Fullderp is a game where one of us declares himself the champ and takes a ragtag team of six Pokemon assembled by anons into an online competitive Pokemon battling simulator!
When the current champ calls "new champ", the first poster to claim it is our champ. The first six legal Pokemon suggested once champ has been claimed or "new team" has been called will be the team our champ uses to battle. Suggesters are not to make multiple suggestions for a team unless 15 minutes have passed since their last request, or if the champ specifically asks for re-requests. The champ will be battling in [Gen 7] Pokebank OU unless he specifies otherwise. (Things are in an awkward testing phase at the moment. Regular formats will be determined sometime this month.) Now, the New Age of Fullderp and its champions are forced to deal with the monster that plagued Fullderp from Ages Past.

I'm gonna be replaying Pokemon emerald soon and I want to play it as if the competitive scene actually existed in the game. Because it'll be happening as I play the game, it means that potential builds are limited until I actually get to the area where I can catch a pokemon I need. For example, Metagross isn't happening because you only get Beldam at level 5 after you've already beaten the game. One-use TM's also means I need to be careful with who gets taught what, because if a pokemon on my team will get replaced later than there's little reason to waste a TM if it can't be replaced and it's needed by another Pokemon further down the line,
My plan is to pick Mudkip to get Swampert because it wasn't until after Gen III that Blaziken became the destroyer of worlds. I'll grab a bunch of zigzagoons to act as filler spots so that they can get me free shit while I'm farming for the other pokemon I'll be getting.
I'll get a Shroomish in the forest for Breloom, fish a Magikarp for Gyarados,
I'll farm for Ralts and Seedot on Route 102 (or just trade for Seedot in exchange for a second Ralts in Rustboro) to get Gardevoir and Shiftry.
Finally I'll grab a Lotad for Ludicolo.
and that'll be my starting team. I intend to get a Bagon for Salamence and a Skarmory once I get to the areas where I can catch them but it'll take a bit.
Any ideas for making my team even more unnecessarily tryhard?
