Whats more disappointing about Dead Rising 4 besides changing voice actors is that of the reviews I've listened to, they lowered the difficulty even more than 3, and the maniacs don't seem to have much character at all compared to psychopaths in the prior entries.

It's sad, I want to like this game because I love the Christmas setting but it seems like they're doing everything they can to botch it. I don't know why either because Vancouver is fucking expensive.

I'm guessing because they feel like it's the end of the world when they choose not to do the story mission and only focus on killing zombies, not even rescuing survivors or killing psychopaths.

That's a render, it's basically meant to be a digital statue, the in-game model is much less crisp. Though Graphics are an area of diminishing returns, especially now a days. But since it's easier to sell something on how pretty it is over how it plays, that's what gets the most attention.

The ending doesn't actually show Frank die, he just falls into a group of zombies and it's assumed he's dead. The true ending DLC is called Frank Rising and will more than likely continue the story with Frank having to save himself.

My guess is that because of the amount of people that were forced to "upgrade" to Windows 10, Microsoft thinks they now have a stronghold in the PC Gaming market. It doesnt work that way though, mainly because people still remember GFWL and because MS has largely been ignoring the market for years letting everyone set up shop. Even then people still use Steam on Win10, so I imagine even with DR4's co-op feature people will still wait for it to come to Steam to play with friends or for discounts.

DR1 was a great game with a unique charm. Albeit some problems, but those problems somehow made the game. DR2 came along and was a worthy successor, not as good as DR1, but I was happy with it. OTR was a fun expansion/spin off, though suffered from the familiarity of DR2 and really starting the trend of "lel so wacky". 3 was a piece of shit devoid of any of that DR charm and 4 looks even worse.

Its not a good feel. I love DR1. Legit one of my favourites. We'll never get a true sequel.
