Final Fantasy and the niggers who like it should have died long ago.

...

Superior leviathan battle coming through.

So, is this the game that's going to rob the title of "Current Year +1 biggest failure" from Nu-Male's Sky?

QTEs have ruined any sense of dramatic tension for me.

...

But it won't. Final Fantasy doesn't have the name pull it has years ago.

No nothing not even this could take nu male's sky place this at least looks playable.

Nah, nothing can top that plane crashing into a train crash.

This game needs to be aborted. It was a mistake.

The Nip user from yesterday streaming was axed by Square Enix. I am wondering if the secret police went and black bagged him when he slept. Hopefully he is ok and continues streaming today.

I don't think it's as horrid as Nu Male's Sky. But it is a massive shitton of wasted potential and I hope it bombs

At least show the proper fight.

Is this by the same team that lead FF13? Because I feel like that team needs to be fired.

Nah, as we speak he's being forced to sit in front of a TV as it repeats over and over "Lightning is my waifu" until he cracks.

Not sure if it's by the same team. But the director behind it did Type-0.

Which is weird because Type-0 had real dodging and actual attacking.

bonus points for understanding the reference.

...

The first phase of this boss is even worse.

I WOULD ARGUE THAT ALL JRPG
COMBAT IS A GLORIFIED QTE
SEQUENCE SINCE YOU NEVER
HAVE TO DO ANY STRATEGIC THINKING
OTHER THAN TIMING YOUR HEALS
SO I ASK YOU HOW IS HAVING
YOUR TURN COME UP AND THEN
PRESSING A ANY DIFFERENT THAN
A QTE?
IT ISNT DIFFERENT AT ALL
THATS RIGHT YOUR FAVORITE SHIT
GENRE IS QTE SHIT

Wait is this game out already? Where is this from??

Yeah it is I just looked it up.

For those that don't know, there are 4 development teams that work on Final Fantasy and they each have total agency on any one that their team works on.

FFXV appears to be made by the same dev team that did FFXIII, which explains why it's so shit.

Really? The gameplay in that one was pretty solid, it doesn't even compare in quality to this game.

...

Game's been leaked. Some stores put it up early and people got it.

There are people even streaming it right now. For eg:

gaming.youtube.com/game/UClpFvHdiO1lKNYJD6bw_TjQ

A very nice nip user streamed for 10+ hours yesterday. He got to Chapter 10. This fight happens at the end of Chapter 9.

Also Luna dies.

What kind of game sells ten million in this day and age?

YOU CANT DO THAT
YOU CANT HAVE THE SUMMONS FLAWLESSLY EXECUTED IN FFXIV AS PRIMALS AND THEN GO BACKWARDS 6 YEARS IN XV
THE LACK OF SELF AWARENESS IS FUCKING OFFENSIVE

dunno (need console sales figures to know that)

See
I've pretty much decided at this point to avoid any FF game that specific team works on.
They've released nothing but absolute shitshows.

Yes but how many copies of CSGO do YOU own.

I own at least 5 myself.

The youtube comments are pure fucking cancer. I don't care if it collapses the industry, I want these fucking dick sucking faggots out of my hobby.

its hubris
pure nip dev hubris

A JRPG set in a modern-fantasy setting would've been amazing, but this is just so much wasted, shit potential. The gameplay is so horrible.

Why didn't we get this? Wasn't this on the PS3?

I'm convinced that dev team is doing the same shit the original team that worked in XIV 1.0 did.
The whole "WE KNOW WHATS BEST AND WHAT WORKS" thing while ignoring the fact people fucking hate it because they think.

AFAIK that was when Nomura was director. Nomura then left that project to do others, and Tabata (Type-0 director) became the full director, and changed it to the battle system and shit we see now.

Sounds about right.
Fuck that dev team.
I'm not touching anything that team ever works on.

How do you cope with the guy who destroyed your childhood?

You know the rules.

Remember when SE said that they were utterly shocked that Bravely Default was a success and didn't previously think that traditional RPGs could sell? Remember how they said they would be refocusing their efforts? Guess that's not turning out so well.

Former JRPGs (and RPGs in general) could at least be excused for simple as fuck combat interactions (despite their prevalence) with the fact that given that they're RPGs the primary challenge is not those interactions but how you built your character before going into said interactions. Though this doesn't excuse games with completely linear builds where the only decision made (or at least the most important one) is what class/role you your select for your character/party at the beginning of the game.

Though its especially damning for games like this or Western equivalents like Skyrim where building your character/party is a no-brainer and combat interactions are simplistic as fuck. They're hardly even RPGs anymore and as action games they're terribly unengaging.

So for anyone wanting to know the exact division responsible
Avoid any game made by SE Buisness Division 2
Division two is the one responsible for this shit.

This is so disappointing. I wanted FXV to be good. Fuck division 2.

It was on a PC pretending to be for the PS3. :^)

...

the best current gen final fantasy game is XIV until square enix is proven competent

...

...

Also I loved the idea of the story. Prince goes on an innocent trip with bros and then comes back, finding his kingdom has been taken and his father killed, and he has to gather the courage to take it back.

But the fujobait is too intense. I would have loved female party members. Have one be the advisor, who's against it but has to go on the trip and look after Noctis anyway (basically Ignis' role), and one be the childhood friend mid-long range attacker. (Prompto). Basically have the black haired girl (Gentiana) as Noctis' advisor and Cindy as the mechanic and gunner.

Honestly when your game struggles to get PORN drawn of it, you're not hitting a home run. Right now Cindy has porn and rightfully so. And there's some bara stuff. That's it. Iris, Aranea, Luna? No porn. Shiva? None.

I also think that having a full female party would have actually made people like the game more. Luna as the princess, Aranea as the bodyguard (just give her villain job to Gladiolus), Gentiana as the advisor and Cindy as the mechanic/gunner. And if you want a 5th, there's always Iris

You don't mash buttons
You hold them down

I thought you were exaggerating.. Asura's Wrath had more gameplay than this.

It could of been done in the hands of less retarded people.

...

Asura's wrath also had me give more of a shit about the characters plight then boy band 15

I think if Platinum handled the gameplay it would be way more tolerable.

I think an "open world" action RPG with stylish combat would actually be pretty amazing. But SE dropped the ball hard by trying to appeal to fujos and game journalists.

Reminder that EDF with nothing but pocket money does this shit better.

0
why would you own more than 1 copy?

>Smash the Creator in the fucking face with your fist
>Start badass muthafucking boss fight

Asura's Wrath was the best anime I have ever played.

Smurf accounts

I lied, I actually only have 2

Well let's hope Moonman's game will be good ( it looks pretty good so far) oh I think if we had people who weren't total retards FF 15 might of been ok.

it was a good interactive anime.

…?

Holy fuck this is so bad.

I WOULD ARGUE THAT ALL GAMING== ==COMBAT IS A GLORIFIED QTE
SEQUENCE SING YOU NEVER
HAVE TO DO ANYTHING BESIDES
PRESS BUTTONS AT A SPECIFIC TIME
SO I ASK YOU HOW IS HAVING TO
TRIANGLE TO COUNTER DIFFERENT?
IT ISNT DIFFERENT AT ALL
THATS RIGHT
VIDEO GAMES ARE QTE

Breathing is a QTE tbh

Automata does look pretty good, at least in the gameplay department.

There's even an easy/automatic mode like in Bayonetta.

They could have done that for this game too.

I know about smurf accounts, but still, why would you do that?

This build became Type-0.

While it was a nice, cathartic feeling to end the game, the build up wasn't quite there. Like.. was Omnislash supposed to be some technique that Sephiroth never mastered? Was this Cloud surpassing Sephiroth? Was this supposed to be a symbolic end to the storyline that started with Sephiroth that had to end with Cloud?

At least the fight beforehand was appropriately difficult and climactic.

Type-0 came out years before this.

The bad guy just stands there for a solid 5 seconds waiting for him to get up.

...

The worst part is that you know that most of them are adults.
Fucking adults.

...

Yesterday I shot someone in the head with a MAG-7 because he was being a cunt (so I got a ban). I went over to my other account for the day.

Typing is too, you have to actually time hitting each key. It's no skill at all, no strategy.

No it didn't. Type Zero came out after that video as uploaded to youtube.

That's weird. There were a bunch more comments just a few minutes ago. What the hell happened?

Teamkill?
You mean your entire account gets banned for a tiny transgression instead of just being kicked from the server?
Why do people play this shit game again?

I was looking at the gameplay stream some other user uploaded and it looked so damn broken.
At the end of it all I'm sure the filthy soy eyed faggots will eat it all because those fucking robots love being told what to do and where to go.

Yes. The ban escalates between an hour and a week.

Got banned for a day because I shot someone (and killed them) at round start because he wanted to leave.

Are you fucking me user?

You are arguing with someone who willingly paid Valve more than once to play CS:GO

I'm not joking.

I play the game when I have nothing better to do.

Why don't you make vidya instead of playing vidya?

Surely getting people kicked for team killing can be abused easily.
Why not have it so that you can vote kick, and only the players that have at least 1 team kill to their name, or enough team damage to kill two people can be kicked?

Also, don't buy the game again. Once is more than enough for Valve.
You're next line will be something along the lines of 'I've only bought it twice, I don't need it again', but you've already shown yourself to have a lack of will power in buying it a second time.

Technically didn't buy the first copy. I abused the hell out of the trading system back in the day to get a copy for "free".

The second copy was me being an autist one Christmas when it was 75% off.

Is this the dawn of the FF13 nostalgiafag?

Because I'm a software engineer and I don't see programming as a Hobby. I also have no artistic skills, and would need to find a decent artist and someone to do the music.

I also have OCD with the shit I make. If I ever made a game, I'd have to write the entire engine myself and not rely on something like Unity which I see as trash.

Fuck off, FF13 was made by the same dev team (SE Business Division 2).
Fuck everything they touch.

I hear this a lot but I need source. I don't actually believe that this was FFXIII-Verse.

We have people nostalgiafagging Halo Reach, Black Ops and Skyrim so they can be just like their favorite funny retro games reviewer that plays "lol so random" old games that they never will.
So why not?

...

It's literally further up in the thread.
See

The original game/plot was basically scrapped from what I remember. I think they were gangsters/mafia, and I think original girl was scrapped.

No one is that stupid and young here.
At least I hope

It does get abused.
Some user posted one of these videos in a griefing thread a couple of weeks ago.

Outside theres plenty

bye

...

And now time itself is no match for these games. Not because they're "timeless", but because they're getting the Madden treatment.

It was symbolic that Cloud finally overcame his inner demons and insecurity compared to Sephiroth. At least that's how I remember it.

Goddamnit user, fucking apply yourself. Don't let your dreams be dreams.

Those aren't HIS dreams, Dad user!

It's "could have" and "might have," you illiterate.

It's much more complicated than you think. It's not that it's hard or anything, It's just difficult.

To this date I've

- Created a Chip 8 Emulator
- Started a GB Emulator
- Created a small sample of a Rockman EXE Game

Its kind of hard doing a real time inventory system on console games.
Its why shit like Dark Souls is so highly regarded.
If only games like S.T.A.L.K.E.R, System Shock 2 and Deus Ex were the norm…

One of the many reasons this gen is absolute trash.

This is still not ideal but it's head and shoulders above what was finally made. I conceivably might play THIS game. I'll never touch FF15. I'm not even the tiniest bit curious.

Boarders are people invading your boat.

...

...

At least that fight had some lead up.

...

TWEWY

FFXIV
FFXV

Could've sworn this movie was called Circles.

Its part of it, besides lazy devs with shit eating consumers.

You are just universe hopping happens a lot here.

...

What in the world is with Noctis?

His gasping and breathing is louder than the other guy talking.

When will I land on the Berestein universe?

You mean the Bernstein universe?

Are we talking about Russian Circles?

No, the Berestain universe

He's a mouthbreather. It's part of the "Every FF Protag is a faggot" theme.

Is this that one ff game where it's director wanted to implement one button combat system that pissed off even the most hardcore FFdrones?

...

Stop playing bad games

and AW looks more stylish, FF looks gay homosexual, pic relevant

I read somewhere that they brought in Sakaguchi to show off the game and asked them wtf are you retards doing, put a vagina or two as your party members.

What I meant is, if you really want to do something, and you know you can do it (and even do it well), then you should at least give it a try. Why not make your own engine? If Unity is shit then maybe you can do better than that.

It's not hard to make a fluid controls for real time action RPG. SE just doesn't know how to do it.

You can even do it with real time weapon switching intact, and even take out the middle-man of moving your finger from the analogue to the d-pad, while leaving the d-pad for assigning magic and/or item use.

It's like they looked at Bayonetta/DMC3/4 and tried to imitate how it looks without knowing how it is to actually play.

Yes

gematsu.com/2014/09/tabata-wants-make-final-fantasy-xv-casual

He succeeded.

It's "hold O to auto combo" and "hold square to auto dodge".

I see no value in doing something that will never reach my expectations.

I WOULD ARGUE THAT THERE'S
NOTHING WRONG IN THE QTES,
BUT THEY ARE OFTEN USED AS
PART OF FUCKING LAZY, AND
UNIMAGINATIVE GAME DESIGN

eh

QTEs in god of war weren't so bad but almost everywhere else they are cancer.

I knew it was going to be bad, but Square-Enix really went full retard, didn't they?

Watch the final boss and be disgusted

I-it's a spirit summon. Clipping is part of the lore!!

It might be the bad audio of the one who recorded it but the attack sfx when the swords hit Leviathan sounds like popping popcorn. You shouldn't be surprised. Remember that shitty titan fight that guy from e3 was getting beat for a good while. I expect most of the big boss battles will have similar quality of gameplay because the game wasn't designed for that.

I'm guessing from how the swords lock on for attack, they were going for a panzer dragoon kind of combat but lacked how to do that with more freedom of control on a 3d plane. They opted for the QTE way out and hope the flashy spectacle distracts you long enough before buyers remorse sets in.

Did the guy behind Super Mario Bros. Z direct this?

Shenmue did qtes good.

What a waste

Then you will never achieve anything worthwhile, you have to walk before you can run, have to fail to learn how to win.

It's like Dark Souls, the only way to git gud is to find out what doesn't work via a metric fuckton of practice.

Is /agdg/ the only answer left to us?

I remember when people were clamoring for Agni's Philosphy to be the next FF.

Might have been pretty cool.

Hahahahah. This is going to blow every other release this year the fuck out, and will have an easy 92+ metacritic.

Because it's easy "hold button to win", "instant gratification" shit, journalists are already masturbating over it.

Yes, because that's what your average consumer actually wants in a game.

These videos are physically painful to watch.

Final Fatasy went to shit once they started developing on shitstation consoles. Its like poetry.

Final Fantasy hasnt been good since 6.

7, 10 and 12 are good, 9 and Tactics are great.

...

nice aim

...

Why is Noctis older in this? Is there a time skip in the game?

The crystal power gives him accelerated aging.

I remember that article and knew this game wasn't going to be anything great after that. You can only make something so casual before it starts to push away casuals. It has to be simple enough to pick up easily but somewhat difficult to master. It's why Angry Birds and Flappy Bird could get people playing constantly. It was slightly challenging but so easy to play that my 5 year old sister has no trouble playing it.

Casuals remembered the Weapons from FF7 so much because they were the few actual bosses you had to put thought into, and they enjoyed that. This is an action game that can be played and beaten with 1 hand. Even Senran Kagura 2 is made to be played with 1 hand and even then the final bosses were way more engaging than anything from this game.

I'm okay with it being in a street in the city (should've been in front of the palace but oh well). It's just how badly it was executed.

With their power clashing the streets should be ripping up and cars exploding around them or something. It feels wimpy and weightless, like you're not fighting someone powerful while you aren't having any impact.

But if you couldn't do all that because of performance reasons, actually good gameplay alone would've helped. The location doesn't matter.

For eg. DMC4 has Credo which is a fun 1v1 boss fight that takes place in a dull as hell arena. Dull to the point where the whole world seems black and white while you and him are the only things in colour. The only things that matter is how well you can tell his attacks and how well you can get around or through them. There are no QTEs. When you finish the fight, you finish it, not on the game's terms, but on yours.

In DMC4, when Credo is doing something, depending on the action (and whether you're playing Dante, Nero, or someone else), you usually have a myriad of options. For eg, if he throws his lance, you can dodge it, whack it away with a sword swipe, grab it and toss it back (as Nero), or royal guard it (as Dante).

In FFXV, you look at the boss and ask: "Is he attacking?" If no, you hold O to auto-combo. If yes you hold Square to auto-dodge.

It's ultracasual. You can literally do combat with three buttons (autododge/square, warp/triangle, autocombo/circle) and the right analog. In battle, just hold circle, if the enemy is gonna attack, hold square. If you need to take a breather, aim the camera up somewhere and warp to a high point. Watch your health an MP regenerate fast, then warp back in and repeat the process. If the enemy dies, Noctis locks on to another enemy, runs/dashes towards it and attacks it automatically if you're holding circle.

I like the idea of characters aging over the course of a game. Too bad so many thing about FFXV look subpar to me.

I'm hoping the game offers some challenge depending on the difficulty mode at the very least.

Final Fantasy has always been shit since FF4, and FF1+2 were the best in the entire retarded series. Prove me wrong.

What game are you even talking about? Like specifically.

Most RPGs, i'd say about 99%, aren't like that. a lot of Action RPGs (aka shitty action game with stats to try to justify how shit it is) are, though.

5/6 had just the right amount of hand holding for me, i got lost in 1/2 a lot. the heavy equipment reliance in 5 was also really nice since it meant you could just skip fodder battles.

Yeah great game

I can still remember liking Final Fantasy.

Damn that theme plays so good. Is that the gba remake? I dont remember the music being that good

Nobody cares

i honestly cant tell wtf is going on in that video. can someone spoonfeed me whats bad about the FF13 game? i played the demo and it seemed mediocre, but there was an optional setting for casuals. is the guy playing with that on? is that now the default setting?

i dont trust reviews. has the best gamers made a review? any honest reviews?

SOMEONE HELP ME I WAS HYPED FOR THIS GAME'S SETTING.

i mean FF15… not 13.

I wonder if this was a case where they really didnt consider how the fight would play out so they made it a QTE.

Considering that this was in development hell for a decade I guess it could be worse.

user…

This isn't the argument to make. It's that the boss battle was hyped up as an epic fight only to be pretty much a "press button for cool" win.

I really like that the scenarios change somewhat depending on your choices and negotiations in the game, but they don't have nearly the impact needed to balance out this BORING FEST for most of the game and then QUICK and TERRIBLE bossfights.

Now THIS user gets it. This is the real issue.

She got stabbed in the lung but continues to talk, move and dole out magickqa until it fades to black eventually.

She stays awake longer than the protagonist after taking a knife to the chest.

SHE GOT STABBED IN THE LUNG AND YET CONTINUED to talk and breathe normally for the REST OF THE FIGHT

and then you wake up and she's dead. offscreen.

We all were, user. We all were.

Then six years passed and we realized it was going to be terrible
Then another three years passed and we knew it was going to fail humorously
Then this year we come to find out JUST how bad it is

Then you see no value in anything mankind has ever created? Or do you think everyone got everything right first try?

the last final fantasy game i enjoyed was FF7. and i was like 11 or 12 when it came out and those graphics were awesome to 12yo me. i also wanted to fuck yuffie. i was never into RPGs of any kind, the only RPG i played before this was earthbound because the big box intrigued me at blockbuster. i loved FF7 so much that each FF after that i purchased without question until FFX.

but i just dont understand what i watched. it didnt make me hate or love the game. it looked busy and flashy. i got pretty much no information from that video. but everyones shitting on it after seeing it. and i dont know why. and i want to be included.

i hope it bombs the studio closes and the devs kill they'reselves

Dont try to join in, might as well form your own opinion. I dont think this game will be terrible but it sure as hell wont live up to the hype or its own legacy.

SNES

You underestimate the retardation of FFans.

Never gave a shit about final fantasy so I don't really care, plus I've watched Dragon Quest get completely get shit on with every modern localization and is about to go back to being a jap only series again.

So Square Enix can go tits up for all I care.

oh yeah, thats why i liked it

Could have seen this coming, final fantasy 13-2 opens up with a on rails section thats pretty much "muh cinematic QTE" bossfight. No idea if they did that shit in lightning returns

This isn't that bad, actually. I don't see what the problem is (aside from the SLUGGISH GAMEPLAY SQUEEENIX WHY). Noctis looks like he grew into a man during the game instead of a fruity boyband character, and that villain is classic evil Square villain so I can dig it.

That is, this one singular concept, not the whole game. And by the way
THE ENDING EXPLAINED (AND SPOILED)

Here's a breakdown of the ending (at least how I understand it):

Noctis perishes as well.

Final Credits

Post credits scene: we hear Regis talking to Luna, congratulating her on her wedding with Noctis, and wishing the couple well.

A healthy looking Noctis and Luna make their way to the throne. Noctis sits with Luna by his side, they kiss. Luna puts her head down on the throne armrest, and she fades into the Final Fantasy XV Logo, becoming the resting woman in the logo. What follows is artwork of Noctis next to her in the official logo. (This new logo appears on the title screen from now on. See it here: imgur.com/a/8bdYm) Fade to black, Noctis' final words are "Thank you", presumably to his father. My guess is this post credits scene is just a dream sequence, it doesn't actually happen obviously.

The word "Fin" appears on a black background - The End of Final Fantasy XV.

So there you have it.

My thoughts: I liked the ending, no comment on the final boss yet as I have to let it sink in but gut feeling is it's underwhelming. However as I stated, the ending to me was decent, if only because of the stellar music!

Mind you I got that from reddit so take it with a grain of salt

Seems like a really disappointing waste of potential I suppose.
Essentially what we all knew would happen.

mfw this fight does stuff I wanted to do in a game, but does it so poorly I feel my concept has been tainted

If it's any consolation, it seems the game is terrible because most of the time went into marketing garbage tertiary material instead

Kingsglaive ending coming through

The sad thing is that they clearly worked really hard on this.
For nothing.

For the most part all you do is spam the attack button and occasionally dodge. Then you end it with QTEs. Given the final boss battle in

This seems to be a theme with bosses.

But if you want the real reason why the combat is a shitfest, go download the Platinum demo and the JP Judgment demo. Play the Platinum demo first since it's in English and introduces you to the controls. Then play the Judgment demo to take those controls into a part of the actual game. Then you'll find out what's wrong.

Here's what's wrong with it from my perspective:
It's ultracasual. Hold button to autocombo, hold button to auto-dodge. Warp to a high point away from danger to regenerate health and MP

I was also hyped for the game's setting. Modern-fantasy, with a bit of open world, and the combat SUPPOSED to be "stylish" action with depth. I was even open to the "boy band on road trip" concept because it looked like fun. It's lax with no pressure. You just get out on the road, explore all you like and whatnot until shit hits the fan in the story. While the prince is out roadtripping, shit hits the fan back home. He finds out that his kingdom has been taken and his father has been killed. So now it's up to him to retake his kingdom. I thought this was a really decent idea. Simple, fun start, and then suddenly gets serious, so the prince is forced to grow up, gather his courage and take on the enemy within a short timespan.

I don't care about the ass characterization. Luna dying offscreen, or how bad/rushed the story is. I probably would have bought the game if the gameplay was actually good, and if there were female party members.

Did you want Panzer Dragoon?

Kind of. More Ace Combat than Star Fox, though.

Flashy art and graphics is what sells a game nowadays, not gameplay. This is really what they wanted.

Would I like this if I enjoyed KH?

RPGs, especially JRPGs, thrive on story and characters above gameplay.

Let's face it, the gameplay is sluggish, wonky and more "press button for cool" than anything we've gotten in quite a while pretending to be a slashing action title. That said, if the characters and the story were half as good as the graphics are then it would be forgivable and forgiven.

But it isn't. It's a mess and the pacing is as atrocious as the gameplay in toto. The main cast is a bunch of scarcely likable (meaning unlikable) "guys" and the main relationship interactions, especially between Noctis and his lover, are few and wooden between.

This is the same people who brought us FF13 so we should have (and did) know it was going to be like this. If the story isn't good, the JRPG is garbage no matter what, and when the gameplay is terrible AND the story is bad, well… it's bargain bin fanfare essentially.

Game's worth a fiver. 20 bucks used if you're generous (and I don't know why you would be).

Which it is in most games, even from the often fellated Platinum Games titles. It's why I said no one should be complaining about that element of the combat and bosses.

That said, everything else you mentioned is spot-on and I'm capping it for future reference.

No

I'll hold out for that, then. I mean it doesn't look awful just underwhelming.

Sad thing is that it seems to me that the japs aren't very good at visuals. I remember seeing the demo and thinking about how the city seemed completely lifeless. Lots of effort had clearly been put in to the visuals but the design was just fucked. This seems to be the case with every japanese game I've seen.

Just take the criticism like a man and stop being a child.
Learn to type properly and actually take criticism.

That's fair, I'd say. I'm sure it will warm someone's heart to sell the game for 20 since they bought this for 60
…poor sods

I know what you mean. Recent Persona 5 title is no exception. Apart from a few NPCs here and there, most of the game's settings are filled with what amounts to faceless ghosts. It's jarring.

I wasn't. By that time I knew nothing good was to be expected from any game developer, so I became a salt farmer.

well… I guess it's something better than just cutting it out like they said they were going to…

so did they also include the scene that was unveiled in the initial trailer or did they actually cut that one out?

Also, has there been anyone who has really been able to show off the combat, or is it as slow and as clunky with no weight as it has looked from the get go?

They're living in fantasy land if they think they'll sell 10 million

You were ahead of your time, my friend. I was still salty back then (six years ago)

According to Squeenix they have a
DAY 1 PATCH for the game that's not even released yet

And the patch will include:
Improvements to the camera with new options to better assist and track the action in tight space and to improve visibility during battles

- New event scenes and scenes from Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV and the “Omen” trailer have also been added to the game to make the story and timeline of events easier to follow for newcomers aka "to make our story less of a sloppy MESS

- The addition of an ability tree for the “Wait Mode” function which improves the strategic element of this feature

- Players can obtain the “Beast Whistle” which can be used to call monsters to battle

- A wider variety of recipes and fish with an addition of a gallery for completionist players who enjoy collecting items

- Implementation of social media support, allowing the photos Prompto takes along your journey to be uploaded to Facebook and Twitter

The game's not even out yet and they're already in damage control mode, throwing gimmicks at it.

well… at least they are putting the content back that they initially showed the game off with… that is if the first trailer was considered the "omen" trailer.

I guess I'll wait and see for the combat. Definitely waiting on a big sale though. I don't imagine I'd spend more than 20 bucks on this game.

It's great, isn't it?

>“The November 29th release date is approaching and I sincerely hope everyone enjoys this game with a fresh state of mind. Unfortunately, there has been an unauthorized distribution of the boxed edition of Final Fantasy XV in select regions and we have noticed that gameplay footage from people playing these copies has appeared online.
Where were you when broken street-dates and streamers "saved" FFXV?
Yeah I bet you are.
>“One of the major goals of Final Fantasy XV is for everyone to enjoy the story and to discover the surprises together through the simultaneous worldwide release. Due to these recent events, videos with unexpected spoilers could potentially be posted online, so we would like to warn everyone who has been waiting in anticipation for this game.
aka Please don't look at those naked photos of us being whores! W-We're better than that honest!

>“A large and dedicated team have worked extremely hard to make this game and to create a Final Fantasy XV that everyone can enjoy. It would be a huge regret for us if the excitement of the launch was to be spoiled for so many when we are so close to release.

I can see it now
HAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

eh, looks good to me

WHY DON'T YOU do something instead of you two jumping down his throat, how many times does the same question need to be asked?

Something tells me you'll get this 20-30 bucks in a month or so.
Somehow I don't see this keeping its $60 pricetag for very long, certainly not used on ebay or something

I could see that. I also figure I can wait a year or two and see if it gets a PC release. I'm definitely not jumping out of my seat to play it like I was before they announced they were dumbing down the combat and party a couple years back. Guess I know how Duke Nukem fans feel now.

THAT is what felt off about that! I knew there was something that was bugging me (aside from sluggish combat) and that's it. Nicely point out

Indeed, dubs. Indeed.

And it's already on Xbone too, so it's not like it's Sony-shackled. They might just bring this to PC to recoup losses, actually. Would make sense.

I could debate this, considering games like Bayonetta do add options in dealing with bosses (and combat, generally), but when you boil both games down to it, it's attacking/dodging until QTE.

I think the MAJOR thing is "engagement". In the boss fight with Gomorrah in Bayonetta 2, Bayonetta is flying around, much like Noctis against Leviathan. But she doesn't stand far away and shoots swords, she gets right up in there and pummels at it. And she pummels at it in ways you choose to pummel. You have heavy attacks, light attacks that can be mixed up as you want. And perhaps different weapons and more abilities if you played the game already. And you have to manually dodge at the right time to avoid attacks and activate witch time. Gomorrah also has a fair amount of different attacks.

Compare it to the leviathan battle in the video. Noctis is just throwing swords at it. You occasionally get out of the way of an attack, but then it's back to shooting at it again with the same process. You keep doing this until you're able to do a QTE. Leviathan doesn't do a lot other than fly around and occasionally try to eat him.

Also yeah, it's worth something under 20$. Maybe less. Hell, I might even buy it if it's on PSN for that price sometime in the future.

...

After all these years, a goddamn psychotic clown is still more menacing than any giant flying monster.

But the GBA has a shitty sound chip.

in all seriousness, im just trying to understand the criticism.

from what i played those were optional controls. i didnt play with those on.
are there not ANY female party members?!

i liked the idea of the "driving around with my homeboys while the apocalypse is happening" its actually a personal fantasy of mine… "world is ending. no more work. no more rent. lets go innawoods and make camp"

except i'd have ATLEAST 1 female party member per male.

Its happening
Expect Denuvo
nichegamer.com/2016/04/10/final-fantasy-xv-director-talks-pc-version/

That's probably going to be FFXVI.

Gameplay = Combat

Really wish this meme would die.

Regardless an action rpg is an action game with rpg elements if you fuck that up then you've fucked up your entire game. It really is that simple the caveat of well it's an rpg so it doesn't need to have good combat doesn't fly here.

Hardly surprising, they started "teasing" it like 2 years ago, which enraged the consoleturds who got their shit on day one for this game for some reason.

Im also pretty sure they decided to do the XII remake only to make a PC version of it.

That's how they are in the Platinum and Judgment demos. And I assume in the final game as well.

Judgment has an option to change the configuration around (such as putting dodge to L1, I think? Square to attack and O to warp. Triangle for items menu). But I don't believe it has an option to change the way the combat works.

You hold Square, Noctis enters a stance where he automatically dodges most attacks while consuming MP. You hold O, and he automatically starts comboing. You can tap square, but you won't get a proper dodge. You can tap O which does an attack, but you won't be able to do the directional inputs for different attacks unless you're holding it.

And there are no female party members. The 4 you see is the 4 you get. Iris joins temporarily, but the permanent party members are Noctis, Gladiolus, Prompto and Ignis.

I pretty much do with all the big releases now.
I'll get it cheap on G2A if/when it comes out, and like the other user said, it seems like it would be more surprising if it didn't seeing as they will probably need to make up the sales.

THANK YOU JULIAN ASSANGE

...

i really hope you're assuming wrong. but theres not a single reviewer who mentions this as if its not a huge fucking deal.

I DONT BELIEVE YOU. PROVE IT.

what about qt mechanic

Thinking of playing this in December to wash away the feeling of disappointment. It sort of went under my radar due to Xenoblade Chronicles.

How is it?

This game deserves to burn

I still have an unopened Limited Edition copy of this game. I'll second the question.

It's a decent timewaster i'm about halfway through, don't expect a huge variety of monsters or steep challenge.

user, you better be fucking with me. That's a fate worse than death.

It's ok, the combat is too easy, I honestly didn't learn jack shit until the last boss. Has a ton of skippable content which I didnt like, I remember skipping acts like crazy towards the end.

It's interesting. A rail-roaded action jrpg with "strategy" elements, great visuals for the wii and Uematsu sound track. Worth the $10 I bought it for a 15-23 hour game.

She's barely in the game, let alone story. She's just an NPC to fix your stuff. A shop, basically.

user, seriously? It's been known for the better half of the decade this game was in development that the party cast is all-male dudebros because the creators wanted to make a "road trip" game

If you want a game with female party memebers (and choice selections) you'll need to wait until April

maybe I'll just keep it unopened then. Seems like a game that may get rare at some point.

We'll never know for sure, until he returns. Perhaps he'll break, perhaps he won't.

No site mentioned how the combat actually plays, even back when the demos came out. Not even the previews. It's just bullshit.

Sadly that's all Cindy is. You might see more of her since she repairs/maintains Noctis' car. But she's not a party member at all.

Iris only joins temporarily.

Don't expect something amazing. There's a bit of strategy, such as hiding from enemies, directing allies to attack enemies/the environment to cause something, but it's not very challenging. Combat is pretty easy and gets easier once you learn new abilities (which is a pretty short list).

It's also a bit linear at times. There's one (big-ish) city to run around, but when you get to story parts it pulls you away from the city and you're railroaded.

The characters and interactions are pretty fun/nice, though.

Dunno about that. It's the least popular rainfall game and nintendo has been re-releasing those on the e-shop. Few months ago pandora's tower was released on the US shop. Irregardless, The Last Story works perfectly on Dolphin.

...

i've maintained ignorance to maintain my denial. and retain my optimism.

im out. thanks for ruining my day.

You can run, but you cannot escape Lightning , user.

Anyway, speaking of FF bullshots, pre-release lying and Lightning, going to drop these as the reminder that this isn't the first time they done this shit with bullshotting and removing features

Hell, back when they first announced XIII they even boasted how it also would lack battle transitions and have "Dynamic Camerawork" so the camere would actually do the shots in the trailer, oh and Overclock, hell, fucking Lightning Returns is actually closer to what XIII was announced as the FFXIII.

what fuckery is this

"Irregardless" isnt a word user, well it's like a double negative, meaning "regarding", the word you want is "irrespective".

Didn't they already confirm otherwise anyways? What's there to deny?

No.
NO

Square made their bed and now they can get fucked in it.

I always that those guys looked like armored, weaponized Tidus cosplayers.

You sound like one of those faggots who never played Final Fantasy V and experienced it's sexy job system.

I always thought that*

Drakengard 3 and the Persona series (and the SMT series and most every other JRPG that isn't Ys) want to have a word with you, user.

Funny thing is:

There's hardly any porn of this game. All the characters have been revealed, for months.

There's no porn of Lunafreya (you might find one if you look hard enough, maybe?), Gentiana, Aranea or Iris. There are tons of gay porn as well as tons of Cindy porn. Even Stella (the girl from when it was XIII Versus) has more porn than Lunafreya.

This is how you know you aren't winning any of your actual fans (at least in Japan), and it's just fujo- and casual-bait.

What?

IF YOU MISSED IT

FF1 is mostly notable because it's the first and the foundation on which the series is built.
FF2 is broken all to hell and back.

I'm not saying the story isn't important in a JRPG, what I am saying is that it isn't MORE important than the combat and exploration aspects. If that were true then Dragon Quest wouldn't be as popular as it is. The plot to every one of those games is basically "here's a bunch of Toriyama characters now go and beat the shit out of the asshole that's currently taken over Hell."

The fact that there's more homo stuff than actual porn really tells you something about this game and its audience.

OH WAIT A MINUTE!
We should get someone with a tumblr account to start an upset about how they "forced a clearly queer Noctis to be heteronormative with Luna"!
Say that the game is clearly for queer people but heteronormativity changed it and ruined it! Then start homogay fangirl pairings!
Maybe then Squeenix will realize what it's done by stepping into the fujospit

I was speaking in terms of the poser, user, not in terms of anyone who actually plays JRPGs.
I still remember anons getting uppity about how Devil Survivor wasn't a "true tactics game" despite having the initial semblance of one.

what

They took down the video
The reaction was so bad they pulled a "Shut it down!"

Imagine how bad KH3 will be.
Imagine how bad FF7 Remake will be.

Anyone from AGDG- if you want to make something like a classic JRPG- now's the time.

...

One of you was supposed to be a webm.

It's more likely that Square Enix is filing copyright claims against the video/channel.

The streamer from yesterday also had his videos taken down because of copyright claims.

And yet the vast majority of JRPG titles have minimal exploration and almost identical combat style (with a few gimmicks thrown in for diversity).
In the realm of gaming, gameplay is paramount, but for JRPG titles the story is what drives everything. I know what you're talking about and trust me I'm not saying some indie tripe "logic" of TELL TALES GAMES ADVANCES STORYTELLING DERF

I'm just stating facts about role playing games. The whole point is for the adventure and role playing aspects, not so much for the combat itself. Hence the story and/or characters can save an RPG with poor gameplay – because the story and/or characters are more important than the gameplay.

This doesn't refer to title which focus on immersion over gameplay, story and characters altogether (like Skyrim) but on the main brunt and thus definition of what makes or breaks a J/RPG.

It's only true for roleplaying games, though to be fair even Devil May Cry 2 was spat on more for its story and characterization than for its gameplay, as I recall.

Again, I reposted it on unlisted for you anons

get with it

First thing I'm doing when college ends is making muh dream RPG, just some large as fuck exploitative dungeon crawler in RPG maker got all the tools and assets I need to make that shit, just not the time needed since I'd be wanting to do it day and night till I had it..

that's even worse.

It's gameplay got shit on for having the broken guns and a beat stick instead of a sword + the seemingly not functional / existent combos.

The Platinum Demo was actually pretty interesting other than the combat, which was:

I was hoping they'd change it up, but from the sounds of it they didn't.

To be fair, most straight porn makers are probably more focused on XIV where there is a waifu around every corner, i mean the Stormblood reveal alone basically made Yda alone blow all the FFXV girls out of the water.

Well, it is 90% likely it is Yda anyway.

They haven't. Judgment demo (which is the latest demo) is the same.

Yep, just like the other video.

WELP then I stand corrected on DMC, my mate.

it did get complemented on the dodge button and the more fluid movement (which became trickster style in DMC3)

O know somene who is getting a ps4 just for this and like 1 other game
I genuinely want it to be good because i couldn't convince them to not buy a ps4 and dont want them to waste their money. but i know its gonna meh at best

JRPGs have always been shit

I personally think it looks fun as fuck. I wanted a Kingdom Hearts RT combat but in a Final Fantasy setting and that's what I got, with weapon switching.

I'm in.

Nigga. This only bears superficial similarities to Kingdom Hearts combat. The smoothness is all wrong. The animations are all wrong. The choreography is all wrong.

It depends on the JRPG. "JRPG" is a broad term, because it also includes action RPGs as well as turn based RPGs.

If you're doing an action RPG (like what Final Fantasy XV is supposed to be), then the gameplay does need to be at the very least decent and engaging.

For example, if Tales of * went back to the clunky 2D plane Legendia style gameplay, you'd be hard pressed to find people liking it enough to play through it.

Double Dubs, KH is never "meh" at best. It is completely bananas

It looks like it's going to have the KH2 issue where end game is mash X to win.

5 gil has been deposited into your account.

Pretty standard plot for a JRPG series with that many games tbh.

Fair enough regarding the difference between action and turn based.

Well when you put it like that, touche user.
I still say people are willing to forgive a lot of the technical for a good cast of characters and/or story, but I can't really argue with that position.

You're not wrong really. Part of where I'm coming from is when I hear the term "JRPG" I automatically think "Classic JRPG" rather than "Nu-JRPG".
Characters yes. But I'd replace story with setting and theme. Honestly the plot to most JRPGs aren't really anything special. AND THAT'S OK. The problem with Final Fantasy is that even from the very beginning it's tried to be "clever". I think that's really their issue, theey painted themselves into a corner with their "cleverness". They don't know when to stop pushing the boundry and just focus on the fundamentals.

Well I will always think og DMC3 as the truest DMC. PapaDante from DMC4 is great but only 3 had the best combat and the best, well, everything.

I dunno, the Platinum Demo basically screamed "KINGDOM HEARTS WITHOUT DISNEY" for the Young Noctis parts, IE 90% of it.

Mind you the Iron Giant didn't but everything else sure did, down to the NOT-YOKO rip off rendition of the battle theme.

eh seems alright kinda of sucks the dream is what should of happen for a happy ending
surprised it didn't end up with the girl being revived and happy decent happy ending with the kingdom basically being changed with those two as king and queen.

Characters yes. But I'd replace story with setting and theme.
AH! Nicely done, mate. I can't believe I forgot this! Honestly it was the premise and setting which first inspired most of us about FF15 all those years ago, long before we realized how bad it would be.

Very good point

People are saying that it's so vague and the main villain is so metatextual that it's not a dream but either afterlife or history revision (since the final boss was somehow the first king or was meant to be a king but fate/prophecy ruined it).

KH usually has really good gameplay to make up for the absolutely cringe-worthy everything else.

Isn't it challenging on the higher difficulties?

Isn't it challenging on the higher difficulties?
No not really, the hardest difficulty starts with with 50AP to get skills with so you end up busted faster

CURRENT YEAR
hahahahahHAHAHAHA

ya there is probably a two deep for you hidden in plain sight that won't be discovered till enough people go over the game.

I guess Spoony will have even more material then

There's a simple rule to super smooth combat, and it's something Kingdom Hearts 2 did, if even by accident with how quickly combos came out and how smooth your late-game forms could transition from place to place via slide-gliding mid-combat and even mid-combo.

"No wasted motion."

Everything flows into everything else; every action dovetails into the next. That was the biggest rule of Monty Oum, and if you doubt its relevance I implore you to compare the RWBY Red trailer with the combat in the first episode of its 4th season, where Oum is no longer involved. It's also the fundamental principle of Kung Fu, but that's only marginally related. Thing is, it flies directly in the fact of mo-capped animation, because humans waste most of our motion and inertia thanks to making up what we're doing as we go rather than being perfectly choreographed at all times. By trying to make human weight believable, you rob all the smoothness out of it.

Seriously. Watch what somebody who understood inhuman but believable motion animated. Relevantly, he was a dancer before he was an animator.

And this is what the same character does when animated by know-nothing fresh-out-of-art-school retards does.

Doesn't know how to use motion in either the body or the cinematography, doesn't understand how to flow with the weapon's mechanics, doesn't understand… fucking anything.

Even if Kingdom Hearts 2 was just an accident of quality, it got this basic premise correct, and was fun as fuck for it.

nigga annoying a person is QTE
coz you gotta hit the right butens

I get what you mean, i already watch RWBY, pic related for why, but to specify, Young Noctis fairly stilted movements reminded me of Sora in KH1, where the motions were not very "flowing" yet, that coupled with the "Fantastical" environments and "Nightmare" Enemies and the BGM gave me mad Kingdom Hearts vibes.

Monty was a inside job, never forget.

For what it's worth, I understand completely. I was hyped for the same reasons initially. Though you do touch on a point: Noctis' movements are almost stunted. Kingdom Hearts 1 was a much slower game in general, and while there are valid complaints about what 2 did (especially in terms of difficulty and stripping out the exploration elements), the combat being better isn't generally one of them. I wouldn't hold up a comparison to the original KH's combat as a sign of quality.

I just realized she didn't even rack the bolt on her rifle between shots in the opening of the webm. My fucking autism.

Have something from Shane Newville, who Monty personally trained.

IT TOOK TEN YEARS TO MAKE

What the fuck is this shitshow.

Please, Monty had an awful understanding of motion and everything about his movement is floaty as fuck. His motions flow, yes, but they flow badly and feel like weightless 3D models getting tossed around low-effort environments with some dull camerawork framing the action.

People fresh out of college trying to pick up the slack from somebody who had been animating combat for a decade.

I'll bite. Who did it better?

DO YOU THINK CINDYS ANUS FUNCTIONS AS A RATCHET FOR MALE GENITALS?

Guys, I need help.
I was really excited after I played the platinum demo. Everyone said the combat was dumbed down in the demo.

Are you guys just hating on it because that's all we do here? Does it have any redeeming qualities? Or is this just another no mans sky?

It uses the same combat as the Platinum demo. If you like that then you'll probably like the game but there's also its characters/pacing/story and underwhelming boss fights.

It's not as horrible as No Man's Sky, however.

I'm late, what was in OP's video?

Are we only talking about 3D animators or are we also including 2D animators and vidya?

Quick time events and boredom.

If your contention is with Oum, then let's compare like with like. 3D animation only.

Type-0 was wasted potential, the bonus dungeon was a pathetic where you had to fight the same enemies 100 times in a row and fight a regular Malboro as a "boss" at the end.
You can't even do a level 1 run in that game as the only items that prevent you from getting EXP can only be obtained on NG+ and they break.

The gameplay in Dragon Quest sucks though.

LAST HOUR OF GAMEPLAY

FIRST HOUR: JAPANESE

SECOND HOUR: SAME AS FIRST, BUT ENGLISH

ENDING OF THE GAME

ill fite you irl

What's fun about Grinding: The Game?

Their decision to take most of the fantasy out of Final Fantasy is beyond me.
And the most annoying bit is how while in theory we COULD go to Bravely Default but that gets so mangled upon western release there's no point in playing those after the shit show that was the second.

also that is an extremely boring final confrontation, even Dirge of Cerberus had a better ending than this shit.

Older Noctis is actually pretty handsome

Tales games seem to be the opposite of this where they have great gameplay and decent characters or stories (a few being shit).

I think RPG as a term to describe the genre should be scrapped because so many RPGs don't even resemble D&D in the way they play. Many give you no choices except for how you attack something, not giving you the tools or stats to avoid them if possible. Many RPGs have very little exploration and where you go is completely on rails. Even the dungeons are just a few branching paths here and there for most games.

Now, for the past few years, smaller devs have been making "Dungeon RPGs" which are essentially dungeon crawlers where dungeon crawling is the whole game. Most of the plot happens outside the dungeons (which you won't be out for long) and sometimes your characters are just nobodies you created for your adventure. Either way, these are more along the line of what you would expect in an RPG that's supposed to resemble D&D besides the lack of choices. The plot being mainly your adventure and the story just being a reason for you to move in the first place.

That's hard to say since Destiny Remake is considered to have one of the better combat systems in the series. Some favor the spam happy 2D combat of Hearts over Hearts R 3D combat. Then there's Rebirth which was 2.5D (which is a shame they never took anything from that game since it had a unique combat system) after Abyss which had 3D combat. Or how Eternia has a better combat system than Symphonia despite it's combat just being Eternia's but 3D. At last there's Graces F which had no free run, something everyone hated about Symphonia, but still has one of the best battle systems in the series.

Shooting a teammate right at round start is viewed as "impossible to be a mistake" so the game thought you were trolling. Which you might have been the case because how in the fuck do you rack up a 12 hour cooldown? I've gotten a half hour once in almost 400 hours. Have you tried aiming? Or not being retarded?

Why is he so perfect?

If you have to grind in any Dragon Quest past the first 2 to beat the main story then you're terrible at the games. And it's debatable if you even have to grind in 2. This is like saying you have to grind to beat the main story for any Disgaea game. You can play each level only once and still be over powered for the final boss. Hell, in 5 I had to make every enemy 10+ levels higher than me because the game was too easy. By the time I got to the final boss she was 70+ levels higher than my team and I still won. Armor Knights and Sages break the game.

the clothes being not ultra faggotry help

Who the fuck is the ginger cowboy and why should we care that he's evil?

...

You know what I'm saying. What's the in story justification for why he and noctis can fly around without actually moving at all?

How the hell did that catch an unlisted video that quickly?

The shills are among us!

Kefka was never menacing. He was a fuckup with delusions of grandeur that consistently ignored what he was told to do, and every time the Empire people around him were like
>well i'm sure he won't be like that this time
and gave him repeated opportunities to fuck things up for them. The real villain of FFVI was the gross managerial incompetence of everyone in the Empire.

Crystals.

Cowboy is a non-king reality dimensional abberation and/or the first king of the lineage of kings which are all connected via crystal power

Noctis is connected to the crystal and was chosen to be the next king but was a second choice (?) and because of his father and him, I suppose, Cowboy never got to have his "rightful" place at the throne

Throne is connected to the epicenter of the world (?) and is empowered by the crystal and lineage of kings.

The King that never was, is Cowboy, and because of him there's "daemons" all over the shop. Turns out he wants something that can't happen and its ruining the world.

Noctis taps into the power of the crystal and all the gods/summons(?) he has made pacts with and combats suped-up Cowboy crystal power man to reclaim the throne and get revenge, which is what the Cowboy was looking for all along too apparently (that he wanted the throne and revenge for never having the throne he says belongs to him).

big fight
summon the lineage of kings which was watching the fight
kings stab Noctis for some reason (part of the ceremony to be the new king?) and Noctis essentially dies (and his buddies get wrecked by the daemon iron giants offscreen apparently) and Noctis tells his dad to trust him and stab him and he does so he dies and goes into the BEYOND
where Cowboy is waiting for him, maybe to take his place or something, but Noctis summons the heroes again(?) and the kings all thwack the Cowboy after the murdered princess shows up to touch him with yellow power

Then either everything in the world is destroyed
or
everything is rewritten, and Noctis says goodbye to his buddies because either they are all dead or because, since history is rewritten, he will never see them again.

Then happy ending with the picture you chose showing the continuity from the old world to the new world (or dream). Somehow we are supposed to care that Noctis and worst girl got together despite us never having nearly enough time with her to care about her as a character and the friends are all gone because….well, because.

GOOD THING WE HAD AN ALL-MALE PARTY! EVEN THOUGH THE CRUX OF THE STORY WAS APPARENTLY SOME ROMANCE THAT WAS NEVER FLESHED OUT!!!

this game is retarded

...

Nah, dude. You forget that the final fight was just floaty-shooty through hallways in Dirge. Bad as this is, at least it's not that bad.

Though Dirge of Cerberus had a more coherent and better written ending, more satisfying ending too… Man. MAN.
HOW COULD YOU DO WORSE THAN DIRGE OF CERBERUS SQUEENIX?!

Its going to be MGSV all over again isnt it?

MGSV was actually good though, just dissapointing.
and considering how many retards hyped it to be the greatest thing ever and the saviour of vidya when Konami was acting the way it did I'm not surprised

...

...

Her clothes are her hair as shown in the first picture, but in the second picture her hair is chopped short and her clothes don't attach to her hair. That means her clothes are her fucking armpit hair right?

Back of the neck hair.

It was, so was the Witcher 3
Pretty good games
8/10
Shilled and hyped to shit though

...

Did he really just summon Knights of the Round?

Story wise, it looks okay from what little I can tell. I feel like QTEs have no place in the ending as it breaks the pacing too much. Gameplay wise, I really wish QTE combat wouldn't exist. I mean, there would have to be a serious customization or class system to make it a bit fun. There has too be some depth that we aren't seeing or else the combat is going to be an utter shit show and that's what you're going to spend most of your time doing as a player.

I don't have a lot of confidence in 15, but I'll wait for someone else to buy it and stream the combat system for me. I am a bit worried about the ending as it's low key in comparison to the endings of past games, which makes me worry that a sequel is in the works. I really don't want to see another repeat of the Lightning shitshow nor do I want a repeat of MGSV's missing missions.

Those are the ancient Lucis kings.

The car dies too.
;_;

What the fuck am i reading?

Gameplay doesn't sell games when your market is people who don't play video games, it's what they intended to do and they're happy with it and it'll probably be a success but i'm not sure if it'll be a 10 million sales success

So what's the general opinion on World of Final Fantasy compared to FFXV?

What am i looking at exactly?

all the fucking videos are gone. Where are the mirrors & webms?

How Monty Oum died.

wut

This happens in a lot of games but
Why do they do this?
