lol. Yanks.

Maybe if the film wasn't boring pretentious dogshit without a 2:40:00 runtime people would have saw it.

It's almost like making a totally unncessary sequel to a movie that's older than most people watching the sequel is a stupid business move or something.

Protip: It's generally a good idea to make products for an audience. That audience is unlikely to exist when the movie you're making the sequel to is pushing 40.

You better be Bravo Nolan if you're gonna go anywhere near that franchise.

Do people still think Dune is going to get made? For two decades now the Dune remake has been in the script stage.

It really isn't. It's borderline flick. Americans are just THIS pleb.

They shouldn't have hired Ryan Gosling he's actually poison.

Yeah, it needed more funny quips too.

Literally the most boring shit possible

Blade Runner has never been complex.
They're flicks with slightly more artistic integrity than the standard fair. About half a step above Nolan.
Do you understand how pleb people who find these films "boring at pretentious" are now?

I'm still waiting, hoping, praying…

Blade Runner 2049 COULD have been original

Yeah, they could have hired a black woman as lead.

They could have written something good

...

How would you have written it?

...

Why would you go and do that?

...

C beams

I bet you're a goon that's actually asshurt that there wasn't enough jewish political messaging in the film.

I just ordered the steelbook of this kino. How does that makes you liberals feel?

Pic related

kickstarter it

it is pretentious, though. I know that word is misused a lot, but it was invented for stuff like this. pretending to be intelligent and artistic when it just isn't.

...

I really hope the project never gets off the ground because the whole movie will be Chani and the Bene Gesserit cucking everyone. Also, Paul Atreides will be played by John Boyega and Harkonnen will be a comic relief villain. I'd rather not witness that.

See

Why do shitskins love this movie so much?
twitter.com/BravoDABID

Probably because shitfuture reminds them of their native lands.

...

...

The shitskinning of the world means the end of civilization, which includes art

And the evolving technology means the individualization of art. Soon you will be able to train an A.I to get your own scripts made with the cast you want, using samples from all the movies made in the past.

Thanks for confirming that only goons don't like it.

BR2049 is too long to sit through in a cinema. 2:40 hours is enough for a cola to work it's way through my system to make me have to piss.

That and I have to get up and walk around a bit in such a long winded movie. It's better to watch at home with a break or two.

You don't drink anything during it since you know it's so long. It's a white man's kino, only people who can plan ahead and understand consequences of their actions can watch it in kinomas.

didn't brendan fraser say the same about monkeybone?

It's neither arthouse nor shit. It's a good movie but not outstanding, an unnecessary sequel that isn't an embarrassment for the original. It's just the nature of Holla Forums to go to extremes and claim that everything is either garbage or gold.

amateur

Betaboi

It was a 5/10 at best

If Sicario is any indication of his ability to direct an action thriller he should have taken the Bond gig.

Blade Runner is too high scifi for amerimutts. You like explosions, superpowers, fast speeding cars and witty marvel dialogue.

70 years of jewish brainwashing made you stupid, yank. Your entire country is niggers of varied colors.

Has he never directed a film that wasn't overrated?

Don't insult capekino, yuropoor. Only eurotrash could stand sitting through the artsy fartsy snoozefest that was BR2049. You wish you could appreciate Nolan.

This film has explosions and fast speeding cars though. It's flick through and through, and it's still not pleb enough.

*yawn*
Try again /brit/kike. You're too obvious with your anti-yank sentiment.

You must be a real idiot if you thought Emily Manface Blunt and her pet nigger were the main characters of Sicario.
hint: look who is in the sequel

we /a/ now?

They really were huffing their own farts when they made this. It wasn't good and it wasn't beautiful either. It was a shitty, boring movie which didn't know what it wanted to be. I Robot is more artistic than this movie.

Hint: Looks who is in the production
Pro-tip: Not the OG's

Let's not go there
At least, strictly visually, the Headquarters corridors and database scenes were very good

Imagine my shock

My normie father and brother liked it and we're American. I don't know what made it "art house" it was pretty strait forward.

How?
How is it not artistic? Film is inherently art.

This is exactly my opinion on it. Even as I watched it I could tell it had flaws but liked it. Thank you user.

Retcons the final version ending and de-mystifies several characters
It's pretty bad in is context of being a sequel, but it wasn't a bad movie in its central point, K's personal life

i'm sorry you wasted money on that

you mean yuropoors, the movie flopped here.

nobody can deny the visuals of br2049 is pure porn, but user isn't wrong to say that i, robot had more going for it.

I bought a miracle.

The aesthetics porn.

shit flick

You can't blame Denis for that, the kikes have been trying to sweep the white genocide under the rug as much as possible. How could he know that the white middle class that loved the original was dead and buried? Someone should have told him that low IQ and class subhumans are what you should pander to these days.

To accept Villeneuve as a quality director is to garb yourself in a coat of hot pockets and video games and then writhe around on the ground in a supermarket while screeching and slapping yourself on the sides of your head.

He is cheeto dust. Nothing more.
Nothing more than a hack, a useful tool for studios to trot out to say "Hey, we're making art house!" I cannot wrap my head around the adulation he receives, let alone the wide praise this has got. The film trudges from set piece to set piece, leaves us no real questions or anything to think about really.

The same bullet that kills a capeshit fan will also kill the Villeneuve and Paul Thomas Anderson fan. They come from the same root, from the same doritos stained console. They are frauds, and as a warrior of cinema it's my duty to expose the fakes and the inauthentic when I see them. I will fight with crawls and teeth until the last imposter is fallen to the ground
I have about as much respect for denis villeneuve as I do for the dogshit on my shoe. It is reddit. It is video game hot pocket. It is capeshit. It is cheeto dust. I'm literally screaming right now and slamming my arms down on my desk just thinking about it.

Imagine sitting next to an Villeneuve fan. The smell as he rubs the cheeto dust into his body in preparation for viewing his "based" movie. The flutter of his fedora as he tips ecstatically as Deakins pans shots in great numbers like one of his video game cutscenes. The sound of him vibrating at the hot pocket resonance every time "based" meme actor is on screen.

It is the most depraved video game infantilized manchild degeneracy. It is saturday morning cartoon. It is non-neurotypicality. It is memes. It is video game. It is tarantino. It is imdb.
It is coca-cola puberty. It is axe body spray. It is a white stain on boxer shorts. It is arri alexa hot dog caffeine on disney channel.

On a purely sci-fi-thematic point, I Robot asks questions that makes Nu-Runner seem like a superhero-movie rather than a sci fi movie. And if we are comparing it to the noir-isch original which this sequel is based on, Blade Runner 2049 is like a fantasy movie with way too good looking scenery for a downtrodden, dystopic world in which animals are extinct basically. I mean, it looks too sleek, the movie is too sleek and the story is shit, especially with the whole robots makes babies.

And let's not go into worlds shittiest actor, Jared Leto "playing" god.

He plays the devil.

Is it just me, or is 2049's visuals a step down from from the original.
I get that brutalism suits 2049's setting, but brutalism is just less interesting than the original's intricate architecture/interiors.
The execution is also less elaborate, the original has crazily elaborate lighting for example, 2049 has generic 3-point lighting in a lot of interior scenes.

Pic related, I get that haze and silhouettes look pleasing, but I just find the original's lighting and design more artistic.

I dunno, while Blade Runner 2049 seems less lived in and realistic I do love the brutalism. The film has a certain physical quality to it, the minimalism makes the composition feel cleaner and bigger.

what a fantastic, evocative contrast

shame they turned rachel into a dame instead of the goat killing bitch from the source material

Blade Runner 2049 was not Kino. lol Though I do want that robot woman to crush my balls. Always wanted a Android to do that to me.

Christ yes

I agree with both of you. I think mimimalism is cancer but the 2049 world feels like more realistic futurism from our current perspective. I really like and appreciate the futurism from the original Blade Runner era but as well. I think it's just different more than better/worse.

Yeah, it's a stylistical difference and it's a case of apples and oranges. Blade Runner 2049 reminded me of silent films.

I'm , and I, too agree with>>1122932, actually. I really like the "dead feel" that 2049 has, and it may be the best movie with brutalism architecture. It's just that the original looks a lot more intricate, and I think it has to do with both the visual style and execution.
2049 uses brutalism well, and I'd say it has 8/10 execution, which is great, especially compared to all other movies these days. But the original is like a 11/10 to me, every shot is completely on ppoint and every single prop looks so much more interesting.

Pic related is just two characters conversing in a room, and yet is looks so fucking good, it doesn't need to have such good lighting, but it does. Everything looks so perfect, and while 2049 looks really good, I think the original is on another level, and it's a bit absurd seeing some fanboys saying 2049 exceeds the original.

shit,

bumpin

Speaking of brutalism, anyone else really like brutalist architecture?

Is this the cuckiest fetish there is or what?

If Americans are plebs then why did it fare better in Europe?

Because Europeans aren't plebs. Are you slow, Amerimutt?

I really love it but only when it's tasteful and not just generic copy-pasted commie blocks.

This tbh, I'd much rather let Japs convert it to an anime.

Makes me feel uncomfortable.

As much as I hate soynime, I rather see it in 2d than it being blacked.

Really? I think it's comfy.

Commie blocks tend so look rather tasteless but communist architecture can look pretty nice.

It makes more sense to make wildly imaginative books like Dune into animated films honestly. The cost of making something different isn't nearly as high as when you do it live action. Of course it won't get made since animation is a dead art in the west but I'd lovr to see an Art Nouveau animated adaption of the first four Dune books.

Denis is a shitty name

That looks better than the other one you posted. The right picture is still kind of unsettling because theres no furniture.
