if you use gw dagger you really don't need the cortana effect since you can do this : splitting spirit ougi lol and data for days anyway you can use that cortana to replace the unknown but might as well use another normal multiplier weapon instead

There's no point in making a 2nd, Nova dagger is more useful.

By the time you can actually upgrade a baha weapon you will be rolling on horns, if you don't have a full magna weapon grid yet just craft a baha sword to get a boost.

The Saber, it gives both attack and hp to humans/draphs. If your at the point where you got your second bahamut horn, you probably need the fodder for your magna weapons, as Nova form needs skill level 10 (1800 points of fodder).

The bell takes 1 damage from everything, puts a field effect that stops you from using ougi and at two points in the fight will use a 1-hit KO move on one party member, it will also sometimes deal small damage to the entire party as well as try to put them to sleep and lower DA/TA rate

You can do that by going to your mobage home page, which is accessible from your phone start screen (scroll all the way down and press mobage).

Change to the tab that shows your avatar.
Press the arrow down button to open a menu.
Pressing the settings gear.
The very first option lets you see your email which will be blanked out by *, it also lets you change it if you can't figure it out.
The 2nd option lets you change your mobage password.

As for the monkey challenge quest, just bring multiattack buffs, clear, and maybe a revive and you'll be set. Element does not matter. Multihit skills will be good too. You can't ougi at all.

legfest is when the drop rate for SSRs is doubled. Just save all your crystals and or tickets for then. You'll be more likely to get something good. Also, don't do the single pulls that cost 300. Only do the 10 pulls for 3000, as they give a guaranteed SR at the very least.

Don't flatter yourselves.
Even the original Final Fantasy you could issue commands individually per party member, thus affording an additional layer of strategy where you split attacks to be most effective. In Granblue, you have no agency over the order of units attacked aside from which one gets focused first - which means you have no ability to splitting party members' focus depending on effectiveness of attacks. This is particular egregious because it means that unless you shell out hundreds of dollars, the best party you can realistically make within months of grinding is a mono-element Magna party. Furthermore, you can't choose between targets on ougis, which are a huge source of both utility and damage. This deflates the strategic potential.
Also, the entire basis of the system is that you lose DPS using skills, and the only way to cycle through the cooldown is to press the "play the game for you" attack button a few times. Occasionally, there is a semblance of strategic value in managing cooldowns, such as in HL Raids where you need to have Phalanx for every enemy charge attack or you die, but this is just a falsehood because there are often only two solutions to be found: The first having the specific skill required to negate the mechanic (Veil, Phalanx, Etc..) or the second having so much damage and HP that you skip the mechanic.
Which… we then return to the fact, you lose DPS by using skills, most skills have a low multiplier, and the best way around damage caps once you do hit them is Triple Attacks and Added Damage (see: SSR Ferry being one of the most broken characters in the game)… At which case, again, all you're doing is pressing the Attack button until something dies.
Let's not pretend this game is a great strategic presence. Most of its strategy comes in using what characters you have available to you because of the shitty gacha nature to make an actual synergistic team, but even that is significantly minimalistic compared to games built around that concept such as MTG or Hearthstone.

You make a mono-element magna party not because you can't have your party focus on different members, you create a mono-element magna party because it's the most effective thing to build damage-wise. Even if you do a half water half dark team, someone is losing out on attack, and not even really because of the weapons involved, because as we see with dark and light, a lot of their weapons are dual element, and thus on a theoretical level you /could/ build a dual element team, but because there are very few dual element summons to boost both elements in a grid, even in premium, the prevailing wisdom is to go mono-element.

This is going to be somewhat debatable for me, forcing me to pick whether or not to prioritize killing one target to me seems like an element of strategy that is far more difficult to choose than to be able to do whatever I please, but I get your point and somewhat goes back to what was said in point 1.

I blame thoughtless design on that, of both making skills have long cast times, and that MVP gets a red chest, because that only rewards short term high damage low resource gameplay.

That's because you didn't look for any more solutions. Phalanx + buncle just tends to be the quickest and easiest solution for most mechanics, but as with Grueler's multi attacks back in during A Peace of The Pie, you could nullify the damage with cover + dodge.

I am making the argument that the combat of the game itself has very little strategy to it. Which is true. Most difficulties in the game come down to if you brought the right skills (usually through the MC unless you pulled one of the rare SSRs that can do it themselves - RNG to an ungodly extent) or if your grid is good enough to out-DPS the enemy.
You have next to no agency over the method by which your characters attack. Your choice boils down to, "Do I ougi?" Even comparing this to the original Final Fantasy on the NES, which I'm not sure how much more simplistic of gameplay you can get from that, from the very start of the game Final Fantasy offers you the strategic ability to select targets individually for your party, allowing for more effectiveness based on your party's strengths. To compare this to Granblue, let's say you know one of your party members will have a guaranteed DA or TA on this upcoming turn, but if you attack the same target as the last turn, they'll kill the target with one attack, thus wasting their DA or TA. However, if you switch targets, you don't kill anyone this turn. That's the lack of agency I'm speaking of. For the combat itself.
Almost all of the depth is in creating your party itself and finding unique synergies between who you actually have available, because while the meta Light team could be SSR Ferry/SSR Jeanne/SSR Juliet or something like that, the likelihood of having all of those characters as an F2P player within a reasonable amount of time is very low.. Maybe you have SSR Jeanne and have to figure out which SRs will work best for the lack of SSR Ferry. THIS is comparable to card games where unless you drop a lot of money on them, you won't have all of the best meta cards, so you have to design a deck per what you actually have available to you… Except instead of getting 40-60 cards, you get 4-6.

It's bad when a turn-based RPG has you wanting to press as few buttons as possible, and boils down to pressing the button that plays for you, in optimum conditions. This is a lack of strategy.

No. They're individually comparable to Granblue for different reasons. Hearthstone is comparable due to the grind to make up for F2P players, which is the primary reason I mentioned it. MTG has a lot more deck-building depth, and Hearthstone is incredibly dull and shitty… But I still argue that Hearthstone has more strategic presence than Granblue.

The battles don't call for the strategic presence of having a variety of elements; and because of the grid, having element - and a good grid is preferable to element + and a bad grid. This is in part because of the total lack of depth in the combat itself. In the original Final Fantasy, while the balance was bad, you could still usually make things for each character to do in a varied party even if they weren't effective in the specific battle, such as using HEAL/PURE.

Most solutions aren't accessible unless you pull specific characters. For example, having a character with Reflect means that you can skip the Carbuncle part of reaching 100% mitigation, but.. It's still the same thing. And that's really all of the strategy in the game. You either build your party to meet the mechanics or your build your party to skip the mechanics.

It probably boils down to a rotation of skills per their cooldowns. Figuring it out could have been cool, but it's still seriously lacking in depth compared to other turn-based RPGs, which see

Draws give you sparks, at the end of the draw period those get turned into stones.
Sparks can be used to trade for a character, stones can be used to trade for materials.

You get a spark per each draw, if you earn 300 in a single day before they convert into stones you can choose anything from the gatcha.

If you're rank 9 then you should just ditch your likely garbage account and start rerolling in 7 hours until you get her or somebody else you want.

I got some SSR's though.

Adding onto this, if you were to create your account during the upcoming legfes, your start dash ticket will have Andira, even if you buy the start ticket several months down the line.

Start Dash is up for a week after you make the account, then it comes each month for two days when you made the account. Buying it gets you a 10 draw and a ticket to get one character that was in the pool when you made the account.

Uncapping will come as you do additional content such as raids, daily dungeons, etc.

As for maining a party, find a SSR you like/see what you draw and work around with it.

Maining an element involves getting magna weapons from omega raids, which you aren't at yet and will take a while to get them when you are. Just don't worry about it for the next few islands and see what you get in legfest.

I recommend you look over some characters and see which ones you like in terms of looks and or kit. You don't have to be stuck in one element but you should look at what each element offers and try to steer in the direction of one you like.

As for summons, only a few of them are good enough to keep an accountBaha, Lucifer, Bonito, Tezcat, Athena, … so you shouldn't be to bothered by them.

You should also not feel obliged to spend money on this, the devs have grown more generous over the years and it's a lot more manageable to stay F2P.

He also increases his Light atk each turn. His multiattack bonus goes away if he gets hurt but his Light atk doesn't.

Cy releasing this guy really shows just how boring some other characters are. Characters like Forte, Halle,… who have a skill wasted on Crit rate just feel like they are missing something unique. Forte and Halle are particular in this case since Lucifer is a combination of the two with massive buffs and all the downsides removed.
