Thought I would be playing mostly just Zenyatta, dva, and genji But I've grown to love McCree, Zarya, Junkrat and Comfy Sniper Ana. It probably helped me liking Zarya since she isn't what everyone thought she was going to be.

Just save your abilities for when flankers jump on you. Or when an enemy uses there ult/get healers away. And be wary of your sorroundings. Listening for footsteps, or abilities like reaper teleports.

Its also good to find out of the way spots where the enemy doesnt think to look. Like behind them even. And listen to comfy music while drinking tea when you dont play comp/if you dont play comp.

A good combo also to do with ana. Is when you are able to get them to sleep, quickly E+shoot+melee them.

I learned that one from Star_ He's a good Ana/Pharah

But when they sleep you should shoot them before and then drop the biotic grenade. Because this way you´ll guarantee that your primary actually hits.

I though I'd be maining Mercy, Genji, Reaper and Torbjorn but I realized that sometimes there's roles that are needed and not everyone cares enough to fill them. Then I realized I actually have fun playing with pretty much any hero, some more than others but still I can be a jack of all trades.

In the end, I ended up prefering Zenyatta over Mercy (that I still play with but always feel like I'm gimping my team) and I even prefer Symetra over Torb, she's just more usefull.
Genji turned out to be a faggot and his playerbase doesn't help much, Reaper at least is fun enough and actually requires a modicum of skill that most faggots stop playing with him.

The combo is LMouse+Melee+E, the grenade is AoE so it's the last you need to throw.

Disregard everything and everyone, flank the enemy team and get high ground. Shoot them from behind and heal your team, you'll make all 11 players very confused.
Or you can just hang around mid-range to your team and long-range to the enemy team so it's easy to land heals, use grenades and have backup but you can still pick off enemy targets.
At her core, she's still a sniper so it's always about long corridors and fields of vision.

It's really difficult to pull off the great Rocket Barrages anymore because 76 is THE DPS now with his new buff, but a team wipe when your Zarya is competent feels great. That being said, on the Hanamura gardens, aiming at the enemy bridge and pressing E really just feels fantastic. Knowing that you aren't just cleaning up the enemy team after a team fight, but instead crippling their first rush by knocking their 76, Rein and usually Lucio off is great.

Never took to Sombra myself honestly, even though she does play more of a support than Symmetra does (on the live build. Haven't tried PTR)

If you can play her well, she really is a much better Tracer. On a lot of maps though, she's a much worse Tracer, especially when health packs aren't as key to the push or defence. Annoying the enemy is exactly why I'm moving to Roadhog, though: standing in unexpected places, hooking key heroes and then healing myself up to keep it going is really just too much fun. Fantastic on defence, and not the worst on offense.

New Symmetra seems a lot more viable, from what I've seen. She's still a tech pick, and she probably always will be, but that oval shield looks like it's gonna be a monster for pushes.

I have every Pharah legendary, and ever since I opened the last one, I've only opened dupe legendaries or gold box legendaries, so I think my fate has been decided too. I'll keep ignoring it though.

Why do people say genji has a high skill Cap?
I mean he kinda does but 90% of it is hitting people with shurikens. If you can do that reliably you're a good genji. The other 10% is knowing when to dash, and jumping around like a spaz so people can't hit you

It's the whole positioning and momentum that takes a while to master with him, second only to learning how to hit 3 projectiles you have to lead and have different delays to them.

So what are they actually doing to his hook because Roadhog is the #1 reason why I hate Overwatch.

The secret is to get a mic, pick a tank, Rein works best, and be a charismatic enough fuhrer to lead your team of Sombra, Symmetra, Torbjorn, Genji and Lucio to victory on attack.
The main reason why I play so much Mercy in comp is because I hate giving my absolute best as DPS and get brought down by retards who are playing with a trackpad.

Started the game with Pharah/Soldier/McCree because my time with arena shooters/TF2 but I've slowly drifted towards Zeny/Ana/Zarya as my mains. It's fun to 1v1 a Tracer/Genji and win 7 out of 10 times as zeny.

Well the teammates don't need healing all the time or they're being stupid and rushing ahead on defense.

Because those potato heads last a bit longer and sometimes that's enough.
It's also because the enemy team will prioritize you as a healer and if you can actually stay alive, no matter how retarded everyone else is, they'll at least do something.

I will try to do the same, it's nice because most people don't expect an enemy Mercy in attack, regardless of the game mode.

How the fuck is overwatch going to ruin the fps genre? Compared to 90% of modern shooters Overwatch is a huge step up, business model and gameplay wise.

Look at assfaggots, and the abundance of rip offs both on the horizon and already out. Not saying it's better or worse than having CoD and battlefield rip offs, but probably equally as bad.

After all these months i have still no idea what assfaggots has to do with Overwatch. I played a few matches of LoL once because i was pressured into it. It´s a complete other genre, completely different gameplay and completely different business model. How are these games even remotely similar? And i would dare to say that Overwatch is leagues better than all the Cod and Battlefield crap out there.

Most people point to the presence of abilities and ultimates. My major point is that it has drawn a lot of the user base away from assfaggots, many streamers are switching from Dota and LoL to overwatch, and blizzard is trying to host competitions to rival the assfaggots e-sports.

Hell, TF2 could have used abilites, and it might have been easier to use items then too, since instead of having to scroll over to it, or pressing one of the num. keys then using it, you could simply press an ability and BAM, you used jarate right away. Pretty easy to see my point. Just change there items to auto use on certain keys. No ultimate abilities of course. Obviously not on every class, but classes like I said before with the sniper, where pressing something like C or some shit would instantly throw jarate, instead of scrolling to it, or equiping it.

So just how prevalent is "hacking" & use of auto-aiming tools in this game? I recently had a nightmare of a solo queue comp match with a bunch of high schoolers who spent the entire game screaming and whining over mic that the enemy team was hacking when (as far as I could tell) they just had decent aim and wiggled back and forth to make a more difficult target. I have kill cam on but I was never killed by the supposed "hackers" so I wasn't able to see what got them so riled up. Any obvious, identifiable signs?

My main is Lucio. He's just fun as fuck to play and is useful not just for his healing range and speed, but for his mobility and ability to knock others back and buy time for DPS/tanks to step in. Nothin' but saving Mercies, swatting enemy Meis away from freezing teammates, and shoving people off the payload during overtime. Also, gold on objective time all day erry day.

Much to my surprise, Genji of all characters has been the biggest pain in the ass for me lately. I'm in that awkward stage of competitive where enemy Genjis have learned to flank and kill support but team tanks and DPS haven't figured out to look for and counter him effectively yet.

Or maybe it's me. I've encountered so many shit Genjis that I don't know what to do when I'm faced with one who knows what the fuck he's doing.

I've only seen one instance, to where a sholdier was snapping to people while he had his ult on, so it would seem less likely that he was hacking the cheeky cunt But all in all I have yet to see any, and if I were, I probably found a way to blame it on myself to improve. Since whats the point of playing comp if you are not improving yourself, but trying to improve total strangers that you most likely will never paly with again, wont get the message in a less than 16min game, and wont listen to yelling anyway.

For genji, he relies on 1v1's like some posts said above, so your best bet is to call out to teammates that there is a genji/reaper behind.
my teammates thought it was funny that ever 2min i would yell "reapers behind me!" as ana, it was actually kind of entertaining. Communication is key in this game.

Having a main is stupid as it restricts your experience. But I have the most hours in Lucio because between his wallriding and altfire he's pretty decently eveasive. Good for staying on the god-damn point. I figured my favorite would be the ice-user since the game doesn't have anything that throws fireballs or is a depressed alchaholic, but I guess it's this Jet-set radio looking motherfucker. Though I can't say that without saying that over half of my playtime as lucio is from nobody else picking a healer and me being stuck in the role.

My main issue with TF2 having played Overwatch is that the multitude of alternate weapons can sometimes heavily change a class with little effect on their silhouette. Sure, you can die to them once and know, "Oh that guy has that one weapon", but it's annoying when each person may have 4 different combinations they'll change around to in-round. However, I do like that TF2 does always give you more general alternate weapons. It definitely makes a lot of the class matchups less like rock-paper-scissors than OW does.

It did not ship with season pass, with no DLC or a pay2win cashop. All of the cosmetics aren't locked behind a paywall either, it's a new IP instead of a rehash and features varied gameplay that's more than just shooting guns. It's a step up in every direction compared to modern FPS games and yet it's still gonna be shat upon just because it doesn't live to your Quake expectations.

If you compare Ana's Biotic Grenade to Sniper's Jarate, it's essentially the same thing in terms of usage but you don't have to scroll or press 2 to select it. Same thing for Soldier 76 and his Biotic Field, it's a Conqueror that you activate pressing E, not 2 and then firing.

TF2 sometimes does a nice job with the silhouette of weapons, like the Sniper with the Razorback (to the point it makes it useless) but for the most part, that's not what happens.
I much prefer Overwatch where every character has several tools available and you know what you can find, even if I also like the oposite, not knowing what to expect and have to adapt.

I have put hundreds of hours into this game and never saw a blatant cheater.

Bullshit. Every map has a control point in the center with a main route there and 2 side routes on each side. If you consider Overwatch to have lanes, Paladins has much more strict ones than Overwatch does.

So does Overwatch. And if you're gonna mention a few characters that don't, I'll remind you that Fernando and most shotguns attack in a wide cone while several abilities don't need any aim either. Ying for instance can have her copies running on their own to the nearest enemy.

Each character in Paladins has a defined role at which they excel but in the end they can do whatever they want. However the tools given to them make it so they pretty much only play in one or two different ways, depending on the cards you chose. You're far more restricted with the heroes in Paladins than in Overwatch, they are far more basic and they make up for this with the card and item system.

You wanna talk about MOBAs, Paladins actually has an in-game currency you get for causing damage and killing people that you use to buy items, much closer to MOBA's than Overwatch. It even has those bushes you can hide in for an ambush, and it's also free just like every MOBA.

The game is still fun, not as interesting or well polished as Overwatch, but maybe things will change since it's still in Beta (it's never gonna leave Beta).

The game is certainly more interesting than standard than yet another milsim game or yet another not-Quake, at least it tries to be it's own thing.
And one of the things everyone agreed, even those that didn't liked the game, was how polished the game was. The interface is slick, minimalist and works quite well, you're not overwhelmed in special effects all the time, every character has distinct silhouetters and color schemes and the geometry in every level is simple to understand at first sight.

Oh and before I filter you again, that map isn't in rotation anymore. There's no 3 control points, that was removed from the game since people though it was "too confusing". Now it's just the middle point for 3 rounds. The horse was removed too and now you only get it when you spawn, you can't press Shift to mount again.

But hey, there's no harm in using severely outdated information about a game you're talking about. After all, you've been doing it about Overwatch for the past 10 threads or so!

I don't think they all did. Some details a few people liked more, like not being able to switch hero and having more generalist characters.
Some prefered the art style, others liked the card system.

ive grown less fond of it since the inclusion of 2 very powerful healers, which were delightfully absent from the game before in lieu of heals with moderately long cooldowns that encouraged your healers to take some shots at the enemy to be worth their weight. now people can pick ying or maldamba and play girlfriend mode. pocket healers bore me to tears. my favorite part of the game was the more aggressive pacing.

I think Comfy Sniper grandma is alright, it requires you to aim, and you can easily switch from healing, to attacking by just changing aim, and your abilities are all aggresive besides you ult, which just makes someone stronger.

But mercy is cancer and should be removed. She may not be as meta as zen, or ana, but holy hell when I have to face her is she the bane of my existence.

Was it footage of Sombra in the PTR testing for bugs and balancing? Or was it on the live servers? These are things that need to be stated, and for the videos to be more generally accepted, need to have a way to have timestamps as well, like the patch number, the date, etc.
