Fitness thread

I'm tired of being called 'slim.' I really need to start working out so I can feel confident or whatever. Sick of being a depressed piece of shit sitting at my comp all day browsing the internet, studying, and playing vidya. Today I realized it's as simple - and difficult - as "Just do it."
I want to be able to go to the gym lads. What motivates you to exercise? I already know that I need to be fit in order to not only portray the image of the left I want, but also for the more obvious reason of being able to survive a conflict should it arise.
Anyways, I digress. Post whatever motivational material you've got or tips to help me and other anons stop being skinny faggots.

...

Free weights and proper dieting for the fastest results.

I lack motivation and I'm way too lazy to get fit.

I'm thin and my metabolism is lightning fast I can eat what ever I want.

it's a win win situation for me.

I've been thinking of getting a pair of 25 lbs weights, so at least if I don't go to the gym I'd have those to occupy me.
I still need to do cardio. Probably the worst thing has been feeling like I don't have time with school and all - which is likely bullshit on my part.

Daily reminder that if you do not engage in physical labour you are not a proletarian and will be sent to the gulag on revolution.

Intrinsic motivation - once you see the first results, you will go even harder. I'm not gonna sugarcoat it for you, the first two weeks will be the hardest, but as a newfag, you will see results super fast.

It's just important that you do it correctly.

- Just do benchpresses, squats and rows, preferably with dumbell or barbell. Whenever you got the main exercise done, feel free to isolate whatever muscle you feel is your weakest. But never ever skip the compound exercises.

- I personally find deadlifts overrated and they take up too much time, and unless you are a powerlifter, you don't need them either, just do a lower back isolation every two weeks or so.

- Don't split too hard. I personally do a push day (chest, squats, shoulders) and a pull day (back, abs) and go 4 times a week, sometimes 5 when I don't have shit to do.

- Eat a little more than usual but don't go crazy with the food. Just make sure you have a little more calories than your body needs and take protein shakes - it's cheaper, takes up less time and is less gross than stuffing yourself with chicken or curd cheese.

Too lazy and depressed to exercise tbh. So long as I'm not fat idc

That shit is useless. Lift weights

Exercise helps with depression. I found myself a way to value myself more through lifting, raise my self-confidence and also helped me to restrict my alcohol consumption which was getting out of hand quite a bit. This probably sounds super shallow now, but you do feel girls recognizing you more, it's not a meme, it raises your appreciation for yourself.

I'm actually not a shallow person at all, I hate all the fitness fags on instagram and youtube, and when I go to the gym, it's deep at night and I have my headphones in.

I don't drink alcohol and I'm a spergvirgin so idk how much any of that will help

I can't afford protein shakes, what do? I don't know if I can even be bothered picking up a weight without them after trying without and having shitty gains before.

This doesn't sound good m8 but there are surely ways out of such a nihilistic agony, depending on how old you are, how you look, and where you live.

At least do it for the revolution.

I'm pretty sure you can afford them since they are cheaper than getting your proteins without it.

In my country, a small package of curd cheese costs 0,50€. It contains 25g protein. Eating this every day for two months would add up to 30€.

A protein shake package lasts 90 days when you take 30g per day and costs 25€ and it's yummy. Think for yourself.

Also, yes you should be bothered picking up weights, just feed yourself protein with normal food until you saved up for a shake. Remember that a shake is just a supplement that's supposed to make life easier, but you can get gains without it just fine.

I try but it's hard

I have a bit of a serious cashflow problem right now, but when I was doing exercise at least I had the motivation to make money and a better sleeping pattern. Certainly not getting out of my pit by becoming more and more of a broke slob with an otter belly.

The hardest part is the very first five minutes.

I'm a personal trainer feel free to ask questions.
However, you just have to go to the gym. It's literally that simply, you get up and you go and once your there you feel like working out. After you do that for like a month it becomes like a regular thing.

There are articles out there giving you examples on how you can get all the nutrition you need for 6$ a day with it still being tasty; you can google it.

pure ideology

Earlier I got one SpoQk.

I wish we had antifa gyms around here.

Only the crunches/sit-ups.

I wonder if this was posted on /r/socialism that it would be considered "ableist" to talk about this?

I'm working with a friend of mine whose trying to lose weight, right now I've got him doing what I did to stop being a fat fuck at the intermediate stage 2 days 45 min cardio (jogging/running/bike) 2 days weights (1 lower body, 1 upper body, abs both days), 1 day HIIT cardio, and 1 day doing a 1-2 hour walk. Is this good for him?

For myself I'm good, but if you've got good tricep things I can do with dumbells I'd be grateful.

I think one of our dregs needs to go find out.

what's wrong with normal ones?

What? Then why have I been doing them!?

They are full of fascists

really
in what country is that
just normies where i am

It's in Eastern Europe

poland?
no other places comes to mind when talking about that

Check out /fit/ OP. I recently started lifting for the same reasons (doing the Stronglifts 5x5 program) and it's going p well so far. Once you make everything a pattern it's really not bad at all. You start craving it, in fact.

That sounds good. I guess tricep kickbacks, but I usually do pushdown. I don't work my arms to much in isolation since I do push/pull.
