeding heart. It's a propaganda act, caring for new fangs, impressing both them and everyone else, because good reputation is all Anarchs have and the only advantage they can lever against the Camarilla. If you believe for a second that him helping you was any different than Lacroix sparing you in the theater, you're being willfully ignorant.

Do note that the actions of Lacroix are not excusable in any way whatsoever. You can meet greedy vampires and elder vampires. But you'll never meet a greedy elder vampire. Those that care to play this game for the long term understand that all things eventually come to you with enough patient, no need to go chasing ancient sarcophagus.
Oh and spare me the "do your thing, I do my my thing". It breeds trouble and weakness among your ranks. You Anarchs will be the downfall of Kindred and if we are ever found out, it's gonna be because you didn't want to infringe on the liberty of someone that was too carelessā€¦

On the contrary. By the end of the game, you end up being immune to Lacroix Dominance and you slay Magilla Gorilla or even the Lin Kuei bitch.
Your actions affect the whole area and you're taken very seriously by everyone else as a major power player.

Apart from your ghoul, I have no idea what you mean. And even that is pretty much your choice, you can save her if she means more to you than just as a ghoul.

Because Santa Monica was small and had too much backtracking while Hollywood was just a very long road.
By contrast, Downtown felt really big with decent landmarks and the Tremere Discoclub looks amazing squatting next to the other buildings.

But you're still wrong, Chinatown looked even better. Much bigger and with more contrast in architecture with variance in color schemes and the best NPCs.

Get all the way to wiping out the Sabbat quest
I spent about 6 hours on this. If I can't find another way around it I'm calling it fucking quits. What's there is good but I've checked every source of information I could get my hands on with this problem and non of them work. I'm using the GOG version. Guess I'm just blogposting more than anything. I've wasted 15 hours on this fucking game and I can't tell if I've done something that will irrevocably fuck my playthrough 4 hours later or not. I feel like kicking a fucking wall.

Thinking about reinstalling this now - and actually finish this fucker - which clan should I pick?

Anything but Nosferatu or Malkavian.

If you're melee type of guy I suggest Gangrel. Protean will basically make you a god in melee. If you like ranged weapons, Toreador. Auspex and Celerity make a great combination

Is Protean damage based in Brawl statistic or is it separate damage? I find myself never using it because I always do more damage with Blood Buff and a good melee weapon despite being the same level in both Brawl and Melee.

Iā€™ve played as Gangrel & Toreador in the past. Gangrel is probably my favourite.

Not gonna try Nosferatu or Malkavian any time soon ā€“ probably not Tremere (bloodsucking gipsies) either.

So either Gangrel, Toreador or Ventureā€¦

It is not seperate, it's based on your Unarmed skill. I think you can get it to maximum of 10 normally(5 from Brawl, 5 from Strength) and IIRC if you have 5 pips in Protean you also get a bonus of 10. With a unarmed of 20 and having the insane defense that also comes with Protean you're pretty much unstoppable.

One thing to note is melee skill doesn't affect it, that only applies to weapons not unarmed

With or without one of two community patches, either by Wesp or Tessera?

Gypsy kindred are Ravnos, not present in the game.

patches-scrolls.de/patch/4647/7/
Well? Does it ring a bell?

Both. I used Wesps without any of the addons for the first one and the second one was the unofficial patch. I think it was V7 or something but it definitely worked fine until Hollywood. I think it was more to do with my computer or something since apparently people who have used the same exact download as me have have 0 issues. It's just a curse I have I guess for everything I want to do on this machine to fuck up horribly without anybody knowing a solution. I'm sure I'll figure it out.

Crossposting from /tg/:

Bad news: your office coworkers are possessed by Tim Curry from FernGully. Good news: you're 400 pounds of muscle and barely contained rage. Go kick Tim Curry's ass.

You ever wanted to be border patrol? Just you and your pals, alone in the wild, watching the stars go by? Drinking beer and shooting the shit, and occasionally shooting an illegal immigrant? Well, now you can! Except the illegal immigrant is a flesh eating monstrosity that looks like Tim Curry in IT. Go kick Tim Curry's ass.

Pic related.

Why does Tim Curry look like the Pedo Dungeon Keeper?

And just how exactly does a game with werewolves even process itself?
Mages and Vampires are simple, players join up in a coterie\covenant and go solve problems to keep their kind intact and secret, having resources they both have to manage and controll (tass\blood).

Werewolves however don't seem to have the same level of organization or drive, just keep the ley lines clear and go for a walk every now and then to those focus points. Is there something similar to the Camarilla from oWoD or the different societies for vampires in nWoD for the Werewolves that tells them what they should be doing?
Because otherwise, I have no idea why they'd be arsed to hunt spirits if it's not something personal.

So at what point does Knox stop hanging out around the hospital and is there any other way to save Poe if you didn't figure it out besides Murcuro's dialog? Seriously this fucking game has such subtle ways of fucking you over for the rest of the run. Normally I'de just roll with it but I saved her last run before my saves corrupted.

In Apocalypse, the spirits hunt them. It's Werewolf Genocide and the whole world is pozzed and out to get them.

You either play eco-warrior and try and take down corporations polluting the planet with literal and metaphysical poison. That, or you try and repopulate your species by protecting humans and dogs with werewolf genes, in the hope they'll pop out a werewolf one day and/or using your teen wolf edge powers to bang every dog and human you see. Werewolves aren't allowed to bang each other because they have sterile, mongoloid babies with freakish abilities. It ultimately doesn't matter, because the bad guys have already won. Nihililism is an actual game mechanic; you take the black-pill and lose your werewolf edge powers.

If you play the game as intended, you're a dog-fucking luddite that wants to destroy civilization, that lost a war with an army of even worse degenerates. These degenerates that want to destroy reality, by giving reality AIDS and fucking it to death while eating it.

???
Last I checked, the only way to save her was to tell her to fuck off before you went Downtown in the late game.
Ghouls are always trouble, especially when you care about them. The tabletop is much more hardcore with them from what I hear.

yeesh, and then they say tzimisce and walking furniture is weird or degenerate.
that sounds like an RPG for hippies.

He meant how to get in the know about the mechanics of creating ghouls. If you are ignorant of that when you visit the hospital, you can't save her from bleeding to death there.

He's talking about saving her from dying from the wound, in hospital

If you're playing you probably found Knox already and learned about Ghoul things, if not continue playing you will find him again

Is her father nigel thornberry?

I tried to save her and couldn't so I don't think I've spoken to Knox yet and the dialog option Murcuro is missable. So basically I'm replaying the game from the start for a 3rd time. If it weren't for the fact that I'm going to be real fucking busy the next few months and only have this week to myself I wouldn't be doing this shit.

MERCURIO

MER. CU. RIO.

IT'S FUCKING MERCURIO YOU ILLITERATE FUCKING RETARD MONKEY

Lad, you'll meet Knox again. He isn't a plot character but he appears again and IIRC you can learn how to make ghoul the second time you met him. If you want to know exactly where he's in Asylum, just near the blood doll, after you get the Astrolite

He gets arouuuuuund

You need to calm down.

nani

Thanks, I've been in the Asylum a bunch and never saw him there so I would have never guessed

You should pay more attention to your environment and characters, you're going to miss side quests otherwise. They're not too important but they usually tie in to the main quest and the extra XP is always nice

I usually search for dialog in each NPC I meet that looks in anyway unique. I've just been unlucky with a few situations is all.

Everything is terrible, and Coast to Coast AM has gone to shit ages ago.

I know that feel. I started listening to Nightvale solely because there wasnt enough supernatural/conspiracy theory themed radio stations in my life.

...

I know, it sucks. Let's soothe the pain with some Deb, shall we?

It's cancer, fam.

...

Deb isn't even a fucking NPC in the game, she's a 400 pound woman on the radio that you never see.
Top kek.

That's even more kek. God damn. You guys lust after a character who treats you like a cuck, and her VA looks like a MTF. I guess that's why you like her so much.

Make one, bro.

Speaking of Vampire, what the fuck happened to that hot topic meets Dracula bullshit MMO they were working on? Feels like it was forever ago that they announced it. Seems to be vaporware just like this oneā€¦

Didn't they confirm it shitcanned a while back?

It got cancelled a while ago

Probably for the best, it was just going to be Vampires anywayā€¦ World of Darkness is far more robust than just Vampires.

I'm surprised Paradox hasn't announced anything new yet. Not like it would be anything other than shit at this point now, but I was still expecting it.

Let's be 100% honest, social justice proxisms in Vampire have existed since first edition in 1991. Nothing in any of Paradox's WOD games would be defying the history of the game. The game books used racist or homophobic characters, but they were always the villain character examples. The game has always been a social justice vehicle, especially since they were inspired by the works of Anne Rice.

I would hardly call anything in 91 even comparable to the batshit stuff that the Social Justice mob has egged out these last few year in their vidya. Back when you could just use racism as a vehicle to demonize a character because you were to lazy to think of something good and entertaining. The difference then though was they weren't blogging about how progressive they were for doing it all over twitter, and indulging themselves into their hugbox friends, regurgitating their flawed logic as fact over and over again to uncaring ears and the unfortunate youth that grew into it because parenting is fucking dead.

Is the gameplay fun? I was never interested after a friend showed me part of littlekuribo's Malik lp of Bloodlines.

Alright, but I'm just going to say, Hunter was a means to make Human characters villains. Re-read the Hunter the Reckoning handbook under the idea that all humans are race supremacists, and suddenly you start to notice that their anti-Vampire, anti-Werewolf sentiments go beyond just "we're defending our own" and start to hinge on the idea that "we need to purge all non-humans."

Tremere + Firearms

Honestly if I were to make a universe in which Vampires exist I would also probably touch on discrimination as well. I wouldn't relate it to the black struggle or anything though. But conflict is inherently interesting so prejudice against Vampires seems like a cool idea. I dunno if you're finding real world implications in the texts I'm inclined to believe you as I probably haven't read them.

Eh, it's likely a case of analysis paralysis kind of deal. You find something that gives you pause for thought, and it kind of consumes the process. But it also made me think of the Hunter in the VTMB game. The human-first guy who says all kinds of racist-like shit against Vampires just before you fight him.

As in most things, if you're looking for something I suppose you can find it. But I would compare it closer to colonialists vs indians than whites vs blacks.

They're not wrong though it is retarded that they use it to set them up as "villains", especially when a lot of the hunter groups are portrayed as basically a bunch of sociopaths

Reasoning with creatures that see you as prey and control significant portions of societyas the vamps do is just silly

You know I might not even be done with the game yet but based of what I've been given I'm leaning to agree with you about the whole wiping out anything non-human. In almost every circumstance there really shouldn't be Immortal and highly powerful beings of predatory nature dealing around with humans. More often than not (at least in what I played) there's humans in the crossfire of the Vampire ordeals and a lot of innocents "mysteriously" die. Often just because they saw something they shouldn't have. And if the indications I'm being given in the game are any clue. We're rounding up for a possible end of the world event out of fucking curiosity and to dispel rumors. I can only think how many times something similar has occurred many times in this universe.

You also need to consider that if these things stuck around long enough, that humanity would inevitably find out about Vampires and start to produce their blood in large quantities to make a fucking shitload of people all over the world nearly immortal. Thus leading to a bunch of fuck up shit. Seriously, if the writers for this universe have half a brain they've probably already come to this conclusion. Or maybe I'm all wrong on every point I made and the lore somehow explains everything I brought up. Who knows.

Reminds me of the time one of the Elders woke up and the Technocracy went full Space Marine over it. In the end a fight between a bunch of ancients ensued, and the Technocracy nuked the entire area.

I like Mummy and Changeling, but nobody ever played or even read those books.

Remember when Hitler united the Technocracy and the Council?

Eh, I am unaware of that one. Which source book is that from?

Is seduction broken? I have 5 dots in appearance but at Glaze and the geovanni mansion the pink lines didn't do anything (except give some dialogue).

I think it was back when the Nephandi were first introduced. Or an adventure made by White Wolf.

The thing was that they decided to stop fighting to stop the evil nazis from literally destroying the world.

Wait, so Hitler was a good Nazi and he decided to allow himself to be killed by the Russian dogs in order to prevent "the evil Nazis" from winning?

No, by being evil he made the two biggest enemies in WoD stop fighting

I just played Gangrel, focusing on unarmed and your disciplines first, firearms as a backup.
By the time I got to the part of the game where you have like 15 SWAT guys firing Steyrs at you, my soak was so good that I rarely took any damage from them.

CCP got scared because they don't do anything that isn't EVE and sold the MMO along with White Wolf to Paradox.

I remember reading a chronicle concept on /tg/ about a group of Argentinian german descendants acting like JoJo characters living in patagonia trying to take over the world by being councelled by Pappa Hitler from beyond the grave.

Originally the old world of darkness was written with each world being a stand alone, then they merged them a little later which led to a ton of inconsistencies that never got cleared up, hence all the various incoming "end of the world" events and the power level differences where vampires are head and shoulders above humans, but a human who becomes a decent mage can waltz all over all but the antediluvions

Yeah, creating a series of systems and saying they're all "in the same universe" makes people wonder how they're all supposed to work together, and it really doesn't.

The original idea though was a rock paper scissors system where Vampires beat Mages, Mages beat Werewolves, Werewolves beat Vampires. But considering demons all got that Goro/Khali shit going on where they all have perfect coordination in their 4/6/8 arms with a fiery or toxic weapon in each hand it doesn't really balance together.

I think they tried to fix that in NWOD but NWOD kind of does to World of Darkness what 3rd Edition did to all of the shit that came before it in Dungeons & Dragons. Tieflings now had a penalty to Charisma, everything that made humans special was gone, etc, etc. Basically unless you wanted to rewrite all of the shit, it was all a fucking mess so unless you wanted to play only new content, you might as well either come up with a conversion table or stick to 2nd edition for any campaign setting that isn't Forgotten Bullshit or Greyhawkā€¦

It seems that inevitably that some faggot who grew up playing an RPG system will one day be the faggot who overhauls the whole thing and makes his own house rules and world choices the new canon because he thinks that he knows better.

At launch it was suppose to be Vampires and humans only but they later confirmed Werewolves and Mages would release in updates/expacs

I can't find the source but I remember some user released pics, songs and even a guide to the game when it was canned

if you've finished the game before but haven't played malk, then do it

I played malk my first run and could understand the majority of the dialogue and story just fine. it was really a magical first experience that I wish I could feel again.

wesp

I also played Malk my first time through and would recommend it if you're willing to deal with the crazy dialogue. On one or two occasions I even got hints from the shit your character says to people. They can be built pretty well for stealth believe it or not.

Well yeah, they do have some of the most OP skills in the game.

Best reshade/sweetfx for first playthrough? Or should I just play without

Honestly its still going to look like a game from 2004 regardless so I would just play without that shit.

Source engine doesn't have much in the way of graphical enhancements. But that's okay because I'd prefer an ugly game that ran smooth to a beautiful game that lags every frame.

Wait, for real? Because I'm not on a good network for pirating. A friend of mine left a torrent seeding while at my university and got slapped with several hundred dollars' worth of fines.

People say not to buy this because everyone who made this game is done and dusted. The money will only line the pockets of the people who killed them.

So take that for what you will.

fuck off back to leftpol

Well that's definitely a strong argument for pirating. I'll try to find a Starbucks.

That part scared the shit out me when I played it the first time. Probably one of my favorite experiences in vidya ever, having no idea what the fuck to do about the crazy goddamn werewolf chasing me.

(checked)
I played Malkavian my first and only playthrough and had a great time. What's so bad about playing Malkavian?

Yeah I know it was first just Vampires, and their mortal enemies were Werewolves. There were rules for when a Werewolf attacked you, but basically most people just considered the rules "if a werewolf attacks you, and you can't turn to bats or mist, you're already dead." I imagine that Underworld (the film series) took a great deal of inspiration from Vampire, especially given that elders sleep most of the time, only one elder may be awake at a time, and that an elder waking up prematurely is seen as the beginning of the end as far as most clan's are concerned.

What a god awful pile of dog shit that fucking trash is.

Wait is this that series based off this universe?

No. VTM is based on the World of Darkness, created by White Wolf. Has no relation to Underworld.

In 2003, White Wolf sued Sony because of Underworld.

VTM:B has such a nostalgic vibe to it and I don't even know why. There's just something about that 90's - early 00's aesthetic that gets me. They managed to get the feeling of that time just right. I grew up on movies and series of that era and VTM:B caught the feel of that spot-on. I'm actually surprised there wasn't a not-Blade in the game. I had such a great time with it the first time through. I was enjoying myself already as I made it to downtown but then I stepped into club Confession. I was just getting into Ministry at the time and then I notice a familiar singing voice and the poster on the wall. Made an already memorable game into an unforgettable one.

Sadly there isn't much use for Seduction outside of maybe a couple of events and the blood dolls, much like intimidation. Persuasion is the goto bread and butter with the cup of milk and waffles for this game.

It's alright for female characters obviously but yea, persuasion is the go-to social skill.
Intimidation is basically "I want a cool comeback before provoking a fight".

Nothing bad, it's just the main reason why Malkavian is considered a second playthrough is because the lines the PC Malk uses can be extremely spolierific and fairly difficult to decipher for the player to figure out what they want to say. And for Nosferatus it's because they have to play the stealth game all the damn time and hug the damn sewers if want to go anywhere with a ounce of speed because getting seen is a masquerade violation which will be an annoying pain in the ass.

So I have never touched this game due to its setting and 90's buffy the vampire cheese factor. I am willing to start playing through it, but my only question is it always based in the real world? or does it have some fucked up otherverse and shit? I am starting to notice a lot of the old rpgs I use to play have that 90s cheese aesthetics.

The closest thing I'm aware of that has a fucked up otherverse is Wraith: the Oblivion, where you play as a spirit stuck in the lands of the dead.

Vampire is firmly grounded in the hellish reality that is 90s LA.

Eh, looks cool. I don't have to fuck any of these chicks right?

As long as you keep getting digits you have nothing to worry about.

Not exactly true. Perhaps it's because of wesp's patches but except for travelling between regions I don't remember using sewers in my Nosferatu playthroughs. People are basically blind, unless you touch them they don't see you

You're a walking corpse that has magical abilities or skills that will make them not care that you're not giving them the D.

Ah fair enough, I did forget they patched the fuck out of the Nosferatu more so than the others to even have it work on a basic level.

It reminds of a simpler time, when all you had to worry about was goth culture, and hackers in leather tropes were still a thing. Its sad well never get those times back.

Not only did White Wolf sue, they settled out of court in a confidential settlement. Put another way, even though every Underworld fanboy kept espousing how awesome Sony were and how White Wolf had no case, Sony said "shit, just pay them off and make them go away before this really costs us moneyā€¦"

I can only imagine that White Wolf felt they didn't have strong enough company assets to go through a full lawsuit, so they settled for whatever amount that Sony threw their way. And I base that off the fact that White Wolf doesn't exist anymore and likely continued to operate on the money they got from the settlement for the next 10 years before they sold to Paradox in 2015.

But in the lawsuit, White Wolf named 17 violations of Trademark, listed 60 separate items, and even had an author that wrote for White Wolf who was ready to testify that the plot of the movie loosely followed a story she had published some years before they began making the Underworld films.

People love to play armchair lawyer and say "I don't think they have a leg to stand on," but Sony wouldn't have paid that money if they thought they could win the case. They paid White Wolf money to fuck off.

Nostalgia goggles make the game a pearl.

See

Playing the game for the first time now and nah. It's a solid game. Only things wrong with it is the lore and the occasional CTD. Otherwise It's reminding me of Gothic in a lot of ways.

I've never had the game CTD. Are you using one of the unofficial patches?

That's probably why it features female NPCs that are poster girls for "unrealistic female beauty standards".

If you bother to look at them closer and talk to few of them, it becomes clear that differences between Anarchs and Camarilla are superficial. They want you to be their pawn, but unlike prince, Anarchs don't have power of authority, so they have to befriend you and gain your trust to recruit you. They are playing a good cop to Camarilla's bad cop, but both want the same thing from you.

If you buy it, your shekles go to Activision. Make of that what you will. GoG version worked fine for me with unofficial patches.

...

Yea. I went over the problems I've had with the game earlier. I'm about 90% sure it's a hardware issue.

That sucks man, it'd be nice if they'd released an SDK so the community could update this shit. They could do what other projects have done and release an engine that requires the original game assets, it doesn't violate trademark that way (so no C&D), the only problem is that it means just recreating the Sores engine.

Is this game not so reknowned because it is NOT a masterpiece? I think it's a really flawed game with gamebreaking bugs and glitches out the ass, too much running around and absolutely shit end-game.

Still love it though but would not call it a masterpiece. An uncut diamond perhaps?

So what's the deal with The Brotherhood of the Ninth Circle? Do they have formal ties to the Sabbat or they just another Gehenna cult? It's entirely possible they were aligned with the Sabbat and have since defected. In any caseā€¦

Arguments for Sabbat Pack:

Arguments for Gehenna cult

With the unofficial patches the game runs fine honestly. Most of my problems came from other stuff. While I wouldn't call it perfect if you remove every gripe you mentioned when it comes to bugs then it's still a 9/10 game when you consider how well it tells a story while also being fun. Maybe you're looking for something in the game that there's not? With me it was more realism until I started to accept that the world is inherently pretty cartoony. Probably due to budget and technical restraints. But I've heard the actual lore for this universe it kinda cartoony as well so who knows.

I think there would be shovelheads in their quests if they were a part of Sabbat. I'd also like to discuss them, the clan of Vick etc but the timing is shit, I'm sleepy as hell right now

Also during that quest, were zombies actually zombies or just drugged(or most likely mind controlled by Presence) humans?

My only real issue is the weird loading zones at times, the constant running around from same place to another, the fact that the world seems to be created for 3rd person play and forces you into it at points and as I said, after you get to Chinatown the game was pretty much there. I've replayed it twice now up to Chinatown and it's just no good from there onwards, kind of like how you here some people stopping DX runs when you get to the Paris/Vanderberg/Underwater base parts.

They bit you in the same way as the zombies from the Graveyard do. With the little bar that says "BRAINS!!!" and everything. So I'm assuming they were diseased abortions AKA people that died from the disease and came back to life for some reason.

But if I'm not wrong they use different model from actual zombies and if you use Auspex on them they have human auras, not supernatural one. Fuck I can't remember atm, I'll just continue posting tomorrow

Alright. I'll mention though that different models shouldn't mean anything since there's different models for enemies that do the same things in other places of the game. I'de have to check on that aura stuff though. Either way they were pretty much left for dead.

Played the game first in 2012. So fuck you.

I just miss shit like this. It was cheesy, but it had it's charm and was untamed.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the Project Vaulderie guys first try to straight up port the game to the newest version of Source but wanted to go with Unity because the Source SDK is such a pain in the ass to work with (and got slapped with a C&D as a result)?

If you go to Unity it means you're probably using different assets, because Source files are different. Then it's a C&D because you're using converted commercial assets you don't own. The difference is that you can't get C&Dd if your engine only imports already existing file formats. Like I said, it's remaking the Source engine. All you're doing is making an ENGINE renderer, and you're not making money on it (because Valve owns the file format). You don't even have to make it specifically for VTMB, but you can incorporate support for VTMB. They can't C&D you for an engine.

When you start making your own assets, using their assets, or making a project specifically for their shit, then yeah it gets into the legal rigamaroo, in some situations a C&D is justified in some not. They can't C&D you if your engine only accepts resource files and has no recreated/copied files of its own, and isn't branded specifically for their game.

Oh that would have been nice.

I just spent a half hour stabbing it in the dick and running for my life.

Yeah, thats the allure imo. The fact it doesnt really take itself seriously and is based on a harmless subculture like goths or hackers looking like theyre straight out of an 80s film. It was lighthearted while masquering as serious.

I was just thinking on it, and I think if I was going to make a standalone Source engine remake that uses Source engine files, I'd call it the FREEman Engine, make it use OpenGL 4.0 and make it Open Sores via some license that isn't the god damn GPL cancer license.

You're a good lad, user!

Reinstalled the game today, and played up to the Ocean House hotel. Decided to give the Ventrue clan a try for some variation - decided to go with the female, 'cause the male models all look pretty shite in comparison.

is the male Brujah protag supposed to be a nigger?

Where's the Malkavian, the Ventrue and the Gangrel? And lest we forget the very first Vampire movie villains.

Oh, wait, you did have Gangrel. What the shit.

What is the difference between Fallout3d/Skyblivion becoming mega hits and this game?

I'm half expecting that new Cyperbunk 2077 game to be very similar to V:tmb

Because of the lack of any new WOD games, I decided to start writing a MUD based on the World of Darkness, no promises it'll get finished, but I'll certainly try. Not going to use the traditional Storyteller System though, because it doesn't work too well for a game with real-time interaction and progression.

Going to write a system which seeks to integrate all the classes together in a way that it is balanced. And don't even say Godwars, because everyone knows that shit is anything but balanced.

How are you making it?

The casual had no footing in the market when VTMB came out. The mechanics were too deep. Casuals like a game where they can be the best if they just grind hard enough, which is outright impossible in VTMB.

Writing it in C++ using TCP/IP. After examining the code from Terraria and seeing how they put that shit together I decided to base my own architecture off of the way they set theirs up because it makes it easy to mod/extend.

And yeah, I know, Terraria is C#. But I'm not a fan of C#'s anal retentive bullshit where they force you to write everything as its own object. Not everything needs to be an object, ya know?

Yeah that. Also those games have excessive customization and fetch quests for OCD types.

Wasn't it heavily implied by the devs that Deb was NWO or something?
Or it's just a Holla Forums meme

Any advice for which discipline I should upgrade the most as Gangrel if I want to stand a chance in the sewers? Usually I just run like a bitch when I get to those giant preggo things. I can usually kill one but god damn do they soak damage or something. Also is Fortitude the only way to soak aggravated damage?

Yes/she was a Camarillia
But it was probably retconn'd by White Wolf who got hilariously butthurt over the game, probably for the same reason GW gets upset when non-TT products become cult hits

Smashing blood heal and drinking a blood bag might work. Blood bags also restore some health when used.

But I always stick to range against those giant monsters, a good shot gun or revolver should do the trick.

Here are the rest I could find in a hurry.

All of the concept art comes with Wesp's patch if you have it, Patch_Extras\Player Mods\Concept Art\

You know you only have to fight like one of them right? unless your hacking sucks ass

Shiiiiiiieeeeet - I went with the basic version since I wanted a pretty vanilla playthru the first time

It should still be there I think, I don't think it's exclusive to plus version of the patch

I finished a Gangrel game recently but I skipped the sewers, sorry lad. If you tell me detailed what exactly you're having problem with I might help you, but if you're that far into the game you should know how Gangrel works already. If you have enough blood packs you should be fine

...

I always stack up on blood packs and make sure my Odious Chalice is full before descending into the Sewer.

I'm actually playing a Gangrel, too. How are my combat stats, guys?

Strength: 2
Dexterity: 2
Stamina: 2
Perception: 2
Wits: 2
Brawl: 4
Dodge: 3
Firearms: 4
Melee: 4
Protean: 3
Animalism: 3
Fortitude: 2

I probably already do. At the time though my build was more social and focused on melee than anything else. I'll probably do better this time.

I always find it better to stick with one type of combat (unarmed/melee/firearms) and pump everything into it. Rather than splitting it across multiple and being shit at everything.

Won't really make a difference until the end anyway I guess.

Check this:
beatrix.pro.br/galeria/vtmb-arte-conceitual/

I might be a bit wrong in doing this but I metagame a bit in the creation menu before the game starts and usually stack my beginning stat points into the same area so when I eventually max those areas out it costs a bit less overall.

I've found that when it comes to combat stats, melee is pretty much king until the midgame when you get better guns so it's worth to invest in both and in the endgame you get access to things like the Steyr AUG and the enemies just fucking wreck your shit if you don't use firearms yourself. So first focusing on melee and then slowly switching to firearms until the endgame where you complete the transition from melee to ranged is best, I feel. I've never felt a lack of XP to do this transition either since most skills are useless or only worth spending a few skillpoints into, like stealth which quickly becomes piss easy once you put a few points into it.

Wasted imo. Melee doesn't affect your claw damage and if you're a protean gangrel you won't be using guns anyway
Not completely wasted but could have spent better, for example in fortitude. Animalism isn't complete shit, you can still finish the game with it but compared to a complete melee protean it's bad I think

Nah that's right, I do it too saves some exp points

Cheers, mate!

Nah you don't have to transition to Firearms in order to beat the game. Firearms can be easier in the end with OP shit like the Flamethrower. But unarmed (especially Gangrel) and melee can wreck shit hard, especially with the Broadsword.

Well, I've never played as Gangrel so I really didn't know that. I should've added that you have to transition to firearms if you play as a clan that doesn't have close-combat buffs like Gangrel has.

I beat it as a Tremere using melee weapons.

Well, Thaumaturgy is so OP that playing as Tremere is basically easy mode.

It's only good against trash. It does jack shit to the big bosses. The sheriff and Ming Xiao fights weren't fun at all.

I didn't really find the final boss fights fun in any playthrough to be fun at all personally because it's just a slugfest without any fun gimmicks at all.

I meant to be honest, fuck.

Yeah other that the sheriff light thing, it was just a straight up fight.

I admittedly cheated here and there. I only gave myself extra XP to max out my appearance because the idea that it's an improvable stat when your character shows no outward signs of changing their looks is asinine.

I invested heavily into scholarship and intelligence for research, and after reading a book found in-game, I would always produce another one via the console to raise points. Like before, it's asinine that you can only improve the relevant stat by one solitary point even if it's the same goddamn book.

Before going into the sewers, I'll probably improve my stamina and wits.

You can make yukki a ghoul?

I'm guessing you can only do this in some mods.

Wait, did they get asshurt over even more than the cab driver being Cain?

By the way, do any of you have a working link for this? I'd be grateful: forums.planetvampire.com/bloodlines-modding/vtmb2010-up-7-0-cqm2-0-cm1-4-ce1-3/msg83583/#msg83583
I know that I can use Clan Quest mod and that has Companion mod already, but that's the lite version which allows only Heather and Yukie to be companions. I want others too

Companion mod
