Anyone else not a fan of Dragon Ball Super?

You are playing a Frieza, you don't need combos. Just get Gold Frieza form, the soul "I'm the universe's strongest", and the go go gum skill (it's strike but that doesn't matter). Go gold frieza, "combo" go go gum out of melee, then spam charged ki blasts on them for 4k damage each.

The "universe strongest" soul which stacks 10 times for +(s) ki blast damage increases damage by 50% (for comparison, +(XL) damage increases 15%). You get the most out of this build by maximizing basic attacks (this determines your non-super ki blasts as well) and being as thin as possible.

You can also sometimes combo a charged ki blast right in the middle of a melee combo as a gold frieza. The enemy CAN dodge it but usually wont. Just more free damage. Each one of these blasts charges 90 ki on hit, so it's easy to spam go go gum with it.

Also Dragon Flash Bullet, against someone wrapped up with Go Go Gum, is probably the only thing in the game that can do more DPS than simply spamming (properly specced) gold frieza rays on them.

Speaking of Vegeta, why hasn't he wished back his planet and race yet? Earth Dragon Balls let you have two wishes, he could easily do it. They've wished back humans countless times, and the earth/moon iirc, so why not Planet Vegeta? That would be an episode arc that could be interesting as fuck, more interesting than anything else so far. Hell, given that the Beerus arc is just a redo of that movie about Beerus, I suspect they'll redo Resurrection F as an arc in Super too - imagine if we got an arc were Vegeta, Goku, Nappa, Raditz, Bardock, Gine, Fasha, and etc got to fight a planet wide war against the reassembled Frieza Force on Planet Vegeta instead of Planet Earth? That shit would rock.

All I want is Raditz to come back and for him to turn into an awesome big bro to Goku.

I think the Manga is pretty good. (A bit slow.) But the TV show seems to be a bit of a mess at times. On a random thought though, I don't get why everyone seems to be taking anything the show does as "official canon." when toei has made it clear they're just doing whatever they want with the story outside of the major plot points.

Wishing someone or people back to life has always required a body to be intact. He could probably wish the planet back but it would be a lifeless planet with no one on it. However he could probably use Namek's dragon to do it since Namek's dragon was the one that revived all of Earth including the planet itself during the Kid Buu saga.

Don't know about the Z-Soul, but gold finger beams apparently took a bit of a damage nerf and you now take 0 damage from all sources while under the effect of Go-Go Gum

I wasn't using Go-go gum, but the nerf to gold finger beams is mildly irritating. It was a bit of a stupid strategy, given that the combo seems to ensure that my character can do almost as much damage with finger beams as my ultimates.

If they did anything with the transformations it would be a DLC. I can't see them doing that either unless Buu gets a new transformation in Super.

Personally, I'm the most pissed about them nerfing Justice Combination, Neo Wolf Fang Fist (reduced damage), and Meteor Crash (reduced damage) they way they did. Neo Wolf Fang in particular was already a bad move, but now it's just worthless. Justice Combination was changed so that you can vanish out of it, which makes it completely worthless. You now need to stamina break someone to land the full string, but it doesn't do as much damage as other ultimates, so what's the fucking point?
Then again, the nerfs to Giant Form, Golden Form, and Meteor Crash/NWFF just prove that they're catering to the whiny shitters that don't know how to play the game, since none of those things were overpowered in the slightest.

Other things in game? I'm only saying this because the transformation ignores everything about your character design other than color. You can't just edit the model and release the new version as an update that copies over it?

I don't remember meteor crash being that great, and giant form looked like crap from the get go, unless I am missing something. I don't play online, and I never played a namekian.

You're correct. Meteor Crash can do almost as much damage as a melee ultimate, but is incredibly inefficient and can be vanished out of unless you stamina break into it (and at that point, there's no reason to use it over an actual ultimate). Giant Form is extremely easy to counter (guard breaks and charged KI blasts rape them), and only blows up shitters that don't know how to play. Shitters complained, so now both are worthless. Thanks to shitter complaints, all racial transformations except for the Super Saiyan forms are crap, so expect it to become Potential Unleashed: The Game

The asspulls need to be tuned down. We're already at the point in the series we're fighting gods after all. Goku had to use the biggest of the biggest asspulls to defeat this villain.

It seems more like a justification of why they can't use Zen-O as an asspull in the future. They summon him as a last resort and rather than restore things to normal he just decides it's simpler to just delete fucking everything.

I'm predicting that at some point they're actually gonna use that as an asspull at some point, and the reason Zen-O spares the multiverse is Goku is the only person in the multiverse to treat him like a normal person, and they become friends before this asspull happens

The time travel is actually mostly consistent with itself. The time machine creates alternate timelines while magic(like the time ring or Whis time reversal) rewrites reality. Even way back during the Cell saga there are 4 timelines mentioned.

Original (Cell) timeline: Goku dies. Trunks travels back in time and creates "timeline 3". Comes back with remotes for 17 and 18. Cell is completed, kills Trunks and travels back further in time and causes "timeline 4".

(Future Trunks) timeline 2: Splits off from the Cell timeline because of Trunks encounter with Cell in the past. Trunks kills 17, 18 and Cell with his own power.

Timeline 3: Never seen. The one that Trunks travels to and saves Goku.

(Main) Timeline 4: Caused by Cell traveling back further than Trunks. The one we follow throughout the series.

And this isn't even going into Super territory where there's at least two new timelines.

Being Frieza Race is suffering I guess

Nope, I've never gotten a patch whatsoever ever since buying the game on release. Still, getting massive amounts of glitches and bugs with shit like wishes, raids and PQs that end in game crashes, enemies being invincible or trapped in part of the map. And I know it's not my Steam client, because everything other game I have has been updating as usual.

At this point, I fucking miss playing the old game because of this bullshit.

This is why any idea I've had about time travel in a story even as a child is literally just rewinding time altogether rather than risking all expected time paradoxes (character does something to change the past then naturally doesn't later because they've already done it and as a result doesn't go back in time to do it)

Time travel is almost always dangerously retarded and just causes plot holes concerning time paradoxes to explode.

Hell, the astral/soul projection idea from Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance is much more sensible in the end because at least you can visualize someone sending their mind backward in time to a previous existing version of themselves and altering the time flow completely with new knowledge and even abilities.

I like golden form but finding color sets that match regular, and golden is frustrating. About as frustrating as finding not shit hats.

Plus there is the fact that time travel doesn't work run on Back to the future rules, its more like Langoliers rules.

Yeah, it's by all means a more complete experience compared to Xenoverse 1. But, it's definitely not worth full price. If you are planning on picking it up, wait till it's cheaper or just do what most players did and pirate it. You aren't missing much with online.

I don't know, the way it works in Dragon Ball always made sense to me. If changing the past doesn't change the future you're from and instead creates another future, you avoid things like the grandfather paradox. The only other way to avoid most questions is to run entirely on the predestined paradox rule like in Gargoyles or the first Terminator(until they ignored that in the sequels).

Seriously? The biggest flaw with this game is how similar it is to the first one. They recycle content so much that I'm pretty sure more than half of the PQ's are from X1. It's better than the first one, but only because it's essentially an expansion pack disguised as a sequel.

Those dubs don't lie, but they are just as bullshit as saiyans in story. They can live in a vacuum, apparently reproduce asexually, actually have potential rivaling the bullshit Saiyans can do, and can survive basically anything and everything.

The only reason I say the saiyans are worse is because pretty much every saiyan in the cast that is not dead is a super saiyan a this point despite them saying it was a super rare thing.

Basically this. 85% of the "sequel" is recycled cutscenes, recycled voice clips, recycled parallel quests and recycled music. Bandai Namco really "out-jewed" the masses this time.

In terms of how they would work in the games I would put it like this:

Androids: Give them regenerating stamina and regenerating Ki but just make them hit the lowest, on average, in both physical and ki attacks.
The idea behind this is that you should be able to muster up more dodges and ki attacks on average but its balanced out by a softer hit.

Bioandroids: The only special treatment they get is that they can use every race's learned abilities/attacks including racial-based powerups/supers. They would be average in hit rate for phys and ki attacks. They would also enjoy no regeneration of ki or stamina unless a super/powerup allowed it.
The idea here is that you have a highly customizable character in which you could direct along any sort of build path you wanted. True freedom there.

Mutant: This would open up more physical trait character customizations (perhaps randomize a set of different bodyparts at start) but the racial inborn abilities would be randomly expressed.
That is, at creation your "mutant" can have any given mix of other race's traits even the traits given to gender and build no matter what the character's actual gender and build are.
The idea here being that this randomization means that not only would the player character not fully know what that mutant's capabilities are until playing them but for the PVP neither would other players.

Going off memory they 'need' to have been killed within the year. You can resurrect them but they have any injuries they had at the time of death; the only reason Freiza survived his resurrection is his minions had good enough medical stuff on site to immediately take care of him.

Yeah that one year rule was ether thrown out the window, removed when Dende became the new guardian, or was something added in teh dub. Which was a constant point of confusion for me. If you were really hardcore you'd play the entire game without investing a single point into any stat.

You should only have around five to six stamina bars. I usually do around 5.5 bars. The amount you put into kii might be a little to much if you are going for pvp or higher end raids.

This might not be an issue if it had some other advantage, like good range or super armor on casting. But nope, it barely has reach longer than a pinky finger and you can be tickled out of it, 5 ki bars wasted.

what attacks are decent/good and Z-souls and how do I acquire them for a female Saiyan at widest/second from tallest?
I'm jusr curious because I dislike almost all the attacks I've gained so far even from trainers and I'm just using Goku the Super Saiyan Z-soul which is meh.

Goku the super saiyan is pretty good for melee builds. Another good one is that cooler z-soul that can poison and slow enemies with ki blasts.

I have that one as well I just figured there'd be something else. I dislike how transitions into blocks, or specific attacks cannot be cancelled so I can get stuck in a combo if I mess up the timing for a perfect guard which I usually do, I'm not perfect but what generally ends up happening is the z-vanish leaves you instantly exposed regardless and stamina takes ten years to regenerate for no reason.

So, should I just pirate this and use it on Tuungle?

Yes.
There's loads of new strike supers which are amazing, and I've found the improvements to the combat system actually favours melee range.
Only downside is that there is still a major deficit in strike ultimates, so you will almost always be running Justice Combination + 1 other thing.

While Frieza is content to sit in his little hover chair while his minions are being killed one by one, even killing some himself for no good reason, Cooler fights on the front lines and even steps in when it's clear his henchmen are outclassed.
