Neoliberalism, corporatism

He just wants a global market to run rampant. I find it funny how he's accused of being left-wing when he funded anti-communist organisations; Poland's Solidarity movement, Charter 77 in Czechoslovakia and Andrei Sakharov in the Soviet Union

Are there any people on the left who see a global market as historical progress?

Death

Normie-ism with SJW characteristics (also occasionally Technocracy)

I would describe it as "permanent capitalism." He's definitely a capitalist, but has more foresight than most other porkies, who can only see the profit right in front of them and thus drive capitalism closer to extinction, behaving as Marx predicted. Soros is smarter; while he has worked to destroy communism, he recognizes that unchecked free markets will lead to a revolution, so he wants keynsian-style managed markets that will keep the workers exploited but not revolutionary. He also supports a global geopolitical order in which the US can muscle any country into doing what it wants through soft power rather than direct military intervention (Putin is fighting this order, which is why leftypol gives him conditonal support even though he's no commie). Soros wants a capitalism that will never collapse under its own contradictions, making him one of our most dangerous opponents.

Open society idea came from Popper, ironically, it's correct. Epistemic liberalism =/= economic liberalism. The man himself believes in nothing though, total psychopath.

"you can marry whoever you want, sweetie. Just don't hurt my profits."

I wonder though, wouldn't this global keynsian order be closer to socialism than anything else we've got?
How is a return to national capitalism a la Trump & Farage any better?

Philantropic left-liberal capitalist (left-liberal in the sense that he supports and appears to believe in left-liberal politics such as social progressivism, humanism, etc.).

It's hard to gauge just exactly how much of his actions are motivated by his own idea and desire of making the world 'better' and how much is just his own individual loyalty to his greed or capital's destructive need to expand for profit.

not to mention that he profited immensely from the fall of the ussr

Surely this won't make revolution unthinkable and techno dystopia inevitable, and is preferable to temporarily preserving the culture that actually accomplished functional social democracy and produced all notable social thought, just because all nationalism sounds scary like it's the 1930's still and simply must be chauvinist and imperial or w/e, cos some Jew said so.

A neoliberal that also happens to like progressive social causes

Which is pretty fucking contradictory considering neoliberalism necessitates things like sweatshops

The global market was created back in the 1800s. It's certainly a part of societal development, but the time for socialism is overdue.

I disagree that it's overdue. We see that national differences persist to this. Couldn't a neoliberal economy break down the nation-state? What's wrong with regional integration under socialdemocratic institutions?

Liberal billionare. Sage for Holla Forums bogeyman.

You're a retard if you think he's not particularly bad.

He's a good villain to rally the normies against. Unless you think they're going to respond to arguments about the "financialization" and "bourgeoisie". 60 minutes interview has it all.

Bill Gates is a liberal billionaire, and quite richer, but he doesn't seem to be a political figure in the way Soros is. Why did Holla Forums pick him apart and demonized him? I think it's because Soros stands against the national capitalists (like the oil industry) that finance Trump and neoreactionary movements.

Just another liberal. He's an ordinary billionaire who just happens to fund more political things than your average billionaire. The only reason Holla Forums hates him so much is not because of some hidden anti-capitalism they have, but because he's a liberal.

A neoliberal economy will still retain borders and private property. Capitalism needs divisions.

Regional integration is ok but really it's more like supranational integration. The EU is top-down, not bottom-up

that and he's Jewish

Yes no substantive difference to a predator trader like Soros who's crashed whole country's markets for a dime and guys like Gates and even Zucc except his """political views""" (camoflage).

Imbeciles.

Read Zizek's 'Violence'. He's a so-called 'liberal communist'

I will.

Good points, I agree, I added some wishful thinking.

What is a predator trader? How it different from a regular trader? Is it just a trader who is good at his job? Should we stop trading? ARE YOU A COMMUNIST?

I think that Soros is for a globalist economy, which threatens some national industries, who in turn fund movements like neoreaction to bring "their jobs" (their profits) back. Basically businesses that can't compete in the global market anymore and have to deny science and threaten with the full might of the American military to survive.

I'm literally
But you're a frivolous, ignorant faggot, so it's gotten lopsided.

...

I don't understand, did you mean to quote ?

I personally think he just wants to watch the world burn.
He's old, and rich beyond the dreams of avarice.
He has the money, power, and influence that used to be the sole province of nation states, and is apparently not content to rest until he's shit on everything he sets his eyes upon, be it liberal, conservative, progressive, etc.

He seems to like creating social chaos, and is in my opinion, the closest thing we'll ever see to a Bond villain in real life.
Wish the old fucker would kick off already.

This doesn't look like his plan at all to me. It seems that there is some goal he is trying to achieve and at least some ideological motivation behind it.

I've heard that he's pretty senile now and others are running the show, so yeah, there's that.

I don't particularly care about him as a person, just his political significance.

Chaos can be a goal.
And it seems to be his, or at least it's the most often seen outcome of his machinations.
Whether or not it's by design is not something I can speak on with authority, but I can say when he does finally die, most people will be glad for it.

The friends he does have seem to be universally awful, and I suppose it could be amusing to watch them try to put lipstick on that particular pig, but he won't be missed by anyone who hasn't directly benefited from him.

Dude did he fuck your gf or something
