Pirate game

Whats so hard about that?
Why do retards pay for games before they even try them? Why do retards watch others, holier than thou entitled retards that like to think they are journalists, playing and give them ad revenue instead of trying the shit themselves?

Why are gamers so retarded?

Because piracy is illegal and the devs deserve your money for their hard work, regardless of the quality of their product.
Or so they tell themselves.

Labor theory of value is some spooky shit.

I dont give a shit what shitty developers think.
I wonder why gamers are such dumb retards, you would think that a hobby thats is purely cerebral would atract smarter people. But no, gamers are a fucking braindead.

That is why the gamers are such dumb retards: it's what many of them have been conditioned to think. This, combined with their own need to fit in and feel "moral" is what leads to your average normalfag who disdains the pirate.

Morals breed retards and retards clump together in groups, while squeezing out the outliers.

because you can play a game for an hour and if you think its shit you can return it for a full refund no questions asked.

the demo excuse doesn't work anymore, either you buy the game or you never planned to. And that isn't to say I don't pirate, I pirate a fuckload of games. I just don't use that lame ass excuse because I can't even delude myself into believing it anymore.

inb4 leagues of "but muh libre"

I thought steam let you have two hours for refunds

There's no excuses needed. If you can't be stopped, you should do something.

Power is everything. Garbage like equality, liberty, and rights over things only come about through a balance of power in the state.

And if people complain, then they should try harder to stop you.

It's the same reason most don't return bad games like they should. They're massive beta cucks who don't have the balls to do something like pirate or returns.

ok

Many genres require more than 2 hours to figure out whether they are good or just bullshit. Strategy, RPGs, Simulations…

I exploit Steam refunds, if the game can't draw me in quickly enough I just stop caring and get my money back. It's somewhat of a shame, because games nowadays tend to be pretty large so a couple of hours hardly does them justice, and there are several older games that only get good after a few hours of runtime, but I just can't be bothered to wait. Plenty other fish in the sea.

Maybe I'm in the wrong, maybe I shouldn't treat games as disposable pieces of entertainment I just toss around once I stop having fun, but with so many games being released, constant sales, and still some backlog, I don't worry.

Whats so hard about that?

Why do retards pay for games like barging into a store? Why do retards talk to someone, holier than thou entitled retard that likes to think he is a journalist, playing and give him ad revenue instead of trying the shit?

Why are gamers so lose?

It's illegal and no one wants to risk downloading a virus

I dont mind watching someone else play a game to see if I would like it, I have critical thinking skills and dont just think its good because they say it is, I also don't watch them for hours on end.

=========================================

But user, Strategy and Sim games are always shit, and an RPG takes 30 minutes tops to determine if it's a good game or not.

You're forgetting the giant console market. Although at this point the cancer has dug into PC gaming too.

Because they're soulless

...

>HARD WORK

It's way easier to pirate, and there's less risks

Jeeze I completely forgot they cut that turd loose, how bad is it?

Better yet, post an image of the No Mans Sky reviews.

That's the single game that I'm most happy I could pirate.

Because you can't pirate everything, or people don't want to jump through hoops to pirate. Streams and lets plays let people see gameplay from people that are likely more trustworthy than game reviewers, though there are definitely streamers that shill, some even do it for free. Buying almost anything released this year is full retard though. 2016 was a total shitshow.

More like hardly working.XD

I don't even know, all I heard from reviews was that the port was bad they couldn't even experience the fucking thing.

Got you covered fam.

WHAT'S THE SOURCE?

but max, the devs were already (severely(under))paid for their labor by their capitalist bosses, how is it my responsibility to give the owners of capital my hard-earned yet meager wages? I can barely afford rent. pls respond i bookmarked this thread.

shooting at monsters with a chaingun sure is thought provoking

At least we got a good console port :^)

I mostly pirate my games. Really only pay for something that I actually think are going to be good. But I've been fooled a few times because of this. Basically, I have a strike system where if a developer fucks up more than three times. I just don't buy any of their games anymore. This doesn't have to involve the game being bad itself. It could be the developer saying stupid shit or treating customers like shit. I also involve publishers too based on their actions too.

Of course, if a developer can redeem themselves within three years. Maybe I'll give them my money. Is it that hard?

it's an obese guy fucking women with time stopped, it's better for laughing at than for fapping

Top tier taste user.

...

Gaming is an entertainmemt hobby and peoole are just seeking plain entertainment. I know this might sound strange but we're extremely picky autists. Some people really do want to just get a mindless game going to have something to do in their free time. And as tech improves, so will free time and things needed to fill in that time.

...

...

I dont know user, but I've seen the future of emulation.

FPGA

SNES NOW!

TPP is ded user

why would you judge a game after 10 minutes of game play when most don't even get good until 30 minutes at least

shit, you're barely out of the tutorials in modern games in 10 minutes.

the tpp is just the latest form of a recurring miniboss

I feel like you can judge a game within 10 minutes if not immediately. If there's quality, it shines through. A game made by devs who care and fully utilize their resources just feels different from other games. That quality extends to mechanics, level design, and everything else. I guess you can't predict the plot falling apart at the end, but you should watch movies instead if you care about plot that much.

I've never been burned by this, but I only play older games anyways. Maybe new games do need more time to get fun.

Because people aren't niggers. And you should be executed for being a nigger

People aren't "taking" anything, as taking removes the original. Instead, they're magicking it into existence. If a nigger walks up to you and steals your 3DS that you were playing in public like a manchild, that is taking.

If someone walks up to you, waves their hand and magics a perfect copy into existence, plays it for a few minutes before deciding it's shit and throwing it in the trash, did he steal it? Did he take it? No. You still have the original.

Why choose a picture of Stirner for that shitty goy tier comment.

oh the hoops we will jump through to feel good about ourselves

The nigger isn't taking away the 3ds from the guy on the street, rather, he is taking away a service provided from Nintendo by using the guy's 3ds as a base to copy from. It's still illegal, it's just that no one can really track you and press charges for it, nor do they really care to do so for each individual.

The only reason pirates try to come up with bullshit excuses like these when no one actually cares if you pirate is because, in the end, they do probably feel guilt for taking shit they can afford for free. Either that, or they just have that huge of an ego, that they couldn't possibly be doing anything wrong.

This argument only exists from people who have no creative output and would starve to death if it weren't for other people taking care of them. Either mommy or the government, or having some minimum wage job a company created for you.

Funnily enough, those very same people are opposed to the idea of working extra hours for free. What, surely it's not taking seeing as nobody is removing anything from you. You still have your hands and feet.

...

why do people respond to bait instead of hiding the thread or the poster

You still get taxed by banks for the transfers, only clean exception is the steam wallet option which guarantees you will buy something else.

...

Bingo Tarte

No hoops, just facts.

No, he isn't taking anything. We already went over this. Pic VERY related.
Legality does not dictate morality.

Not an argument.

So let's say I created, designed, then produced a product that I distrubted for a set price that a friend of yours buys. You then go on and make a copy of the product that your friend purchased, for free. In doing so, you have increased the number of products without any sort of compensation to the original producer causing inflation and creating a loss in value. You also have failed to pay the original producer back for his service in designing and creating the product that you have indulged in.

For me it takes less to watch 10 minutes of gameplay on youtube with no commentary, than to find/wait for a torrent, wait for it to download(can take more than 10 minutes), install it(can take several minutes), hope that it starts and I don't have to install other things, then start the game and watch the unskipable cutscene then play it for ten minutes. Plus when I watch a 10 minutes gameplay video, I don't watch the first 10 minutes of a game, which usually isn't as fun as the middle/end point, I watch it somewhere around the middle of the game.
So yeah, why are piratefags so retarded.
Plus if it's just to demo it, you can even refund the game on steam if you played for less than 2 hours, and you can also refund it on gog but only if the game is unplayable

If what you have created can be perfectly cloned by a third party without any expenditure of resources, then it has no intrinsic value beyond what people are willing to donate to you. You are not entitled to compensation, as no goods or services were exchanged for an agreed upon sum of currency. Lets say I create a recipe for some really baller macaroni salad with millions of dollars spent on R&D, taste testing, and marketing, and sell it for $60. One of my customers buys it, writes down the recipe on a sticky note, and gives it to their friend. Am I entitled to additional compensation? Obviously not.

How about another analogy? Were the local vintners entitled to compensation when Jesus magically turned water into wine, violating their intellectual property, "causing inflation and creating a loss in value"? Again, the answer is no.

Actually, refunding a game on Steam costs the content creators money, as Valve passes the transaction fees onto the publisher, while if you had pirated it and decided you didn't like it, there would have been zero loss or gain.

Moralfags lose again.

what really happens when you pirate

Never trust those 3DM cracks!

Piracy is simply easier and if you have anti-virus software and a firewall on you can tell when they are trying to cuck you. While with steam you can tell, but you can'd do anything about it.

That's how this works right? You need only 10 minutes to tell if its good or not?

Do i deserve money for reverse engineering their game to make it playable without DRM?

Also

To put this statement into perspective:
A single core on this four core processor is more powerful than all cores of the PS4 CPU combined. Even on highly threaded loads. The GPU is the third most powerful graphics processor in the history of mankind. And the second fastest GPU that actually sells in significant numbers, atm. It is several orders of magnitude more powerful than any GPU in existence when the two consoles were released.

Yet, their product only runs on very low setting at 1080p on it. I can't even imagine the amount of incompetency needed to accomplish this.

It's as simple as that
Only a few new games have it, and in the threads it wasn't clear what it does, besides sending data for achievements and online servers in multiplayer games.

It's always that.

I still practice pre-judgement of games to avoid wasting time like that again.

i have an unopened 1070 sitting on my mantelpiece i'm too lazy to install

where's it on that list?

Actually it was proven that only a few new games had it, such as No Man Sky and Witcher 3(I think).

Lots of ports run like shit. Cowadooty games are infamous for running like shit on certain high end builds.

It's the card the post is about. The only GPUs that beat it are the 1080 and the Pascal Titan X.

Casual babby that got his shit rekt two jumps in detected.

...

huh

didn't know it was so good

This board has people that think Valkyrie Drive is the next Bayonetta because you have to hold a button press every now and then instead of just spamming the attack button. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
FTL is pretty decent though.

Because downloading something from the comfort of your own home is easier than going out to a store and wasting your money on garbage and after that you're not even sure if you can get a refund.

A chaingun specialist run in DoomRL is fun.

I can often tell from the first 5 minutes of the first episode if an anime is good or not. But even so, you can't really compare movies to games.

Jeeez user, your mind is really fit for all those jumps on Hoops…

i know why. and i will tell you.
it stems from an overarching problem of western civilisations - westerners are trained to consume.
purchase decisions go beyond rational thought and bends over into emotional double-think. there are two trains to this that i will talk about, but they are not the only ones.

the first is purely emotional - see: nintentards. this is painful as i used to be one myself but here goes - nintendo fans are incessently optimistic and perpetually forgiving to a company that does not love them back.
shitty wii u library? constant region locking? censorship, again and again? good game series being fucked up by decrepit old men (sticker star)? derirative iterations every cycle? nope it's all good, they will buy this stupid shit without blinking. consider: the wii, 3ds and wii u all have virtual console. and now they're shitting themselves over the mini nes, another fucking emulator.

the second is part of a greater, colour by numbers, counter the counter-culture zeitgeist. these are the zealots on neogaf, social media, plebbit, cuckchan and fuck knows where else. there are first the obvious implications of herd mentality - goodness knows you won't survive in neofag without it - but further there is a deliberate, thoughtless denial to genuine criticism and rejection of crooked mainstream practises.
mass effect 3 was well received despite the bullshit. street fighter x tekken went on to see play at evo despite the on-disc dlc locked characters. no mans meme, evolve, brink and all the other shitty games Holla Forums and others called out but were still lapped up (fun fact, IGN gave brink 9/10, kek). gamergate falls under this to an extent.
this isn't conscious decision. it's a 'this game got shit on? must be those nasty trolls! hey neofag this game is fucking epic!'

theres more to it. mindless consumption is the enemy wasdawsdassdaqsd

Blablalbablabla.

You aint gonna pirate ps4 games anyway.so cry, faggot.

When will we face the final boss?

When we march towards israel

scrubs gonna scrub

...

Neither of these necessarily have you buy vidya instead of pirating.

I think the difference between Holla Forums and those faggots is that here all the faggots who tried out the newest shit game see it how it is and post accordingly. Plebbit is constantly overrun by newfags and shills, who drive out anyone people who play good games, at least from their main boards.

Because people in the (((current year))) are conditioned to be perfect consumers who try to put the company theyre buying from first, rather than putting themselves first, like any reasonable person throughout history has done. Make no mistake, this was socially engineered by these companies to try and achieve maximum profit, as well as to be seen as a brand for the gamers to latch onto, so the gamers who fall for this, which are probably the majority, attach their identity to the company and it's products. And then when you have a vested, emotional attachment to this company, an attack on them makes it personal to these people. To pirate a game to "try before you buy" is horrible, even if you delete the game afterwards and buy if you like, ignore otherwise, is still horrible because you're not "putting your faith in them", and not "supporting them".That's not even taking into account that many of them seem to take any criticism of a game as a personal attack on them either.

?

wat, stirner is a top goy

i enjoy reading about poor peoples tribulations, please post more stories guys

Your post is so bad, that it could be considered bait.
user, it's not game's fault that you are too dumb and have close to none attention span to enjoy those things.
Nigger, did you even play rpgs? Intros alone take fucking hours, like without any meaningful gameplay mechanics being introduced.
->

Even without rolling for shit you can just farm skills for your crew members, which is tedious, but ensures victory given that you have a head on your shoulders.
Without that you can easily consider ftl as a random rng generator game which isn't worth your time.
Music and artstyle are breddy good though

No, because your friend who got the macaroni recipe remade the recipe from scratch, only following the guidelines. They did not make an exact copy of your original product, eliminating the service and production costs on your part. It would be different if you sold that macaroni using the given recipe, since you are profiting from another persons creation. However, if you make a copy of a game, you literally make an exact copy of that product, creating inflation.
As for you Jesus analogy, no one owned the water, and no one owned the recipe to creating the wine that Jesus made. Jesus also made that wine using his own labor, using the water as a base.
I'm not even against pirating, just do it and don't make excuses just to make yourself feel better, you sillyfaggot.

Because I have absolutely no reason to trust crack authors. How would I know if they put a backdoor / botnet in their modded exe file? No guarantee it would actually do anything right away. Maybe wait 6 months, then infect 10% of users - would it ever be traced back to that crack? Just don't trust them.

It's not like I buy games day 1 or anything. Wait a few weeks, check out opinions from youtubers with similar taste to my own, if it doesn't work I have a few hours to test before I can't refund.

Also publishers keep track of the pirate rate to use a justification for more DRM. If you don't want DRM, you shouldn't pirate even if you really are just after an evaluation copy.

You're obviously not arguing from a legal standpoint. But even from a moral standpoint I think you're wrong. I think morals should try to shape the world into a place that is better for everyone. The reason we allow ownership of intellectual property is to incentivize people to work hard on ideas. If an idea costs 1 billion USD to come up with, it will never exist if there isn't a legal protection for it. So we as a society agree to allow IP ownership. In theory I agree with the sentiment of these laws, even though I think some protections in the DMCA for example go too far.

Also, digital in my view aren't the same as a recipe or an algorithm - they can't actually be copied easily, it's only the incredible speed of computers that allows easy duplication.

That specific use case can be migrated for the most part by using a Firewall that supports whitelisting and only allowing certain applications/.exe`s to connect to the internet.
That is apart of it, however publishers love being in control so even if there way no unauthorized coppying DRM would still be included.

I want to go back in time and punch myself in my stupid face.

The best thing you can do if you actually want to improve the industry is follow OPs lead but play for more than 10 minutes unlike some instant gratification faggot and if you like the game buy it.

I know it's not even that great, I know how it fucking ends, but I just want to play it once. Fuck me.

It's been here for a while. If you consider 2007 the year everything went to shit, it's had 15 years to infest PC gaymen.

Well, do you have it?

It's not Arkane's fault that Bethesda is run by literal Satans.

plenty of great games have rocky starts. Most of Holla Forums's acclaimed games are like this. Most of Holla Forums games are also older games.

it's simple why things are this way. Small sales numbers.

oy vey the China wants to get you goy dont you worry about them globalists in your country!

Maybe I want the option to repeat certain parts or mull things over or take a shit without having to start and reenter the game. God help you if the game has a launcher that you forget to close.
For strategy games i'll start and stop for hours, just checking out the different factions and trying to experiment.

So what happens when pirate the game and it's good? I don't care about piracy one way or another but any game that isn't locked up and fucked over with DRM gets pirated day in and day out because we've got a generation of kids who don't give a damn about what happens when a studio takes a risk with something new and it doesn't do well. Be fucking honest. You pirate because you don't want to pay for it, that's it. This try before you buy shit is such a tired excuse it's laughable. So enjoy your dishonored 2, your FF15, Fallout 4 shit and next time some poor retarded user comes asking why we don't get good games. Tell the truth. Because good games don't make enough money because of piratefags who can't wait for a sale and at the end of the day no matter how good a game is if it doesn't make enough to make the investors happy it's trash and you won't see anything like it again unless it's put under a safe brand that will sell on name alone.

And before you faggots get all pissy, yeah I'm guilty of doing exactly the same thing, of course I know it's wrong and I don't make bullshit excuses about it.

Thanks Rare.

Labor theory of value doesn't say that people are forced to buy your stuff, only what the price should be.

sage for way off topic

First, because I don't trust anonymous people on the Internet to not try to fuck with me when it comes to downloads. And second, because it's easy as fuck to get refunds.

That's not how it works. The game is shit. Your income is shit.

>you would think that skinner boxes would attract smarter people. The stimulation is technically cerebral, after all.

Pirating is scary

...

cry moar

I played this for a while. It tickled my action adventure boner so I stopped playing it and I'm still waiting for it to be on sale so I can buy it.
