>Officially, North Korea is a socialist regime. But in reality, North Korean lives rely on the market system. >On the inside, it's total capitalism. But the thing is, people don't even realize that that's capitalism. Just like the anti-Stalinist left said in the 20th century, the idea that Stalinism (""""Marxism""""-""""Leninism"""") features any planning whatsoever is a myth that is rapidly busted when examining such economies at a closer look. 20th century Stalinism was, for all intents and purposes welfare capitalism stripped as much as possible of the liberal economic policies that allow capitalism to be as exploitatively productive. Economic planning, central or otherwise, literally did not exist in Stalinism, and still doesn't. Markets control(led) whatever can be controlled by them: sinistra.net/lib/upt/compro/lipo/lipoebubie.html
What do you base on the claim that under stalin`s rule there was supposedly no actual centrally planned economy?(especially since during the war almost all countries turned their economies in all functional sense into command economies with central planning for war production)
So due to the growth of economy(and it`s productive capability) and wage labor it can`t be defied as socialist? But how is this relevant to my question regarding if it is not planned economy(and to be frank simply to claim that it was not planned economy due to the fact that the five year plans were not entirely able to reach their goals is rather intellectually dishonest)?
John Butler
You did not read and process a 7000+ words article in 10 minutes, and it shows if that [due to the growth of economy(and it`s productive capability) and wage labor it can`t be defied as socialist] is what you took from it. Try again.
Oliver Harris
One has to ask - what have I been reading all this time?
You didn't answer his question.
Neither did you.

I want tankies to stop existing and take their failed brand of "marxism-lenninism" with them. You are not marxists, you are literally victims of a 80 year old cult of personality propaganda machine about a dead person
Thomas Ortiz
Man these videos makes me want to punch unroo in the fucking face.
Oh btw the girl he's interviewing is my dream waifu. 😍
Chase Phillips
Oh look, another illiterate has once again confused the Stalin economy with the reforms that occurred after his death. I can only imagine how devastated you'd be to discover there was no capital accumulation in the 30's CCCP at all.
Kayden Thompson
Well, maybe not "at all" but the real plans (not five-year plans) were, for the most part, carried out by the Soviet industrial ministries. Rubles did circulate as a unit of account but this couldn't possibly translate into capital when all of society's means of production and labor were owned by the same entity.
Jeremiah Mitchell
this to be perfectly honest with you comrades shake my head

Most DRPK "defectors" are paid CIA actors who are used to promote imperialist propaganda against the DPRK. Literally none of them are credible, and most of the actual defectors end up going BACK to the DPRK.
Lmao, them wanting to leave ROK doesn't mean that they want to go to DPRK. Silly tankies and their straw grasping.
Aiden Rogers
defending the dprk is tankie deluxe territory
Jonathan Cox
Not that guy, but this seems to be you're standard response every time someone links something that you disagree with, as if people cannot possibly have read such article previously. It's a non-argument on the level of "NO U".
Along with the self-importance to believe that your "defending" anything actually matters.
Seriously, it's not like saying "I think Rojava is a good idea". Tankies "upholding" whatever is just contrarian allegiance to a flag, nothing to do with actual theory.
Logan Foster
Kinda starting to feel sorry for you now. You will never convince anyone or ever really hold the upper hand in a debate if your main strategy is ducking the topic at hand.
Your main argument strategies for any topic are to either drown the opposition in the collected works of Stalin, or to limp away on a technicality.
I agree that just posting a link is lackluster, and an user should have enough of an understanding of their argument to summarise it or post it in their own words, but you hardly ever do this.
Stalinists need to stop.
Jacob Hall
Clearly not any books on economics, that's for sure.
Nathan Ward
Not sure about the haircuts thing, but most of the 'laws' mentioned are not laws, but suggestions. I don't think it's law that your family will get punished for your actions, but it certainly is a reality. It's not that people aren't allowed to own cars, it's just unrealistic for them. All the things listed for why it is tough for women in the military also applies to men, so not really sure why they made the distinction unless it was to appeal to people's 'muh poor women' sensibilities. Forced to wear the same clothes in the military isn't that fucking strange. Forced to march perfectly in line, while sometimes being "tied" up is standard for soldiers around the world who are training for parades. They use the rope to get the perfect distance between those marching, and they try to get the same height for all parade soldiers.
Christopher Hughes
That's because "Read Bordiga" is standard for people here.
I'm not arguing their point there. I'm arguing their "argument". If they can't express their opinion in a short and concise way, then they don't have much of an opinion.
I'm not arguing for the sake of victory. This is internet, people don't change their opinions after a post. This is the place where you present information.
I hardly ever see someone with position that goes beyond "wahahaha, I've been told USSR was bad". If even 1% of posts is quality post, that's better than 90% of anons who post here.
"Stalinists" stopped. You won 60 years ago. This is your victory. Already. Non-stop victory that lasted 1.5 times longer than "Stalinists" had.
Why do you keep fighting against "Stalinists" when not only them, but even first-wave revisionists had gone the way of dodo? Even second wave is practically extinct and it is SocDem who are considered extremely radical Communists.
Is "stopping Stalinists" your only solution to anything?
