Games you feel a bit disappointed with once you read up on all the cut content they had

I still liked Mafia 2 though I wonder how the game would have turned out if these things, or even sitting and reading news papers made it into the game. Alternatively Mafia Thread

What were the other endings?

I have no idea, all I remember reading about was that the one that made it into the final game was their "preferred" ending. I hear Mafia 3 finally added multiple endings but looking at it it seems to lack the polish that 2 had, and seems rushed out the door. All I want to play that game for is seeing what happens to Vito.

Wasn't there plans to make New Vegas the hub for the game and have it be massive, but Bethesda fucked Obsidian over?

god damn when I read all the cut shit from this it made me boil with eternal rage.

That's pretty much what happened. They promised Obsidian a bunch of time to work on it then last minute told them to ship it in half the promised time.

Link.

learn the difference mongoloid

I was disappointed about 30 minutes into playing it once I realized how much they were padding out gameplay with driving. Not even fast driving either, SLOW fucking driving.

Zenimax are awful kikes, but honestly Obsidian is just incompetent.

this game

Is that what the game actually looks like? That low FPS jitter is making me nauseous.

DD was a nice game but it had a lot of cut content including a moon level. Has anyone got the images about the original planned world as well as the eternal tower that went through every world?

No, at least for me the game runs at upwards of 60 fps.

Can recommend at least playing it, for nine years of work it's a bit on the short side but it's very well done game.

Could be your web browser being slow,
but the game has cut content, removed dialogue, enemies and all that kind of stuff. The original demo had droppable items that acted as temporary buffs and actual save points in the game, along with the demo trailer showing scenes with otus and his mentor. A missing fourth shooter too, could be the other pirate or something more gay.

Looks like they streamlined it, it has a lot of same shit that Ori has, new skills with quite minimal use just for forward progression and then a big bang at the end of a scene. I still like it but I feel like we've been getting a few too many of these faux metroidvanias where there's no real backtracking or exploring, just the X to go to to progress when you get a new skill.

Would you say it's worth buying?

I'll pirate AAA games all day, fuck the kikes, but I like to support indie devs if they're actually putting out a quality product

I don't think it's my browser, as other webms look fine (see one of my 60fps far cry 2 webms). Focus on the background in the webm you posted. See how it doesn't fluidly move from left to right, it just jumps to each new position?

Is this an MGSV thread?

Still a very good game regardless and a bunch of snow levels have made their way into the rest of the series to sort of fill the void. All the same,
SIXTH ARCHSTONE NEVER EVER

Here's another 20 minutes of characters and enemies also cut from Demon's Souls.

Well, I'm not a shill or anything, and I could give you twenty negative things about it and why not to buy it, but I completed in three days after scurvying and decided to buy it to support the dev(s?). I don't buy many games, only those that I feel deserve the money for their effort. I think it was worth it but I implore you to scurvy first and try it out.

Alrighty, trying before I buy. Sitting here thinking 1GB seems pretty heavy for a small indie game.

I know, I know.

all i hear about this fucking game is
i dont give a fuck, is it any good and how long is it? because i see a common trend with indie games were they think because they spent a long time on it, it justifies a stupid price for a short game

Uncompressed audio will be the doom of moderate filesizes

To be fair, how many indies like this have as long a dev time. I don't think that was ever the selling point, it was more like abandonware become life when the last trailer popped up earlier this year. How long is it? I looked at the list of coins to pick up and I was missing at least 100 in every area I had been to, so there's probably some hidden areas, I mostly just pushed through the main story. I think at the final boss save I'm 7-8 hours in.

God I wish they'd just quit souls and go back to this stuff, I really wanted to explore there more, especially the village that was on fire and those monsters attacking it.

nigga dont try to defend the game time to collectibles and secrets. ill pass on a 25 dollary doo game for 7-8 hours. ill get it on sale

Why not pirate

because ever since kickass died i dont know where to go

TPB, Demonoid

inb4 honeypot

it's more or less trash
>then the game gets rid of all and allows you to teleport whenever you feel like although the demo had teleportation, it had an adequate cooldown
>later on the game you gain your third friend and you can charge up your shot and zip through places really fast except in doing so you can knock out or stun enemies and become invincible for a short period, it's so fucking powerful that you can actually never get damaged as long you're zipping left and right during only two boss fights

God I hate Crapcom execs they need to finish this game or make a sequel.

Dragon's Dogma
The story ended just when the story started get interesting and it needed more monster variety too.

I think a lot of people don't realize that having more content with a game isn't necessarily better

I'll use an example. In Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines there's a lot of endings but they ultimately play the same. There's virtually no difference between the lone wolf and anarch endings apart from the Lone Wolf ending having a separate scene at the very end where the protagonist walks away from the major characters. It was because they wanted to have multiple endings but were rushed and couldn't actually flesh them out. But they kept them anyway rather than removing the repetitive ones and further fleshing out the more distinct ones.

And sure a lot of content that we hear was cut sounds awesome but to the dev's point of view it means delaying the game past the point people are interested in playing it, or it means taking from something that they wanna focus on more. Like I highly doubt half of the people here would've played New Vegas until years later if it was delayed and came out after Skyrim. Spending time to actually have that uber cool snow level might mean that the game has less endings.

It's why I much prefer it when fans try to recreate cut content in games rather than wishing the developers finished it themselves. Because more often than not modders have more time to actually envision those ideas rather than leave them half baked.

That's putting it gently. Bethesda tied Obsidian's bonuses to Metacritic scores and said they needed an 85 to get their bonuses. Considering the thing about journos being tied to the game industry, it seems too coincidental for them to get an 84.

Combined with explaining Bethesda's bullshit concerning the timeframe, it feels like Bethesda only gave Obsidian the chance to make New Vegas in an attempt to force Obsidian to make and release shit, then use that as proof they're treating Fallout better than what's left of Black Isle. When that failed, because BGS seems to be a skeleton crew of hacks, they probably pressured someone to give a mediocre review to get the Metacritic score low enough to get out of paying Obsidian the bonuses.

Hilariously enough, I think Zenimax Online did a better job with Elder Scrolls than BGS did with Skyrim.

That's terrible.

Its not that its slow, it wants you to obey the rules of the road though its pretty easy to evade the cops or bribe your way out. I think the problem is that its really trying to pad out the map, it looks pretty but outside of collecting porn or just stopping by and appreciating the view there's not much to do in it.

Some of the content can be given a look through in the games files, it just never was in time for the games release.

New Vegas was yet another example of Bethesda being hyper turbo kikes and trying to scummily fuck over their dev.

You make a good point but a better example would have been STALKER Lost Alpha. LA was a complete recreation of all the cut content that was from Shadow of Chernobyl and basically what the game was originally intended to be.

It was pretty much a disaster with awful level design, bad questlines, locations that were monstrously big with not much content, also awful vehicle sections. It was like being a tester and seeing all this awful shit that needed to either be fixed or cut completely.

Lost Alpha is a relatively good example although STALKER is a bit of a unique case since so many of its beta builds were released. And we can see how drastically the game changed from its earliest builds where it was a sci-fi space shooter to the 1935 build where it was basically complete but had even more content that later appeared in Clear Sky

I can't put into words how much I want to play the original Dinosaur Planet.
