This is sad. Everything has degraded to the point where an episode is one joke (these peripherals make it impossible to play the game, hurr) stretched over 10 minutes featuring the absolute worst celebrity nobody I didn't even know existed.

It's clear just by looking at him that he doesn't like doing this. He wants money, but in an era of memes, clickbait, fads, let's plays, and reaction videos the Nerd is barely a blip on the radar. He gets a fifth of the views that videos pumped out every other hour from big channels get. He probably makes less than people who draw furry porn. Furious Fernandes does better than him. But he keeps doing his show month after month for over a decade, steadily burning through material. And it's been bad longer than it's been good.

The last thing he made of any merit is the Fembusters video because that's the last time he's visibly cared about something. But since then, he's been content letting his awful friends talk about their shitty opinions while stepping in every now and then so he can get by.

It's far much better than the toxic avengers video. I like the nerd more when he talks about the games and their history like big rigs or action 52 or even beat them during the review like akiri warriors or Rambo. The ghostbusters review will always be the best episode

The Mega Man episode was basically about how he didn't want to do this anymore but also didn't throw it away, so he'd only do sporadic episodes for special occasions, while shifting most of his focus elsewhere. Notice that his last two episodes were holiday episodes, and even before that, there were very few non-holiday episodes over the last several years. He just loves the fuck out of Christmas and especially Halloween and wants to always do specials for them.

At least the Toxic Crusaders video had a guest star who actually did something. Maybe they had to tell you who he was since he's behind the scenes, but he's an actual creator who was relevant to the subject matter.

Beavis and Butthead was arguably worse. But the absolute dumbest is the James & Mike episode where they play Indiana Jones for N64 and literally don't press start to check their inventory in a game that they acknowledge is an Ocarina of Time ripoff.

Still think C64 is the dumbest. He says the game has no music, while using music from the game in the background, and then can't figure out what button to push for the wall when it's the same button you use to examine literally everything else in the game
