Lets say FF7 Remake announced some SJW changes (dropping the Honey-Bee Inn and the cross-dress side-quest. Even the implication of the Don's sex dungeon or the Shinra scientists experiments)- GG would generate the boycott, others would realize it's a remake that cuts stuff, and it generates bad PR. Even if they don't care about it being cut, that person could continue to hear negative press, and it makes them wonder what else is wrong with the game. They become more critical. It's the opposite of advertising (displaying something's positive traits, so that as it's seen over and over, it's fresh in a person's mind & even subconciously they see only the positives it's a form of memetics).

I've been thinking about this a lot lately actually. Damn did we have a huge effect. SJWs have been pulling their schtick for years, long before GG. My first encounter with them, as self proclaimed SJWs, was in 2011.

SJWs always lurked in the shadows, pulling strings from behind the scenes. Pretending to be "soccor Moms" to bully companies to yield to their demands, and the vocal SJWs were a small group that was easy to ignore. My point is normalfags were by in large unaware of them.

That all changed in 2014.

Gamergate dragged these vampires into the sunlight for all to see. Exposing them became a fun hobby, and it didn't take long for every group that had been harassed by SJWs to the party and enjoy the show. We showed the world what SJWs are all about, and the world is sickened by what it sees.

I wouldn't give GG too much credit. Sure, it was one of the first groups to basically tell SJWs to fuck off, but I think the worst enemy of the SJWs always were SJWs - they have this vicious cycle where their narrative gets ever-more retarded, and even normalfags only buy that shit up to a certain point.

I only credit GG in starting the fire. It caused others who otherwise wouldn't to look at SJWs with a critical eye. In my mind that was GG greatest victory. Simply drawing attention to it all. Everything started changing in 2014. Before that, SJWs were unassailable.

South Park mocked them, and through exaggerated examples, people laughed at it since they felt it was kinda true. SJW doubled down and got defensive, and even those who doubted what South Park said started to see PC Principle in them.
The various rape hoaxes and protests at colleges further fueled the idea of SJW's true nature- but SJW are purely to "blame" for that.
Trump's rise was the nail. It showed them smug arrogant when winning, angry and dangerous when losing, sad and pathetic when they've lost, and all the time- ignorant.

We may have got the ball rolling, but if it wasn't us, someone would have. It just happens SJW tried to piss off those who had nothing less. We're the first cornered rat that lunged forward and took a bite. They're trying to stamp on us and poison us, but more rats are jumping in to tear them to ribbons.
