Puzzle games and shit

3DS. You have a limited number of ink to fill in squares and they slooowly refill over time. You need premium currency to do things such as unlock later stages and they are given to you at a snail's pace doing challenges that make you re-do old puzzles (and waste more ink).

Normally I would be with you on this, but they have a thing in place where if you spend 40$, I.E. the price of a normal 3ds game, you get unlimited money and therefore "unlock" the game. IMO that changes it from being a microtransaction laden freemium game to an extended demo for an actual game.

It's a travesty of game design, because it would otherwise be the best Picross game on the market.
The controls, puzzle variety and even replayability (ie. the set of small missions you're given for each puzzle) are about as good as possible. Then it introduces a currency that artificially limits how often you can play the game, makes very little sense in its implementation, and would require doing perfect runs of the Daily Challenge puzzles every day for a year to gather enough currency to reach the end.
If you make the merchants happy and drop £25 on the available currency bundles, the in-game shop turns into a "Press A to receive currency" button. Somehow, the "No Fun Allowed" mechanic is instantly flipped to the other extreme, and becomes completely worthless.

Use catnip to get them high first, dummy.

Play a 3D Tetris clone (like Breakout or similar) for a month. Any 2D version would become piss-easy.

I would recommend Super Columns to anyone that actually likes Tetris.

It is a very underrated gem despite being a Game Gear game.

Picross is the shit. I still need to get a physical copy of picross 3d 2. There was even this one free mobile picross game (good kind of mobile (only had to ply 2 dollars for each expansion with like 150 free puzzles)) and i finished every single puzzle on it. Im still working on picross ds too. Im not really feeling pokemon picross though. Idk why.

Puzzle Bobble remains the best the 2P mode is just too comfy. They're all good except the stupid wii version where you're forced to use the wii mote has a pointing device.

Okay think I got em all.

First one is asking for the area of the shaded region. Through a bit of basic geometry the answer is the first choice.
Second one is a basic number sequence in base 10 shifted to base 8 and then codified. The sequence is simply takes the preceding two numbers added together to make the next, so the answer is the fourth option.
Third one is also shifted to base 8 and codified, and is simply pi so the answer is the fourth option again.
Fourth one is also a number sequence shifted to base 8 and codified. This sequence is every second prime number starting from 2 so the answer is the first option.
Final one codifies mathematical operators in addition to numbers. It asks for the answer to what's in the bolded box (i raised to the power of i). It gives a hint saying the codified numbers and operators outlined in pink equal to i. A little bit of advanced math leads to the fourth option as the answer.

Yep. Now it adds 2 different colors: one for block shapes and one for non block shapes. Now the puzzles actually look like what theyre supposed to be. I need to find a physical copy somewhere.
