all of them released before (current year)

Phantasy Star Online.

...

Final Fatassy: Crystal Chronicles

RIP in piece, sweet prince.

Closer to 8/10, but I've not yet found a game I enjoyed more in multiplayer despite its flaws.

Sleep well, friend. I'm sorry you never had a chance because of your idiot developers.

...

...

lethal league 2 when? I got over a hundred hours in the first one before it died but I still want to play it and the bots just don't cut it.

...

Isn't Quake Live basically Quake 3?

This really kills me inside. SFV stole all the dedicated players somehow, and then when they found out it was shit they just left fighters for good.

This was a good game. I bought the four pack for my friends so we could play multi for good times. We maybe got a few games before the servers where empty. Shame.

Honestly this is the only one I miss. It was all I ever wanted (small-scale infantry combat with extremely limited vehicles).

Half the reason I bought a 360. Game was a fucking masterpiece.

God, fuck you Zombie Now Hardsuit Labs, you niggers fucked up your best game.

all you need is the server files to host,a 24/7 server shouldn't be too hard

I know, user. It kills me anytime I feel the itch to play it and remember it's deader than disco.

I remembered the big pre-parity patch when they patched out all of the fun 'jump out of the world' holes but did fucking NOTHING about the memory leaks or atrocious ballistics model.

Zombie can't into gamedev. I honestly suspect they had no idea how to fix those problems.

First game I ever got banned in due to hackusations. Fuck I was so good at that game… easily the best Battlefield game. Too bad the only maps people ever wanted to play later on were Harvest Day and Heavy Metal… they sucked hard. Probably why the game is dead.

And BC2:Vietnam was DOA, though that might be for the best considering the amount of hackers playing it.

Ephinea and Ultima are both pretty active private servers user.
Hell, even Schthack has players considering their assbackwards way of allowing cheaters to play.

If they put up a "legacy" version of this that was just the old PC version I would play the shit out of it.
I tried the updated version once and after getting over the excitement of having some new shit to play around with like the bow I quickly realized how fucked up and casualized the PS4 version was in comparison, dropped that shit instantly.

Yeah man…I used to talk with the Sound/Music Designer, Morgan Green. He was a pretty cool guy and used to let me know what was going on behind the scenes and what we could expect for new updates. It was really cool and exciting.

Then they fucked it all up. Still irritates me thinking about it. I look at the forums sometimes and see people who I used to know still talking shit and it baffles me that they cling to a corpse.

I would love some legacy servers, they were much better than the shit we have now. I think that I hate the PS4 UI the most, it's atrocious.

God I love that game so much especially the version for the Gamecube. I remember playing it with my friends on the weekend a long time ago. I plan on transferring my Racast to pc so I can still play it through an emulator.

I live and work in Seattle user and I sometimes see people (I presume) to be employees of Hardsuit Labs walking around because of their shirts.

I desperately want to ask them 'Why did you fuck up BLR?', but the defeated look in their eyes usually tells me all I need to know.

Do it user. I don't want to completely destroy their self-esteem, but I want to know what killed Blacklight. I remember Morgan Green fondly talking about them wanting to make a Blacklight: Retribution sequel someday. Something even better that they can be proud of. Now that's all gone to hell.

If I had to guess, I'd say it was a question of money for development, user. Perfect World Entertainment are notorious for being huge cunts (they're like a Chinese EA, in a way), and apparently the deal between Zombie and PWE was so shit that Zombie barely broke even on costs while PWE forced the aggressive microtransaction shit down their throats.

Sometimes I think about how good BLR could have been if Zombie sold it to Valve. It'd still have cosmetic MTX out the ass, but it'd be a stable game, have a large population, and be worked on by competent developers.

Then I stop thinking about that because it makes me incredibly depressed when I realize that BLR is dead and it's never coming back.

It's a hard pill to swallow user, but all we have are the good memories now.

I know that feel. I don't remember that happening in BC2, but I was banned dozens of times in BF4 by abusive admins before just dropping the game altogether.

I lost track of how many times that shit happened.

breathe in

I had so much fun with my custom melee / AMR build. I've never seen tryhards get so fucking mad when I one-shot their armor-using baby builds.

And people shit themselves with rage when they get melee killed in a FPS.

Remember when they got hacked and had a malware site on the game's front page? Ah, the years.

I don't think there were ever people playing that online, even when it was fresh released.
Good thing I have two controllers so I can still play it locally I guess. ;__;

I remember when the Tomahawk just came out and you could set off the explosive mid-flight. It was a thing of beauty fucking people over with that. I also remember that people started to get really really mad whenever you would spawn a Hardsuit.

"wow hardsuit noob u suk."

Nigga, ain't my fault that you can't aim at the weak point or have enough points to get a single goddamn Stinger.

Yeah, I remember the malware. I also remember when bots or whatnot started to shit up the forums with those fake download sites and whatnot. You know the ones. There were fucking thousands of those threads made in like a week, if not less. I remember it sucked shit because I had just become one of the mods and PWE didn't give anyone the ability to ban users, so we could only remove the threads, not that it would've made that much of a difference.

I tried to host a server, the server hosting tools are shit.

My preferred melee weapon was the Shuriken Knuckles. They'd do 200dmg/hit before they got nerfed and you could throw them as an area denial method if you needed. The fucking false positive hitreg shit on the Breach Hammer almost gave me a stroke.

To think of all of the surveys I lied through to get PWE Fun Bucks to buy shit in that game.

The good ol' days.

i'd play online, but wombat internet
also, no friends.
still play with computer

i hear the devs aren't interested in adding characters .
think they're going around showcasing the game

MUH
AFRICAN AMERICAN BROTHER

This is barren these days. Hope they announce a VI at one point.

There were, but it was a lot of hopeless mashers and a few competent/good players. I think I only ever found one guy at my skill level before it dropped off completely.

Shattered Galaxy

There was and still is nothing else like it, I sunk so many hours into this fuckin game.
I never see anyone talk about it though, did anyone else play it?

...

I just wanted to go fast…

What happened to that private server that was hosted by some anons?

holy shit user, I've been looking for that game forever. Used to play it all the time years ago, but forgot the name.
thanks for the nostagia kick

It's still kicking and there are more people online. I was referring to the official S4.

LOL

is there porn of her

I

;_;7

I haven't played Urban Terror in some years, but last time I played I could already tell the game was in decline and slowly dying. I heard people still play it, but I'm not sure, wish my pc wasn't dead so I could get back into it.

A shame about GunZ, I wouldn't be surprised if there's still some private server around, but it probably wouldn't be the same.

Quake 3's Weapons Factory Arena was the greatest 'team fortress' like ever made.

Fucking Depth manages to be an awesome assymetrical game with just the right amount of skill and awareness on both teams. The only faults I have in it is how sharks are either feast or famine - you HAVE to eat as many divers as you can early on and score all of the evolution points before they get enough money to get the high end gear.

Fucking awesome game and it is at its best when there is a free weekend and there is a spike of newbies for you to eat as a shark.

As much as I like the souls games fromsoft should have stopped after dark souls.

Heaps of badmins in that game though

BC2 was great while it lasted though. There's still a few active servers on but they're full of retarded server rules like no Gustavs or limits on the recon class

I disagree, but they in fact should not have released exclusively gothic ARPGS one after the other. Ideally they released a few new mecha games before they finally release a new game that is not a fucking sequel

It's not even close to being the best battlefield game. The best should always be chosen between 1942, vietnam, 2, and 2142. Bad company started the downward spiral and trends we see with battlefield today. Because of bad company, battlefield has become a cod clone with bigger maps.

I'll play it with you, if you have it.

I mean they released ACV, Mobile suit gundam unicorn, steel battalion and ACV 2 between Dark souls 1 and 2. Surely one of these is a mech game.

Shattered Galaxy was the tits, why has no one tried to make a MMO-RTS again?

...

...

It hurts my soul.
But that game never had online so that begs the question: can what never lived die?

Maybe the friends he played with did

;-;7

The last unique MMO I ever played. Goodnight, sweet prince, and may you never be bastardized into a moba.

...

Ratchet Deadlocked had some of the craziest shit happen in multiplayer, the same goes for UYA as well.

I have been considering converting a bunch of NPCs from it into Mutants & Masterminds.

Timesplitters had online on both xbox and ps2. I used to play all the time. What the fuck are you talking about?

doitfaggot.png

Also, read Wild Cards and thank me fucking later.

okay

I figure I'll start with Hellions and Skulls, because most of their mobs can be summed up as "take the thug template from the HH and give it Expertise: Magic and maybe some fire/death powers."

Once you can make stat blocks for Hamidon I'll be truly impressed.

Is that all it takes? I could do that right now, if the paragon wiki weren't down.

It deserved better.

WHY DOES IT HURT SO FUCKING MUCH

No Mans Sky. Hardly anyone is doing the multiplayers stuff. I've only seen maybe a dozen other players. I flew for a while with the other pilot each thinking the other was an NPC and then we both took a contract with the Gek to defend a convoy.

I wish more people were playing the multi on No man's Sky

Because you remember how good it is.
If you own it, I'll play you.

rain, stop locking your server to play shitty clan wars

MGO had a hard life…

My nigga. You can still find private servers like Freestyle Gunz but everyone playing is absurdly good.

...

Jedi Academy.

the community is still active for the jedi knight games, you can find a full lobby

Don't people still play the cracked version?

I'll never get all the cars now!

I own it but I never played it, is it better then primal carnage?

The Specialists is a fun action/kung-fu movie-based mod for HL where you can air-dodge, run up walls, find powerups that give you shit like bullet time or high jumps or shit, and let you make custom loadouts with all sorts of guns, attachments, knives/swords, etc.

It's absolutely crazy.

A fantastic game. Only real problem I had with it was that dual anything was totally overpowered.

Too, too crazy.

...

OP said 10/10 games.

Bad netcode kills an online community before it can even start, and that goes double for fighting games, which is a shame because I fucking love +R

Never personally played Primal Carnage but I can tell you Depth is the fucking shit. Community is not dead - you can still get games reliably and the core game is so fun you don't even care if you get stomped.

It is actually great fun no matter what side you are on - being a swimmer is fucking terrifying at all stages of the game and that is why it is so great.

Stealing shit with friends as a gang of balding fat guys was fun, even if the game wasn't that great.

...

We can still play this aging game you know.
twitter.com/oneida__/status/763556314526212096

We don't have to mope all day about wishing for a future installment. We can play VF5: FS today.

Why did i never heard of this before?

Because its initial released tanked so hard the company that made it went immediately bankrupt and someone else bought it and re-worked it. It still was P2W shit.

fuck you for reminding me.

I remember the day EA shut the servers off, everyone had a huge reunion for one last huge match. Great fucking times

You just had to remind me of how this great game died didn't you?

I wish, my PS3 kicked the bucket last month

Sorry for your loss.
Plan on getting a new one?

I always feel an aversion to multiplayer-centered console games. On PC, there's usually a dedicated community, user-mantained servers, lan and the like, but on the consoles once it's over, it's fucking over for good. And life cycles for those games are usually shorter. I can't shake the feeling that I'm in a dying world when playing one.
Except Demon's Souls, where it kinda fits.

Waiting to see what sega does for the 25th anniversary. If nothing gets announced, then I'll pick up a cheap PS3. They've been pumping out way too much VF merchandise these last two years, they gotta be working on something

Just 2 and a bit more years to go.

You must be 18 to post here

It hurts

I'm not wholly agreeing it should be a server rule, but a curtailed wookie plague would probably be kinda nice.

The thing is, a good recon can singlehandedly win you games, especially in rush

Even more so in BF3/4 when they have the respawn beacon

The fact that Generals 2 never got made is tragic.

Considering EA started to ASSFAGGOTS it before the based autistic community complained in masse, Im glad its fuckimg dead.
Just look at Dawn of War 3

Soul Calibur needs to do what Tekken did with Tekken Tag Tournament 2; just bring everyone or at least everyone who matters for a good Soul Calibur game. I'm sure SC isn't as bad as Mortal Kombat when it comes to amount of characters they've made over-time… r-right?

They were going to jew the fuck out of it. Be glad it went down in flames.

dude, just play double action boogaloo lmao.

Like, lmao, just why, hehehe.

This is from a MAD magazine isnt it?

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

I'm being serious

...

...

I didn't ask for these feels.

What was Urban Terror?

Oh shit, I tried this out a few months ago. It was garbage.

I tried Urban Terror like a month ago and it was still alive and kicking, though I dropped it because of a sprint meter that depletes like you're playing as this board's BO.

maybe not 10/10
but they were fun and interesting enough that they desrve more than they got

psn?

I WANT TO GO BACK

hol up. it does have MP?

Yes

Dont we all?

they have a very good private server up for SWG.
we have a general awhile back actually.

i was hype for yatagarasu on release but by the time i could buy a drm free copy i was back to playing kof'98

Forever niche love

I really miss GGAC+R. Had a ton of fun with the AC games.
It's a shame none of them are available on Fightcade either.

people born on Nov. 7th, 1998 can post on Holla Forums

I wish fightcade had support for the CvS games and Marvel 2. or someone made a fightcade equivalent for 3D fighters, like Tekken 1-3 + Tag Tournament and Virtua Fighter.

Makes sense
Fuck this Earth

Even Xturd is dead already on PC, and that's the goddamn latest thing out. If Revelator ever comes out there, I give it 3 months tops before it sinks too

Cross platform would be a really nice way to fix that.
Cant see Arksys making that investment though.

JTL is hiatus and there will never be the same amount of playerbase

But it is something, and I should be more grateful.

Every time I'm reminded that this exists, I get depressed.

f

I was almost a VO for lethal league.
Was offered it at a tempestuous time in my life so I was unable to take the role.

Also the feel that will never not feel

Guarantee I'm older than you faggot, and if you weren't such an unlikable, bitter little twat, maybe you'd have friends willing to play Zero Hour with you like I do.

I miss TF2 and idle servers

How does one connect to this server? I want to pick up S4 again

Fuck, I remember seeing someone mention here about a year or so ago that there were still a few servers still up and running. Wish I had bothered to check back then.

You can still play 2 & 2142 via the Revive Launcher.

Shit I was just looking through my wishlist, was thinking of buying Lethal League. Think if my friends would play it'd still be worth it?

End your life.

If I ever had something like this happen to me I'd wear a headband. Full naruto style, I really wouldn't give a shit.

Nah, DA:Boogaloo is ass

I-it's possible to at least solo it. R-r-right guys?

mutiplayer for this game was bretty good

Go to bed Ardy

...

...

Yeah, you have 7 heroes, go wild.

Ironically, when they published an actually good ASSFAGGOTS in before "that's an oxymoron", they Old Yeller'd it right before a major patch.

bunkers4league.000webhostapp.com/ Here's everything you need to know. Be sure to check FAQ and
ALLOW S4 THROUGH YOUR FIREWALL!
Sadly though Chaser, Captain and Arcade modes are unavailable at the time but i'm sure you'll enjoy playing DM in many mode locked maps like Bladecity and Temple-O.

Any co-op hidden gems out there? Preferably 3+ players and pirate-friendly.

Lost Planet 2
