To be fair, that literally isn't Ike. It's an Einherjar copy, the point of those being that they're magic cards that can summon fake versions of famous heroes. The game makes a point that the cards look different because it's how the card's artist imagined they'd look from the legends they'd heard. (More of a half-assed excuse for having Celica's done by a hentai artist, but alright)
If you really want to you can just summon Spotpass Ike, and the art for that card is a sepia tone of his PoR art.

Nomura can at least make lots of pointy edges look neat, but Mythos Zero seems to be trying to make him look like the Wing Zero for no reason. The markings and warning labels make sense on a mobile suit, where people are climbing all over the thing when performing maintenance, but on a robo-person it's like a bad tattoo.

Halo 4 Grunts are pretty terrible.

Most people hate all of 343i's designs, and while I agree most of them are sub-par, I don't hate a lot of them as much as others or actually think some are fine or good (I think the jackal subspecies looks fine and the halo 4/5 elites look great, I just think their armor is stupid). But I completely agree that the Grunt redeisgn is terrible.

They were canonically arthropods, and the Halo 3 and Reach design as a result looked very crab or almost ant like with a visible knobby exoskeleton (in 2 and CE the graphics really weren't good enough to determine what it was)

Then in 4 343i changed their design to look like some reptilian knock off of the globin things from gears of war, and explained it that the UNSC was wrong and they weren't actually arthropods,but merely a species that had an exoskeleton in some specific subspecies and in some not, which is retarded, because an exoskeleton isn't the type of physiological feature to vary like that and the Halo 3 bestiary which established they were arthoropods are canonically Forerunner records,not UNSC records. The Halo 5 design fixes this somewhat, with the arms and legs and such now looking as they should, but the face still looks stupid

I actually don't mind a lot of the changes they did make: As I said before, I think the new jackal design is fine since Jackal's having subspecies has been a part of the lore for a while and it still looks plenty avian and simiar, just with a stouter jaw with bigger teeth; and I actually REALLY like their elite design, it's just wieghed down by terrible armor. The face/body proportions themselves look good.

Likewise, i'm pretty neutral on the forerunner envoirment designs. I know a lot of people think it looks too Tron esque but if you look at how it's changed game to game since CE it's really not that much more of a difference from Reach then how it changed from 3 to reach or 2 to 3 or CE to 2.

A lot of the new MJOLNIR designs are obviously ass, but I think the new warthog, mongoose, and pelican designs are fine and are updates in line with what we saw from the bungie games. I actually really like the visual design of covenant weapons in halo 4, they took all the cool visual design stuff reach did with them and made it even better. Hell, the Beam rifle looks more in line with the general covenant aeshetic in 4 and 5 then it did originally.

I'm more split with how hyper-organic covenant stuff looks in 5 and I agree it was an unesscary change, but I don't think it looks bad, either.

I'd be more accepting of them if she really were a princess more concerned with fashion than warfare after the events of the first game but that fur boa around her neck still says "warrior khan" to me.

I agree with you with the fact that using his original model is lazy, but the same happened with Richter in SOTN, whereas the saturn at least used his "Lord of the Castle" sprite.
Also, the Dracula X Chronicles was a terrible redesign for Richter, which is supposed to be on the top 3 of strongest Belmonts for training.

Castlevania Chronicles have the best looking one. But I liked his design in SOTN and OoE. My actual problem is that they're not consistent with his appearance, He randomdly appears as an old man and sometimes as an extremely young and hot person.

The word he's looking for is "line backer". And they are built like tanks. Usually because their job is to A) push the other linebackers around and B) tackle the quarterback.

Why? Apart from girly face, which is more of an art style thing, he looks pretty badass, fit and well geared. Not to mention actually functional hair cut for once. I think it's great redesign.

I liked the change for various reasons. First, Rondo Richter looked too Japanese, and that clashed with the whole European atmosphere of, you know, Dracula. Secondly, the transition is pretty cool, since the Richter in Rondo is the one that come from Japan straight from his training, but the one in SOTN looks like that because he is now "European" with the whole lord of the castle thing.

Just the look and feel of it. Even before Castlevania went full Igavania, I feel like it ended up leaving behind what made it special. I don't know quite how to describe it. It's funny how games like Castle Succubus or Rusty seem to be able to evoke that classic feel but Konami themselves seemed to completely forgot how to do it after a while.

The more I learned about real armor the more fully encased phantasy armor pisses me off, I'm okay with fantasy armor but once you realize plate armor is a series of pieces rapped tightly yet snugly to fit the body you realize there is no real way you can take off or put on fully encased armor especially the warped shapes fantasy armor tends to showcase like that guy's legs and feet. Plus some of those plate designs are also retarded but since models don't move realistically the vast majority of the time I pretty much only care if games go for a very real aesthetic with no cartoonish elements.

Other examples of the second Ike's armor is that his torso can't bend sideways because of the one small metal bit that's getting in the way between both the part under his arm pit and the rest of the overlapping plates which actually would allow more more movement without it. His chest piece has some key flaws in the overlapping plates that don't even let him bend forward that much or turn his chest much and locks his torso in a very straight posture which would be okay but the shit covering his shins and the armor being pressed against the part just pressing against where his legs and hips connect locks his legs and cripples his mobility so severely when trying to life his legs he can't even knee somebody reliably most of the time (this is something I learned from my dad teaching me self defense) and he'll be very uncomfortable turning his hips.

You asked for it by pointing out that it bothers you, the best part about the knees not being able to lift is primarily due to all the flaws I already pointed out that lock the armor in place the way it does and being so long that it is reaching his shins like that, if those were removed or changed then the one solid piece around the waist would not be applying unnecessary pressure and would not interfere with his shin's movements so much. But all he has to do is bend forward or sideways or even try to turn and his mobility is right fucked, which just so happens to be an instinctive reaction to sudden danger and immediate responses to attacks.

The original version of NG3 is pretty dog shit but NG3 razors edge fixes a ton of things. It's not as good as NG Black or NG2 but is still worth playing if you find it cheap. The story is still crap though.

How does 3 fix boring gameplay? NG2 had you atleast mess around with different weapons and styles of combat. NG3 was just "Here's your sword…". The game felt so weak and devoid of mechanical content compared to the previous games, even with the multiplayer.
