I tried to play enough to understand the beloved status and fail to see it. Would have made a nice anime or movie perhaps, but as a game, it did not feel anything more than travelling inside the heart of a weak willed impotent beta nu-male. It's cancerous, and there is no doubt there are many ICO tattoos out there to reaffirm it. As I watched the trailers and game play footage of the Last Guardian, I am reminded of those screaming in delight at reveals and conferences mentioning it's storied arrival and how lost this industry is to narcissists and those wishing to be something they can never be. These games are for people whose parents bought them a playstation because they felt they needed to grow up from Nintendo and MyLittle Pony and this hidden gem let them have a little of their old life back.

So Holla Forums is only interested in pushing an agenda, like everyone else in fucking gaming today, got it.

ICO was the most niche of the two, thus it caters to even less people.
Additionally, this is clearly a PS3 game that was then overbloated for PS4 release (and as a result, runs really badly).

It's not the worst game ever made, but it's basically like ICO.
A "meh, that was alright" experience.
Until SOTC this "series" didn't get big, so going backward instead of fowards isn't gonna drag in more interest.
