In the Holla Forums universe this is a good game. So clearly you people know how to fix the fucking AI

In the Holla Forums universe this is a good game. So clearly you people know how to fix the fucking AI.

Every single AI in this game was coded by a dyslexic suicidal child, and I can say that with impunity because it applies to every npc regardless of whether they are friendly or hostile. Combat in this game is like watching the special olympics.

I could tolerate the subar not!Tolkien worldbuilding if the gameplay was good, but the gameplay is unplayable trash. So clearly I'm missing something. What script did you guys download to fix the AI?

Not one person user.

And what universe you hail from, friend?

...

It's not just the AI that sucks balls OP. Dragon's Dogma has some really cool ideas for combat and then does nothing with it. Hey, you can climb on things and wrestle them to the ground and kick 'em in the nuts while they're down! But you only get to do it to two enemy types. Also, hope you're not a melee character because fucking flying enemies will ruin everything forever for you. And don't worry about two-handed weapons because you don't get two slots for skills, you get fuck all abilities to use with them. But hey! At least you've got a cool bustling hub city filled with all of four people! And enemy variety is a fucking joke. And there's no option to drop companions and go solo and get extra XP and become a single man demi-god instead of escorting the special bus around. And don't even think about dodging unless you pick that one class that knows how to sidestep or roll out of the way. But you can play the game any way you want with some awesome class variety! Literally fighter/mage/rogue stereotypes and you better have one of each in your party or you're fucked. I know Holla Forums isn't one person but this subreddit had such a collective boner for this game I expected something better than Japanese Skyrim with Dark Souls But Worse And You Can Climb combat.

even that nigger have more soul in his eyes than this human parody

Based on this thread not as insecure as you considering you care so much about a bunch of random faggots opinions.

Apply yourself OP.

SJW cuck game, do not play it

This thread has the lowest energy shitposting I've seen.

WOLVES HUNT IN PACKS

Czech em

...

I could never get into the game, myself.

It's just japanese skyrim
It's like that shitty bug game that the oldfags were pushing as amazing

Everything you listed is only applicable to one enemy type in certain situations and you won't be fighting them anymore when you're not a low-level scrub

Fix your pawn's inclinations so the AI prioritizes the activity you want. Kill more things with your pawn so they learn what things do and fight appropriately. Running in circles is pretty much just harpies and wolves and they only do it to be a nuisance.

lol. solvable as reds. wraiths and shit on the other hand are an actual problem.
its garbage, yeah.
its doable. you can just toss your pawn in the water as soon as you get them and you won't see them again provided you don't activate a rift stone
??
only casters don't have an i-frame skill. even then even pawns know how to use levitate to dodge shit like tail sweeps.
there's issues with the game but these aren't them.

I will give it to OP that pawn AI is lacking. I know /ddg/ liked to jerk each other off about pawn AI but the advent of CE proved pawns are unfixably retarded and occasionally have moments of brilliance. I wouldn't mind the shit AI if the devs realized it was shit and allowed circumventing some of the behavior with a tactics screen, so you could force mages to NOT climb that fucking firedrake. Pawns are a really, really neat concept and is the main reason I love this game, but using CE to view and modify values realtime laid the mystery of them to rest for me.
Enemy AI is alright, actually. Harpies and wolves linger around waiting for you to kill them, but later on shit like Living Armors, Hell Hounds and Grim Goblins actively punish you.

Never had this happen except when there's a huge group.

Wat.

What are you talking about, the fuckers kept sniping me from miles away.

Could the ai be affected by the cpu you are using? Japanese games are mysterious like that.

Fuck you I still love this game.

Make sure your pawns don't have either of the following inclination and you'll be ok.
Make sure your pawns inclinations are actually combat oriented.

Aquisitor will turn your pawn into a jew and pioneer can make them stray to far outside the combat area.

only problem I had with this game was the travelling in pre new game, everything else was pretty enjoyable..

Are you sure you're not describing Witcher 3? Because this is exactly my experience with Witcher 3.

Okay, I made that last post before reading the rest of this.

This is all literally 100% your fault lmao

tl;dr: git gud

test

This is bait with great deal of effort put into it so I will reply.

You can grapple hold all smaller enemies who are stunned which sets their defense to zero during it.

All boss type encounters can likewise be clung to. Depending on where you hold on to them it allows a variety of useful positives.

Legs: Keeping them from moving for cyclopses, making them losoe balance and fall for ogres.

Head: Easy damage for just about everyone and removing helmets from cyclops.

Body: Prevent gryphons and cockatrices from flying away, easy access to dragon's weakpoint.

Just to name a few.

Jump attacks with warriors can reach just about everything. Fighters have skyward slash or whatever to hit airborne opponents and both can lure them down by taunting.

Legit criticism. But you can still beat the game just fine with warrior. Three skill slots is all you need when warrior has only three viable skills anyways.

This game is about gameplay and combat. The story and the characters are an afterthought.

Wew, now that's where you went too thick.

Humanoids: Every vocation type acts differently.

Undead: Slow and meaty, gang up on you.

Skeletons: All act differently based on vocation, same as humanoids but are resistant to bladed weapons and magic.

Saurians: many types with variations in abilities such as cloaking, fire breathing and ability to use magic.

Goblins: Even they have variety in their AI, especially the hob and grim goblin variants. Attack patterns are very unpredictable.

Harpies: All variants have different abilities and debuffs. Ice ones have a splash frost atatck, succubi can suck out your blodo to recoveer their health. Gargoyle's are meaty and cna petrify you etc.

Wolves: A bunch of variations, fast, hard to hit, resistant to stuns.

There is. Fire the secondary pawns and toss your primary one in the brine. The assassin vocation is actually specialized in that very subject.

Fighters: Full Moon Slash, Escape Slash and Dragon's Maw variations all have invincibility frames you can use to get out of sticky situation. Plus you can parry attacks with your shield.

Warriors: Escape Slash likewise has invincibility frames or you can use their counter skill but it kind of sucks dicks.

Striders: Can roll and double vault away.

Mages: The only ones who lack a mobility option besides levitate. Specifically because they should always stay way out of range.

Assassins have two amazing counter skills with masterful kill and clairvoyance as well as parrying with shields, a shield dodge skill and strider's rolls and double vaults.

Mystic Knights have the best shield parries in the game that can kill anyone who attacks you outright.

Sorcerer: See Mage

Magic Archer: See Strider

Yes, you can.

You can't beat vanilla faggot. Also all you really need is a single sorcerer with you at all times to combat physically resistant enemies and to enchant your weapons.

I rate this bait 9/10

now THIS is reddit spacing

It's an unfinished game with possibly 75% of the original planned content cut out because capcom didn't think it'd sell and yet it's still better than most AAA budget trash heaps they put out and has managed to warrant plans for a proper sequel as a result of its success. I'd say the game is pretty solid in its own right. Maybe you should stop being a stupid nigger that thinks Holla Forums is one person and then appreciate the game for what it is, whether you subjectively enjoy it or not. The AI isn't even essential to play with, you practically solo the game later on, git gud you fucking piss baby.

Dragon's Dogma is not a perfect game. It's overwhelming sense of ambition and desire to be a better game is totally palpable, but several things held it back
1) Capcom. Given the way they handled every single other franchise, it would not surprise me if they fucked this up too in development.
2) Consoles. Since it was developed console first, that means limited disk space, processing power, complexity, fewer resources (leading to repeat maps and assets and content in general)
3) The hellscape that is developing a new IP in an era where game development is controlled by marketing and advertising assclown

Anyone who tells you the game is perfect is lying, but anyone who tells you its shit has not experienced that ways in which DD excels and utterly stomps every other game on the market in its amateurish, rough, half-baked attempt at making a western action RPG.

It has? When?

You can enjoy a game even if it has flaws. Some people don't mind the same flaws that ruin the game for you.

I'm curious if you learned any emotional intelligence during your time on Earth, because any human being that doesn't have the sadbrains realizes some people like things that others don't.

...

I really, REALLY fucking wish Capcom would just port this game to current gen consoles because my toaster can't run it, I don't care how much of a pleb that makes me sound. I guess my only hope right now is DDO, but is it any good?

...

Capcom made a statement after the PC sales figures were released that all but confirmed they'd work on it in the future, the producer also definitely wants to make a sequel if he can. It's not a full confirmation, but it's pretty damn close.

Why won't they just let him fully realize his games man.

Faggot

God I fucking hope there's a sequel other than that godawful DDO.

Hard mode is actually easy modo after a while, at least in vanilla. Not sure if it's also true for Bitterblack Isle.

'TIS WEAK TO FLAME, MASTER

...

Why do people like this trash game again?

...

Valkyrie Profile did the same thing.

The game is not good.
It's grindy, both player and enemy forces take too long to die, the scale of the map is neat until you realize it's pretty fucking empty and it has about as much enemy variety as an abstracted nes rpg map (but you have to plod through it this time), the plot and lore are either bad or just not there, and the writing is a few notches high of "insulting" but not quite there. At least you can turn off pawn chatter, thank God.
However I enjoy playing it (for free with online since I got family sharing from someone that owns it) if only because of the dress-up doll appeal for making warriors and waifus and warrior waifus and being able to just go around smacking shit with a great sword. Lining up bandits and bopping them on the head is marginally fun.
If you keep playing it switch off to warrior as soon as you get to the inn in the big city. I started as a strider (and you obviously did as well) and it wasn't nearly as fun.
Also, fuck off with Holla Forums is one person shit you tawnylicking goon.

oh another idiot who only played the game for 2 hours

About 10+. I'm still playing through it.

I'd give the game another shot if I were you, sorcerer, marcher and mknight all have great fun and flashy moves and BBI is fun dungeon crawl with more enemy variety.

Magick Archer a shit.

Do I have autism now, Holla Forums?

Alright, I'll try out some other classes when I have the time. And I'll go there whenever I feel I'm ready.

Don't put that shit on me. I hate this fucking game.

It really is. Then you get to BBI and it bends everything over to fuck their ass raw.

do you expect to be taken seriously?

I think Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate has a superior OST, if you haven't played it yet it's worth it.

MonHun music is amazing but I stopped at Tri after becoming a wage slave and couldn't have 999+ hour savefiles anymore.

Dragon's Dogma is fucking garbage

...

nou

No
Suck my dick, bitch-ass OP

holy fuckin shit fam kys tbh

Hard mode is only good for grinding out a shitload of gold. The huge amount of stagger resistance it gives to enemies just makes the game much less satisfying. I want to throw my enemies across rooms.

You casual niggers disgust me.

In Heroes there were tons of Shadow androids, the Shadow you play as is the real deal though, not a replica.
Now 50 yeats ago Black Doom, an alien overlord, visited Gerald Robotnik on the Space Colony Ark. He offered for some reason some of his genes to the Robotnik and he tried to make the ulti ate life form out of his genes. One failed attempt was Final Hazard, that huge lizard thing from SA2 and the other was Shadow the Hedgehog.

i wont post in your thread

...

I'm not saying it was complicated just convoluted and too insane to actually know for certain (for me) whether these lunacies were true motivations.

looks like a clear case of autism to me

Shame the fuckers aren't doing the same for Atlus games. At least Deep Silver got P5 right anyway.

Certainly better than Sticker Star, that's for sure.
Battling system is just not good at all.
The dialogue is good again.
It's kinda just there. Like a meme.

Where will Paper Mario go from here? What's gonna happen to the series? Will they realize their mistakes? Or will they make the series worse?

It doesn't consciously give them more stagger resistance, it's just because of the level disparity. The same thing happens with possessed pawns on Bitterblack on normal mode

you play too much

Yo reddit why you come here to shill?

it says 13.36 not 14, why would you round up?

its just 1 guy spamming requests

Whichever one was the cop, he kept being a fucking asshole to niko and everyone else.

Least Guardian

If you choose anything besides F you are a fucking normalfag casual scum

Most excellent.

www.sell.dat/shit

saying you want to go back is a safe choice nigger

there's no coming back

...

I like Bitterblack Isle a lot, except for Death. I don't know what they were thinking with it. Massive damage sponge that forces you to run away. It's really annoying, especially if he shows up deep into a zone that you've already spent some time clearing out.

...

I think they were thinking you'd fight him across several different encounters

I didn't think he could spawn before the scripted one on the bridge

i could be wrong on "who" it is, but literally like two minutes into the fucking dungeon that son of a bitch showed up and pulverized my pooper over and over

Yeah, I understand that. But, I do so little damage to him that's its not worth wasting my time on. He's also very uninteresting to fight. He has, what, 1 melee move and 2 spells?

The exact same thing happened to me. When I was finally ready to take on BBI the last I played this game, I thought it was strange Death didn't show up this time around. It is a bit dumb there's even a chance it can appear so soon.

Playing for the first time, what should I roll?

It's a good game because you can make lolis and romance waifus.
Nobody cares about gameplay.

Strider is the most fun class. Fighter is alright too. Mystic Knight if you want the most cheese. The magic in this game is cool and all, but it's not really fun to use since it's 90% sitting and waiting on cast channeling.

...

The charge times aren't any longer than moves for any other class unless you're talking about High Seism or Maelstrom or one of those Lv. 9 spells, and even then it's not that much longer than other Lv. 9 moves like Arc of Deliverance or that one-shot ranger move

come on man he has that image up in like five threads still in the catalog

There, translated for you

I'm not stopping anytime soon too.

I mostly played Strider, and the only move I remember that had a charge time was power shot or whatever, and I never used it anyway. I don't remember any charged moves on Fighter. Maybe I have bad memory, though.

I meant Reaper's Arrow and Great Gamble

How do I get pawns to mirror my spells?

I wasn't able to get into DD: DA.
/ddg/ and before it's release there were a good number of people on Holla Forums swearing up and down of Dragon's Dogma's brilliance, and I just wasn't able to get into it.
The combat was boring, AI was interesting at times but more retarded than not.

I looked up guides and tutorials because I felt like I was playing the game wrong the entire time, it just felt so hollow.

I'm pretty accepting to the idea that most of my problems with Dragon's Dogma could simply just me being trash at the game, but even after 14 hours of forcing myself to play it there's just nothing that hooks me in.

From most fun to boring:
-Warrior
-Mystic Knight
-Fighter
-Ranger/Strider
-Magic Archer
-Sorcerer
-Mage
-Playing Skyrim
-Assassin

fite me

Have the same spell equipped on you and your pawns. Charge the spell, but don't cast it yet, and instead wait for other pawns to begin casting too.

Should happen automatically if you're both the same vocation

You don't have to force yourself to like something, but I didn't enjoy all 30 hours of my first playthrough either because the Warrior vocation gave a really, really poor first impression of the game

Even if you accidentally put the list in upside down it's horribly wrong

...

You should lay off the cock, it's making you delerious.

now THIS is low-q b8

go back to cuckland faggot

So what's the next flavour of the month /v? When are you Anons going to get bored of STALKER, Grand Strategy, or just gaming in general? The day will come when you may only have your weeb anime shit left to cling to inb4 v is one person

I started hating anime before I started hating video games.

Damn spambots are adapting.

OR MAYBE THE PEOPLE WHO LIKE THE GAME AREN'T POSTING ABOUT IT AS MUCH BECAUSE ITS SEVERAL YEARS OLD THEY'VE ALREADY PLAYED IT A LOT AND THIS RECENT PORT ONLY RENEWED ABOUT 3 MONTHS WORTH OF INTEREST YOU WANT US MAKE SOME DOOS EXE THREADS?

If interest has gone down, why are all these threads shitting on the game popping up? Genuinely curious here. I would've expected all these threads to start getting posted around the time the PC port was released, so what's with the delayed kneejerk reaction here?

new people come in all the the time and then there are people who just recently played it.

The people who only played when the game was ported are the only one's who still care to make threads. Most people who liked it, already 100% the game years ago. I don't play/talk about it for that very reason.

Dragon's Dogma is the best game ever made.
That's not saying much, as vidya is shit.

Do I have to engage in all the skill and pawn autism if I just want to play this?

What would the minimum to pay attention to?

At least pay attention to your main pawn. Doesn't have to be much, though. Just make sure you upgrade its abilities when you can and that it has the abilities you want it to have. Then just give it all your hand-me-down gear. I never bothered with any of the pawn personality stuff. I usually just had my main pawn be whatever, then a third-party pawn for healing, and a third fighter or warrior to use as an extra meat shield.

You're a special kind of retard

Man, Daimon's second form is a ridiculous damage sponge. I'm lvl 115 mystic knight and my holy invocation magick cannon does fuck all damage.

It's because the marketers stopped getting paid to come here, so the ambient opinion that the game is shit stopped being shouted down by shills.

Use multiple cannons and buff with Salomet's Secrets

Come the fuck on

...

Is there a filter? and that post is not remotely organized into paragraphs

I quit the game after the cutscene with the dragon, I already knew that the game was going to be shit at that point.

Your attack stats are too low, use attack boosters. The attack break points you have to reach in order to do damage at all are one of the biggest flaws of the game.

He actually spawns about 4 times or so which I've had to deal with all of them in one run.

Jesus Christ. That explains A LOT. Man what the fuck were they thinking?

When using Salomet's Secret or any of the dmg boosting curatives do I have to use them before casting the cannons or can i cast the cannons and then use the potions?

I think it has to be before, should be easy to test. Assuming you can get an unlimited supply of them from Fournival

Yeah, I was kinda wondering that too, it's kinda out of nowhere, while the interest died out obviously, until very recently the occasional threads were still positive. What's with all those latecomers.
It was on Humble Monthly recently but do we have a bunch of good goys that pay for that ?

Dunno about everyone else, but my previous computer's graphics card was too old for the game, and I only just got around to pirating and playing it a couple weeks ago.

Did you seriously fall for the shills or did you pirate the game?

I saw it on Steam for $15 a few months ago so I picked it up. Only recently started playing it. I have 85 hrs played. I enjoy it, but it's not perfect.

Also, to add to this: Nearly all of that time is as Mystic Knight, so I can still get a shitload more time out of the game when I decide to fool around with the other vocations.

The game does lend itself to some great screenshots.

Mystic Knight is pretty cool, able to deal both magic and physical damage both ranged and melee with good defence so you can always do something in a fight and don't need to wait for your tardo mage to hit the ghosts or run away from golems until the pawns figure it out.
It relies on the cannon a lot to get damage done though, but I noticed similar problems with other classes and partially a fault of pretty damage spongy enemies.
I went Fighter -> Mystic Knight, where i was pretty underwhelmed by low damage at those levels -> Warrior for a long time, it had good damage but eventually decided it was too reliant on arcs which made it unreliable and was slow and lacking defensive options which made it a bad choice when starting BBI when I was still pretty underpowered for the new monsters -> Fighter -> Mystic Knight with a decent intermission as Ranger to get stuff for my pawn and boy does tenfold Flurry with Dragon's Glaze tear through shit. I think the time grinding as Ranger completely spoiled me on damage dealt and now everything dies so slowly.

It is kind of a one-trick pony with the Great Cannon but it has the massive advantage of being able to choose your own infusions and unquestionably the best shields and parries of any class. And there are a lot of little subtleties with just about every class where the different special abilities combine into more complex techniques in unexpected ways.

If you're looking for a new class to play you might try the other hybrid magic class next

amazing game, even with all the cut content, it beats memesouls out of the water.

although i gotta say, Warrior and Fighter are incredibly shitty classes. their damage is high sure, but their attack speed is miserable (specially warrior). the lack of an additional jump ability really kills the jobs for me. all the mixed classes have, at least, double jump, or levitation that you can perform with a staff, but warrior and fighter are fucked, they can't jump for shit, and in this game there is tons of treasure and collectibles hidden in spots that are truly hard or outright impossible to reach without some ability that boosts your jump, like double jump or that levitation magic you do with an equipped staff in the air.

to fix warrior i'd give them a lot more "push" when hitting, ie: make their hits have much higher damage than they do now, and also have more capacity for staggering opponents, staggering right now is dependent on damage and thats bullshit when you're a level 20 warrior trying to fight a level 40 bandit or grimgoblin, you don't even scratch their health or stun them momentarily with a huge slab of metal to the face.

also i hate both intro songs, the original one was worse, but i try to start the game before the "heavy metal" part starts because it completely breaks the immersion, there was no heavy metal in medieval times

just get the source code of Tay.

I'm tearing through BBI right now as a Magic Archer after spending a lot of time as a ranger, and then an assassin. After beating the game and looping through again, I spent some time as a mage to build up my magic in order to be a better Magic Archer.

It's easy enough to tear through anything in the main game and the Everfall, but BBI is kicking my ass and I've had to cheese more than a few of the bosses with friend pawns and wakestone spam.

Yeah, MA is by far the most overpowered class, especially for BBI. Garms and and elder ogres get deep fried by your richocet shots, you can take out a condemned gorecyclops with a single Ninefold Bolt eventually. I still think it was a pretty creative idea for a class and feels like the most agile magic-using class since you can use dodgerolls with the dagger, as well as Instant Reset.

i played regular archer. while MA has Sixfold homing bolt, Archer has tenfold-shot that can use ammo arrows, thats a lot more shots and if you can afford some ammo, oh baby…

Tenfold shot + explosive arrows = welcome to REKTOWN, population: whoever you target.

but no really, you need something that powerful (tenfold with explosives) to cancel Daimons dick vortex that sucks your pawns in.

Fuck that fucking move. It's making me mad as fuck right now. At least in his first form it's easy to cancel if you're already on his head, but in the second form it's fucking my shit up.

Grigori did nothing wrong.

Explosive arrows are a little too heavy to rely on that method for every encounter, but it is a pretty devastating technique

I used to hate it until I realized you can start preparing an attack while the "cutscene" is still playing, since you retain full control of your character

i cancelled it by shooting it a flurry of 10 explosive arrows right in his chestface from a safe distance.

If you're trying to cancel it with a melee, tough fucking luck, i hope you have a stack of stamina items and don't mind fighting the rest of the battle alone, because by the time you cancel it by grab+attack your pawns will be gone.

thats why i said earlier that melee classes are fucked. grabbed archers slash at an incredible speed without losing their grip, there is no better class to grab+slash than those who can use daggers.
What does warrior do? he hits them with the fucking hilt, yeah, thats right, 1 hit every 2 or 3 seconds with the fucking hilt.

another way of cancelling it is with Meteors, but good luck having that RNG as fuck spell hit him when you need it, the meteors fall at random, one of them will hit… maybe.

that's why you have 3 pack mules go with you everywhere :^)

just carry a stack or two of explosive arrows as Archer (not strider, strider uses shortbows, Archer is the only job that uses Longbows, which have the Tenfold Flurry skill). enjoy winning the game

Ranger? I tried doing that once but I always choose the same vocation for my pawns and they used the arrows in battle. Same thing trying to make them carry additional Salomet's Secrets and other buffers, they'd use them.

He really didn't

You can also quickly give your team ailment immunity. That's extremely important for when you are having deal with all the petrifying bullshit. Pawns can't be relied upon to deal with it.

Oil them first and watch the fireworks go. That's how I decimated Grigori on my first playthrough

MA does have the Flame Rivets, though, which lets you do some cool stuff and set traps if you are clever. You don't need to hit enemies with them to activate them with a hit, so you can fire into the ground, lure enemies over, and then do a downward attack to blow up everything in a small radius.

Grigori had no choice but to do wrong. It is the nature of the eternal ring.

Also, it's pretty funny to find out that The Dragon doesn't just make one Arisen per cycle. If you read all the entries on the big memory slab in BBI, it really sounds like he's just cruising around the world plucking hearts left and right, leaving tons of Arisen just pissed off and out for blood.

God damn it why is it such a pain to mod. Yes I know it's mostly me being a dumbass with merging the arcs but still I couldn't even get the immanent triumph guitar arrangement mod to work, and that was a seperate fucking .arc file altogether.
Bullying welcome.

The stat growth shit really schisms my 'tism. I wish it were streamlined or controllable in some way, because whenever I'm not feeling as strong as I should, it makes me want to start over with a fresh character.

Any six skills warrior mods yet?

At the very least there is the game save manager which lets you have as many saves as you like, so you can do that without having to start fresh. It's still annoying how garbage the base growths are for the two magick aligned hybrid classes.

Nothing yet, but I didn't search that hard.

I asked about that a few times when the generals were still happening. One answer I got said it should be possible but no one's bothered to look into it for some reason.

All the failed arisen are the various drakes, wyrms, and "mini dragons" you can fight

Not all of them, there's also the one on the mountain, and the Duke, and Selene's master

The Duke did succeed though, he got to the dragon and sold his soul to be ruler until the next arisen came
But there's not enough information with Selene's master to really tell what happened, she may have done something similar
I'm assuming the Arisen who die in the quest, never get to the dragon, are the ones who get turned into lesser dragons

There was some user trying back in the generals, but he said the code was a clusterfuck. Welp.

It's pretty much confirmed grigori got to the sasquatch dude and lost, which's why he got turned into a dragon and why you get turned into a dragon if you lose. I think it either depends on the power of the arisen himself, with Grigori being OP as fuck back when he was human, or everyone gets turned into lesser dragons, but some evolve over time, like, again, Grigori.

because warrior sucks

-no jump boosting
-very slow attacks
-not a great boost to attack power in comparison to other weapons
-not very good at staggering thanks to staggering being related to damage done
and on top of all that
-only 3 skills because warrior only uses a single weapon type
-not a "great" boost in stats such as defense and stamina to bother with it, specially when you can just learn the passives and equip them in other jobs

from the core of the game, warrior is a terrible job, its good for flashy Berserk roleplayers, but in the actual environment of the game it fucking sucks, they really didn't put effort into balancing it. they should have given him High Jump, 6 skills, some sorta boost to staggering capability, and a powerful boost to grabbing and climbing enemies that justified the garbage hilt-attack he does while grabbed to big enemies.

...

I thought there was only one Dragon per cycle and per realm, but maybe the lesser failed Arisens fall through the same portal like the harpies at the beginning

That's not even an excuse since the Sorcerer only uses the archstaff and still gets six skills

You have to admit that THREE SKILLS ONLY hurts the class more than it needs to.

that's what im saying, they didn't even bother stabilizing Warrior to compare to Wizard and Ranger who are probably the most OP job in the game.

it does m8, you gotta accept that as it is now, it just doesn't compare to the other classes.

Fighter sucks too but at least it has parries, if you learn to parry you can manage as a fighter, warrior has nothing as it is.

...

Well, it's really hard to say what the Drakes and Wyrms are, because you've got guys like the Dragonforged, Olra, and Barroch hanging around. There's also Selene, a pawn whose Arisen slew the Dragon and helped Selene start to become more human, but not entirely human, like what happens to your Pawn in the true ending.

We know for a fact that the Duke took the bargain and gets fucked when you finally kill Grigori.

We also know… that if you fail while fighting the Seneschal, you fall out of the sky and become the Dragon/Grigori and restart the Eternal Ring. Flooding the world with monsters and seeking out a new Arisen to take your place.

So, we can presume that those who fight the Dragon are given a bargain to turn away and sacrifice their beloved. It's unclear what happens to their pawns in that case. Or they can challenge the Dragon and fuck up the whole world. And from there they can gather wakestones and challenge the Seneschal, in order to take their place as the new Seneschal, but any who fail there become Grigori, not merely a Drake.

>There's also Selene, a pawn whose Arisen slew the Dragon and helped Selene start to become more human, but not entirely human, like what happens to your Pawn in the true ending.
Is that first part confirmed? Because that causes even more of a problem since it confirms other arisen are crossing from other realms, although I guess that can explain the presence of multiple dragons. I thought she started treating Selene as a human on their main quest. It's also not exactly like what happens in the true ending.

No, hang on, if Edmund claims to have slain the Dragon, and he really didn't, and the Dragon he claimed to have slain was Grigori, why do we see Grigori fall through the portal anew at the beginning of the game?

I believe she says she gave Selene a part of her soul. I did that quest yesterday.

Does that explicitly imply it's at the Seneschal scene? Because your pawn inhabits your physical body, Selene retains her original pawn body

Having just cleared the main story yesterday, there's something else that's a little weird about Selene in particular.

After killing Grigori, The Duke withers to near death, The Dragonforged turns to dust, Grigori turns to dust.. and Selene becomes fully human. This is made more confusing by the true ending, where your Pawn becomes human by taking your character's body. Further confirmed in BBI where the memory slab mentions Grette's pawn taking on Grette's form after Grette left to fight the Dragon, though the outcome is unknown

This shit is fucking confusing.

Pretty much, we have what appears to be solid rules then several exceptions to those rules
The only thing we can say for sure is that Selene makes a great daughterfu

I feel like it's intentionally confusing. Either that or they didn't keep a lore bible and just kinda put stuff into the game.

Here's how I understand the effective timeline from the perspective of the Player Arisen

The big fuck-up, storywise, is what happens in your playthrough. You defeat the Dragon, as you are supposed to, but this ruins the world and fucks with several of the other Arisen and previous combatants of the Dragon. This floods the world with extra bad monsters. Your proper path, as the Pawns show you, is to ascend to heaven and fight the Seneschal.

Win, and become God. Fail, and become the Dragon and the cycle starts again until a strong enough Arisen shows up… But your world was just fine when the Dragon showed up. And it was fine, presumably, when the Dragon showed up before to make all the other Arisen. And this Dragon HAS showed up before, since there are legends and procedures already in place for such things.

But if the world doesn't get fucked up and the Arisen doesn't ascend to fight the Seneschal, then there's no chance for a new Dragon.. but if they win, then there's no Dragon anyways, meaning there won't be more Arisen.

And now I have a fucking headache.

My biggest issue with the game is the way that the game handles attack, defense, and therefore damage, as in its all flat, meaning that if you do a move that has 2 attack or whatever, against something that has 2 defense, you are basically doing absolutely nothing.
Because of this, difficulty tends to plateau or drop hard and due to the way it all works, to me it feels like it has more to do with levels, stats, and gear than any sort of player competence.

The game probably should have went with percentage reductions or something that would make fights you aren't quite leveled or geared for a little more doable if the player puts in some reasonable elbow grease.

if the tutorial arisen had killed the dragon after Edmund became Duke, Edmund would already be an old dying man when you reach gran soren.

from the get go your timeline is wrong. the tutorial arisen (cant remember his name) was BEFORE edmund.

I don't want to throw a wrench in your theory but I'm almost certain the guy in the tutorial is in another plane where Grigori isn't the Dragon, since it specifies it's in another time and another place

We could just chalk the inconsistencies up to the game being rushed but I always have a feeling there's something more going on behind the scenes, since the whole thing is very thematically consistent

Savan became the seneschal a long ass time before the Duke was an Arisen. The world turning to shit when the dragon is slain is probably there to force the Arisen to usurp the previous god. I mean, aside from Savan, every previous arisen you run into in the game has pretty much taken a bargain of some sort, (or in Daimon's case, denied the cycle entirely and got cursed for it?) or in the case of Grigori, obviously failed. The dragon doesn't really seem like he's that big of a problem, either. My guess is all the stories and legends they tell of the dragon coming and releasing apocalypse on the world are tied to when the Arisen kill them and everything goes to shit.

tl;dr: Savan became seneschal, righted the wrongs with the world and tidied it up, then every subsequent Arisen since then was a bitch and chickened out or failed until you came along, making him progressively more tired and desiring of release.

Chances are the voice/appearance is just kept the same due to budget reasons, or to make the 'twist' a surprise. That or every dragon looks/sounds the same ( Unless they're a chick? Dark Arisen kinda fucked shit up more. )

I'm reading through the wiki now to try and alleviate my headache.

Regardless of who fought the Dragon first, what's known is that Tutorial Arisen finished the challenged and reached the end game. Edmund was a bitch and gave up without fighting, and became Duke.

However, someone before the Player Arisen did fight the dragon, beat it, and then was granted the chance to face the Seneschal and lost becoming the Dragon that plucks the Player's heart.

What's confusing is that the world was fine when this happened, meaning the Player Arisen's situation is somehow unique, but somehow isn't. Because you can't get another Dragon without someone killing the previous one first, and then failing the final challenge.

This is made even more confusing when you count in that the final TRUEST ending is the Player Arisen fucking killing themselves and leaving no one as Seneschal.

The multiple worlds aspect, which is still part of the story, only makes things worse and more confusing… although it's possible that the Grigori is falling into your world from another world where their Arisen failed the final challenge.

Here's Savan's backstory, for the curious. Embed is the first of four videos about it.

Pretty sure that the duke merely growing old while the dragonforged turned to dust implies that the dragonforged made his failed run a very long time ago, and yet still some time after Savan made his.
Also, Salvation don't know shit.

I think player competence can matter quite a lot if you don't overlevel, which is how I kept the game fun for myself, but I do wish they'd simply used the same formula for monster defense as they did player defense, and rebalanced as necessary, to address exactly the issue you're talking about. The incredibly non-linear damage progression relative to a monster's health makes a series of really unnecessary gates in the game.

correct, he refused to make a choice

Wrong, Savan killed his dragon "countless lifetimes" before the events of the game, while the Duke faced his dragon within living memory
It seems implied to me at least, that most arisen don't beat their dragons, either by being killed or making a deal

I think the thing that's throwing me off most is the world getting fucked. If with mix in the results of the cycle in other worlds and timelines, then it's possible that the Dragon is being dropped into your world from another failed Arisen's cycle.

It's also kind of unclear what happens to the Dragon after the bargain has been made. He says he'll just leave, which he did for Edmund and The Dragonforged at least 1000 years prior, but then a new Dragon shows up and ganks your heart.

From what I'm reading, Grigori at the start of the Player Arisen's quest is known as the "Third Great Dragon", meaning it has happened at least twice before (Dragonforged and Edmund, presumably) but this leaves out Olra, Grette, Daimon, Barroch, Sofiah and Selene… Some failed, some succeeded, but didn't succeed. Some got far enough to fight the dragon, but didn't fuck up your world…

You can make some sense out of the cycle, I suppose, but there are still plot clusterfuck knots in there that I can't quite figure out.

What's confusing about it?
Dragonforged turns to dust because he's old as fuck and time has caught up with him. The same happens to Edmund to a lesser extent.
Grigs dissipates because his sole purpose is done.

As for the pawns, the process is called Bestowal of Spirit. The purpose of it is never explained. Dragonforged's pawn, Selene, Grette, your pawn all have it going on.

I thought Barroch was just some autistic dude who really loves herbalism and alchemy and fucked off from his quest to spend his days immortal in BBI picking dope ass flowers and shit.
Olra is just some chick getting possessed by Grette. The Dragonforged seems to be a unique case in that he fought and failed, but lived.

iirc the only thing warrior really has going for it is they accumulate stagger/KD at half the rate other vocations do, which is why you can't break corrupted pawns out of their wombo combos that two of your pawns.
They also have that sword which makes for some absolute monster crits.

This is IMO the worst thing about the game. It fucks with progression so hard. If it were fixable this is what I'd want most of all. I'm guessing it's like that so:

If you aren't retarded is not confusing at all, The duke and the Dragonforged aren't paws but Arisens, Edmun is explicitly stated as an Arisen when Grigori mention he got his tittle thanks to the dragon's deal by sacrificing Lenore. Selena is a pawn and slowly turning human because of the bestowal of Spirit, killing Grigori had nothing to do with that. Sofiah probably lost to the dragon if the claims about the Dragonforged are true

That is one of the most stupid claims you can write about DD lore, she won against the dragon and lost to the Seneschal, becoming the next dragon. This is literally one of the most important facts in Dark Arisen because is the reason why anything in the DLC happens, forcing Ashe to pick between killing the dragon or sacrificing Olra it was the reason a Dark Arisen exist

Git gud

did I drop into a universe where the fun DD threads no longer exist and the only ones made are shitposts?

yes, all the people who suddenly turned old were arisen that made a deal with Grigori specifically, so long after Savan.

the Dragonforged asked for knowledge.
edmund asked for a Kingdom wink wink, he's DDs version of Griffith

Selene is the strange out of the bunch, the one we know (the black haired girl from the forest) is actually a pawn, but we don't know what she REALLY looked like, because as a pawn, she morphed into her arisens form. the selene we know actually looks like what her arisen looked like when she was young. i assume that Selene's Arisen (referred to as Gran Gran in the game) simply died of age at some point after recovering her heart, or even, became an arisen already at an old age, hence why she's referred to as Gran Gran. she was already old when becoming arisen.

my basis for this is the following: while you are arisen, you don't age, however if you take your heart back (by killing the dragon) you age all the time that your heart stayed with the dragon in one quick flash, in the case of the dragonforged it was hundreds of years, in the case of edmund, about one lifetime. so im guessing that Selene's arisen died of natural causes after defeating her dragon.
She was already somewhat old when her heart was taken, and by the time she defeated the dragon and recovered her Heart, she aged too much and became too weak to fight the everfall.
At this point Selene (the pawn) stays in the forest living and cherishing the memory of her former master, since she doesn't age because lolpawn, lives in such a secluded area, and brews potions, townsfolk started calling her the witch of the forest and relating her to the dragon, however, if my theory is correct, Selene is actually older than the Dragonforged, but younger than Savan, so its completely legal.

nice, i did big boss assassin back on the 360

OP just makes these threads every so often whenever he gets lonely

its the only way to go
I kept aging bossu arisen every now and again from young 20s at the start to grandpa boss at the end of BBI

i always make a loli and wear the sluttiest stuff available. really armor doesn't really matters until everfall/BBI

you playing on normal difficulty or hardcore?

Man, I love doing that kind of shit. On my PC playthrough, I made his hair grow out over the course of the game.

...

Your character has some nice dick sucking lips there

hardcore

tbh fam, you can still wear slutty armor with mediocre stats as long as you dragonforge it to gold. i think i played the entire game wearing those leather leggings thingy until i found the silk panties

The more I read and think about it, the more it makes sense, but I'm still hung up on certain aspects. Mostly the world getting fucked by high tier monsters if you actually defeat the Dragon, which certain people in the Player Arisen's world have apparently done.

Savan/Tutorial Arisen did it thousands of years before and reigned as God the whole time, but somehow others got close and still failed only to come back as the Dragon.. Which, partially unfucks the world or resets things to before the Dragon was killed?..

Also, there's the question of where the Dragon goes after they make the bargain that Edmund and the Dragonforged take.. Unless they're just off on other continents plucking more hearts for fun and no one bothers to tell anyone else what's going on.

RPG's need more aging systems in general it the best, especially when you see wear and tear on armour

I guess, its been a while since I played but I remember chugging through all my restoratives and buff/debuff shit in hardcore mode

You should try losing against the Seneschal, you can see it for yourself

probably because you played a memelee class.

i ranged everything, or shot everything down with huge meteors and tornados.

yeah I was minmaxin a mystic knight to satiate my autism. Its always more fun to be in combat and climbing the enemies in melee though

I think this game is about due for another playthrough. Saw a few mods that look like theyll make the game more interesting too, like not being able to use items during battle.

My pawn is still the cutest.

ITO GO AWAY

...

...

I think you're forgetting that the Seneschal can pretty much will the world back into place as he pleases.

That could still put her before Savan, actually, which is fine. One theory is that Savan's run is what gave Gran her heart back, much as the player's does for Edmun.

Also sequel when?

Is a little awkward considering how people in Cassardis talk about her as someone who may still live in the woods while, supposedly, being older than the dragonforged

Doesn't really seem that out of place given that they think of her as the witch of the witchwood, even if was originally Gran, and the average Cassardian likely doesn't know much about the dragonforged.
I doubt even she has a really clear idea of her age, pawns aren't really up on human mortality.

1-3 Strider
4-6 Fighter
7-9 Mage
0 Unarmed Only

I hope you like ora oraing faggot

Fuck my ass. Hope it wont be too difficult to grab a bloody knuckle from bbi real early

Started a new playthrough on hard mode with Mage (aiming for Sorcerer in a few minutes when I get to Gran Soren) and god damn I did not anticipate how much the stamina drain would affect things, a single Grand Ingle practically drains the whole stamina bar. Didn't really run into any problem with the stamina playing a Fighter or Ranger on hard mode.

What's a good graphical mod? I've never used ENB. Most ENBs I see make the game look 10x worse than vanilla.

Should have gone as Fighter or Strider for your first 10 levels to offset that then.

t. Lightning from FF XIII

...

What i hate with DD is that the _BASEGAME_ was actually decent and fun enough, sure the AI had it's flaws and overall it could've been a lot better but :DA shits on everything the vanilla gaem did well and just made me hate the whole game.

Similar how ME3 made me completely unable to enjoy ME1 or 2 ever again or Dragon Age 2 did the same with DA:origins. inb4 bioware-shit never gud, not saying DA or ME were GREAT but the first game(s) were enjoyable enough with replayability to do so every year or so

Also dragons fucking suck.
Had the game been GIANT'S DOGMA instead and it would've been over 9000 times better.

Well, they did make the MMO which they are teasing just might.. maybe.. possibly.. come to the west, if they feel like it. The PC port did exceed expectations and it was presumed that they were testing the waters with the PC market, seeing as there's been an explosion of PC weeb game ports.

how?

The MMO was supposed to be pretty bad though, with massive meatsponge enemies

Yeah, from what I skimmed during the small time Holla Forums was having regular threads about it, they fucked up the general formula in a pretty big way.. But they did add a fist fightan vocation which looked pretty fun.

Just like with MonHun, Capcom farmed out the DD MMO to another company, if I recall correctly, which is why Frontier is so wildly different compared to the mainline console and handheld versions.

...

...

What they should have done, is introduce a system to drop your level back to 1, and Hard Mode caps it at 50.

...

Naw, just good taste.

Holy fuck

stop posting this, i can't take the pain anymore…

And instead they make skeet fighter V. When we could have gotten GOTYAY.

Selene died, but did not become a Drake. Perhaps she took the Seneschal's offer for a peaceful death?

I haven't played the MMO, but I like to think the White Dragon is a HERETICAL Dragon, and purposely taking numerous Arisen hearts, and is really the true big bad in that world, because his Arisen heart collecting will only turn him into something like the Ur-Dragon.

There is a build for Warriors to do Knockback/Knockdown, and they slap the shit out of the 'roided drake/wyrm/wyverns in BBI.

The game has way bigger problems, though.

It's just broken in its core, I'd say. No idea why cuckchan Holla Forums and NeoGAF love it so much. Well, they also love Dark Souls, so there is that.

It's a 6/10 at best. Truly a pile of garbage in many, many ways.

...

Sounds pretty redpilled tbh.

The only problem Dragon's Dogma has is that it doesn't have that many enemies. But each and every single one of them is more unique than Skyrim, and the giant boss fights are simply amazing.
It has feels from Berserk, but also from the old Sinbad movies and Jason and the Argonauts among others. 10/10 atmosphere and music. Also level design is great. It makes exploring an area 100% worthwhile, even if it's just for the views.

Dark Arisen greatly improves it, though even though it's an innovative and amazing game it got SPORE'd and it will never be as good as it should have been. It's not perfect, in fact it has great flaws, but it's still good.

Sadly no.
Gotta love Dragon's dogma because the fights can become literally berserk if you're good and relatively squishy I used mods for that.

How to stats in this game? I heard if you stat plan right you can run around near naked later on and have little problems.

Stat growth is based on class (look on wiki to see specifics), and stat gain is halved after lvl 100. Don't worry about it too much because weapons matter way more. Going from full retard to minmaxfag only results in like a 10% difference in damage. It matters even less because at lvl 120 I'm destroying everything that's not a superboss.

Great views, and 90% of the time, climbing into odd corners and going off the beaten path is highly rewarding in the literal sense. Hidden items, gold, and rare materials can usually be found off the beaten path.

This is one of the few games where I would have been okay with some a degree of level scaling on enemies.

Multiplayer faggots eternally blown the fuck out.

Wait.
actually most of these places are in-game with a different name. Right? R-right?

Some of them are, many are not. The giant tower sorta made it in but without the online sharing in the form of the everfall.

what do u mean?? the powerpoints not having legit multiplayer??

...

Beat Daimon for the first time. All of my pawns, including the magic users, insisted on clinging to him like idiots while I scrambled to keep them all alive.

Still a really awesome boss fight and really enjoyable with Olra and Ashe's narration urging you on.

...

Someone is a casual.

So is there any way to get facial hair on a female character? I want to make a loli Dwarf

Golden chance missed here.

Just make a girly boy. Alternatively don't make a loli pawn at all unless you want to get bullied

This mod is fuckin great, why haven't I seen this before.

Lets you use any skills or weapons you want regardless of vocation along with a ton of other cool shit. This is what ive been waiting for.

Maybe I should have posted the link

nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/mods/96/?

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH LOLI PAWNS

That must be why everyone in the world makes one

Into the brine she goes

...

Doesn't look like you can mix and match skills from different weapon types though, what a shame.

Are there any DD mods that are worth the trouble to install? I don't give a fuck about texture packs and ENB shit.

The save manager is worth installing

You can also mod Into Free back into the title screen

If you've already beat the game or just dont give a fuck about vanilla experience then the one I posted is definitely worth it. Im using a slower levelling mod to make the game less easy too. There's not a whole lot of other mods that change much other than textures and minor stuff though, not a whole lot of gameplay changing mods.

nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/mods/96
nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/mods/334/?

Does anyone have frequent crashes with the PC version? I think I had one or two in the past with 250+ hours in the game but I've had like five today alone

I was actually thinking about making a group of Dwarven pawns. In the meantime Dragon's Dogma gets a whole lot creepier in a loli playthrough.

shit/10, apply yourself

stalker sucks. badly.
worst game i ever played. by far.
even worse, than skyrim

not autist. dont like. not bad but hoi 3 = boring

I can't decide if my next playthrough should be with a shota arisen and aniki pawn, or a neesan arisen and a shota pawn.

I'm just here to say that you're wasting your time and you'd be better off doing something more productive.

I hope they do some fun stuff to dissuade people from making loli characters in Dragon's Dogma Online if it ever comes West. They should honestly make it so that making a pure loli character has a hidden negative trait.
The negative trait's should be a serious of debuffs that cannot be cured normally and must fade on their own. Loli characters will have a weak bladder which results in them wetting and ruining their clothes which cause a significant debuff. After a few wettings they get an underwear clothing slot that lets them wear "absorbent briefs" which stops them wetting their clothes but need changed regularly or else they develop a "rash" debuff. Adult friendly players and party members will eventually be able to check to see if the loli needs a change and decide to change their briefs if needed which means they can be laid down by the side of the road in public for all to see and NPC's and other players can make comments about them which can lead to "humiliated" debuff. Also friendly adult characters can pick them up and carry them without severe penalties to stamina or movement. In addition whenever the loli character commits a crime they are instead taken home and stuck in their room under guard from an NPC or a friend. If they try to escape they will develop "stinging bottom", along with being picked up and carried to bed. If a crime is committed in a party with adult characters expect to receive "stinging bottom" as well as "humiliated" immediately.

Yeah, I'm sure people who make loli characters would consider those negative traits user.

…I hope you get kidney stones for that post.

Holla Forums is full of hypocrites with shit tastes. Dragons Dogma was shit and they are just fooling themselves because anywho disagrees is 'muh normalfags' and you can't have a decent discussion over the flaws of their collective conscious decision and the game itself.

This is some major autism.

Dragon's Dogma was fucking awesome, but it suffers from the Itsuno Syndrome; basically, that Capcom decides to screw over and not give him enough time to make a complete game.

What is the proper way to build a magic knight? What levels in a specific class, abilities, and move combos are good? I always do warrior, so I wanted to try a different class instead for once.I heard using the great cannon and the light shield move worked well.

This is the only thing that could make playing a loli more fun. piss fetish, being picked up and cuddled, imprisonment with threat of a sexy sexy punishment, spanking, humiliation. This guy is definitely a closet lolicon.

...

forgot playing with there pantsu

Bottom line is the combat has no weight and feels stupid. Crap.

...

He's about as closet about it as the gays in pride parades are closet.

Great Cannon, Ruinous Sigil and Broad Slash for the mace, Abyssal Anguish, Blessed Trance and Flame Riposte for the shield.

I'm mad.

Shouldn't Flame Riposte be replaced after the main game and on the island? What about augments and how should I level up?

Why not Full Moon Slash?

I liked Flame Riposte the best because of the launching, and a lot of things on BBI are weak to fire.

That's what I meant, I forgot the name

fuck around as a mage/sorcerer to get access to the low cast time/low stamina cost ones

It really doesn't matter that much, equipment trumps stats in most cases

I think even more things are weak to Holy in BBI. Please correct me if that's wrong.

I know that the only things that resist it on BBI are the Bishop and Death

...

Now that I think of it even more of them are weak to lightning, like the Garms and Elder Ogres and Cockatrices, although I never liked the lightning riposte move quite as well as the other ones. Can't say I noticed too many of them with a holy weakness, are you talking about the possessed pawns and the huge poisoned undeads?

What's the problem?

Word is they spent way more money than usual on it, at least at first, and then rushed it to completion. Since this is Capcom, the actual inner workings of development are a mystery, and we likely won't find out until years later that one of their execs embezzled the money or some shit.

Did you even read the thread, faggot?

In case you don't have this already

Other than the Dragon Pope, who is weak to Dark, you're pretty much right.

Oh this is very nice. Thank you.

If you're referring to the chart, Dark Bishop is Sweet Pope, and Cursed Dragons(Pope) is Hella Dragon

That's useful, thank you

Wait. The wiki says stage 2 Daimon is weak to holy, but the chart says +/- 0%. What is correct?

I still haven't gotten past the two hour mark in Dragon's Dogma. One of these days I will and hopefully then I'll see the game most of you are jizzing about.

The wiki tends to refer to weaknesses in relative terms. He's "weak" to Holy in the sense that it's literally the only thing he doesn't resist.

I had a hard time getting into it for the first couple of hours as a Fighter. Once I made it to Gran Soren and changed my vocation I started to really enjoy myself.

Ah, I see. That makes sense.

What is the Awakened Daimon's deal? What is it? Why is it waiting for me in the "Crucible of Souls," wherever that is?

I wish I had recorded that.

...

...

See kids, this is why Dark Souls is a better game.

...

My pawn is an 18 years old™ twink. I haven't see any other ones like that yet.

I made a platinum blonde, tall, muscle grill amazon, Ranger pawn. I didn't make her a warrior though because my pawn on my other save already was one.

it happens more than you think

That's basically a frame-by-frame re-enactment of my experience. I love how it looks like he's happy with his arms, cheering for his own death.

One of the reasons I fell in love with this game was during my first playthrough, when I encountered the Ogre in the Everfall and then tricked him into jumping over the ledge while clinging to him.

When a game lets you ride an Ogre to his death, you have to stick with it.

i make my main a loli, and my pawn a loli too, for /ll/

go back to your shire, hobbitboi.

> WHERE IS MERCEDES? WHY IS VALMIRO HERE?
> FUCKING WHY.
> Take the Dragons offer. Turned off the PC

Great game.

Nope. Not everyone enjoys an empty, boring piece of shit that literally wants you to the most absurd shit to even find any interesting monster to fight, and then it can even just escape. What's the point of a decent combat when there is nothing but random mobs and braindead chimeras and cyclops.

Such a disgusting piece of shit of an overrated Crapcom turd. Makes sense NeoGAF loves it.

I know the enemy variety is clearly lacking but it's not just braindead chimeras and cyclops.

Wanna know how I know you never got very far into the game? I don't even have to ask if you made it to post-game, because everything you just said makes it incredibly obvious you didn't.
