She's 12, and can probably pick up any game after a few tries. Not a dead weight, but probably won't be the best player in the world either. I probably would have to carry most of the way through super C, but then again I am pretty rusty.

Battle Raper 2 (Featuring Squall from the Final Fantasy VIII Series!)

No really try FF Crystal Chronicles. Good co-op game. You may have to "level" your character up a bit so you can tank for her though.

Crystal Chronicles is a shit game to play multiplayer with if you're playing with someone who's less experienced than you.
It's an escort mission well-disguised as an action RPG, since one player will have to be holding onto to the Chalice at all times (and they can't do anything but move while holding it) if you want to make any progress through the areas.

How young do you have in mind? Some fun coop games are not meant to be played by 12yo kids.

LEGO games are better for coop with kids than for example the Serious Sam series.

FFCC is probably the hardest to play in 2 player multi. than it is 3 or 4 player or single player but it's more than doable. Like I said before you might want level your character up first before you stream so you can take the bunt of the attacks. The only thing you have to worry about are boss battles just make sure both of you stock up om phoenix downs because you don't share inventory. Also Yukes and Selkies both have a perfect guard action so those would be good for your sister. You'll probably want to make all 8 characters in order to get town benefits anyway.
You both should at least try it to see how you like it.

Puzzle games. Columns 3, Tetris, Puzzle League/Tetris Attack, Puyo Puyo/Kirby's Avalanche/Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, Puzzle Bobble, Yoshi's Cookie and Wario's Woods. Emulate them and get some practise beforehand, then steam yourselves going against each other. They're loads of fun.
If you have a Wii U try Nintendoland. It's games are really good for couch coop, especially the Metroid one. Mario Chase uses the camera, but you can disable that.
If you're doing Contra do the best one: Contra Hard Corps on the Mega Drive/Genesis. It's got great music and presentation, it's hard as fuck and has branching paths with 6 endings. There's a lot to go on. There's also Hard Corps: Uprising for the 360 and the Metal Slug franchise.
It's a shame she's so young or you could have done Killing Floor or EYE: Divine Cybermancy.

Yeah there's a few, most are racing games. There's the newer Worms games and the newer Rayman games. I think Dungeon Defenders is too. Magicka isn't split but has local poop.

Yeah, that's the one. Although i recommended it for its length. Playing the whooole series might result a little tedious for your sister, nevermind the stream (of course, maybe its just me)

Kirby's Return To Dreamland is a nice comfy game to coop.

She's 12. Not really the type to be afraid of any games either, although I don't particularly have any interest in horror games. Wouldn't hurt to play more light-hearted games though.
